Very clean, very comfortable, the pool was great, and friendly people. Breakfast was great too! The ONLY thing I would suggest is an outdoor shower by the pool. Thanks for helping me have a great birthday weekend with my husband and son!

Great place in Port Aransas!

This is the third time our family has stayed here. The staff is great! Very attentive and immediately respond to any questions or concerns. For us, this is a big deal. Customer service can make a break a place. This staff exceeds expectations. Rooms are spacious and clean. Continental breakfast is great. The location gives quick and easy access to everything.

Very nice inn. Breakfast included. Nice swimming pool. Very close drive to the beach.

Such a clean, family oriented hotel. Great rates. We will be back.

I love this place so much we extended our stay longer! Great rooms big spacious rock shower big enough for 2. Kids loved pool and my husband loved the grill also. Definitely the place to stay for a family vacation!

Well what can I say. The room was fine and the staff was nice. I did find a roach on the first day but I didnt see any after that. The second day a good amount of ants showed up in the bathroom. I couldnt tell where from or really where they were going. The only other thing was the drain in the shower kinda smelled in the morning. I would suggest that they get a scoop for the ice machine since everyone is sticking there hands, buckets and cooler inside to get ice. One guy was just messing with raw shrimp prior to using his hands to get ice. Other people are getting ice for drinks unknowingly.

Some of the rooms were ok. Others needed work. The pool pictures on line were deceiving. The pool is extremely small and it was busy. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it. They had a hose for their maintenance staff but guest were using it to clean off sand, creating a ton of water outside our door. I would probably try another place next time, the price for the room was very reasonable though.

Great place. Just got here today and the room is immaculate. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. For being the cheapest option for hotels we didnt know what to expect. But we are very pleasantly surprised. Beach is not far at all, and many restaurants and bars nearby. I personally prefer this hotel over the hyatt regency we spent our previous 2 nights in. If ever back in the area id definitely come back. I cant speak about the room service issues everyone seems to be complaining about. But I know how to clean my own room and prefer the privacy anyways. Great place.

After their sister hotel "Islander" sold our room, we were moved to this hotel. The location was minutes from the beach. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff was kidney and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed here this week. A friend recommended it and the reviews looked great. We were very happy when we checked it after a day at the beach. The room looked just like the pictures and was very clean. The next day when went to the beach and came back to our room that had NOT been serviced by housekeeping. You can imagine our disappointment. When I went to the front desk I was told there was no one available to clean it. (The floor now had 2 days of beach sand on it) We were given additional towels and told to put the dirty ones near the housecleaning closet. At checkout we were told we would recieve a $25 discount. Still waiting for the charge to show on our account to see if the discount is true.

Nice, clean, quiet. Prices a little high but it is better than driving back to corpus or waiting on the ferry.

Slept their for four days. It was great! Room service was good, they respected our privacy. And almost everyone acted professional. But, Washer have never been cleaned. Since I found some cloth that was DRENTCHED in liquid detergent (ew). When going to this hotel make sure you look at the reviews, because they dont care if they give you a messed up door lock. Second time ive seen them do that in the last couple of years.

Stayed here for 3 days the first day was okay but the last 2 were terrible. I killed multiple roaches. And the bathroom ceiling started too leak. It was very uncomfortable. Don't get anything on the first floor you can hear everything from above. Very thin walls. Only good thing was the complimentary breakfast.

Gave us a really nice room practically a small house for a discount price.

They had a great bed along with great service and breakfast. That's why I'm giving it five stars.

Visited during hurricane recovery period. Very clean rooms. Newly remodeled rooms. Nothing fancy but friendly free breakfast.

Absolutely great place to stay! Room looked brand new and was cleannnn! Great location! Great continental breakfast, choice of 4 diff cereals, 3 kinds of fruit, several bread choices for toast, waffles, coffee, orange juice, apple juice, muffins, fritters and more. If I am ever on the island again I will be staying here! Keep up the great work! Several other properties could take lessons on how a property should look and the services that guests appreciate!

They had Texas shaped waffles at the complimentary breakfast! The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's in a good location. Easily walkable to bars and restaurants.

Husband got a tooth infection from an extraction during our stay and the front desk did everything they could to keep him / us comfy during our stay. Clean rooms nice pool and free Wi-Fi a definite plus. Also within walking distance from some nice restaurants and bars.

