I had food sent in to one of the bridal suites for family and friends while they were getting their hair and make up done. They picked the food up way before everyone had eaten. If they had planned on picking the food up at a certain time, I — as the hostess — should have been notified. I agreed to pay for half the bill which I felt was fair but I had to suggest it. I still had to order food from a local restaurant to be sent to the venue so everyone could eat. Very disappointed in how they handled this event. I used to refer all out of town guests to the Peabody. My suggestion is to walk through the lobby, have a drink but stay or host elsewhere. Their standards have fallen significantly.

The service was absolutely perfect. The staff is exceptional. The scenery is beautiful. You definitely owe it to yourself to stay at the Peabody if you’re visiting Memphis!

You won't find a better staff than here at the Peabody. Everyone & everything is outstanding! Be sure to catch the ducks coming or going — cute experience either way. The rooms are extremely clean and kept up and you shouldn't want for anything here that they can't help you with. I don't like to stay anywhere else in Memphis.

I loved it! The smell, the ambiance, the piano music, and the wait staff were excellent! Ofcourse the ducks too! A very sentimental visit for me. I grew up hearing stories from my Granddad, he'd visit the hotel on business trips. Felt like a true piece of history, and the joy and the excitement from the kids to see the ducks is there to stay.

The beds are excellent, lots of pillows (covers embossed with ducks) Towels are great (bathmat embossed with ducks) Soap and lotions provided make you smell wealthy. Only drawbacks are minimal soundproofing and the Wi-Fi is erratic. Ducks in the lobby are a huge positive. Love the Peabody!

My sister and I had tea at Chez Phillipe the other day. The hostess knew our names before we opened our mouth. She escorted us to our table which included a cushy sofa as our seating. The whole dining area was exquisite. The first course tea sandwiches were all very delicious. I wish I could recreate them at home. The second course was a very large blueberry scone and the clotted cream and jam went extremely well together. Unfortunately I was too full to thoroughly enjoy the last dessert course. However our intuitive waiter knew to ask if we wanted the desserts boxed up. I had the peach tea which smelled very nicely. They definitely take care of you here and it's ambience made me feel like a Southern belle.

This was a very fun experience. Nice room but very small bathroom. Hallway was noisy because of remodeling but earplugs were provided. We really enjoyed the duck march. Employees were very kind and someone even brought me Tylenol at no additional charge!

Everyone I visit the Peabody, I find something more to love. I was there for a meeting, and as we were parking, a man in a golf cart drove up and asked us if we would like a ride to the entrance. We jumped in, and he drove us to the entrance. He then asked one of the other Peabody associates where our meeting was going to be held, then he drove us to another location and dropped us off so we would have a shorter walk to the conference hall. We didn't ask for any of that, but he did it, just because, it is the Peabody. I wish I knew his name because I would give him a shout out for excellent service. The man who drove around the Peabody parking garage on the evening of 8/23/2018, thank you very much for your kindness and great customer service. We will see you again because we will definitely return.

We went to the Peabody for our honeymoon and loved it. There was a large bug in our room the first night so my husband asked the front desk to treat our room the next day while we out. Instead, they upgraded our room and gave us free breakfast the next morning. They even moved the mini-fridge we had requested between rooms. The initial room was treated by pest control as well. For the duck viewing we went each time that we were staying in the hotel. We had great seats the last morning by arriving 45 minutes early. We still managed to get good seats the morning before by only arriving 20 minutes early. The evening we were there we sat on the mezzanine level. I am very glad that people are only allowed to sit in the bar area. At one point a woman was standing and blocking the view we had been waiting for. A server very kindly asked her to move and she was able to find a different seat. Upon entering the bar area, every patron is told that you are only allowed to sit during the march. There was one man working in the lobby bar on Sunday and Monday night that was absolutely exceptional.

Enjoyable place to visit, but the lobby gets extremely crowded; if you're claustrophobic, avoid the duck hours. The hotel itself is nice and has great character, gives you the feel of when times were honest and simple. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Great location in downtown Memphis, walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Overall, it was an nice stay with historical connections.

Great place to stay rooms are comfortable, friendly staff and have to stay and watch the duck parade great entertainment and great to see a 85 year tradition continue. Ps a great fine dining experience as well if you want to treat yourself.

