Review of Quality Inn & Suites Tacoma - Seattle 2*

OUR WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! We had reservations, showed up to check in 5 hours after check in time, we were told that the Housekeeping did not come in or was short-staffed and our room was not cleaned yet. Was given a key to another room and found it was occupied when we let ourselves in! Came back to the lobby and there were about 15 to 18 more people waiting for their rooms with only one person working the hotel that whole night, the desk manager who couldn't break away to go clean rooms for people (poor lady). Talked to a few other people waiting in the lobby who had been there a few days before and found the same problem (their room wasn't cleaned yet) and went to find another hotel. Meanwhile another woman came back who had been given a key to three different rooms three different times and the last time found out it was occupied when she walked in. We finally got a room about 10 p. M. We finally got ourselves and the kids settled in and then turned down the sheet on one of the beds to find they were not clean! Finally got settled down a couple hours later than we wanted to so we didn't get up real early to make it down for breakfast. We got down for breakfast and barely got started when someone from the hotel staff came over at about 7 minutes to 9 and started pulling the waffle batter and all the bagels and everything out as fast as she could and telling people " hurry up and get what you need breakfast is closed at 9:00! " There were literally people in line waiting for the waffle batter and she picked up the batter and put it away. I talked to her later and she said the owner is super tight and gets very upset if she is not all completely cleaned up and clocked off by 11 a. M. At first glance the lobby has had a complete makeover and looks beautiful like a five-star hotel. But the hallways and stairs haven't been vacuumed in weeks and it is just dingy and poor and run down everywhere else! I don't know how Quality Inn runs their other hotels, but it sounds like whoever owns this one is super cheap and doesn't put anything into caring for the people that stay there. I would never recommend this hotel or any other quality Inn if the rest of them are like this.