Room was clean enough and bed was fine. Too much noise at 1 a. M… Running footsteps from the room above for 20 minutes. Hint: get an upstairs room if you can, but noise might still carry through side walls. Loud people just outside the door, also at 1 a. M. Sounded like arguing… made us a bit nervous. We got the room because it was close to fishing charter, but a 15 minute drive would have been worth the extra hour and half of sleep we missed. We didn't report anything, since we didn't want any trouble or retaliation from "other" guests.

Place is clean. Staff friendly. Only problem we had was in the pet walk area. It's pet friendly. The area they have to walk your dog is full of sand burs. My dog had more than 5 on her. In her paws. She refused to go in the grass after that. We also carried quite a few back to the room on our shoes. Needless to say. We stepped on a few barefoot.

No frills hotel. But clean and functional. The do allow pets so that is a big plus. Beds are pretty hard, but I sleep normally on a sleep number bed set at 25 out of 100. Pool is well kept. Would have given a 4 stars but every morning had to go get keys reset to open room.

A great place to stay on the island. It's within walking distance to most restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly, their was plenty of parking spaces and the rooms were very clean thanks to the awesome cleaning ladies. Not to mention they have ample amount of ice to fill up your ice chest for the beach or deep we fishing. Overall, a great place to stay over the weekend. Looking forward to staying here again soon.

We made it into town around 11 pm. We decided to stay at Captains Quarters Inn due to its close proximity to Dolphin Docks Inc. When checking in we asked when breakfast started and we were told 7 am. When we told her that was too bad because we had to be at DDI at 7 am she said "no problem, I can have it ready earlier" and had breakfast ready for us at 6:15 am! That is great customer service. The Inn is within walking distance of a bus stop, sports bar, and at least 5 pokestops. We had a great stay. The room was clean and stocked with soap, shampoo, extra towels and toilet paper. We will be staying again.

Facilities weren't great, especially for the price. Small roomsrooms, uncomfortable beds none less than friendly staff. Not terribly impressed.

Great little motel on Cotter. Good breakfast, great staff, clean rooms. Will be coming back.

Upon arrival we were greeted and treated with respect and the ladies at the desk are very friendly :-) Never once were we treated badly. I give lots of Kudo's to Barbara C. The manager and the ladies for such a great stay. Rooms are very clean, staff is very polite and friendly and informative. We have decided that this Inn will be our choice to stay every year we visit Port Aransas. I highly recommended this hotel if you want to have a fabulous stay on the Island.

While the location and the price for the area were nice, this is not a place that I would stay at again given a choice. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the amount of noise everything made from the ac unit to the fridge was absurd.

Myself and my wife stayed here from 04-28-2016 thru 04-30-2016 and the room we stayed in the drawers on the dresser was always falling off the phone didn't work and we had to wedge a bar of soap in the bathtub drain because the stopper would not stay up. Other than that it was ok.

Pretty awesome place for cheap. Right on the island so no long drive times to get to the beach.

Rooms are nice bit the 1st night a bunch of little white bugs came from nowhere. I think it was due to construction and the manager quickly changes our room. The staff was very helpful and nice.

My experience has nothing to do with the room. I booked the wrong night online, when I tried to call I was told that I had to fix online. Problem is there is no way to pull up future reservations online. So I called back and the young lady was no help, I then emailed the customer service… no response. I figured this was going to be an issue and true to my feelings, someone called me in the middle of the night so I did not get the call. Called this morning and was told that I would be billed because the reservation can't be cancelled within 48 hr of the reserved date. Again explained the situation but was told too bad. I guess next step is the BBB!

This hotel is for the fisherman that just need a place to lay their heads for a night or two that may not care where they stay. I was quite disappointed as I booked through Expedia and saw pictures of the hotel that surprisingly are nothing like the pictures in person. The drain plugs in the tub and sink are not attached, the shower curtain is way too long and has mold at the end of it due to everyone taking a shower, a hanger from many moons ago still hung in the bathroom, the soap was re-used (I threw it away), there was food and mold in the drawers (we only stayed one night so no need for their use), mold and years of dust on the lamp shades, the beds sunk in the middle and creaked loudly if you barely moved on them, the trash by the pool over flowed on the ground, no chairs to sit around the table at the pool, the pool water was an unusual color (did not swim), the furniture outside of the pool was on top of each other so you couldn't sit and the ac in the room was not very cold. Whew. I would not recommend a family or anyone wanting to enjoy their stay at PA to stay here. The price was okay but the hotel was worth a $59.99, if that. I took my chances with Expedia and pictures and lost! The only good thing is there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The beach is NOT within walking distance.

