To begin with the room was dirty, not only that but dirty towels, there was trash left in the room and showers. Pretty much seemed like it wasn’t cleaned properly. Than the next encounter we dealt with was about 4 hrs after check-in all our food got spoiled due to the refrigerator not working. Ruined our birthday cake as well as other food items.
Than the staff was really rude In regards to the pool.
Than the big kicker is our A/C went out and it nearly took them from around 3 am when it went out till 3pm the following day to fix the issue. (We waited around because we had valuables and you can never be to safe).
Our whole day was ruined due to staff not coming to address the issues mind you it got over 85 degrees inside our condo. We had to call 3 times to get someone over to fix it, because front desk said the guy who takes care of it was in the tractor. Which is completely unexceptional! We paid good money for not having immediate service to our issues. Finally they maintenance supervisor Names Jeremy who was actually nice & honest, but he did give a list of excuses as to why the A/C & Refrigerator had issues. He pretty much told us it happens often (which I have on video). If that’s the case why do the keep renting the condos if there not working properly.

Wonderful condo that slept 8. Pretty and efficient. Great view and awesome service. There was a heated pool and a nonheated pool as well as a hot tub, shuffleboard, and corn hole outside. Definitely will be returning.

We stayed in 342 (two bedroom 2 bath condo) and absolutely loved it. Wouldn’t change anything. Bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows and plenty of towels in both bathrooms. AC worked great, and very spacious! Someone (she was super sweet) came by to collect our dirty towels and gave us clean ones. View was amazing, patio chairs were awesome, and beach was easy to walk or drive golf cart too. I would like to add that the lighted sign at the beach is a plus at night… super easy to find our condo. Employees were all nice! Cant wait to come back!

Very good access to the beach, good Wi-Fi for kids online school.

I had my daughters birthday here since it was so close to the beach. The staff goes above and beyond they are amazing! They held our cake, fruit and pastry tray for the party while we were on the beach till our room was ready. The walk from beach to condo is so short. I loved that is right on the beach! The rooms were nice, nothing to fancy (which we didn’t need). The heated pool in the evening is wonderful after a Long Beach day.

Always love visiting Port Aransas and staying at Beachgate. Rooms are always great, staff is great and accommodating. One year I had to stay elsewhere because they were booked. After staying somewhere else I can totally understand why they were booked because staying somewhere else was a horrible experience.

Great friendly staff. Sean and his team continue to build wonderful memories for my family and friends. They have also become friends. We will continue to visit multiple times a year.

This is a very nice place to stay and the prices isn't that bad love this placemat 3rd time here.

We have stayed at beachgate now for about 15 years every time we go to the coast at least once if not twice a year. The staff is awesome. Anything we need they do their best to get it for us. The rooms are always nicely kept up with and they always have plenty of room for 5 of us. Great view of the gulf and you can drive over the sand dune through their private beach access to the beach. You don’t have to drive down the road to the next access road or it’s close enough you just walk over the dune to get to the beach. Thank you to Sean and the rest of the staff for being awesome.

Very affordable very large well equipped condo! If you needed something and it isn’t in your room They would get it to you! Great staff and a special shout out to Michelle! She helped us so much and very friendly, reminds me of my niece in law! Love her and beach gate so much! Will DEFINITELY be back next year!

People that work here r super friendly and really helpful will for sure return next time we come down.

You can walk to the beach. The rooms were very clean and pretty. Very relaxing time. We stay here everytime we come to Port Aransas.

Just got back from a long weekend at Beachgate to celebrate my 50th birthday. Room was spotlessly clean, smelled good, wonderful view of the ocean. Staff was SO polite and friendly. Bed was really comfortable! Only a couple of (minor) complaints. The shower head needs to be replaced, the pressure was pretty poor. Hard for someone with thick/long hair to feel like it was getting the soap out. Some repairs/renovation are ongoing on another of the buildings, so parking was a bit tricky sometimes, but overall it was a fantastic trip, and we will definitely return!

We came down to Port A with family friends and stayed with our families in 2 rooms. The place was clean, close walk to the beach, and reasonably priced. We will be back!

Considering the amount of work that had to be done this year, I would still give Sean and everyone at Beachgate 6 stars. We are very familiar with the rooms and the Hotel in general, as we have been on the Island every year since around 2004. At this point there are only 2 hotels that we prefer, and Beachgate is by no means our second choice. We loved our room this year and were glad to get in and contribute to the continuation of the remodel. We will always give Beachgate our top consideration in all the choices available on the Island.

I have been coming to beachgate for years but this was my first trip to the beach after giving birth to my son. Our room over looked the beach. It was very convenient. The manager was very accommodating. We will absolutely be back!

We had a blast. We stayed in bld 4 3rd floor. Room was clean and smelled like fabuloso. Pools were cleaned every morning along with the proper chemicals needed. We did have trouble with the cable but we called the office and the cable box was switched out quickly. House keeping comes knocking around 9:30 AM and is also great for a wake up call. A do not disturb sign on the door would be nice for a future stay. Staff was friendly and the Rusty (property manager) was very helpful.
Building 5 is still under construction due to Hurricane Harvey but overall work/workers didn’t affect our comfort/stay.

