Really enjoyed our recent stay. Very clean and friendly staff.

I would recommend putting bathroom fans in improving the hygiene products. They were very drying, not at all appealing. The shower was nice except the water took forever to get warm.

The hotel is excellent and the service is the first class. The breakfast is the best of the Blacksburg and the service provided by Juan Castillo is excellent. Mr. Castillo is very nice and friendly. Excellent resources.

First the customer service was excellent and my room was more than comfortable, clean and the coffee was great.

We were really impressed with the quality of service and how clean and quiet our rooms were. The pool was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The coffee in the lobby was fresh, and the breakfast was great! Staff was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Blacksburg over the weekend and had an awesome experience. The staff at the front desk was really helpful, and got us all set up with two amazing rooms that were extremely quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was great, we had fun with the machine that made the pancakes, and of course we always love to take a dip in the indoor pool, which was a great plus. Highly recommended!

Stayed here twice. First time was in an executive suite, which was nice all around. The second was in a standard room, and it just wasn't very clean. Grease stains on the chairs, spills in the fridge, hair in the sinks, etc. Additionally, while the idea of USB chargers is great, they just didn't work in my room. Plugged my own charger into the outlet and it worked just fine.

I stayed here for a week for work. I was very impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked well. I would definitely stay here again. It's in a great location that's close to everything I needed to go to. It's not far from the Virginia Tech campus either. I didn't have to pay for the room because I was here for work but the rate was very reasonable. The breakfasts leave something to be desired but for the cost it's not overly surprising. That would definitely recommend staying here while in Blacksburg.

On a quick trip through Blacksburg, we needed a place to stay that was easy, affordable, and felt like more than just a pit stop. We got that in this hotel — it's close to a lot of good dining options but it also feels somewhat secluded in a peaceful, chill way. Will be back whenever I'm in the area, count on it!

My husband and I stayed here back in february and loved our stay! the staff was great Pam was very helpful with everything. We had a few problems in our room but Derek with maintenance was very quick to fix the problems we will definitely be staying here from now on!

I went to Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Blacksburg for a job interview for another company. The place was absolutely wonderful. The first thing you see when you pull up is this beautiful water fountain across from the entrance. As I proceeded inside the lady at the front counter was very helpful and super kind. The lobby is pretty huge with a breakfast and lunch mini bar, across the room is every thing you need for coffee. Everyone I met there was very professional and helpful as well as nice. Id love to stay the night just because, lol.

I had a very enjoyable stay at The Holiday Inn Express and Suites. I usually don't post but this one was worth mentioning. It started with the front desk people of Josh and Rick. I had booked a King Suite but at the last moment my daughter wanted to travel with me. Josh must have been getting off shift, but he started the process and got me a two bed suite. The room was large and comfortable and had 2 televisions. The breakfast was full and ample. They had pancakes, sausage, eggs and dry cereal. It was a great way to start our journey. I recommend this spot for anyone passing through Blacksburg, VA.

I was having the WORST possible travel day anyone could have, btw picking up those coupons for cheap $%#& hotels in the states is not the way to go. Blacksburg Holiday Inn Express saves the day, OMG I can’t thank this hotel enough. Friday night on the eve of March break, last leg and last minute, 10pm with what I thought was a hopeless cause, these wonderful people saved my vacation. Staff were super, super helpful! and very accommodating. Will not only recommend this hotel to others but will ALWAYS! stay here on the way down to Florida every time I ever go!

The inn itself is very clean and nice. The staff are kind and accommodating. The breakfast is typical for US inn breakfast. The location of the inn is not very ideal for those without cars to transport themselves as I have to walk a good deal to go to and from Virginia Tech campus.

I like the set up of the room. All of the staff was friendly and the hot breakfast was fine. It is also in a location convenient to the highway and Va Tech.

