The room was amazing, clean and comfortable! The workers were fast and friendly!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Not if you value your property. Was told by the clerk that parking right by the front of the hotel near lobby would be a safe spot. Woke up to my vehicle being vandalized and robbed. Their camera system is garbage and they claim to be not responsible for the welfare of your vehicle while parked there. My guess is an inside job, too much taken to be a quick job, these people were comfortable with not getting caught. ****************************************************************** In response to the owners comments TWO YEARS after my initial review. When you take responsibility for the many thousands of dollars done in damages and property stolen, then we can discuss whether I would ever stay there again. There were items taken that were irreplaceable along with some that were extremely expensive and needed for our business. Again the attitude of the staff was ridiculous to think there was no responsibility on the properties part. To not feel safe at a property is sad.

Horrible place, the people who work there are extremely rude. They require a $50 Deposit and say it will be refunded the next day. Yet they didn't actually take the money out of my account for 3 days… and now it will take 4-5 days to be refunded. When I called managment, he was a complete Ass towards me and hung up on me.

It is a solid cozy travel motel. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking for luxury, but as a temporary place to stay and or an on the road stop, it definitely suffices. The staff has been friendly, and hotel has been clean.

Breakfast wasn't very great nor was the selection for breakfast. Advertised $50 refundable deposit, however it was actually $100. Otherwise would have been a 5 star.

Super nice people that work there and the room are currently remodeled and smell so new and clean… will be back again…

Pre payed for room, had to leave a day early for emergency at home. Would NOT refund money. Peter looked like he wanted to punch me. Avoid. Sure wish you would have thrown that punch Peter. Island Don you CAN'T possibly be serious.

Fridge had to be unplugged because it started squealing.

They are very kind and want your stay to be restful and peaceful. I just wish these types of hotels have a better understanding of service and housekeeping… but this place was very clean and warm … and most importantly. Safe.

Worst motel experience ever there was no power in the room when I got there they said it would be on in a few min 2hours later when still no power moved to a different room that had power but no TV no Wi-Fi no microwave I had to take the coffee pot in the bathroom to brew a cup of coffee and they would not give me my money back or even a discount.

Brown water. No smoke detectors. Treated like children. Loud trains go by continuously. Barking dogs outside. Rude man at the desk. Elevator smells like they use to much purple cleaner. Thin doors u can hear the screams from the working girls.

I stayed in the queen Jacuzzi suite and was so excited to have a nice relaxing night. The tub was ok but the room smelled badly — just old smell, mostly in the bathroom area and by the window/fan. There were tiles loose in the bathroom and pretty sure that is black mold growing out of it. The bed was the most horrible bed I have ever slept on. The floor would have been better. It was a thin, old mattress and hard as a rock. The fan is very loud and makes horrible sounds throughout the night. I was startled out of sleep many times. I turned it off but then the stuffy old smell would force me to turn it back on. I got very little sleep as I was so uncomfortable. Not worth the money I spend, so sad I gave it a try. I can tell the Village Inn franchise made some changes like the nice secure doors and the blankets are pretty new and modern, but that is all… lipstick on a pig is still a pig. I told the front office when I checked out how unpleasant the room is and her response was did you call the front desk? In the middle of the night? To do what change the mattress and 100 year old fan out? Not helpful. Called manager and he didn't seem surprised or concerned. Please do not waste your money — It was a $165 bad night sleep for me.

A plumber's paradise! Unfortunately, I'm no plumber. It took 2 tubs of water before the bath water became hot. The night clerk offered to help & suggested it took so long because the room had been empty for 3 or 4 months. Upon 1st AM flush, the toilet overflowed for no apparent reason. My pajamas were wet w/ sewage & I used all the bath linen to mop up the flood. Front-desk C'los refused to send a plunger; said the mess was my "stuff. " I should come get the plunger; he couldn't leave his post. Nor would he send fresh towels; said I had to trade soiled towels to get clean ones. I refused to gather that mess & dribble to the front desk for clean towels. If I knew the owner of the Village Inn, I'd address this with him or her and discuss the term, "hospitality industry. "

My husband and I spent our first night of our honeymoon here. Unfortunately, that end of town has gotten a bit dodgy, but we encountered no problems. The desk staff was decent enough. We stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites. The room was huge and clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The jacuzzi was AWESOME.

The rudest staff/owners I have ever met! There was dangerous wiring exposed, outlets didn't work, lights were broken, phone doesn't call the front desk automatically and phone number isn't given. We woke up with bug bites on all of us. They are just looking for anything to charge you extra for. Our car had broken down which is why we stayed there and they would let us get a later checkout while we waited 30 minutes for a rental car with three kids! If you aren't out if your room at 11am they will charge your credit card again! The area is also shady, I was asking for money and cigarettes twice just outside. Avoid!
