Manager is rude, & disrespectful.

If you have dogs it's pet friendly. If your not do not stay here. The rooms smells so bad like wet dogs and pee. The grounds was not kept up. Garbage everywhere. Also there needs to be a area for dog walking and not in the front where ppl would walk through the mess and track it inside. The housekeepers wouldn't clean it up. Almost all the employees was very nice to us but 1 girl with red hair. She was so rude to us. I told her boss on her. it should be called the Animal motel.

We had a cousin working for us and he stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. They accused us/him of stealing an ALARM CLOCK … and promptly charged our ccard. $100. YES $100… After they said they wouldn't until we received a call from 'The Manager'. After waiting for 'The Manager' to call us back… We called the customer service number and will see where it goes from there. It's ridiculous to think you have to do a walk through of your hotel room with the housekeeper or manager before you check out to avoid these kind charges… We will NEVER stay at this hotel. Or recommend it to anyone else!

It is nice for the area!

No one at the desk in the afternoons. They disappear. No Wi-Fi password. AC does not keep room cool. Sink fills up with water unless you hold stopper up. Must remove stopper from tub to keep it from filling with water when showering. Morning staff seem professional. Room was clean. Pillows are cheap, hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel is infested with black mold. For the past 4 months. The smell everyone smells is the mold going through the ventilation system. That is why the stairway was closed on the poolside of ghe hotel. IIworked there as maintenance and was asked several times to try and cover it up from anyone finding out. I have pictures and videos of the damages. When I said I was going to turn them in I was terminated immediately. Several of the employees also do drugs on the property including one of the managers.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed and great breakfast, what more could you ask for.

I was driving in late and McKayla helped me out. She had a blow out bed ready for when we got there at 2 am even though her shift finished at 11pm. She made the next receptionist Kaitlyn aware that I was going to be there late. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thank You so much!

We spent a weekend here visiting family. The hotel staff was awesome, with renovations going on it is never easy but they were on the ball & helpful. The subcontractors were busy working but took time to be friendly & helpful, even apoligic for doing their jobs. The room was very clean & breakfast was great, they really took care of us. I was raised around here & always love coming back, brownwood has an extra layer of friendliness and so does the staff here. Thanks.

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times while in Brownwood. The staff was absolutely amazing and very accommodating! During my most recent stay in May they were renovating the property. If you are looking for a good free breakfast they offer that as well. I definitely recommend this property to anyone needing to stay in Brownwood!

We have 2 rooms My parents room will not lock when you leave the room. They opted to just lock on inside and not leave the room. We got a suite so our kids could spread out. The pullout was busted. The mattress was nasty. Room smells like an overdose of Arm and Hammer Pet Fresh. Mattress on king bed is the worst I have ever paid to sleep on. The pool was nasty. Smokers took over the pool deck. My son asked "Is that poop on the bottom? " Seriously appeared to be a turd in the bottom of the pool. Signs are up about renovations But this place is very dirty. Not to LaQuinta standards. It should be shut down.

Clean rooms, free breakfast is better than average. Hotel is remodeled — my biggest complaint… the chairs are cheap and extremely uncomfortable. They're using the modern look, but these must be the cheapest they could find. Far below LA Quinta standards. The staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous.

Very friendly staff. Either recently built or remodeled. Rooms are excellent. Very tall ceilings, and nice furnishings. Highly recommend!

Service has been great, the rooms have been pretty clean, and it's located near a McDonald's and Walmart. There is a bunch of extra chairs and broken down beds by the stairs (looks a little trashy). Elevator is very slow, literally like every time I use it I wait for several minutes. I would still stay here again if I was in Brownwood.

Had to switch rooms once due to TV not working. Second room had issues with TV and phone which were resolved after 10 minutes, but who wants to deal with problems that late at night. Other customers were having problems with doors all night so sleep was restless. Went to get waffles, avoiding banana nut, but they were switched so I got it anyway. Seriously was not worth the money for all that went wrong. And no, there was no compensation for our troubles.

