I live in Amarillo, but I had previously booked a room for out of state guests at this hotel. When I arrived on June 20th, I was immediately greeted at the front counter and the room was confirmed. When my guests arrived, the manager walked by and engaged them in conversation. After finding out that they were in town from out of state taking their daughter to college orientation, she upgraded their room so they would be more comfortable! This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff and great management. If you love the feel of a downtown atmosphere and want to be treated like royalty, this is a great place to stay!

This is the nicest Courtyard I've been at. Courtyard is always pretty nice but this is really a step above. Will come back.

Decent location, but area was a bit run down. Rooms were nice enough but felt a little dated. Staff was mixed between super nice and helpful and a bit glum and less helpful. And nothing against the hotel, but buy lots of bottled water, the tap was gross in the whole city.

Even though a lot of construction it still very nice room looked very roomy view was pretty awesome.

Very nice property in the heart of downtown. If you're going thru Amarillo I recommend you stay downtown. That is if you like a vibrant nightlife.

This is a really nice hotel. It's very clean and everything is very nicely set up. The rooms are big, clean and nice. The staff was very nice and helpful.

There was a awful fishy stinch smell coming from the A/c unit which blew around the room (205) the whole night. It kept me up all night and was not able to sleep. Service and room was not worth what was paid I would not recommend staying here not even for a night. Told front desk about my issue and then was told, I was not initialed to a credit since we paid with a third party. Then, I was offered something from the snack area to compensate (what an insult)! Never again Courtyard.

Overall, a decent location, clean, friendly, and quiet. If you're but a fan of Starbucks coffee, there's an excellent local roaster just across the street.

Very cool building! Clean room and lobby. Very comfortable. The staff was friendly at the front desk, but the restaurant staff was pitiful. The front desk gave some great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. My room was on the 6th floor with some nice double window views. The room was clean and spacious. I really like that this hotel has traditional doors into the bathroom and toilet, not those pocket/sliding doors. Beds and pillows were comfortable, Hvac worked without issue, and shower water pressure was great. ***Noise*** the club across the street kept me tossing and turning for all THREE nights we were there. Very disappointed by this. Even with ear plugs I couldn’t sleep and was up till at least 3am. One of my colleagues slept in a room at the other end of the hall and did not have this problem. If we visit Amarillo again and stay here, I will ask for a room furthest from the street regardless of the view. *** Overall the hotel was nice, I wish they served a free breakfast, and their restaurant needs a new manager.

This hotel rooms have the best views in Amarillo. Check in is always simple and fast. Free covered parking. Comfortable beds. Easy access to some of Amarillo best resturants.

Nucely appointed and comfortable room after it warmed up. Older building, and my room had two walls of windows so it was chilly. Bistro in lobby was convenient, garage parking is free. Pleasant and accommodating staff.

Unlike recent stays, now there is an annoying club blasting music the whole night right across the street. I hate to bash this place, but I saw and killed a roach while in my room. I loved our stays here before. Now?. I’d advise against it, especially if you have kids.

2nd time staying there. The first time was great (5 years ago), but I will never stay there again. Doesn't offer free breakfast, my room heater stopped working at 3AM, it was below 10 degrees outside, had to call maintenance twice at 4AM, the elevators were filthy, there wasn't a microwave in the room, there wasn't even an ice machine on my floor. Very disappointed.

We stayed in the same company hotel in Arizona, the price there was cheaper and they offer breakfast. At courtyard, it was more expensive and they didn't offer breakfast. And from the other reviews I read about music being played at night, well they were right. You can hear music pretty much during the whole night because there is a restaurant which seems like a night club. It's an okay hotel in my opinion.

Stayed for two nights. All the staff members were extremely polite and enjoyable. The room was very clean with appropriate amenities. They even provided a few things we forgot.

This was the cleanest and quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. I was really impressed with the staff, the lobby and the food. I wish I stayed here the past few times I drove through. Honestly when I drive through downtown I thought, damn my car will for sure be broken into :/ it was really run down and abandoned. But there was secure parking and as soon as I walked in the hotel I was so relieved. I highly recommend staying here.

Always a pleasure staying at a Marriott. This location has numerous restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Exercise room was excellent. Head a great stay.

Amazing hotel with a modern/historic feel. When I arrived there was a young lady by the name of Alexis that assisted me. I can say with the utmost confidence that I have never received such good service! The rest of the staff was pleasant as well. I look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Rooms are clean, a little on the small side, which is to be expected when in a historic building. Very nice history of the building (built in 1928) and the man who built it, Charles Fisk. The on-site bistro is well-appointed, though the staffing is minimal. Quality of food; however, is good.

