De Soto Hotel Hotel

Was there for the ghost tours it was interesting had never been there before.

They are full of bedbugs and even more cockroaches than bedbigs they need to be shut down I requested a refund and they refused. So I said I would call the health department and they said they didnt like threats. Im sure thats gotta be a sign they are no good.

I came here on a paranormal trip. The hotel it self is in a good location. Nothing else is good about this place. Its supposed to be hunted, more like infested with roaches. Smelled like mildew and mold, definetely not a 1 star motel. Save your money and stay elsewhere. El paso its beautiful and this motel even though its historic it doesnt look safe at all.

Don't recommend you be there at night.

Not sure how to rate this since the hotel is super sketchy! People die there at least once a month, suicides, drug overdose, shootings, etc… it smells bad BUT we went there for a paranormal investigation so it was great for that. We had a really big group, so I think that is the reason we didn't experience as much activity but there definitely is something non human there along with the dead.

Clean rooms friendly, helpful management located downtown close to post office and banking.

This place is full of drugs the roof is caving in in alot of peoples rooms plus its infested with bed bugs. The time I stayed there some of the male staff stayed drnk if they had a night shift. The staff are very shady and they dont like law enforcement there because the owner pays alot of his staff under the table. I get sick alot when I stay there because of the black mold in the walls and ceilings.

Went for ghost hunt/ group event, in the end I got bored and no pictures of ghosts…

Great historical place. A little dirtt but all of downtown is dirty I guess.

Don't Go The Basement, why It's Evil.

I visited the De Soto Hotel as part of a ghost tour, so I can only comment on the basement. It was a typical dark and dirty basement with cockroaches.

Don't get turned off by the plain exterior. Simple elegance awaits you. Hotel is close to everything downtown even San Jacinto Plaza. Great monthly rates and restaurants literally next to the hotel. Best value in the downtown area especially for a long-term stay.
