The evening clerk is telling guests who are checking in that "personally she doesn't care" if they wear their face masks, despite the signs on the doors stating guests are required to wear face masks in public areas such as the lobby. So the two guests pull their masks down around their necks and chat with the clerk about how dumb and pointless they think the mask requirement is. It's not the clerk's place to encourage guests to violate company policy, no matter what her personal opinion is. You don't know who may be nearby and at risk of getting sick. I would give just one star, but the daytime clerks were fine (or the issue didn't come up) and the room is decent, seems clean and the appliances are in working order.

We had a quiet room which was right outside the pool. The staff are friendly and it was inexpensive considering I had to stay for 3 weeks.

This place was Great… Good people that take care of you.

The hotel was older than pictured in the online photos, but was nice and clean. The rooms with two bed's are not large but we went there to get a good night's rest and definitely did. The pillow top mattresses were very comfortable. The bathtub is hard to get into because of the high side that you have to step over. All in all the price was very reasonable and we had a good stay.

Friendly staff from top down. First name basis atmosphere. Very comfortable. Pet friendly. Classy yet affordable.

Overall pleasant experience. Room was clean and very cozy. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and even provided us with bottles of water and extra pillows without any grief. Would definitely come back.

Upon first entering the room we noticed a funky smell and stained/worn carpets. The smell never did go away. There was black. Dirt? Around the edge of the bathroom walls. The plus side… the hotel staff were all friendly, the bed/linens were clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool was also clean.

The staff was very friendly the rooms however were not the cleanest and the showers sinks and toilets had drain problems. We changed rooms once and the room we changed to had an extremely bad odor also the light at the table and the light by the TV did not work. We did not want to change rooms again since we were tired from the road … like I said the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. I would give it more stars if the motel was cleaner and the plumbing was up to date … again the staff was extremely nice.

The exterior looks a bit rough however my room was very clean and comfortable. Location is great. Popeye's & Denny's are next door. McDonald's is right across the street. No elevator is available. An icemaker was located on 2nd floor near stairs. The location is on a slope so proceed slowly when driving in the parking lot.

The air works great. The room smelled of smoke and it was a non smoking room. The beds are clean.

Located right off 190 and 195, its very accessible. Lots of parking in the back, enough for semis. Rooms are always clean and comfortable with lots of hot water for those who like extended showers. Rates are among the lowest I've ever paid at La Quinta, under 70 dollars with tax as of my last visit. This is my go to for staying in the Killeen / Ft. Hood area.

Was not happy with this La Quinta at all! The first room we went in to smell the pets so bad we could not stay in it. The next room they moved us into the bed squeak but we dealt with it. Then the bathtub hurt both of us so bad because it was elevated. Who elevates their bathtub? We are both disabled and that just hurt like crazy. I didn't fall out of it as bad as my partner. He actually fell out and hit the wall and got hurt for a few days!

Relatively clean. Everything in our room was I. Working order. The bathroom is a very small. Although, they do manage to fit a bathtub in it. Things seemed like they are kept clean by house keeping. The dingy condition of the vanity and bathroom mostly have to do with their age and the hasty caulking repairs they've been made over the years. A dual gang outlet or two would be a nice addition whenever they update the rooms. Trying to find a place to charge phones/tablets/watches/notebooks for multiple guests was a little challenging. Overall, not a bad place for the money and they even had a pool that was kept clean. I would stay there again, if they kept the price low.

It is in a very centric location. There is a Denny's and a Popeyes on either side of the Inn which is very convenient. But, the room I stayed in smelled like a wet towl and the humidity in the room was quite suffocating. Breakfast is included and there is a varied selection (waffles included. ) It would have been four stars if it weren't for the smell.

The price is low, it's in a convenient location, and the bed is comfortable. What I don't like is there was a small roach in my room on the night stand and the TV didn't work. It wouldn't turn on or off. It was on when we came into the room and to turn it off we had to unplug it from the wall. Another con is we were near the entrance and omg is it LOUD! EVERY time they open the door to go in we could hear it, people would stand by the door to talk and we could hear their conversation. Then to top it all off, maintenance started power washing the grounds. I have a 9 month old who got scared and started crying which scared the dog and she started crying too. It's impossible to take a nap during the day after long day of traveling due to the noise. It's just constant door slamming, cars driving by, people chattering and yelling into the parking lot. Don't get a room near the entrance. It makes for an absolute miserable stay.