The facility was very clean, the front desk was very kind and helpful and willing to assist us with all of our needs! I was very surprised how well I slept that night! Will definitely be staying here on our next visit!

We didn't want to leave. We received excellent service. When we requested something the staff were fast and very polite. It must be the southern hospitality. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Bed was really comfortable to us as well as the different types of pillows. Gym was excellent, was able to get my full work out in. Free breakfast, the staff were on point bring out fresh food when something was almost gone. They were beyond friendly, I personally never received that at breakfast anywhere, unless they worked at a restaurant. We will recommend to all my friends and family! Thanks for such a pleasant stay!

Compared with other LaQuinta Hotels / Motels I would place this in the top ten that I have stayed. Clean and close to several restaurants. The room that I stayed in had a large sitting area with a separate bathroom. Not too bad for a long stay.

The pool and hot were outside and very dirty clean rooms and comfortable beds same food for the breakfast.

Room is nice. Breakfast was good. However, they Say we have HBO. However the DirectTV says the channel is not subscribed. Called to complain last night and the clerk had a complete "too bad, I don't care" attitude. Then when the night shift comes on they call at midnight and wake me up to tell me that it's not just my room. DUH! It's now noon on day two and still no HBO.

Always nice and clean, friendly and helpful, but if needing during holidays or spring break, book early, cause this place books up early. Also if military or vet, sung up fir their military discount card, you get great service and add up rewards points faster…

Great setup good price awesome breakfast with wonderful, helpful and caring employees and of course during the summer a pool and they keep their hot tub open pretty much all year and that's definitely an up side to me!

Has all the essential characteristics of an hotel. Breakfast wasn't great but what do you expect when it's free. Doors won't close well so you hear door slam when other guests come in or leave their rooms which isn't good for a light sleeper.

Nice, clean comfortable place to stay. But, their opinion of their worth is much too high. Brownwood does not warrant $150 a night, nothing against Brownwood. It just doesn't.

Dogs barking and fighting literally every night and in the morning. Dog hair everywhere. Totally disgusting. Will never stay here again. Several guests complained all week and nothing was done to resolve the problem. Two large huskies congregating in the halls at night disturbing everyone's rest. Unacceptable!

The place is beautiful, the beds are comfy, there is a good selection of protein at the breakfast bar, the people are friendly and cheerful. Perfect.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Management is great, front desk staff is very nice and professional. Definitely staying here again! Room very clean and great breakfast ❤️

Horrible, this hotel has bugs in the towels, door had cracks and dirty sheets. Rude girl at the counter. Asked for my funds back and got ignored. Horrible service. If you're in the area go to Hampton Inn.

La Quinta continues to meet my perception of a decent but often cheap hotel. The toilet in my room was cheap and ran constantly and loudly. Multiple items were falling off the wall. The hallway had random drywall damage half completed. The room was clean and ok but not impressive.

Visiting town and EXTREMELY disappointed with the La Quinta. Our room on the 4th floor smelled VERY BAD — like mildew and old wet smoke. There were insects in the bathtub. There was a large amount of mold in the AC unit which did not dehumidify the room. I woke up feeling sick — probably from the mold. It was very very bad. There were disgusting moldy towels (? ) Just outside our window. Please, do not stay here.

Great location, very accommodating, clean rooms, comfortable beds & friendly staff! We came in with our in laws for a funeral it was a great location to everything we needed.

Very comfortable stay. Location is centrally located to about anything you need. The room was clean and fairly new. Staff was friendly and provided quality service. Would recommend for a garunteed good stay.

Very clean facility. The even allowed our dog to stay with us at no charge. He is a seven pound Maltese. King bed with mini fridge, microwave, blow dryer, and iron. Continental breakfast, swimming pool, business center and meeting room. Definitely enjoyed our stay!