You do not have to be a guest of this historic and elegant hotel to enjoy it. Come on in and have a cocktail at the fabulous bar. The lobby is elegant and spacious. There is comfortable seating. We ordered a coffee that can be shared for two. They serve a delightful set with cookies and a French press enough for 4 cups. Price is not expensive. With tip, less than 16 dollars. Sometimes it's nice to get off the street and take a break — soak up the charm of a city and enjoy the older hotels. The Peabody is just this sort of place. And the Ducks! They are in the lobby. You'll have to go there to read the story about the ducks (since 1930) on the cocktail napkin. All part of the fun.

This hotel is awesome. It's a 4 star hotel with nice restaurants. We saw the duck March which they schedule everyday at 11 AM and 5 pm. Great drinks at the bar. A great dessert shop and a happy hour where the drinks and appetizers are half off. Rooms are quite expensive but I think it is well worth it.

Became a tourist in my beloved state of Tennessee with a stay at The Peabody! The staff demonstrates southern hospitality at its finest! The outstanding star of the trip goes to Mia in The Cappricio Grille. She is the best!

The wonderful history and architecture of the building along with the staff with an answer to your every question about the facility and the area are worth the stay at the Peabody… the duck march is just a bonus worth experiencing. Another one off our bucket list and a most memorable experience!

Beautiful facilities. Good drinks. Great ambience. Service wasn't amazing. It took around 30 minutes to flag down our server to get a check. Eventually, I had to walk up and ask for the check, and I was told they'd find my server and send her over right away. On top of that, they've apparently got some silly rule/policy that they can only bring 4 waters out to the table at a time. We had a party of 7… we all ordered drinks. Then we got attitude about ordering water? Not the server's fault… bad policy from the hotel.

We stayed at the Peabody on our wedding night. We're from Memphis and have visited Peabody for various events but never stayed for the night. Its has a reputation as one of the most luxurious hotels in the south and it absolutely is! I've never experienced so much hospitality and wonderful service in my life. We stayed on the executive club floor and were treated like royalty. We were also upgraded from a queen room to an executive king suite when we were checking in since it was our wedding night. I love to go and have drinks when they're about to take the ducks back to their house. A lot of people go to see this tradition so it might get a little overcrowded but that's the charm about it. The staff is one of the best I've seen. They will go beyond to help. Next time you're in Memphis stop by the Peabody or even better, stay at The Peabody. You will love it!

First time staying was a bad super expensive place with low standard employees from bar servers to managers (3) to be exact. Room was pretty till my girlfriend step on carpet nails where the carpet was missing between room and bathroom and the door knocker about fell off the door when it shut. Bar drinks where not consistent nor were the employees willing to help with our problems including managers. The front desk lady the next morning was nice and discounted us after we asked for a 3rd manager which we never got because he was late for work but she did take care of us for the most part with great friendly attitude. For the money this experience was no where near 2 stars. Had better service down the street at a local bar. Doubtful to repeat this ever again. Basically paid alot of money for non caring rude people to laugh at us and treat us like dirt. $500 for a room with missing carpet, nails, and stuff hanging off the door. Never again will I stay there even if it is supposedly lavish.

We had a very nice stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the duck-walking ceremony was nice to watch on our first day, though we didn't care to watch after that. It is a cool feeling to stay in such a historic hotel. I do think they need more places to sit in the lobby, for it gets crowded during the duck-walking time and you have to stand for a good amount of time. Other than that, though, this is a fine place to stay in Memphis.

Left my phone charger in the room. I called and the security guard said he would send someone up to get it and hold onto it until I returned in a few hours. I arrived and nobody knew what I was talking about, said they couldn't find it, and basically just shrugged it off. They could also put coffee pots in the rooms, maybe even coffee in the lobby, but they don't. The beds are comfortable.

Accommodations were great, no refrigerator in room and that was inconvenient but everything else was beautiful. The staff on the other hand were not so friendly. Was made to feel like I didn't belong there. It almost ruined my birthday. I paid almost 600 dollars to sleep there. I suggest The Peabody staff get to know their customers and especially if they spend that much to stay there. Also tried to contact someone at the hotel who cared at all and no one would even take the time to call me back. My mother used to bring me here when I was a child and I always had such fond memories of this place and staff. Times have changed a lot and it's really sad. This place HAD style and class, something that is completely missing now. What happened?