I stayed here because the weather was unpredictable and my parents came up from South Texas to assist me and my wife sitting a doctor's appointment. The room wad clean and spacious. My parents' room was larger and conducive to socializing and card playing. The cleaning staff was great, attentive and responsive. Breakfast was simple but warm and tasty. Handicap parking was readily accessible.

This La Quinta is great! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Price was very good for a pet friendly hotel. It is an older hotel but keeping up pretty good. I have been here numerous times.

Front desk staff was friendly. Breastfast was fresh. The tub was filled with water when I checked in. The water took a long time to get warm enough for a shower. The rest of the room was clean. Beds were comfortable. They allowed for an early check-in at no extra cost.

As and Elite return member I was disappointed in this visit. The facilities were not up to the standards that I've become used to with La Quinta. The plumbing, especially, needs some work. On the other hand, the staff was wonderful. This was the hotel's redeeming quality.

This has been by far the Absolute Worst hotel experience so far. So I was informed by front desk in order for the Hot Water to work you must turn on the sink and tub at the same time. I Never heard of this in my ENTIRE LIFE. We traveled 22 hours driving to get to Texas just to get a hotel with No running water… She tried to switch me to another room and same problem. Then the response is I people are taking showers at the same time. Refrigerator does not work. Towels are dirty and has stains on ALL OF THEM. I will NEVER stay here EVER AGAIN.

Front desk staff were very friendly and eager to help in any way they could. Carry air freshener as the rooms are musty/ smelly. Beds are small so all for single king size bed if you plan to share bed.

Very spacious, well attended and clean meeting rooms with restrooms located nearby. A great place.

Front desk staff were nice. I found the bed to be pretty comfortable. Housekeeping never came back after asking around 10 am to come later. Sink and toilet have drainage issues, and maintenance request seems to have not been resolved.

Good location, rooms were clean and cleaned every day when we got back to our rooms. Hot water and comfortable beds, very nice experience for not too much.

We chose this hotel since it was so close to Fort Hood. When we first checked in we got our room cards. The woman was very polite to us and to our dog. (This is a dog friendly hotel) The room was nice and neat. The first thing I did was check for bed bugs and couldn't find any sign of them! The bathrooms are small and One morning my gf went to take a shower and the water was cold. They have a pretty good free breakfast in the morning but it's the same everyday. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but it worked. Room service wouldn't bring us more towels. The whole time I was there I did see one roach and it was on the last day I was there. There are rooms connected by a door but it locks on both sides which made us feel unsafe. This would be a nice hotel if they fixed some problems/updated, sprayed for roaches, and had more breakfast options.

Staying in La Quinta Inn Killeen right now and my room feels awful. The bathroom has this horrible smell to it as if it has a roach infestation. I have seen at least 2 flies in my room, killed one of them and trying to get rid of the other one. Can't believe why some businesses fail to satisfy their customers. See! finding a customer should equivalate to retaining that customer because of competition. I guess that is not the case with La Quinta Inn in Fort Hood. Concerned Customer.

⛤⛤ for the gentleman at front desk because he was great and helpful. But the hotel itself? None. A/C went down on 1st room so we had to move to another room which was a little better. Rooms had odor and the entry door were nasty with mold like stuff on it. There was hair on the bathroom floor.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND… this hotel seriously needs an upgrade. We reserved this hotel even after we read the comments online… this was a mistake! When we first checked in they put us in a room that had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. We went to the front desk and they were able to change the room with no issues. When got to the second room it had a bad mildew like smell. The other issue we had was that they were going to book me for a few days, kick me out for one night, and then book me for the remaining days. They said they were booked up due to the graduations (not faulting them for it, just wanted to mention it) We were able to get a reservation on post that would cover the entire stay without any breaks in between. We went back to this hotel to sign out and when my wife went to the bathroom she discovered that someone had used the toilet and had not flushed it (could be the nasty smell we encountered). I went to the front desk and while the staff was very professional and understanding, they still charged me full price for the room that we did not sleep in. I told the manager that I could meet them half way because it was a late cancelation; however, did not feel that we should pay full price. They only took 15.00 off and still charged 65.00. The rooms were unsanitary and not worth the money they are charging. If it were up to me, I would put them on the black list until they made the appropriate changes.

