What a great place to stay! Staff goes out of their way to help and serve! The rooms are squeaky clean and beautiful! The manager is amazing! Highly recommend this hotel in Port Lavaca!

free breakfast at the hotel was alright the breakfast tacos were very plain but it was free and the staff serving me were amazing. Love the hotel very clean and accommodating. They upgraded us for free.

Very clean and completely renovated. Love the modern furniture and look. Beds very amazingly comfortable. Pool and hot tub were very relaxing.

This is the best place to stay in Port Lavaca awesome breakfast, clean quiet rooms. The night manager took great care of us.

It kinda sad. Still lots of damage to the hotel from hurricane Harvey just barely a year ago. But have to give them alot of credit for putting their best foot foward they have a long way to go but definitely deserve a shot.

The night staff is rude and good luck getting an extra towel or blanket. Apparently the maids "only wash what they need. " It is, however, a nice and clean place to sleep.

This was a nice hotel. The views are nice, the pool was nice and the free breakfast was good with a wide variety of options. There is no beach access (we misunderstood when booking our room here) and the hotel is still under renovations from Harvey. The staff was nice except for the lady restocking the breakfast buffet — — don't ask her if they have more of something, she'll treat you like you are the worst person in the world. All in all, we had a great time at this hotel.

The staff is amazing. They could use some variance in their breakfast. Over all the stay was extremely enjoyable. We stay there at least once a year.

I didn't realize how badly damaged this hotel was from Harvey. My husband said that the side of the hotel was basically gone. There was still plenty of construction going on, and the first room we were put in smelled like mildew. They did move us to a different room and it didn't smell, so no complaints there. Will probably be back to visit my husband at work.

What a great family hotel… and they make u feel like family. The staff was super sweet and very friendly… and was very informative of the area and what would be great to explore. I haven't mentioned that the location is perfect… you can bring some lawn chairs and fish from the seawall or just enjoy the scenery. There is a beach across the street with awesome sand for sandcastles. We will definitely be back!

We stayed a few weeks back at this hotel. The view is beautiful, the location is perfect, the rooms are clean and the customer service was excellent. I will definitely be back next month.

Horrible experience. We were sitting at our table for 20 minutes, I had to go ask for the manager, who was in the office and took a while to come out, and didn't really care about what I said. She started yelling the name of our server. We finally got her to take our order, then someone else brought our food, and when our server came to our table again, it took her a couple of trips to get what we needed. We will definitely not go back to that particular IHOP.

Miss Teri, the manager is an absolute gem. Any concerns or questions I’ve had she has went above and beyond to make sure our stay is great. Hotel is right on the water and has a beautiful view. Fast Wi-Fi, Rooms are great (AC in the rooms rock! ) That’s an important one for me and I look forward to coming back.

Great place to stay. Great management and very good staff. Still cleaning up from hurricane Harvey, but still a great place to stay. Ask for a bay view, it us worth it.

Expected comfort that comes with Holiday Inn Express and Suites. This property is situated on Lavaca Bay near the causeway and close to local attractions. Please note at time of this review property is still under renovation and repair due to hurricane Harvey.

What an amazing staff and manager. I came to you late at night with a horrible experience on my first night with another hotel. You where so gracious and kind to me even apologized for what the other hotel did to me. Your manager is an amazing person who was so kind and welcoming. Even though your rates where higher then anyone else (but not much) it was worth every penny. I felt so cared for and welcomed. Your manager deserves a bonus. I have stayed in countless hotels over my time (including some very fancy 5 star hotels) and have never been treated with such kindness and respect. Before I walked into this hotel I was ready to jump the next plan and get the H E double hockey sticks out of that State. After my experience with your hotel I am looking forward to another visit very soon. Thank You so much.

Definitely a sweet spot in the Golf Coast but it's staff (specially de front desk staff) is a bit snappy, irreverent and not helpful at all. The company sure did a good job after Harvey trying to make a quick comeback as room was clean and no smell at all. Good job on that one! We love coming in here for its location but it's service is far from being even a 3 star. And don't believe when they tell you (repitedely) to book through them for a better rating because I have personally proved to them how untruthful that is. I truly hope they get better, as they have one of the best spots in town but they are not being grateful for that blessing at all.

Really super sweet staff at this hotel. They were under construction but it was still a great stay. The breakfast room had a great view of the bay, and I love love love the front desk people.

Really was not happy when we arrived here. The hotel has flooded so of course it stinks. Understandable. But I cannot see a reason it should be so dirty! The elevator looks like it's never been cleaned. The curtains in the room were stained very badly. House keeping was definitely lacking. The walls are paper thin and the coffee is cold.

Beautiful room! Loved everything except the noise from the people going in and out of the exit door near our room.