The hotel is beautiful, and the event of the ducks is very interesting.

Unfortunately my stay isn't over yet but the end can't come soon enough. Don't get me wrong, the hotel has an amazing history, charm and looks. However, that is best experienced by walking in off the street, looking around and leaving before you encounter the horrific service. There are so many things that have gone wrong I have no desire to type out line by line. Suffice it to say you can achieve a higher level of satisfaction staying anywhere else.

One of my favorite places to visit especially during the fall around Thanksgiving and Christmas. The duck walk is pretty cool to enjoy. I also like to visit during Memphis in May and during the summer months when they are having rooftop parties overlooking the MS River. As to spending the night at The Peabody I'll just say some rooms are more comfortable than others keeping in mind that this is a very old motel therefore some rooms are not sound proof and are concrete and that's been the only downside to staying at this hotel. If your next door neighbor for the night is talking loudly or if there are crying babies next door you'll be up all night. I think next time I visit I'll just go for the lobby scenery and avoid actually staying the night there.

The Peabody is a lovely hotel, with a lot of history. The ducks are charming and memorable. The catering for the conference I attended was very good, and the staff was consistently friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning in the meeting rooms is very aggressive, so bring a sweater. Also, there really aren't enough elevators to handle the traffic when meetings get out and everyone wants to go up to their room, so be ready to take the stairs sometimes.

We had to get a room for one night because our plane was cancelled. When I called the only room they offered was over $500. When I said no way… All of a sudden they found one for $269. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Ducks were cool and the lobby is beautiful. The bartender and waitstaff and front desk staff seemed so unhappy in their jobs! Unlike the employees at the clothing stores there who were awesome. Walk across the street in the morning to the Fridays for breakfast if you want to see fun happy employees. The Peabody could learn from them.

As far as we're concerned, you simply can't visit Memphis without seeking out The Peabody! It would be almost criminal not to! We had made the mistake of booking The Bass Pro Pyramid for our accommodation simply because of the novelty value and some rather poor TA reviews of Peabody bedrooms. With the benefit of hindsight, we should have risked these reviews and confirmed. Anyway, we didn't! So instead, we spent a very pleasant afternoon with the ducks and the fountain, sampling the quality of the Peabody cocktail list! Having worked our way through much of it, we can (very) happily confirm the quality of their creative beverages! The staff we encountered were all very hospitable, and are clearly well used to non-residents availing themselves of the hotel's non-accommodation services. Next time, we'll be sure to book in!

The Peabody is such a beautiful hotel. The lobby and mezzanine are beautifully appointed with antiques, gorgeous floral arrangements, and of course the famous Peabody ducks that everyone comes to see. The lobby offers a lovely tea service. When I checked into the hotel a room was not ready for me, so they upgraded me to a King room. This was very unexpected and very appreciated after a long day of traveling. The room was gorgeous!

Full of History. Wonderful old world architecture in the lobby and the hotel, including the rooms. Really spacious rooms. Reminds you of old world graciousness and charm. Very courteous service from all the staff. Only one down side. Reason why I scored it a 4 star instead of 5. There is no mini bar or tea/coffee making machine in the room. The location. Just off Beale is outstanding! Can't miss the 11 m duck walk thru the lobby to the fountain!

We stopped by for a few minutes after dinner and were pleasant were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The lobby was busy and active. There was a very talented piano player taking requests. We stayed and enjoyed for a little while. Also, we took the kids to the roof top to see the house for the ducks! They absolutely loved it as well as the beautiful view.

Where to start… First of all this place is so beautiful. The staff was very helpful even though there was a mix up in room arrangements. It was handled quickly and professionally. My son enjoyed the ducks so much. The room service was delicious and the room itself was very very clean. The breakfast in the morning was awesome and they have some teas that I fell in love with. My concierge even set up childcare for my husband and I to enjoy a date night. I was able to check in with both the sitter and concierge to ease my mind. It was obvious that my concierge loves her job and cares about our experience as guests! I would absolutely stay again. I highly recommend it, don't just come for the ducks, see them then stay a night and you will see what I'm saying.