I've booked la quinta in several cities. The one in Killeen is the worst place I've ever stayed. I could not wait for my trip to be over. I was there for the weekend trying to see my daughter off before being deployed. The carpet was so filthy that you cannot walk without shoes. The place smelled and we bought lysol just to lift the smell a bit. My mom almost fell out the tub it looks like its jacked up on blocks. This place needs to shut down for a deep clean. Money spent to be UN-comfortable.

My daughter and I, with our two dogs stayed at the La Quinta last night, and it was very enjoyable. The room which was a double room was more like a suite. Talk about roomy. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you to the staff for the last minute reservation, and I do mean last minute. Our reservation was made 15 minutes before we showed up. The staff is very professional. I do recommend this hotel to others.

Well, after the Crack head locked himself between rooms or if his abused girlfriend locked him between rooms (hear the in fighting). I had to let him out through my side. Short of disturbing my peace I checked out 5 hours later. But hey, rooms were remodeled, clean, and the staff were friendly.

Staff was friendly and room was clean except the liner bag for ice bucket had been used previosly (you could tell it had been openned and refolded as well as water marks on inside). Would love to see hotel work with killeen police dept to ckean up drug traffic in parking lot we witnessed multiple deals as early as 3pm.

Room was mostly clean. Some kind of sticky liquid on refrigerator handle and shower wouldn't drain. Somewhat outdated. Staff was friendly for the most part. Cops were there twice the first night and was woken up the second night by a fight outside my door and a howling dog in the room next to me. Wouldn't stay there again.

The rooms were clean and the service was good. The only problem was that the water heater was not much.

The room was nice and the location was conveniently placed at the intersection of two major roads.

Very nice staff and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds… Free breakfast and mini fridge and microwave in the room. Nice price too. I'll return if I'm ever in town and need a room.

The nice staff is the only positive part of this hotel. The hotel is run down and the rooms are dingy/ smelly/ not maintained well by the cleaning staff. The lobby is the only clean place in the hotel. I normally like staying in La Quinta hotels, but I will not be staying in this one again.

My stay was supposed to be on 3/14/15, but that quickly changed. As soon as you walk in you can tell it is old and run down. I got the key and walked into the room and walked right back out. The room reeked like dog pee. It was disgusting. They told me the hotel is pet friendly (and don't get me wrong, I am an animal person who has a dog and 3 cats at home) but it was like I walked into a room that a dog peed on every inch of the room that was never cleaned. I don't know how they can let anyone try and stay in that room. And on top of it I am 5 months pregnant, so how could they let someone go in there like that?!? The girls at the front desk didn't even argue with me about it and cancelled my reservation right away since they probably knew about it and one of them was even giving me recommendations of a nicer place around for us to go. I would not recommend anyone to stay here, ever! We ended up across the street at the Residence Inn Marriott and it was beautiful.

Worst stay ever at this hotel I had to sleep in the chair because they didnt have a sofa bed, or a hideaway bed I didnt get any sleep I woke up with the worst crook in my back dont ever go to laquinta inns killeen with your family just go alone.

Okay stay. Room was clean. Outside looks kinda crummy and run down. Front desk person was kinda grumpy and did not know how to direct me to my room. Overall, good motel.

They have ROACHES! The lobby and the room was extremely musty. Facilities run down. I initially felt really uncomfortable about the room and slept in one spot with my clothes on. I woke up at 530 AM to a roach crawling on the wall. I immediately shook my things out and checked out. To add insult to injury, while packing I found another roach on my shoe. I stayed at another La Quinta in Waco that was very nice, choose your locations wisely. I'm now staying in Holiday Inn with a peace of mind.

Great rates 15 minutes from Ft Hood also centrally located to restaurants and entertainment.

Reasonably priced. Very nice hotel. Comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Best of all they except pets, well behaved pets, for no extra charge. We will definitely stay here again.

I was traveling from Illinois when I came to Killeen, and out of all the hotels in Killeen, this was the only one that allowed pets. The room they gave us wasn't very appealing to the eye at first, but they did clean it well. After being in a car with two dogs for 20+ hours I couldn't complain.
