Love this place. Great customer service but recommend eating somewhere else. Restaurant was not up to par.

As far as historical hotels go. This has been the best one I have ever stayed at. Excellent hospitality and delicious food at their resturant downstairs. I had booked a beautiful corner room looking over the park at first. Due to availability they gave me a complimentary upgrade to their luxury suite! I got to stay their for two nights while visiting this little town.

This place would have received 5 Stars from me, with no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main reason for the low review was the showers. The shower head would not get you wet. The shower had "OK" pressure, however, the actual shower head would not get you wet enough to rinse off the soap in your hair. Therefore, it took a VERY LONG TIME to rinse the soap out of my hair I ask the lady at the front desk about the shower head problem. She informed me that the hotel is aware of this problem, yet they have acted on this. I suggest that the owners of Park Place take a shower in their bathrooms to experience the lack of water that is need to take a refreshing shower that we look forward to first thing in the morning. I will continue giving my business to Park Place Hotel.

We booked this place last minute, we wanted to stay in San Antonio but also visit New Braunfels so this place was 30 minutes in between both cities. Nice experience, stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms were a little too small but it had pretty much all we needed. We avoided the continental breakfast it was a little weird. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel right on the Square in downtown Seguin. Breakfast was skimpy, restaurant is closed on Monday. Toilet in the room was really weird. Bed was on the small size. Staff was nice and attentive. Room was very nice with some eccentric furniture.

Rooms are waaayyyyy tooo small. Desk doesn’t even work over the bed cause the rooms so small. Restaurant and bar closed on Monday. Found out after booking. Breakfast was nothing but bread. Elevator certificate expired months ago. And was sketchy. Tv didn’t work but got Fixed eventually. Room was hot or cold. No in between.

Terrible hotel. Needs maintenance and thorough cleaning. Plumbing is dubious, towels are shredded. No bath mat. Dirty coffee pot. Breakfast should be an embarrassment to the owner and mgmt. Do not stay here.

Absolutely horrible! TV did not work, I called the desk clerk phone wasn’t working either so my husband went downstairs to talk to the clerk. Then the elevator didn’t want to work. Clerk came in to the room and had no explanation for the phone and TV not working except sorry I dont know why. Do not stay here it does have the look of old classic but you will get no rest. The pipes rattle, they need to put caulk in the windows to keep the air from blowing into your room and howling. The continental breakfast consisted of two different kind of dried out stale mini muffins. We could have actually used them to plug up the windows had we had them during the night that might have prevented some of the howling sounds. I have stayed in many beautiful hotels and this is definitely a thumbs down. We won’t be back and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Service was ridiculously slow! All four steaks were over cooked and mashed potatoes were cold. The four people who ordered the steaks said that they had to wait so long for their order, they didn't want to wait twice as long to have them remade. The server acknowledged that the steaks were all over cooked and made appropriate adjustments. This is the only nice restaurant in Seguin and it is disappointing that it has taken such a down turn in good and service from our previous visits.

Had reservations for 10, on a December Friday night. The place was full. Our experience was not good. The food was not prepared right. My $28 Ribeye was over cooked, no gravy on the mashed potatoes, no bread served with the meal. My wife's Pan Seared Chicken was tough, over cooked, sent it back. Our waiter couldn't attend to our needs. No forks when the meal was served. Hard to get refills, or didn't after the first refill. We bussed our own table to make room for our dessert. Would not recommend this place. Not a good experience for our birthday celebration.

It's I beautiful little place. The rooms are very nice and clean, when they say they have a handicap room with a roll in shower it's not a lie like so many other hotels say. We would have like to stay one more night BUT the elevator stoped working. Things like that happen.

We drove from California for our niece's wedding in New Braunsfels. After checking the reviews and pics of the Park Plaza Hotel, I reserved it. I am so happy it was just as I expected, such an awesome experience food was great, room was clean and quiet. The park across the street was absolutely gorgeous with all the trees lit up. The shops within walking distance was a plus. Very quaint and friendly little town!