They did a complete remodel of an historic Amarillo building. It is the anchor for many great places to visit in downtown. People love the rooms!

The hotel is nice, but it was missing some of the little touches that can make a hotel really stand out. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, and our stay (2 adults, 2 kids) was perfectly pleasant. The parking was in a garage connected to the hotel, but it was kind of awkward to get to your car easily. My biggest complaint, if you can call it that, was that although the hotel was fast from full and we booked well in advance, they have us a room in the second floor with probably the worst view I've ever had in a hotel. The window was level with a floor of the parking garage. It's a good thing I don't stay in Amarillo for the views.

If your have to stay in Amarilllo this is the best hotel that I have been to. Located in a historic building the Courtyard Downtown provides spacious rooms and a great location to food and other happenings in the downtown area. Fully remodeled the hotel has all the amenities you expect from a Courtyard and much more. Our stays here have been quite, restful and enjoyable.

I did not have a reservation, but showed up and the front desk was friendly and fast. The hotel is an excellent restoration. Room was comfortable and quiet. Will definitely return if back in the area for work. P. S. The Internet service, free speed level, was consistent and able to sustain a vpn connection, big bonus for me as I could connect to work files.

I want everyone to know a little secret in Amarillo. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel do so. Even though it is an old building built in 1926 it is unbelievable. The entire staff is exceptional. Request a City view room and try to get the highest floor you can. We stayed on the 8th floor (Room 812) and at night opening the blinds and looking out will impress you. You just don't want to leave. Been to New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Orlando and San Francisco and stayed at some pretty nice places but this place is now my favorite. They have a happy hour which is nice and have great food as well. You can always go to Acapulco's across the street for great Mexican food and off of the beaten path is Napoli's Italian Restaurant which is several blocks away and is awesome as well. I just wish I could give more than 5 stars. A place I will never forget. Trey.

Great atmosphere. Staff is awesome and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is my 3rd time to stay for a romantic getaway. The "city view" room has a great view of downtown Amarillo. I recommend Marriott Courtyard as 5 stars.

I stay at this hotel often for business. It is in a historic building that has been renovated into a hotel. The rooms are very large and spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The rooms and facilities are well maintained.

One night stay that was uneventful. Staff was accommodating and the room was nice and clean (as expected at a Marriott). Lack of a pool and continental breakfast was a bit of a letdown for the kids, but I guess I could have looked into that when I made the reservation and proactively tamped down their expectations. Lesson learned. Would be a great place to stay downtown on business.

Booked a month in advance. I flew into Amarillo and realized my reservation was off by one day. I travel 140 nights a year and have never had a hotel not be able to accommodate me. I said I could move rooms etc. Instead I was told there would be no price break or accommodation. Joseph at the front desk could care less to try and help. He treated me like I was booking same day off he street and if I wanted that I wouldn't try to explain it to him. As he stared at me with no expression and no initiative. I have never been so frustrated at a hotel I regularly stay at. Marriott online called and Jason the manger was just as ineffective. I cancelled all my nights. Joseph could care less and let me walk as he clearly has no training in customer service. *Staying at the NEW Holiday Inn Amarillo West brand new hotel. Not happy with Marriott and they way I was treated.

Family of four on a road trip home, we booked a suite that was supposed to have a pull out sofa for our little ones. The sofa bed was broken and did not pull out, so we notified the front desk. We had to pull the mattress off and put it on the floor. We were all very tired so it was a little frustrating. Front desk did not offer to change rooms or fix the problem, all they did was assure us we would not be responsible for the damage done prior to our arrival. The bath tub faucet dripped all night, which just caused further irritation. Overall, I would not stay here again, I'm sorry to say.

Always clean and quiet with a great view. The staff is well mannered and helpful. I just wish the nearby restaurants stayed open past 10 PM.

Rooms are kept in good condition. They also Have excellent service, and great breakfast! If you can, I highly recommend staying in their queen suite. It has a beautiful corner room view over looking downtown.

The room was spacious and felt very nice. It was a plus to have the complimentary downtown parking. The bed was very firm but comfortable. Location was very good with night life within walking distance. We only stayed one night because we were just passing through.

