Positives: Upscale hotel. I would say people with combined incomes up to $200k would like this hotel. Above that range, you need the Ritz. Very nice lobby ambiance. Great food, nice restaurants. Excellent location. Center of all the crowd and entertainment. Clean decent rooms. Room service is reliable and food service to the room was relatively quick if you select quick type items. Just very expensive for food service. Rooms have balconies. Outdoor balcony pool for guests also. The fitness center is decent. The manager discounted our rooms for the trouble we had, which was appreciated. Negatives: River walk view rooms have to put up with the loud entertainment on Friday and Saturday night up to 10pm. Valet parking is $42/night, but there is one overnight parking garage next to the hotel on market street with entrance on commerce street that charges $15 per night, but no in and out. Sundays are $18. If you pay for valet at the hotel, it can take up to half hour to get your car, and longer on Saturday nights. I personally had issues with one of the rooms we stayed in. There was a terrible burning odor throughout our stay coming from the ventilation. They claimed it was the filter needing replacement, but I think one of their fan motors must have been burning out. As with most hotels, the hallways can be very noisy when people walk by or kids scream and run. The doors are very thin. The beds are a bit soft for my taste. The televisions are set extremely high contrast to the point you can't even watch it without getting a headache.
