Went to San Antonio for the night. Booked a king size room, when we arrived we were told by Jonathan that they did not have any king size rooms left. That was not the case because the couple we went with got one. Bartender and F&B Director very nice. They saw I was upset and tried to comp our drinks and food. I did not want that. I wanted the room we booked. After going out for the night and coming back I decided to try and book a king room online. And guess what they had them available. Went back to the front desk spoke with the Guest Service Agent Jonathan that tried to give us free breakfast because he could not give us a king size room. I declined the free breakfast. That is not what I wanted. Questioned him about the online booking he got very rude and said it was wrong and we don't have any. I asked to speak to the manager on Duty he said that he was the manager on duty. I asked for the business card of the GM and he gave me the Director of Rooms card. I told him that I wanted the card for the GM. He told me he did not have one. A server from the bar was behind the front desk an saw that I was not happy and I asked him for the name of the GM and he gave it to me as Jonathan was staring me down. I asked for the last name of the GM and it was long and not a common one, so I asked for the server to spell it for me. So Jonathan decided that he was going to spell the last name out like was a second grader very slow. Was not impressed at all with the customer service at the front desk. Very rude. I will be writing a letter to Hilton Corp tonight and calling the GM tomorrow. Would not go back because of the service that we got from Jonathan at the front desk. Will make sure that anybody that travels into San Antonio knows about the experience that I had with them.