Went to see the March of the ducks, was absolutely brilliant. The ceremony is entertaining, the ducks are well behaved and adorable. One of the best things to do in Memphis. Would recommend getting there at least 20 minutes early to get a place to watch it. It's usually quite packed.

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Memphis. It is located in the heart of downtown and from here it is easy to navigate to the sights and sports venues just blocks away. The rooms, even the suites, are not very large but it is an older hotel and that is to be expected. The bar is lively and fun. I’m not sure why, but I still love to watch the ducks whenever I am here. If you are in Memphis and cannot stay here, at lest come for High Tea. It is a service they do quite well and it gives you a glimpse into the service you can expect on your return visit.

I'm not one to complain and it takes me a while before I get impatient but I tell you that this is the place to avoid during the holidays. Don't know if it was the skeleton crew of staff or just the lack of attention to detail but after hearing all the positive reviews and the overall legacy of this place I was assured that it would be a fine place to spend a holiday. Well it wasn't. From the inexperienced desk clerks to the extremely slow service I saw an overall lack of dedication to a place like this. The only way to eat at the two restaurants in the hotel is to make a reservation. Even if the place is empty they wouldn't let walk ins dine. Took us 30 minutes to check in. The place was not extremely clean. Broken glass on the ground that took a while for them the clean up. Finally just the overall service was slow and constantly made errors in orders. There was even a waitress who spilled a tray of drinks on a poor fellow by the duck fountain in the lobby. In the end it comes down to lack of attention to detail. Won't be staying again.

Keeping with a family tradition, we visited the Peabody during Christmas season to enjoy the beautiful decorations and music in the lobby. Afterward we enjoyed going to the roof to Duck Palace and seeing seasonal lights on the bridge and buildings. On the way back to the car we checked out the duck prints on the sidewalk and enjoyed the many store displays.

The crown jew of the mid-south. Absolutely beautiful interior, especially around Christmas. The atmosphere is unique, and unlike any other hotel I've been to. My group rented out a ballroom on the second floor, and couldn't have been happier with the arrangements. If you are in Memphis for a weekend do check out this incredible hotel.

It is a hotel espectacular! The best hotel in Memphis. In the Center of The city with a long history.

The architecture is beautiful and the front desk staff was great. The hotel has a good location. Aside from that, it has been a large disappointment. A big appeal is the marching of the ducks. Anthony the duck master was very rude to many in the lobby. Instead of speaking to guests in a helpful manner, it was demeaning and almost boastful. I witnessed a young couple with one seated at the bar while the other standing next to her be scolded for not being seated. One was and the other leaning against the bar next to his wife but both were told to move. To me it seemed that they were singled out. In our room, the linen was dirty, the air conditioning did not work properly, we were told of a late night menu but after calling down at 1130pm, we received a different message that food was no longer available. The menu states that it runs from 11pm to 530 am. While seated in the main lobby I witnessed not one but two prostitutes solicit men to which all 4 went into the elevator. As a paying guest, the acts I have seen are disrespectful. I booked poorly and that is a decision I am stuck paying for. However, for those booking beyond me, I hope that your stay is better.

The Peabody is an upscale hotel with a long history in Memphis. While clean and comfortable, the rooms are nothing special. The linens are nice and the beds are comfortable. If you want to see the duck walk, make sure to get a spot early, especially for the afternoon parade. Valet service was excellent.

We were passing through Memphis and seen an ad about The Peabody Hotel. We decided to visit because of the uniqueness about the hotel and it's ducks. The ducks live in the roof in there own hotel like living quarters, and at a certain time are escorted onto the elevators to the fountain in lobby. Then escorted back. The hotel is very nice and classy, and you tell that there was a lot of attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into making this hotel. We did not spend the night. We only came to see the ducks. There were only 4 ducks there unfortunately. Not what is represented on the website. But still, there were ducks in the hotel lobby fountain. What other hotel has that right? Very unique. Very high class hotel.

The Peabody is a gorgeous hotel I had the opportunity to stay at for a conference I attended. The lobby is beautiful with a huge fountain that is home to mallard ducks and a grand bar. The rooms are spacious and cozy and very well appointed. Highly recommend staying at The Peabody when in Memphis.

