I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years since my husband was stationed at Goodfellow AFB. I have recommended this hotel to serval other military families as well. So I was shocked when 15 days ago my husband and I woke up to bugs crawling all over us in room 208. We killed between 10-15 and took some pictures of them as well. We left the hotel around 2:20 am with our three young children in tow to drive the 4.5 hours back to our new house. I spoke with 3 different employees trying to leave messages for your manager Julie, all of whom were so kind and professional. But after 4 days of not hearing back I contacted Marriott customer service. I spoke with them 3 times regarding my case. I was shocked to find out that Julie told them she spoke with me and refunded $50 and 15k in points, because none of that is true. So she either lied or got me confused with another guest who fled your hotel because of bugs. All I want is a refund of $229.00 for the one night we fled the hotel at 2 am. I don’t not even want a refund for my whole stay. But Julie refused to give a refund for the one night, and reused to speak to me. I have filed a complaint with customer service and look forward to speaking with corporate. I am genuinely appalled at the hotel manager’s lack of customer service and leadership skills. The rest of the staff is wonderful and tried to help me, but only Julie can provide a refund. I guess I’ll stick with Airbnb’s from now on.
Lupe at the Front Desk is awesome! They definitely need to pay her more for all she does!
