The hotel is a nice place and very well maintained. The owners of this hotel on the other are a different story. We have been at this hotel for a week and paid $100 for our dog to stay. This hotel has cameras at every corner and also on the inside and they decided today that our dog couldn’t be here because he was over the 25lb weight limit they have for dogs. The lady working the front desk that night said it would be fine and she would talk to the owners when they got back. Not only did she not do that but someone in that hotel charged my debit card almost $8, 000 and couldn’t telk me why. Let me remind everyone one reading this that I’m eight and a half hours away from home and now my debit card is shut off and not only that but I do have pictures where dogs over 25lbs have been let in that hotel to stay.

Highly recommend if staying in the Mexia, Texas area. Staff are very nice and helpful.

The rooms are standard with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Room was clean and great night's rest.

This was a GREAT hotel. I travel a lot for work and this room was set up perfect. Super clean with a friendly staff.

I usually dont write review. I was staying at comfort Inn two months ago but they are full today. I found out the same owner has this best western just 2 miles away. So I decided to give it a try… clean super clean just his comfort inn. Everything is so clean here. Will definitely come back next time. Btw, Wi-Fi is super fast! No problem running my VPN back to office and get my work done quickly. This place is much cleaner and better than the other Best Western "Plus" in Dallas I stayed last night.

Value for what You pay is great. The bed was comfortable (medium firm), breakfast was good, room was clean*, and the staff are friendly. They have been improving the overall look of the hotel and were very concerned with making our stay the best it could be. 5 stars with caution: parking lot during high volume times (conventions and marathons) will overfill into their gravel truck lot. The truck lot was well lit and they have cameras out there but I would recommend parking earlier in evening to beat the rush. *We were there during a high turnover time (NRA conference and Magnolia marathon) so the room was not able to be deep cleaned after last customer smoked in the non-smoking room. Please remember that ALL rooms in the hotel are non smoking. Staff did not try to make an excuse for this they tried to make sure that it was remedied.

Very clean! Breakfast is great and free. Friendly staff (especially the man in the breakfast room). The 3 beds room was absolutely perfect for our family! Will definitely be back!

Friendly staff… clean and quite will be our permanent check in place when we comein town… the gentleman works in the breakfast room is hard worker and made sure to welcome every single person comes in there. They need more people like him in other facility… I've stay in multiple location different states but nothing like him. He needs to be commended! It represents your company's name and integrity! The Clarks!

The reason for 3 stars is it's advertised on the website smoking rooms are available and they are non smoking only. The breakfast had signs for biscuits and gravy, when asked when it would come out we were told not enough guest that night to make them. Besides those 2 things everything else was great. Awesome water pressure in the shower was a big plus.

Always treated right with clean rooms, a nice bed, good amenities and friendly service at the right price.

Everything was really clean. Breakfast was good and everything tasted fresh. I had some trouble in the evening with the guy at the counter since he didn't really speak English. Other than that, it was a really good stay.

100f degrees outside and the A/C was turned off in the room when we arrived. Room was very hot. Took more than an hour to cool down.

Went to a gathering at the pool and patio area and they had two grilles and plenty of space. It was a lot of fun.

Best spot in Mexia. Well lit parking lot. Room was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Free breakfast from 6-9am was good…

My overall stay was good. Very clean and newly updated. Breakfast was good. The only thing was it was very warm in the building. Probably close to 80°.

My overall experience with the Best Western in Mexia was good. The hotel was clean and smelled fresh. The room was clean and orderly and the breakfast offered was decent. My only problem was the bed. They were a bit on the hard side for me. Hard for me to get comfortable or get a good sleep. Besides that issue everything else was good.

The rooms were huge and clean. The bed was comfortable but desperately in need of new bedding. The inside of the rooms could use updates. We were shocked at the size of the rooms as we had two king beds with plenty of room to spare. The drawback to this hotel was the awful smell in the public areas of the hotel. It seemed as if it needed to be ventilated with some fragrance or air freshener in all of the halls. Once in our room the smell was fine. The other thing was the elevator made a very loud bang with a jerk when it started when we first arrived. Needless to say we used the stairs for the remainder of our stay. It is only a two story hotel so it was not too bad of a climb. Also the bathroom size compared to the size of room was a big difference. These rooms could easily be remodeled to take in some of the bedroom space to make the bathroom bigger.

Great place and very accommodating. I have a service dog and had no trouble. Very clean as well.

I must say this is a very nice place to stay. Peas full friendly and great hospitality. The reason I am rating it a 3 is because the bed is very hard. I can not even get a goods night rest because of it. My back has been hurting me the last two days I am here on a business matter I have three days to go. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed…

Rooms were very nice and the AC stayed so cold workers very sweet.

This is the best place to stay while in Mexia Texas. I made the mistake of trying to save a couple of bucks and book a room at another hotel in town. After a nightmare experience I demanded my money back and ran back to the Best Western. I won't make that mistake again. In the last few weeks they upgraded to HD from DIRECTV in each room. It might be the best TV experience in a hotel room I have ever had in my life. Huge HD TV!

Great facility! Comfy beds, love the morning breakfast! Would definitely recommend.

By far the best Best Western I have ever stayed in. Very clean and accommodating staff.

I have been using this motel to house guests for the past two years. Mr. Patel has been very friendly and does everything he can to make our guest comfortable and accomodate us as well as our guests. The rooms and motel are nice. They serve a breakfast that is better than most motels and have ample seating in the breakfast room. One of the things we find handy is the triple queen room as well as a double king room. The double king room is huge. An elevator is a plus as it gives access to upper rooms without having to climb stairs. I highly recommend this motel to anyone needing a stay in Mexia. Did I mention that the rates are VERY reasonable? They are!