The environment at the Peabody is exactly what you'd expect. The hotel itself is elegant and offers a step up in comparison to the nearby hotel. The duck presentation is a fun event and the rooms are cozy and clean. The location is ideal for anything you may want to do in downtown Memphis. We walked everywhere because it was close to everything. If I stayed for multiple nights, I'd probably look for something a little less costly but for one night I don't think you can find a better package.

Pretty cool hotel. The best thing is that it has a central fountain here that has real Ducks they are treated like royal guest. They are walked in everyday to the fountain. The hotel is also beautiful from the inside. Very unique and special make it something to see if you got some time to spare in Memphis.

Didn't stay here, but walked with historic building, and enjoyed the fantastic views from the rooftop. Very peaceful and relaxing. The local streets were questionable with bars on some of the stores. Though downtown Memphis isn't known for it's low crime, great place to raise a family rate and A+ schools.

We stopped in for a Saturday afternoon drink. The hotel lobby is very elegant with lots glass and wood detailing. The main attraction is the large marble fountain with 5 live ducks swimming in it. The ducks can be quite feisty and are wonderful entertainment while sitting at the bar or in the lobby area for a drink. There was a good selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks and the bartenders were very friendly. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Took the family by to see the famous Peabody Ducks! It's a great event that happens twice a day in the main lobby. The area is packed with guests and tourists so get there early to grab a great spot. Kids can sit next to the red carpet which is a nice gesture from the hotel. It's a beautiful hotel and next time we're in Memphis, we might book a room.

I stay 10 nights in this wonderful hotel. Their service is incomparable. It has a lot of history and if you go to memphis and not visit the peabody and graceland then were never.

When you come from Europe, you are impressed by this grand hotel. It's an institution in Memphis. The Ducks ' bath is a long tradition.

The Peabody is a beautiful hotel. It was lovely to catch a view of the city and also lively at night nearly every night. I was only there one night for work but the service was good and everything met my expectations or exceeded. I would stay there again.

When we arrived at the Peabody (after check-in), we were told our rooms would not be ready for a little while due to a mass checkout that happened earlier. The front desk was able to take some money off of our bill and then we got upgraded to a suite at no charge! Talk about service! The room was really nice and clean. I would go back for sure.

Very nice hotel. The ducks were fun to see. We were put next to some noisy children and the front desk offered to send security or move us. We decided to move and the rest of the stay was very peaceful. We would come back.

Disappointed. Room was not ready at 5pm. We have them a call phone number to text when the room was ready, never received the text. We reserved a King bed and received a full or queen sized. When asked about this issue we were told reservations are subject to change and that they would send up a complimentary $8.50 desert. Tool 2 phone calls to have the desert sent up. You are far better off at a holiday inn express or the westin. Incredibly disappointing…

The Peabody is an absolutely exquisite hotel in Memphis. The highlight is of course seeing the ducks march on the red carpet. It's conventionally located in downtown Memphis, close to Beale Street and the stadium. The staff members and managers are welcoming and kind. This hotel exemplifies Southern hospitality.

A great choice for a pre-game cocktail. We tried three different ones and they were all fantastic. A bit pricey, but always wonderful.

We only stopped at the Peabody to see the ducks. The hotel is very impressive. The staff in the lobby were friendly and helpful. After viewing the ducks in the fountain and posing for some photos, they informed us we could take an elevator to the roof to see the ducks' rooftop penthouse. Well worth the stop.

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. It's history and traditions are rich. The layout of the rooms and building are traditional and well kept. Upon our arrival we did not receive any warm welcome. We had called ahead driving all the way from Texas to let them know it was our anniversary and we would be late. They did not care. I don't know if it's because I cashed my reward points on this place (I earned myself a free night because I travel a lot) or if they just can't compare to real 5 star service I've received so many other places. I'm not sure but both the evening staff and late night staff were a bit stand offish. Even room service was a bit estranged. Fine. I suppose I don't mind, but positive, helpful, welcoming did not describe a single staff I met. When we entered the room, we noticed right away the door didn't quite shut all the way. We noticed this all along our hall way. A slight slip of a key card would get most people into any room. The stocked robes had ambiguous looking stains on them. So did the towels. The toilet itself had a disgusting looking red stain on the seat. We decided it wasn't as clean as it appeared so we wore full clothes to bed. There was no comforter on the bed, the chandelier was missing a few pieces, and the building itself was very noisy all night.