We had a nice stay. The room was nice and clean and the hotel staff was friendly. There were fewer choices for breakfast than I would have liked. We did not get as much rest as we would have liked due to noisy neighbors coming and going. We could even hear the folks above us walking around, too. On a positive note, this hotel is convenient to two grocery stores and several restaurants.

Nice stay. Room was average size and nice decor. Two queen beds, a dresser, a table, small TV (32"), and a cabinet with microwave​and mini fridge. The entry and bath had a wood look flooring and carpet in the bed area which looked nice. The room and bathroom were clean. Beds were okay, a little hard for our liking. Our two complaints are the paper thin walls and the AC was horrible. We could hear parts of our neighbors conversations and everything in the hall. Seems typical for a hotel. It was a warm night and the room was very warm. The AC would kick on and then off in a minute or so. Had it turned down as low as possible and it still was too warm. We ended up opening the window which helped when it cooled down outside. The breakfast was typical, eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, juices, and coffee. Staff was pleasant and courteous. They also had a little shop area in the lobby for drinks, ice cream, and little things you might forget. Overall it was a nice stay for an overnight trip.

How every running this place needs to be fired. Not every going to stay at this location.

We stay here every year for a family reunion. For a hotel that has a huge sign out front stating newly remodeled this hotel is in bad disrepair. Light fixtures are broken, fire sprinklers are missing covers, elevator is incredibly slow. Air conditioner in room runs but feels muggy the whole time. Shower caulking was extremely dirty and vanity was separating from backsplash… the list goes on. Their "remodel" paint job was poorly done. Breakfast was disappointing as cereal dispensers looked dirty, eggs were definitely powdered and the coffee now tastes like instant. Our biggest disappointment was it being the middle of July and the pool was closed for "cleaning". It's been closed every time we've stayed here in the past 3 years. I'm not sure what's happened but the quality of this hotel has greatly decreased. We will not choose to stay here again.

The rooms were clean and updated. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

My wife thought the hotel was so nice for such a good price. But you know how it is, when someone makes a wonderful impression on you, then they turn out to be mean, hateful and dishonest? It turns out that you will hate that person and never trust them again. The eggs at the continental Breakfast were also green. Sam I am, I am not. She does not want to go into any detail about the unbelievably rude things the day manager said to her beloved cousin when said cousin called about the $70 charge that was taken out of her credit card for INSANE EXCUSE of a reason. My cousin came to see Wife because she has made herself physically sick from worrying and has not had family to talk to in well over a year. This hotel has a history of getting bad reviews for charging people for things like this. I'm not going to be specific because they may not give her back what they shouldn't have taken. At this point the regional manager has promised to write her a check for it. Do you ever find yourself being overwhelmingly grateful for people giving you your own stuff back? I always am. She also really and truly deserves an apology to the staff that she had to talk to when she discovered the deficit in her bank account today. It seems that at best she received apathy, but she got a few words from the day manager that would have caused most people to drive back to Brownwood and Things not just about her but about every one who has ever stayed at a hotel.

One of the nicer LaQuinta Inns that I have stayed in. Rate was good, room was clean, staff was friendly. They even had fried eggs with breakfast, but that was unusual. Overall, Great experience!

My family and I have always stayed at this location during my brother's time as a student at Howard Payne University and playing football. Obviously, the fall was a busy time for football and this location became a second home on the weekend. We did have a small issues once with the hotel staff when making a reservation for their conference room. We were thoroughly dissappointed, but the General Manager was finally made aware of the issue and took care of us to the best of his ability. We were very thankful for an understanding and considerate manager. Definitely recommend this hotel for the small town of Brownwood.

Very nice hotel. I stayed here a couple nights and was impressed by the entire experience. It is a no smoking hotel so when the person in the room next to me was smoking, the hotel management took care of it immediately — going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The rooms were super clean, the desk help was truly helpful, and the area felt safe. Great location. You can walk to McDonalds, Chilis, Subway, Walmart, Home Depot. And a nice place to go run / walk within a few miles (Riverside Park). They also have an indoor work-out facility for those who like to keep it indoors.