They called to tell us our room wasn't ready 6 days before our trip! We booked three rooms for 16 people months in advance. We were never told there was a possibility of our room (s) not being ready. On Tuesday they called to tell us that our 2 Bedroom Condo would not be ready by our Sunday check-in. I was told they had another 2 Bedroom Condo (in a different building) available but not for the entire stay. They didn’t have another room that size for the 15th through the 17th and the people in that unit would have to move into a smaller 1 Bedroom unit for those three days. They acted like they were doing me a favor by finding us another room. I asked them to have the manager call me (he didn’t). I frantically called around to find us another place to stay but no one I spoke to was able to accommodate 16 people on such short notice. I called the manager and he said he was 90 percent sure the room would be ready by the time we got there but they would be sure to call me Saturday and let me know either way (they didn’t). When we got there Sunday they told us the room was 80 percent ready and that we could go look at it and see if we wanted to stay there. We went and looked at the room but there was an overwhelming chemical smell. Since we had small children and babies with us we opted not to use that room. In addition, the 3 Bedroom Condo we reserved had two sleeper sofas instead of three, so we were short two more sleeping spaces.

Couldn't have been happier with our condo, office staff and the convenience. Have stayed here years ago as a young family and were excited to find a condo to book for our weekend! Great room with a beach view, friendly staff, convenience to the beach, couldn't ask for more! We will be coming back and Beachgate is our first choice!

We have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again we love the Pools and Hot Tubs.

Just completed a 2 night stay. The unit was lovely with a private balcony and view of the ocean. Absolutely beautiful and staff was terrific!

They've been working hard on the post hurricane remodel/ rebuild and have done a beautiful job! The condos look great! We're so happy to be here this weekend considering everything everyone here has been through. This is our 2nd stay at Beachgate. I've been coming here my whole life, stayed at many places, and this is the most convenient spot right on the beach. We can't wait to come back with our group later this year! (PS the whole island doesn't have cable, but who cares… you're at the beach! Enjoy the view, bring a book, but definitely don't yell at the front office folks about it. )

The Manager and staff tried to make our stay pleasurable but it just wasn't meant to be. The only view of the Gulf was from a shared balcony which we were told is almost never used. Every day, most of the day it stayed occupied. Lesson learned. Get a private balcony. Spectrum cable mostly, ruined our experience by switching to digital TV on our 48th wedding anniversary, and not considering that Port Aransas Texas is STILL in recovery mode from Hurricane Harvey. Spectrum blamed the hotel, the hotel blamed Spectrum. Both were at fault in my opinion. Mainly Spectrum though. Location was nice. AC worked well. Had to wait a day and a half for a workable microwave oven. One issue, no chair with a back. Just bar stools. This is not good for people who have bad backs. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable. One bed very hard one soft. No closet. No closet rod. This mostly shows my point from above, Port Aransas Texas is STILL in recovery mode! Our room was on the top floor, 3rd, and thank Heavens for a good working elevator! Many don't have one. Everything else was good. I'm not trying to bash this hotel, just wanted to share some information and maybe help improve other people's stay. I would consider staying here again for several reasons but I'll be more educated on options next time.

Great place, even better staff. Still recovering from Harvey so it's still a bit rough around the edges but you absolutely cannot hold that against them. Recovery is a long road and they are owning it. Plus, they're on the beach. You can't beat that.

Booked weekend. We were told brand new condo. It was new alright. Paint splattered everywhere. Dirty dishes & imcomplete construction. Manager completely rude. Refuses to believe our complaints even though we offered for them to examine the half jobs. Says he got plenty other people in line to rent it.

Employes were very nice and helpful ill be staying their again for sure next time.

Wonderful place to relax and forget the back!

We spent 4 days at The Beachgate for a beach wedding and it was a great trip. I really want to say Thank You to all the management and staff for everything they did to make my best friend’s dream wedding come true. You felt like they really cared even though they had just recently suffered such devastation with the hurricane. I pray that their community continues to heal and put things back together. Thank you Beachgate and Port A for the memories.

We stayed in room 438 on the hotel side. Our room was dirty and the bathroom had a horrible smell. The ceiling had big water stains on it. Tge tape and float was also coming off in spots. Not just a little it looked bad. The walls were dirty. There was a space on the wall where a picture must have hung at once. It still had the hooks in the wall, but no picture. The picture was actually broken and put behind the tv. The furniture was awful looking. It be thrown out and replaced. The microwave all rusty in the inside of it. There was two metal chairs that had rust and dust on them. The beds were extremely uncomfortable! One of the beds had looking sheets. We paid $171 per night! We really got ripped off! I took a bunch of pictures. The only thing I liked about it was that it was within walking distance to the beach and their pools were nice. I would not recommend this place not would I ever stay here again!

Great place, beds were rough but great everything else! If you have 4 people and staying more than a couple of days, get an apartment… not the hotel part… too small.