We arrived about 45 minutes after check in time but our room was not quite ready. However, it was almost time for the ducks to march upstairs for the evening so we hung around the lobby to watch that. By the time the ducks were gone well got a text that our room was ready, which was very convenient! The room was nice and clean and we were not disturbed by any noise from other rooms or from the outside. The only thing that would have made our room better would have been a small refrigerator to place my leftovers from the Rendezvous! The atmosphere in the lobby was so nice and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Fun, ecentric rooftop bar. Good vibes, great atmosphere. Live band was on point, but just not my style. Anybody visiting Memphis, definitely recommend hitting this swanky joint up.

The room was spotless and the service was top notch. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooms aren't big if that's what you're looking for but they are very very well maintained and it was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The location and history make it incredibly interesting and give plenty to do if you don't have other plans. All in all I highly recommend staying here at least once it's a great experience.

Nice historic hotel that is just not run well. The ducks are very nice and well worth the trip, but the hotel is not run well. When we checked in at 4, our room was not ready. We sat in the lounge next to another guest whose room was not ready. Fairly nice hotel, but it's overpriced and showing its age. Stay across the street and walk over to see the ducks.

We recently moved to Memphis and had heard all these wonderful things about the hotel. A must see place. So we decided to stop in while exploring the areas. It is an amazing game place. We have decided that we want to come stay for a weekend just so we can enjoy the atmosphere, elegance and all it has to offer. Can't wait. It is amazing.

Probably the best choice in central Memphis if you're looking for a 4-Star Hotel. A bit overrun with Tourists just flocking here for that crazy duck parade that's going down at the Peabody every day, but beside that it's a really nice hotel. The bar in the lobby features a surprisingly good selection of international craft beers.

The decor was absolutely gorgeous! We took our children to see the ducks, and there wasn't really enough room, but the people working made site that every kid could fit! Everyone working in the gift shops were so nice and even if a hotel employee walked by you they smiled. I loved this hotel!

The Peabody is a great, historic place in the heart of downtown Memphis. The service was great throughout the hotel and parking garage. The room was well decorated with tasteful purple walls instead of the standard beige or white. We had a king suite and had lots of space. The bathroom is very small compared to many hotels but has a bathtub. The hotel has been updated but the 1970s style furnishings from the last major update are still evident. The price is for the historic aspect and the service rather than the accoutrements but if you have the money to spend, it's a nice place.

We went to the Peabody for a cocktail during the evening to watch the marching of the ducks. An unforgettable experience… and to think I didn't give much thought to mallards beforehand. Each morning the Duck Master marches his flock of ducks down to the lobby for them to occupy the central fountain. In the evening, he organizes an impressive procession of the ducks back up to the elevator. It was an incredible sight to see.

The Peabody is very swanky. Excellent rooms and the whole place is amazing. The ducks are cool. It's also in a great location, very close to excellent venues and live music on Beale Street.

I have traveled all over and stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world and some of the worst but this one ranks below even a motel six. Even though nestled in the south, the hospitality is second to none, but in the wrong way. There is no hospitality and the guests are all treated like criminals and not someone who is paying between 300 and 400 a night to stay with them. Years ago I have stayed at this property a couple times and the experience was great but unlike its competition ; Ritz, Four Seasons and St Regis, they have not learned that no matter how nice your hotel is, if you don't have the right staff or management you can have the worst guest experience you can imagine. So if traveling through or to Memphis TN id say avoid staying at the hotel at all costs. If you have little ones sneak in during the duck walk and amaze the little ones but do not spend your money only to be treated to and talked to like dirt. Then when sent a survey about your stay you fill it out honestly and no one even bothers to contact with the simplest of apologies. I have been in management for years and I know that I could not run a business like they are now. stay away.

Sat down, was ignored, two other groups served first. Had to get staffs attention. Sarfaraz Alam — Acting manager took my order for alcohol, accepted my license, came back and rejected me the drink. Waitress LOAN looked at me after I said excuse me. Then continued to walk away. Wouldn't give me her name. Horrible service. Horrible staff. Horrible management. Will never be returning here.