What a great place! First the staff was very friendly. The rooms we so nice. I almost forgot I was staying in a hotel. The workout room was great as well as me and my wife both were able to get in our workouts at the same time since there was more than just one machine to workout on. The hotel is also conveniently located right next to a gas station and the freeway. This is a very nice reasonable place to stay. I will be back!

I found myself back at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Blacksburg, VA. And could not have been happier to be back. It was another late check-in and the staff was so very friendly and helpful. The room offered a really nice kitchen set up and even had a living room next to the bedroom. The place really raises the bar in what they offer. The beautiful, indoor pool was a real plus. The workout room offer a good variety of options and weights, which you do not find in a lot of hotels. I really enjoyed their complimentary breakfast the first I was there and it was just as good as I remember it. I can't wait to come back to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Blcksburg, VA… Again.

Stayed here for about two weeks. The staff here is great, some of the nicest people I've had greet me and help me out. The rooms are all really nice. The internet here needs an upgrade though.

This hotel is in close proximity to the Virginia Tech campus. We visit a couple of times each year to visit our grandson who is a student at the school. Very comfortable accommodations, great breakfast buffet and very pleasant staff. Rates are reasonable.

Absolutely, a wonderful stay and experience. Staff was fantastic with this last minute booking need. They provided SEVERAL options for our situation and were so magnificently pleasant with all of our questions. My husband isn't necessarily the easiest guest with rushed decisions; he had NOTHING but positive words for this stay. Staff tried to clean as we were still in, prior to check out, and staff went out of their way to apologize for disturbing us (they didn't but they still wanted to make the point to acknowledge their mis-doing, and it was appreciated). We work SO much and have not had a chance to relax in several months, even weekends, and this stay (though only one night) REALLY helped us recharge. The break away from monotony was great, but it more so was the pleasantries received by every single staff member with whom we encountered (Chef, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Booking, EVERYONE! )

Got into this Holiday Inn Express after a long 7 hour trip on the road. My wife and I came into the largest HIE Lobby we’d ever seen. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is quiet and beautiful, but there is also a convenience store just up from the drive way that is very convenient indeed! After the long drive we took a nice but short walk down to the Virginia Tech area where there were tons of restaurant and grocery options. We got caught in the rain and it felt amazing to come back to our suite, dry off and relax on the super comfortable beds. Having the mini kitchenette was great for us to eat healthy on the road. While staying here, we were easily able to get some extra work done and to totally relax. Would come back here in a heartbeat!

Apparently this property was remodeled recently and it is exceptionally nice. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Both the daytime and the nighttime staff were pleasant and they also had a fully stocked pantry with chips, candy, drinks and other goodies which is great for late night snacks. Conveniently located near Virginia Tech campus which is perfect if you have any business there. If/when I'm in the area again I'll definately stay here again.

Very large room with kitchenette, table and four chairs, and room to set up sleeper sofa in front section. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast selection was nice. Front desk staff helpful. Will definitely return.

The Holiday Inn Express in Blacksburg Virginia is a great hotel with a gorgeous backdrop! It's setback in a lush wooded area that is still slightly minutes drive away from the college life. If you like to go for walks the area around the hotel will be perfect. My check-in was a breeze and both yesterday and today the staff has been helpful and courteous. The hotel and my room are both clean and comfortable and my king size bed was a dream! They also have a great workout room and a beautiful pool. Also there's a decent selection for breakfast. How are you gonna go wrong with the pancake machine? I enjoyed my stay here very much and would love to come back!

This place is a 10 out of 10. I was coming to the area for a show in Pearisburg and this hotel was perfectly situated for a short commute to the venue. The front desk attendant was very helpful and friendly—at one point, I had to stop at the front desk pretty late at night for extra towels and soap and they accommodated me right away. There's also a 24-hour store in the lobby with essentials (Tylenol, toothpaste, snacks, drinks, newspapers) which is really convenient. I stayed with a party of 5 in 2 rooms and the rooms were super spacious, very comfortable and perfectly clean. I love the natural light that comes in the rooms, too! The double bed suite we had also had a little kitchen area with a microwave and fridge—that came in handy. Of course, the free breakfast is a huge plus, too. Everything tastes great and the chef is so friendly—he was walking around to every table greeting people. This is my second stay here and I will absolutely be back!