Some of the rooms don't have a kitchen which costs less. The bath water can get super hot. The air conditioning works really well. There's some stuff that needs to be worked on but otherwise it's very nice. I actually liked it.

Great location for the price, just a short walk to the beach. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back next summer!

The best part about this place is the location. Right ON the beach. However the rooms have needed to be upgraded for YEARS starting with the beds. We bring our own air mattress.

Great time except for one thing. There is a woman that either lives there or live and works there that comes out and yells at people that are currently staying at the condo. People pay a lot of money to enjoy there weekend and if she lives there then its probably not a good idea to LIVE AT A CONDO THAT RENTS ROOMS. I do not know the women's name but if I was renting multiple rooms and spending a lot money I would want her removed or fired for really bad customer service. If there is a chance that this women owns the place then you should not live in your own business. Everything else was great about the Beachgate rooms were nice and clean and the view was great. Thank you Beachgate.

Friendly staff, close to beach, great view. I stayed in 235. I was allowed to check in an hour hourly which was very nice. The room is great for one person or 2. Mattress is very comfy memory foam style. Room was very clean and the view amazing. You can sit on the bed and see and hear the waves. Even better from the balcony. The winter rates here cannot be beat for the level of quality, closeness to beach. 2 pools, heated, 2 hot tubs, all very nice.

Been to Port Aransas multiple times. Beachgate is our place to stay. They take care of you like family. Always updating and maintaining their rooms. Never ever come to a dirty room. Plus a killer view! Can't find this kind of quality of service else where. We will continue to stay here for our trips, till we can buy a place down here… If anyone is reading reviews for hotels/condos in Port Aransas, stop and book a room at Beachgate you will not regret it!

We stayed in 413. The only reason to stay in one of their one-room suites is because of the proximity to the beach. They let us check in early because the room was ready, which was nice. The beach was a short walk and the hotel even has a little shower outside the gate where you can wash the sand off before heading into your room. But our unit was somewhat run-down, with chips out of the toilet and stains in the corners. The beds are exceptionally uncomfortable. The walls and ceiling are paper-thin and people were constantly moving furniture around above us. Our A/C made a sound like a metal rake on concrete. When we arrived, our towels and sheets were dirty, which they changed out with no problem.

The view was great for one. The beds were soft and the place was very clean. Within walking distance of the beach. Great place.

Perfect view of the beach. Every one was friendly. Room was big felt like I was at home. Didnt have to take much just gerocerys. Looking forward to my next vacation there.

Spent a few days here. Staff is awesome and the rooms are very nice with lots of space! The view is also nice and a short walk to the beach with two pools available as well.

I stayed in Beachgate condo It was a large hotel room with two queen size beds. The room was clean and very cute. The beach decorations made it it bright and fun. The location is right on the beach and there is a restaurant next door that has breakfast, lunch and dinner (and a bar. ) It looks like they just freshened up the complex. For me the location was everything. I was able to walk with my stuff straight to the beach in 5 minutes. The complex is older, but the pools and location make up for it. I will definitely go again.

Great customer service and I made a same day reservation and I was very impressed with the price and location. Located right on beach and short walk to sandfest! Completely satisfied and will definitely go back again!

Great condos with location second to none. We stayed on the third floor with a beach view. We're having such a good time I kind of don't want to leave a review because I'm afraid someone will book the place next time I want to come back!

They have a great place to go on the beach and it is easy and fast.

Stayed here 2-26-16 for one night. Winter room rates were $115. Pet friendly. Only $15 for my dog to stay the night. Rooms were clean. And nice. Two bed queen. Fridge and TV were good enough!

My husband just called to cancel or discuss a reschedule of our trip. He first asked if it was possible to still get a refund but when that was not an option he began to ask about just postponing a day due to family emergency. Steph, who claims to be the manager hung up on him mid sentence. Assuming that no hospitality employee would do her the benefit of the doubt and asked if she just hung up the phone on my husband. She never said yes but did say, "Well the other phone was ringing. I could not help him and I am the only one here. " I asked to speak to a manger and she then told me she was the manager. I asked if Sean was available but she said no and asked what she could help me with. I told her I would like to email Sean. This is when she became irate and said, "You go right ahead and email Sean. " I asked if I could have his email address. Her reply was, "Since YOU know Sean, YOU should have it. " I tried to explain that I did not but she was busy complaining about being the only one there today. I asked her to stop yelling. But of course she said she was not yelling, so I asked her to lower her voice. She said she did not have time for this and you guessed it hung up.

Stayed there last summer and was very pleased and I'll be returning this summer for sure. Might be a little pricy but all worth it.

BeachGate is a GREAT Place to stay! We have stayed as a family and with friends 3 times and everytime it is wonderful. Only steps from the beach and Sean the Property Manager is excellent! I highly recommend anyone to stay there!

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay here. Our unit was really clean, everything worked like it should AND I checked in really late around midnight but the office staff didnt seemed bothered by it. The best part in my opinion was the direct beach access. I will be coming back next year.