Bringing my wife here was the best birthday present I ever gave her. She loved the whole experience,. From the valé parking to the dinner at Chez Phillipe to the room on the club floor, she felt like the queen she is the entire time.

I enjoyed my stay here immensely. I loved the fact that I could bring my dog with me. The room and hotel was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely stay again. The only problem I had was that my room was right next to the elevator where the guests would congregate especially late at night or early in the morning so I had to call down to security and request that they remind individuals to be considerate of others that is trying to sleep.

Our first stay at the Peabody Hotel last week was exceptional, the Peabody was EVERYTHING that I expected and MORE. It is in the Top of its Class, beautiful surroundings, and the service was excellent. We had a beautiful suite, clean, and tops again! We will definitely return again and recommend it to our friends and families.

We arrived late after an exhausting road trip and were delighted to find friendly staff and a lovely, exceptionally clean room welcoming us. The hotel is excellent in every way. Our grandson was front row seated as he watched the darling ducks parade to their fountain. We wished we had planned more nights to take the hotel tour and enjoy the wonderful pastries from the deli. Great hotel! Many thanks to all the staff for every courtesy! We will certainly be back to stay here, soon!

Not impressed at all. The lobby is very nice, but so chaotic. The rooms are really small, no refrigerator, and NOT clean. There was hair all over the shower. I am really disappointed and will not be staying here or recommending to others.

Not worth the $$$. You will spend most of your time waiting on the elevator. 25 min wait just to get on elevator. The Sunday brunch is a joke. Not worth 40$ a person. They did not have anything that you couldn't get at Denny's! Very disappointed for the amount of money we spent for the amenities. Bed was comfortable and clean. Walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING on the whole floor. I mean EVERYTHING! Also have to pay for parking. $18 for self parking (then walk to hotel) or 26$ for valet.

I'm going to stay here one day after I see an Grizzlies game next season. This is really fancy looking hotel and I'd love to see how the food taste and see do they employees treat customers with 100% respect and nothing less. :) ) ).

The room had really thin walls and some machine one floor above kept running all night. I didn't get any sleep. And if you're coming from the wrong side finding the parking garage is really difficult. Then horrendous prices for even simple water. I expected much better from a hotel of such class.

This hotel was a very nice establishment besides the multitude of issues with the service. We had a group at the hotel of about 40 people. First off, finding a cockroach in the toilet. Then waking up to one crawling on a girl in our group. That's no 4 star hotel. They then changed rooms and found dry blood on their sheets. That's not even funny honestly. Then getting noise complaint after noise complaint because people were talking too loud. No music whatsoever. They were very rude about it too. We all paid $350 a night and we get that service. Honestly, we should all get refunds because we paid that much per night and got treated like that. This is a miserable "historic" establishment and I will not be recommending it to anybody. Also, on top of $350, parking is $18 a night. Nice hotel I guess, but the service was comparable to a McDonald's drive thru at 6am.

The hotel was very nice, the room was very clean. It has all the charms a historic hotel should have. Unfortunately the only problem was a serious one. We ordered barbecue sandwiches for our first time in Memphis and there was a piece of wire in it. It seemed like something that would have come from an old steel-wire grill brush. We all know accidents can happen. However, we spoke to a woman at the front desk who apologized and took our information so her manager could reach us. It's been two days and we haven't heard from them. Just image if I swallowed it instead of chewing on it. I would post pictures here if I could. It was a little under an inch long spike of steel wire. Scary.

We checked in yesterday at 4:30 to a disgusting room full of used glasses and cups. All of the dirty bedding was on the floor. Clearly the room had not been turned over. The front desk did move us to another equivalent room but we lost an hour using their chronically inadequate elevators. It was a pretty classless start for a hotel that markets and prices itself as a premium hotel. The second room was clean but the TV signal constantly broke up during the NCAA Elite 8 games. Premium hotels do not have trouble with basic services.

We stayed here for a couple nights after our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. Our room was a dream! It was so clean and comfortable! And we loved that we had room service 24 hours a day! Everything is duck themed which just made it so unique! I will definitely stay there again.