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BOOK HERE. "Manager" was never available to handle a simple change of reservation. Got run around repeatedly after multiple requests. Please save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Room was perfectly clean! Breakfast was nice and filling. Pool was clean and awesome! I will definitely stay again! Always book a week in advance.

It is not bad. But not really good either. A place to sleep, it is. Bed and shower OK. Location good. Breakfast meagre. Staff not really interested, or motivated. Many many signs on walls stating what you are supposed NOT to do.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but the rooms were very disappointing with old lamp shades and a fridge needing a defrosting.

I have been to Port Aransas whole summer in 2013 and stayed in Captain's Quarters Inn just for 6 days. What I would like to say. First of all. Low level of service! Probably the lowest level! Second. The staff does not care about customers. They do not even try to fix some problems. Reception was not friendly, even it was rude. Third. The price list is not fixed! Prices may vary from one week to another. That's why check the pricelist first before renting room. Make sure about that. When we (with my friends) were spending time in Captain's Quarters Inn we were told one price per week (100 $) initially and by the end of first week it became 300 $ per week. We rebelled and had a quarrel with reception after what we were kicked out. They do not know what refund is! I would not advice you all to stay Captain's Quarters Inn. It is not so good place as it might seem.

Well, I am planning some fishing trips this spring and summer and ran across the Captain Quarters Inn because one of my fishing stops will again be in Port Aransas. You know, I have read some of the comments about this place being nice and those particular posts are obviously not true or fake. This post is not a fake. I stayed at this hotel last year to catch the Red Snapper opening weekend with Dolphin Docks outriggers and noticed that the Captain’s Quarters Inn was just across the street. That is about all that is good about the Captain Quarters Inn. If you are just looking for a place to bed down for the night and have the convenience of being right across the street from Dolphin Docks, then this is place for you. As far as the hotel…The bad service started with making the reservation two months in advanced. They have no computer system to make reservations so get ready for a surprise when you check in. I booked a two night stay and the Manager, I believe it was Dennis, said that I could only stay one night. I don’t think so! After working out the reservation glitch, the best they could do was put me into a wheel chair room which actually worked out due to the room being more spacious. Other than that, the room was dirty, dingy, and looked as if the refrigerator and microwave had not been cleaned in months. Glad I brought my own stuff for this trip (hotplate/bbq pit/groceries/etc. ).

Our entire staff of Liberty Management, Inc stayed at the Captain's Quarters Inn, occupying 16 rooms, for the Memorial Day Weekend and we certainly enjoyed ourselves there. The location was convenient to both the beach and our fishing charter, as well as being easy walking distance to restaurants. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely eager to please, even providing the complimentary breakfast earlier than usual so we could eat before our 6:00 AM plans. The rooms were clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The pool was hidden away from view by extensive landscaping which created a welcomed escape. All in all, this was one of those rare experiences that left me feeling that I got more than I expected, and I"m looking forward to a return visit.

Bad news. The people who own Americas' Best Value Inn in Port Aransas (that "RAT TRAP") have now bought this Inn. I've stayed here in different rooms a few times. Roaches run the walls, they DO NOT care. BED BUGS are in at least 4 rooms, termites are eating the foundation. They NEVER take the outside garbage out. It stinks! The tub/showers are never clean, there are deposits from the bugs on the walls, the drawers are full of hair and food and candy left from many others, there is a strong odor in half the rooms that makes you sick. Dave only permits 6 plastic spoons of coffee to be put in 12 cup pot of coffee. Don't drink the coffee when he is working! It's singed water. Nasty. The "showers" for the fisherman are NEVER cleaned. Wear shoes in those showers, you may pick up a disease. Dave scowls at us, or is NEVER even there when we need something. All he cares about is $$$$ He is rude, disrespectful, has a nasty disposition and is a horrible manager and should be fired.
