Owners are very nice just didnt like the loud guest down stairs (not in their control) and the breakfast was over at 9… like what?

Clean rooms, and good customer service. Their was no free breakfast options. Very close to good shopping areas, and food places.

No no no. Please hear this warning. Do not stay here. I arrived with my family to find a run down, dirty, moldy, bug infested motel. With homeless sleeping outside. I will not put my family at risk staying in a place like this. I suggest you don’t either!

Zero stars… not only did I have to run around in the shower to get wet the water came out slower than a high school water fountain, the towels stunk, and just as one of the ladies beneath me in one of these reviews noted that when getting breakfast in the morning I was stared at like I stole something and then was told I cannot leave the breakfast area with any food in my hand? I'm trying to refrain from any choice where's right now but if that's how they do it where they are from then that's fine but we don't do it here in America. I hope they don't censor out my review because of that statement. On top of that when leaving in the morning on time of course I had my service dog with me and the gentleman had a few Choice words that I couldn't really make out and of course you wouldn't speak in English and right behind him was his wife who gave me a look that I will never forget. Again I'm trying to refrain from any choice words right now but anyways if you are reading this this is enough to tell you did not go there. I just might stand out there with a big ticket sign saying the exact same thing I just stated in this review.

The woman at the front desk Mrs. Patel is horrible. When checking in she yelled at me and told me she was going to watch me on the cameras. I stay in hotels frequently. This place is below average, and takes the cake for worst staff! Need an exterminator. Won't be back.

All around the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Room looked like it wasn't cleaned upon checking in. Roaches every where! Every staff member I saw weren't welcoming or helpful just rude. My interaction with the manager Ms. Patel was definitely the worst. She is better fit to be a prison guard or janitor. She has no business in customer service. Never returning to this location. Stay here if you enjoy mean and unprofessional staff and bugs!

The staff is friendly. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The lobby was clean and fresh smelling too. I really appreciate that. This a very nice place to spend the night. It is the best motel at this price point I have ever stayed at.

Quite clean place BUT… I had to move to 3 different rooms because either the heater wouldnt work or the fridge wouldnt work. Or my key wouldnt work. Eventually I got in and got settled an hour and half after I checked in because of all moving. Then he would only give me a 10.00 discount off the next time I stayed there.

This place needs to be shut down. Horribly outdated and smells like mold, dirty carpet and bedding. They do not reinvest in their business at all. Do not waste your money or time staying here.

I came over here because we didn't have elec. At our house and at 8:30 the elec. Goes out here and the man up at the office don't know anything and doesn't have a clue when it will be on. That's very nice to know.

The motel is in definite need of fixing up. Our room smelled moldy, but that seemed to clear when we ran the AC. However, the customer service is deplorable! We personally observed the night staff turn away people wanting to get a room after their house had just flooded during Hurricane Harvey (Saturday night when this whole area was flooding), and the clerk would NOT rent them a room, even though there were several available, because it was after 11 pm! Seriously! The streets were flooded, they barely made it in, and this guy turned them away! Plus our 1st floor room was leaking from multiple places, and he wouldn't even check the room above ours "because it was raining. " Seriously?! He finally offered us to change rooms. Tried three other rooms — both upstairs and down stairs — all were leaking in multiple places! He never left the lobby! Sent my husband running around in the rain to check the rooms! Plus, our carpet was flooded (even though the walkway outside was not). Never stay here!

Breakfast was amazing, rooms were ok for a 3 star hotel. Shower and bathroom could be improved. Lady at front desk was kind of not helpful but when we talked to the manager she got better and helped us. The manager was nice and helped us a lot. I would recommend this place if you're stopping for a little while in the area.

Pretty average hotel. Looks a little run down on the outside, but the rooms are pretty nice. Overall, no problems. I'll stay here again next time I come to the area. If you want to spend a weekend in Galveston, but don't want to pay the island prices, stay here.

Well I set up a hotel for my mom and my aunt and I was wanting to pay for it but they told me I couldn't over the phone which pissede me off bc they didn't hve the money and at the time when they would come in I was hving to be somewhere so I had to change my plans a different go to the hotel and pay for it well the machine was down but thankfully they let them hve the room anyways and they were hving renovation. At the hotel tht was not aware of which was like Uh wat … it wasn't tht bad but def my experience could ve been better.