Thank you as usual, for the incredible night you put on for my wife and I's anniversary party at your hotel. You've always been and will continue to be the best hotel in Memphis.

What a fantastic hotel! Southern hospitality at its best! The staff were so helpful, friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The rooms are very plush and the bedding is superb. I find this is where most hotels loose points — in the sheets. The Peabody uses 100% cotton with a really high thread count. Room service is delish (and affordable)! The burger is truly one of the best I've ever had. One particular staff deserves an honorable mention : Karah, on the club floor. Every morning she was ready to answer our questions, give us directions, guide us thru our day in Memphis. A wonderful asset to The Peabody. She truly cares about the stay of each of her guests. The Peabody Memphis gets 5 stars in my book.

This place is just magical. And don't forget to watch the ducks.

I've stayed at a lot of 4-star hotels, and The Peabody is the best. Hands down. I booked a killer deal on Priceline for the property and on check-in I upgraded to the club floor. The cost was $80/night for an upgrade to the Club Floor, but it was WELL worth it! The amenities you get on the club floor at the Peabody are several steps above the rest. You get a free continental breakfast, including pastries, muffins, and a combination of crackers, cured meats, and cheeses. There are also several juices available. In the evening, the Peabody serves hors d'oeuvres, which I found to be quite tasty! Before bedtime, you are offered house made cookies (oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, macadamia and white chocolate) and all are fantastic. Also, on the club floor you get nightly turn down service, which offers house made desserts that are a wonderful end to your day. You also receive free valet parking with the club floor upgrade, which is a huge bonus. The hotel is old, so self-parking can be a hassle and valet is recommended. Valet was a great option (included with the upgrade to the Club Floor) and we had our vehicle within 10 minutes of calling for it every time. We interacted with many staff members on the club floor and lobby, every single person was kind and attentive. If you are going to Memphis we seriously recommend the Peabody.

Stayed here in May as a birthday trip. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. We saw inside other rooms which appeared to be quite small compared to ours. We had a suite included with purchasing a Blue Suede Shoe package so we could visit Graceland. Extremely reasonable price for everything that was included. Four days, three nights, a great package to Graceland and a large suite for two for under $1, 000. Rooftop was a great place to hang out. Happy hour up there was a nice surprise. Great view of the river. Restaurant was clean with great food but several greats places to eat within walking distance. Lobby bar service was pretty bad. Bartender too busy chatting so took too long to get too pricey drinks. However, desperately needed antacid one evening when the sundries store was closed and a staff member was nice enough to open it up just so I could purchase that. And some dessert as well. Very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Within walking distance to several well known restaurants and Beale Street where there is always something going on. Horse and carriage rides available right outside hotel. Well worth the trip. Extra to valet park, but you can park in the garage yourself. Only downside is that it is quite a walk to get into the hotel from the garage, but nothing unbearable.

Note: this is a dessert rating. I enjoy the ambiance of the Peabody Hotel and even though I don't stay there, when I visit, I love sitting in the foyer and enjoying the gorgeous design and piano music. This past trip, on two separate nights, we ordered two different desserts. Night 1: key lime pie and a chocolate mousse cake. Night 2: coconut cake and white chocolate charlotte cake (Night 2's dessert from the deli). Tonight, Night 2, I actually couldn't finish the desserts. They were actually terrible. And I'm sure you're thinking, "How can cakes be terrible? " I know, I thought the same thing. But seriously. Even Night 1, forgettable, at best. I'm not sure of how the rest of the food tastes at the Peabody, but I've had my fair share of desserts and can comfortably say: avoid the desserts, any day, any time. You can make a better cake, at home, with a box-cake mix. Seriously.

Good location; Great historical charm; very nice staff; POOR management and TERRIBLY THIN walls in rooms. When my dad and I arrived, the entire reservation system was down. We had to wait several hours before we could check into our room after an entire day of travel. Our key cards stopped working at one point, and we had to get them reprogrammed. Most unforgivable of all: the sound insulation of our room was truly terrible. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallways and in both of the rooms next door to us. I wouldn't expect to be kept awake by a constantly ringing phone in the room next door at a AAA 4 diamond Hotel. Not excusable. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and has a very nice staff. The Westin down the block seems like a nicer hotel.
