I've stayed at this location a couple times now and I've had good experiences. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. I will for sure be staying here every time I'm in Harlingen.

Room was nice but the location (Room 116) was awful. People slamming doors throughout the night, loud talking and elevator sounds kept us awake until 2am. This was our first time at this hotel, not sure if we will give it another try in the future.

Wonderful, clean room at an excellent price! The best part was the staff — they really exceeded my expectations. The only drawback is that if you don't like big dogs — they do not have a weight limit on them here, and they let them in the pool. This didn't sway my review, but it was worth mentioning.

Looks like I lucked out, room I was assigned to seems to have been cleaned halfway, couple of missing things in the room. Alarm clock and bathtub plug being the most pertinent ones. TV's are great though.

It's clean and comfortable. As expected.

Nice experience anytime we visit a candlewood. A++

I love this hotel! The beds here are awesome and very comfortable. I like the fact that you can wash clothes here for free. This comes in great for road trips. Overall just a great place to stay.

Abou 1 1/2 to 2" Cockroach in a room on fourth floor October 2017. Except for that, clean rooms and nice staff. Staff offered to come get it out of room. I said don't bother (I figured where there is one there are more — — but it looked like a brand new hotel). When I asked 800 # staff if this was normal for hotels in Harlingen, they said "they fly in" and gave me 10, 000 points. How could a cockroach fly in to the fourth floor? I suppose I should have asked for a discount or a refund but I was tired and only there 1 more night.

Initial the place seems really nice. The personnel working there are fantastic but there is this wicked awful scent in the hallways and I mean it is bad but the room was nice and clean and very spacious. The only complaint is the smell in the hallways.

We used to stay at other chains but now we are candlewood members. They have clean, very updated properties (the ones we have stayed in), comfy beds, friendly staff & really make you feel like they care. One of the best parts is we can always bring our dog as they are pet friendly! Specifically this one, I can say ONLY great things about. Cynthia was VERY friendly and accommodating during our check in & stay.

The room was huge, full size fridge, and a mini stove. The first room was not ready for a new guest. The man at the desk brought us a key to a new room and kept apologizing for that happening. Its a great hotel and will be staying with them again.

My daughter and son stayed at the suites for 1 week and they loved it. I would stop by to visit and pick them up to go out around town and to corpus Christi and the customer service was amazing. Never did I see an angry face. The housekeeping staff very helpful and attentive. They will definitely be staying here every time they come visit.

The rooms are amazing for the price. Kitchenette is fully stocked. Only problem we had was with obnoxious neighbors above us. Unfortunately there was no management on site to remedy the situation buy we were able to move to a new room albeit at 2 AM.

They had a glitch in their system and lost our reservations.

Room was comfortable, clean, roomy, and Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Will stay again if in area for work.

I travel for work and stay in hotels/motels 280 days a year or so and this is one of THE BEST hotels I've stayed at. Super clean, the front desk dude is cool as a fan and they have a pool. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Love that they have a friendly staff, and the rooms are big. They even have dvds and video games you can borrow if you want to.

The hotel staff is nice. The building appears to be brand new construction and looks very clean, but somehow it still has an insect problem. I returned to my room one evening to find a giant cockroach lazily wandering around my room's door and door handle. It was unafraid when I tried to scare it off and smash it (missed). At 4 am that evening, I felt a tickle on my face, neck, chest, and side. The sensation slowly pulled me from sleep. Yep, the roach was back and crawling all over me. I literally jumped out of bed and finally managed to smash it. So much for dozing until 6. Sleep is gone and so am I. Goodbye forever Candlewood.

Nice modern rooms. Good value.

Was told by a coworker that rooms are only cleaned between guests unless requested. Was only staying 1 night so did not think it would be a problem. Everything looked clean, but when I took my shoes off I noticed I was stepping on a lot of things not vacuumed up. Hallway looked pretty dirty also. Need to pay more attention to the vacuuming.