This is a nice hotel from the outside since it was rebuilt from an old downtown building but that is the only good thing about it. I stayed here for a wedding party with my family. At check-in the agent never told me what room type or length of stay I was booked for. Of course after I get all the way to my room full of luggage and children I walk into a King bed… I went back downstairs to get a room with two doubles and they said I would have to pay double since all they have now is a "suite". There was no management on staff the entire weekend so I figured I could follow back up on Monday about this discrepancy. The agent then put me in a wheel chair accessible room without telling me again. Our 1st night the A/C did not work so asked maintenance to go look at it. Housekeeping never came on Saturday. Our 2nd night A/C did not work! I asked management to call me Monday morning and never received a call. I called them on Tuesday morning and finally got a call back 6 hours later. The manager called me a liar and nothing was wrong with their A/C and she would do nothing more. This hotel is priced like a full service hotel and it not worth half! I am done with Marriott.

Front of house service was fairly helpful regarding ringing the big Texas steakhouse to order us one of the complimentary limos (I would highly recommend going here and staying at one of the hotels near here! ) but their knowledge of the local area was very poor! Everything else was absolutely atrocious! Not enough towels in the bathroom, the air conditioning was extremely poor, and I've never been so disgusted by a breakfast in my entire life! The service was awful, as was the food and the price! Also had very dirty cutlery and tables had not been cleaned! Disgusting! Would not reccoment this to a sewer rat!

Truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The rooms were clean and spacious with large bathrooms. Hope to stay longer next visit.

So it is a neat building with a bit of nostalgic to it being in an old medical building. The staff is nice and we have stayed in worse over the years. Other reviews overall seem to say it is just fine so Ill be easy here. After all the heat did work and it kept us dry at night when it was raining outside. 1. It was the wrong room, We had our two kids with us and made it work. 2. Wy-FI did not work well, we went back to the 3 G on our phones 3. No ice machine on our floor so if we went down stairs where we could get some. (ask for a floor with an ice machine when making your reservation if you plane to use ice). 4. Last thing I will comment about is the hot water, we can live without sheets pillows, TV etc but a working shower is one thing we really like when planing to be in public during the day. It had a hair trigger for hot or cold water, and would change in mid shower usually going full hot once it finally got there and wow is it hot! We had to turn on the sink for about 20 minuets then run the tub to first get the hot water flowing after that it was another 10 minuets to try an find the right balance of cold and hot for a comfortable shower. The first morning (no other problems reported they said) we called the front desk and after some time they called back and said no rooms were available but we could have some free breakfast (they don't have anything much more than muffins and coffee).

Awesome place to stay. Friendly, clean, comfy big beds, modern. Close by good food and bars. What more could you ask for.

All-in-all, a very disappointing hotel. The AC unit is located to blow directly onto the bed; the unit has only one fan speed — VERY high. This makes for a VERY uncomfortable and very restless sleep. As long as this issue isn't addressed, I will not stay here again. At least the unit should be modified to have other, slower speeds. It could also be ducted so the air was distributed equally to other parts of the room, other than just the bed alcove. The room's cleanliness was disappointing; the carpet showed stains from liquid spills and dingy/fading 'paths' on the most used/walked areas. The bathroom was poorly cleaned; it had apparently been mopped. Poorly. The corners had dirt build-up and the floor had numerous strands of dark hair about 6 inches long mopped onto the floor.

I spent the last two days here and went to the front desk to ask for a late check out. Check out is noon and I had an appointment that was going to run til 12:;30. I asked the young lady at the desk for a late check out. I would be out of the room before 1pm. "No sir we don't have any of those today". So my wife instead waited in the car for 45 minutes. Thanks Marriott At $160 a night and no cost to you. You could have helped. The hotel is surrounded by abandoned buildings for blocks. There is a Mexican restaurant and a couple of bars across the street but honestly you will have to travel a couple of miles to find any retail or services.

Absolutely flawless stay at this downtown hotel converted from the 1927 Fisk Building. Aside from the exterior, elevators and mail chute, you can't tell this is a nearly-90 year old building. The interior is completely modern and brand new. The rooms are very nice and clean with a large shower and bathroom. All brand new modern fixtures and furniture in the room. Wi-Fi available in all areas. Decent exercise room but no pool. Lobby and bistro bar area is a nice place to hang out with some pretty cool seating areas. Lots of original photos and reading material on the history of the building located in the lobby. Adjoining parking garage keeps your vehicle close and out of the weather. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay again.

Nice Marriott, nice staff but the pay for internet here is a scam. Same speeds as the free Wi-Fi. In house food pretty solid but they don't have room service so most people in my work group would just go spend our money at restaurants across the street. Have fun walking down three flights of stairs from their parking garage because they don't seem to mention that their is no elevator.