For anyone visiting the Virginia Tech campus, this hotel is a 10 out of 10. The staff is super friendly, and the accommodations are great—from the free breakfast to the 24 hour fitness center, to the coffee and tea the lobby for guests at all times! My friend and I stayed for one night in a suite room which featured a table and chairs (for dining), a desk, a sofa and chair, a microwave and fridge, and a comfortable king size bed. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and it looks great! The room was spotless and all the amenities were top notch. Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel was immaculately clean! Staff was super friendly to any request thrown at them. The gentleman who handled breakfast was SUPERB! Great place + great staff = repeat customer.

The room was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very well maintained. If I have to stay in Blacksburg again for work I plan on staying here. The only downside is the price, it is a little higher then we would like to pay. But in this case you get what you pay for and you could argue that it is well worth it. Just wish they would take pets also.

We spent the weekend, Friday through Sunday and it was the typical exceptional HIE experience. Of note was the Desk Clerk, Margie, who was on when we checked in and who helped me during our stay. She was pleasant, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She certainly was an exceptional HIE representative. The young man who ran the breakfast room was also exceptional, interested in the guests, friendly and attentive, and he maintained the breakfast bar even with a high throughput. And the biscuits were the best I have had at HIE. I interfaced with several employees over the weekend and they were all personable and friendly, good job HIE. I really loved the two elevators unlike many HIE's, makes a huge difference in livability.

Comfort Inn — Blacksburg, VA is first class all the way. The management and staff are friendly. The hotel is very well maintained. This is not your grandfather's Comfort Inn. It's a hotel meant for people like myself looking for a place with personality. For the price this is the place to be. I highly recommend this property and will refer friends, family, and business associates for many years to come.

The worst hotel experience possible I wouldn't even give it one star! I booked a room at this hotel based on the great reviews I read online. Was it actually the same place? 1. Checked in on Saturday evening to find our room had not been completely cleaned-the trash can wasn't emptied, tolietries were missing so we asked for another room. 2. The room they gave us was occupied by someone else so we were back to the first room as it was the only room available in the hotel-we should have left at that point. 3. Wake up in the morning to find BEDBUGS-ugh! 4. We tried to speak with management about this the morning of check out but we were told they were not available. Front desk took our number and said someone would call but we're still waiting for a return phone call from them even after several phone calls to the hotel several days later. What kind of customer service is that? 5. All I can say is stay away from this place!

We stayed for one night and booked a double. The staff was very friendly and the room and facilities were immaculate and looked fairly new. The complimentary breakfast was pretty basic, with eggs, waffles, and sausages, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot. The Wi-Fi was a little slow for videos, but generally usable. Overall a good value.

I'll start out by saying the front desk staff was great. Good attitudes, helpful, friendly, etc. Also has good proximity to VT. Everything else, however? Not so great. I do quite a bit of business travel and see my fare share of hotels rooms — I'd rate this hotel at the lower end. When I first drove up, I wasn't sure if the hotel was open or closed, as when I looked up at the building, I saw mattresses leaned up against the windows on the top two stories. (I learned they are renovating, but it did not appear this way at first). The room seemed pretty outdated and in need of repair. The TV remote did not work, there were holes in the carpet, the ice machine on my floor did not work. I left for dinner and came back to find the automatic front doors would not open. Another guest and I walked back and forth in front of the doors for about 30 seconds until they finally opened. I asked the woman at the front desk about it and she said they just installed a new door and it'd take a few days to kick into gear. (? ) The staff was great, everything else about the hotel was sub-par… with the other options around, I wouldn't come back again.