Tv doesn't work. Also despite having the "Shhhhh" Do not disturb sign on door, housekeeping knocked on door at 9 am. They are also very loud and knocks on all doors. They were complaining about the guests in the hallway and I could hear them as the wall to the hallway is very thin. Also I don't think just using fabreeze is a good substitute for not changing sheets in-between guests. Will avoid Holiday Inn hotels from now on.

Great friendly staff. We're a long-time IHG rewards member and they upgraded us to a suite at no charge. Always clean and comfortable.

I stay in hotels all the time for work and I don't have particularly high expectations… I do however when Im charged almost $200 for a single night. The building is trash the rooms are dated the alarm clock went off at midnight. If someone on the other side of the building sneezes you hear it. Breakfast was trash and I got a mouth full of coffee grounds in my morning cup of joe. The two stars go to the staff they were pretty chill. If you can stay somewhere cheaper or stay in a nicer place in Victoria.

Everything was very nice! Great room comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was hot and fresh with a bay view. All the staff were really friendly.

Perfect! We arrived early and accommodated us with a early check-in. Front desk attendant was polite. Our room was comfy and clean. The deck over looking water was quiet and peaceful (a great break from the all day rowdyness of my kids). Already planning our second trip back. Teri, the manager, was awesome. She was polite and made sure we had every thing we needed.

Called and booked room three days in advance of stay. Requested and paid for a king suit. Office staff Page and Christiana assured us the room would be available. Day of arrival what do you know both staff member are apologizing that they have over booked and no rooms were available. Will never book here again. Very unprofessional!

My husband has been here a couple of months working and I come as often as I can. The people here are very helpful and always nice and accommodating to our needs. Terri is a wonderful take charge leader. Since he is on nights they try to work around our times and that's awesome. The view is spectacular also. Thank ya'll so much!

I made my reservations online and it asked if I wanted extra pillows I said yes and it asked for preferences about being near the elevator and I said I prefered to be away from it. When I checked in I was 2 doors from the elevator and had no extra pillows. I would have preferred a bay view but wasnt given that option when making reservations. Weve stayed at this holiday inn express in port lavaca quite a few times. Staff is always friendly. Nice breakfast in the morning but when you earn points, if you dont stay again within a year, you lose your points.

Absolutely 5 STARS! Sabrina, Tammy and all of the staff at this hotel are beyond words when it comes to the level of customer service, kindness, guest connection on a downright human level! You feel completely welcomed! We came out for my birthday weekend coincidentally Memorial weekend also and were a little apprehensive that it would feel crowded during our stay. Although the beach and the hotel were full we never felt over run by people. The breakfast is well worth waking up early for and the layout of the establishment was a sweet setup… my family and I enjoyed our stay Immensely! From the balcony with the cute teal colored adirondack chairs… to the pool, the gym, hot tub and even a gazebo… this place was worth every penny! Second stay at this hotel so far and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time we come out! LOVED IT!

Most filthy carpets of any Holiday inn we have stayed in and the deodorizind scent was so strong it permeated our clothing. Cut our stay short.

Such a refreshing place to spend a vacation or a one night trip. Is well worth every dollar. Thank you so much to the cook who faithfully gets up very early and cooks those wonderful breakfasts. Excellent service at check in. The receptionist was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a the King Suite for one night. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. Complimentary breakfast was what could be expected from a Holiday Inn. Big Plus: the beach is right across the road.

Stayed for a night and loved it, rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

Great short stay. Service was warm and friendly, room was spacious and comfortable with a great view (206, bay view), and hotel is modern and clean. Nice snack tray put out Friday evening with chips, dips, and veggies. Breakfast was above average and free. Location is great, across the road from a nice park with a wetland elevated trail along the coast, connected to a smallish but nice beach. Awesome place to watch the sunrise! Back to the hotel; didn't try the hotel pool, Wi-Fi was fine (6-7 mbps download), and HDTV had typical cable options. All in all a great stay, may well have to come back again.

My husband and I believe that this is the best Holiday Inn we have ever been too! Beautiful rooms and super clean! Great service! As well as a great breakfast! Would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Port Lavaca.

My immediate family and I stayed the weekend at the Port Lavaca Holiday Inn. I can honestly say it was the best hotel experience we've ever had. Jeff, the night manager, was more than accomodating for us. Ashley at the front desk always had a smile and was very kind. Carina on the phone was very helpful and kind. Even the hotel housekeeping staff was friendly and asked how our stay was. I have stayed at hotels that cost 3x as much and have never had a more welcome feeling staying at any other hotel. I will definitely be back to Holiday Inn Port Lavaca. Thank you Holiday Inn for making our awesome weekend even better! (Stayed in 2Queen Suite).

The maid services skipped my room 2 days in a row and then when I requested their services (I was supposed to be receiving regardless) and she FINALLY came she didnt change the trash or bring more trash bags. Also something was wrong with the toilet before I even used it the first time. SO everytime it was used I had to call to the front and have them come unstop it.