Watched the fireworks from the roof. Nice place inside and out. The inside of the hotel has an old time elegant feel. I just love it. When inside you don’t feel like you are in Seguin, but in a very high end hotel. Staff were all very friendly as well.

At first sight the hotel was charming and had character and the location was cute. The hotel is tiny! Only 4 floors and I believe it was 30 rooms. Throughout our stay our experience grew worse. Cons including the weak shower, extremely, EXTREMELY hot rooms (even cranked down as far as possible), the musty, obnoxiously slow elevator, and lastly the "continental" breakfast that's included an impressive amount of nothing. My pros would include the location, the bed was comfy (which was hard to enjoy because I was continuously breaking a sweat) and the staff was friendly.

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! My heart is so passionate for the vintage touches throughout the hotel. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind. We came on a Monday and the restaurant part was closed so we didn't get to try it, but it's so beautiful inside. It's within walking distance of little shops and a park courtyard. 2-5 minutes away from restaurants. I can't wait to stay here again, it was amazing. Stay here!

The place was nice and the check in staff were super friendly. The rooms are a bit small, but they were comfy. The only 2 things I would complain about is the room gets really hot every once in while at night. My husband and I adjusted the A/C several times, so we didn't get much sleep. The bed was super comfortable though! The other complaint was the restaurant staff in the morning. No one helped us and when someone did show up, she was a bit rude and there was no coffee and the tables were still dirty. We arrived to the dining room around 9 am to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but left, oh well. Other than that the location is perfect and if you're a history buff, you'll love the look of the building and the history. Don't forget to cruise by the Mongolia Hotel that is located on Crockett St behind Park Plaza, apparently it is haunted!

I love this historic lady! Had dinner a couple of weeks ago and the food was delicious but it was a little on the cool side. But the waiter made sure we were taken care of and the cook warmed our food and all was good. The part I really love is that its downtown Seguin across from Central Park, if you get a room facing the park you get to see the lights that light up downtown and its just beautiful! Not to mention all the other bars are close by.

The stay was good BUT unbeknownst to us and possibly the staff, a two day celebration with music blaring on the square outside our window until midnight for both nights, put a damper on our stay. Music blaring interrupted my sleeping for both nights. That was not pleasant. The room was clean and fine for our stay but for the noise.

Nice hotel. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are on the smaller size as it's an older building. However, it's been tastefully remodeled. Beds are not the most comfortable.

We had an excellent experience staying here! The staff was pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming stay in a great location in Seguin.

My sister had her wedding reception here. The staff on hand was wonderful. They took exquisite care of us. The rooms in the hotel were nice and had a beautiful view of the lit up plaza fountain out front. They had a nice loft feel to them. It is even in walking distance of the bars around the plaza area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice hotel in Seguin.

Extremely friendly staff. Food was excellent. 100year old architecture with modernized Luxury feel. Hotel rooms were clean and updated. The owner is dedicated to providing the best hospitality in Seguin. I am from massachusettss on business and I would stay there again.

Park Plaza is the nicest spot in town to stay. Away from the big highway noise, it is so quiet and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the ease of parking on street and adjacent to the building. I also liked how friendly all staff were. The housekeeping staff were cleaning rooms on the morning I left and went out of their way to thank me for staying and to have a safe trip home. And, speaking of the housekeeping staff, it's clear they aren't just friendly — they take a lot of pride in their work. The room was immaculately cleaned. I stay at hotels all over the country in big cities and small — and never have I stayed in such a clean place. The online reservation sites have bad perspective pictures. They make the TVs seem very small, but in relation to the room they are perfect size. All furniture, even attached to the wall desks and night stands were strongly constructed and fastened. Every detail, from the window screens to the linens all expertly thought out and selected. I get to Seguin a lot. Now I have a lot to look forward — a real home away from home — and at fair pricing. Thank you Park Plaza for everything. I can't wait to stay again.
