Review of OYO Hotel Sweetwater TN West 3*

We stayed in Room 165 at Motel Six in Sweetwater Tn. The room seemed to be remodeled. I notified the motel that it was our Wedding Anniversary and this was a special. Day. We arrived and the employee had trouble finding our room reservation even with a number. When the reservation was found, I paid for the room. We went to the room and I inserted the security key and the door nob was about to fall off. The room was supposed to be remodeled. There was exposed wiring in the corner near base molding. We unloaded our luggage into the room and gave it a try since we was so tired. After unloading we went out shopping and to dinner. When returning to the motel we decided to go for a swim. My wife went in first she came out of the pool, and stated it smelled and there was something black floating on top of the water. So we went back to the room and tried to turn the lights on. We tried the switch next to the door it did not work. We searched around the room and finally was able to find the restroom light. We searched and found that the wall lamps were not plugged in. So I plugged them in. We needed to obtain more towels so I was going to call the office. There is no phone in the room. I got dressed and walked to the front office. I let the employee (male) know the pool was dirty and needed more towels (6pm). He said he would bring them to the room. We explained it was our Anniversary and we did not want be disturbed. He said he did not have the key and the maid had it. We returned to the room and waited and waited. We went back to the office and demanded towels and still no result. The employee finally brought two towels at 10:30 pm. What Motel denies towels when you have a pool open. There is a towel rack at the pool with no towels on it.? I can understand you are remodeling but this room should of been ready for a paying customer. Another thing the shower was never cleaned. Under the mat it is brown and filthy. We have a video. Would you like to see it… this was suppose to be a remodeled room. Nice people but to many excuses. One person blaming the other. I don't care who works when and how many hours. Just clean the pool, room, and showers for your customer. Fix the door for their safety and install a phone. My next stay will be at holiday inn express across the street. Thanks for ruining our anniversary. Also thanks for the breakfast that is advertised. This is not offered at this location.