Comfortable beds and good cable.

Only a couple mins away from galveston, tranquil and staff are helpful. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi/cable. Nothing luxurious but it's alright for maybe a weekend.

My kids and I came to visit my husband for 4 days while he worked. The owner lady griped at me for trying to throw my own trash out and then when I went to get towels she told me loudly to make take the don't disturb sign off my door in the mornings. My kids were sleeping til 9:30 and then asked when we were leaving our last night there. I kept our room very clean and even took our own trash out in the evenings. I was very polite and she was very disrespectful in front of my kids and I. I will not go back. There was no need to be rude in anyway.

My husband and I go to Galveston all the time and this has to be one of our favorite places to stay off the island. The staff is amazing and the rooms are always clean. It's only 12 miles from Galveston and always has a reasonably priced rate. This weekend was the Lonestar rally and paying less than $100 night is unheard of anywhere close to the island. Also, the owner is incredibly sweet. After we checked out Sunday morning, he let us leave our truck and trailer there while we rode our motorcycle to Galveston to enjoy the last day at the rally. Most hotels we have been to make you leave the property upon check out. This place definetely gives you the best bang for your buck. We will be back soon!

Bugs, bugs, bugs! Walked in and saw 4 German roaches behind door, one ran across our bed, baby ones on headboard by pillows, one peeping out of broken piece off alarm, one under coffee machine, one under light switch, other on walls… and I always check beds for bed bugs and found that they did in fact have them. They switched our room to next door and didn't find roaches but found a big bed bug and blood spots under the layers of sheets on bottom bed board. I could cont, but currently looking for other accommodations. BTW, they claimed they dont have any bugs, should have showed them the bottom of my shoes, yuck!

Great price. Way more affordable than others in the area. Customer service was good, rooms were clean, free breakfast was nice. Safe area, fairly quiet. Nothing super special about the rooms, but great for the price you pay.

The lady at the front counter lacked in customer service skills, our room smelled weird and I dont think the room was even cleaned that well. Worst of all they gave someone else a key to our room, which deactivated ours. The person at the front desk tried to deny that it happen, but one of the people that was given our room key was there and confirmed that it did. Totally wouldn't stay here again.

Called 2 times asking for rates. Was hung up on during the call. I asked about the rates and both persons answering did not understand my questions. Heard someone in the background speaking english but they would not come to the phone.

Very nice people clean rooms excellent service. One bad thing the mother in law does a lot of yelling at the workers and she is crossed eyed so you don't know if she is yelling at you or the workers.

By far the worst super 8 I've stayed at! And I travel all over the U. S. For work. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone for multiple reasons. They turn the a/c off everyday so you come back to a hot room, had no hot water on top of that. Looks like they haven't vacuumed the room, the customer service is horrible.

Worst experience ever! Got to the room and door was busted! It woun't lock and the management asked me to leave our valuables there and told us they would have it foxed when we returned. We refused leave our things with out being able to lock them and they made us wait an hour for the door to be fixed, when it was still not fixed we demanded another room and was treated very rudely but did get moved to the room next door. When over there, the refrigerator was broke so we had to keep what we had bought in a cooler filled with ice. When we attempted to call the front desk to notify them of this we discovered the phone was broken as well. Then the worst part ever, when I went in to the restroom to take a shower, I noticed tissue with a strange brown substance on it stuffed in the vent. I went down stairs and made them come to the room to see and then told them we would be checking out at that time and they told us we would still be charged for the entire time of the reservation even if we did check out! My families vacation was ruined by this hotel! I will never stay at a Super 8 again! And will warn every one I know! BTW. I did call the corporate office and they did nothing either.

We got this hotel for a great price, and it was well located for our trip to Galveston without being too far from Houston. Once we got settled in, we enjoyed our stay, but we had some issues at the start. The first room they put us in was a smoking room, though we'd booked a non-smoking room through Priceline. The guy at the front desk tried to accuse my husband of making the mistake at booking, when our confirmation clearly said non-smoking. They gave us keys for a second room, but the reader on the door didn't work, and they ended up moving us to yet another room. All in all not a bad stay for under $50, but don't set your expectations too high. Tip: Check out the boardwalk in the town of Kemah, just 20 minutes from this hotel. What a great night out, and a pleasant surprise for us.
