This place is awesome. It’s on top of a hill and the view is amazing. They have animals that roam the property and you can feed them. I give this place 5 stars.

My husband and I stayed there 3 nights and it was great! Peaceful and restful. The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable, nice decor. There was 2 donkeys, a llama, a cow and a cat. All the animals were super friendly. I will be back! Thank you so much! Patricia Glass.

Everything about this place is perfect! It is in a quiet, relaxing, and beautiful setting. The llama, donkeys, and cat are so friendly and it was so much fun petting them. Everything you could possibly need was included in the room. We will definitely go back! We stayed in the Sunshine Cabin and there was plenty of room!

Great place to get away. Well thought out amenities. Easy access to town but out of the crowd. Beautiful night sky.

My husband and I stayed here for the Snow crab fest Bankersmith and it was so awesome! Quiet, beautiful and the room was gorgeous. We had a great time!

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 year anniversary here! The owner was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed while we stayed. We walked in our cabin and there was wine, chocolate candy and roses. This place was so romantic and charming. My husband and I can't wait until our next anniversary to come back and stay. Hands Down it's definitely the place to go for a Romantic weekend!

Coming from Houston, my husband and I needed a peaceful getaway where we could unwind. After doing some research, A Barn at the Quarry sounded like just what we needed. Boy were we right! First of all, the location of the "Barn" was perfect for us. At first I thought that since it was off the beaten path a bit, that it would be inconvenient. Not so. We found the drive from downtown's Main Street back to our cottage very relaxing. We saw tons of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, numerous birds, etc. Along the way. Driving through nature was very therapeutic for us. The cottage we stayed in, the North Country Suite, was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Kerry, the owner, kept the room well-stocked with everything we could need. She also threw in a few extras (wonderful apple strudels! ) She came by to introduce herself the day we arrived and introduced the resident donkeys and llama to us. They were all so sweet and gentle. The thing we loved the most was the large, beautiful patio area. We sat out there every evening and enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine that Kerry left us, while we talked to our next door neighbors and watched the sunset. We could hear the wild turkeys gobbling in the distance, which made us all laugh. This will definitely be "our place" to stay when we come to Fredericksburg. We came back to Houston rested and refreshed, with wonderful memories of our visit.

A Barn at The Quarry is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay. It’s peaceful, quiet, and charming. We loved the animals freely roaming around including a Llama, 2 donkeys, and several little armadillos. We did the 290 wine tour and stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and the owner even left us a complimentary bottle of wine. She stocks the fridge with all kinds of goodies, and you can tell she really takes care of the place. We will definitely be back!

This was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed! It’s secluded and private and PERFECT for a couples getaway or even for a family. My husband and I visited for our first anniversary, and it was magical. We did the 290 wine tour and the owner even left us a bottle of wine for our anniversary. She really pays attention to detail. The cabin is nice and the jacuzzi tub and hot tub outside are so relaxing. It was so fun seeing all the animals just come up to the cabin to say hello including a Llama, 2 donkeys, and several armadillos! We will definitely be back ❤️

Adorable, cozy cabins. Quiet area with friendly donkeys, goats and a llama. Inside the cabin was very welcoming and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Such a great place for a getaway in the Texas hill country!
The B&B is a short drive from downtown Fredericksburg — less than 10 minutes — which is nothing compared to a commute in DFW. It is also the same distance from all of the highway 290 wineries and only a few miles from the Tunne State Park which is home to freetail bats.
It is so peaceful, quiet, and romantic with wildlife and wildflowers. We sat at the outdoor fireplace and looked at the stars at night. We literally had our own petting zoo to greet us in the morning — 2 miniature donkeys, a llama, 2 longhorns. This was the perfect place for us! We will recommend it to all of our friends, and it is the only place we want to stay for our return trips.

Nice and quite. You can take a real country walk and enjoy nature. It is just Pleasant.

A Barn at the Quarry is the coolest place. If you love the countryside, wildlife, campfire, marshmallows, the sweetest animals that roam the ranch… this is your place. The owners have made a little piece of heaven right in Texas. They were so nice and made sure your stay was comfortable. The quarters are so quaint and absolutely sparkling clean! Can't wait to go back…

We had a wonderful stay over New Year's Eve weekend. If you are looking for a horse trail ride, Hill Country Trail Rides was just down the road. My wife and I loved running from the barn, we found that running down Grapetown Rd was a beautiful escape. We enjoyed the presence of animals and the wood fire on the patio on a cold evening. We picked up some steaks and vegetables at HEB to grill for a nice evening at the barn.

We stayed in La Casita (the sort of mother-in-law suite attached to the main house). It was very nice. So peaceful. Very clean. They had a sweet dog and some other animals around. The snacks and breakfast were good as well. The views were pretty and the star gazing was excellent. Great value and the hosts were kind and helpful! Thanks for a great stay! Wish we could have stayed longer.

The whole barn at the quarry was perfect for our group of 10! Our rental included the kitchen which was in a separate building and I initially thought that was going to be very weird, but it was awesome having it separate. If someone wanted to stay up late or get up for coffee early, they didn't have to worry about waking anyone else. But the best part was the surroundings and grounds. Beautiful views and out in the country so the star gazing was fabulous as was the hot tub and fireplace outside! Would definitely rent again!
