We are spending 5 days of a family reunion/vacation, and had planned for a professional to take pictures for a new family portrait. She was spot on with the location she picked. What beautiful backdrops for our photos. Such a magically beautiful area. We are all in love, as we marveled at the scenery.

This park is so cool. Lots of trails and canyons you can explore. My favorite part was the lava tubes. Bring flashlights you can wear on your head and go down the lava tubes if you get a chance!

Easily the best state park in Utah. If it wasn't in Utah it would be a national park. There are lots of hiking opportunities of all levels, great for the whole family. They have several picnic areas, places to walk dogs, bike paths to bike ride, just an awesome park. If you want a nice morning run or bike ride try West Canyon road right next to the Sand Dunes.

This is the perfect place to visit. Breath taking views of red cliffs, cinder cones, lava tubes. There is a nice little path for biking and walking. I always have my family pictures taken here because there are great views in every direction. I love the historical aspects too with pioneer names written with axle grease, and the petroglyphs (hard to find). Jenny’s canyon is great for small children who don’t love to hike. I love that this is my backyard!

Such a beautiful State Park! There's so much to see here! Slot canyons, pioneer names, red rocks and sand, scenic overviews, and hikes. I had a lot of fun here. The rangers were very nice as well! I came here to explore for the day, but it would be a phenomenal place to camp!

This is a hidden gem in Utah's desert country. Located at the juncture of the Colorado Plateau to the East, the Great Basin to the West, and the Mojave Desert to the South, this small region has a remarkable mix of Navajo Sandstone, newly-formed basalt, sand dunes, and other impressive geological features. You would be surprised to see how beautiful and green it's canyons are. Above all, are the short but beautiful hiking areas — perfect for children as their grippy sandstone inspires confidence in their abilities. The views are incredible too. Crowds can be an issue on holidays. Go during the week, in the morning hours, and during the off season.

It is a minor park, you can visit comfortably in the day, or even in 4 or 5 hours if you are satisfied with the main points. It is located in the St. George area, so very convenient to find and visit as you move between the major parks of the area (Bryce, Zion, …).
Here the erosion of the water and the geological forces have created spectacular "waves" of the sedimentary rock, with warm and variegated colours. In the presence of rains, even modest, are formed pools in which live (or re-live) triops, small freshwater crustaceans with three eyes (unchanged from prehistoric eras) able to leave the eggs in a state of suspension even for many months waiting Of the water needed to hatch them. These animals, like all, must be respected, but it is beautiful fun and instructive to look for them and photograph them in the numerous pools that characterize the territories of the park.
In the park there is also a campsite.
Snow Canyon is a "state park" so its entrance is subject to a modest ticket (only 6 per vehicle more occupants) not included in the "Annual Pass" card.

This is a great local place to come and Hike or have a picnic or go horseback riding. This beautiful little canyon is a great getaway spot for not far from St. George. There are lots of easy hikes for kids and adults. There is a little sand dunes right off the main road and they don't allow any vehicles so it's a fun spot to play in the sand.

I brought my kids down to use our State Parks pass. This was my first time here and I had a great time. My kids are young and there were multiple hikes available. Jenny's Canyon was cool. It has a small slot canyon that my kids enjoyed. My kids enjoyed climbing up the rocks at Pioneer Names trail.
