Convenient if you need a short stay. Although our room appeared to be freshly painted and somewhat updated on a tight budget, the microwave did not work. I cleaned the sink and mirror that had toothpaste splatter. Thank goodness for disinfect wipes. Have stayed in better for same cost but have also stayed in worse. I would suggest shopping around before you settle here.

We stayed here in March 2018. The price was ok, but it was run down looking. We were just wanting a room for the night, so we could hang out on Beale Street. It seemed fine for that. When we got back, late, pulled the blanket down and found dirty sheets. Went to the front desk, and she said she would move us, but a little late for that. No housekeeping available so we made our own beds. She said she would discount our room, but didn't. Breakfast was cold gravy for the biscuits. Won't stay here again.

TERRIBLE! We literally changed rooms 3 times in one night! The 1st room (room# 250) had no A/C, and wasn’t cleaned. The 2nd room (room# 254) didn’t have A/C either and the refrigerator didn’t work. I asked to speak with the manager and the staff stated he wasn’t on the duty so they emailed him (NEAL) never replied. We tried leaving but all hotels downtown were booked! The 3rd room (room# 118) TV didn’t work and the shower had hair in it, which means it was never cleaned! Upon checking out of the hotel I asked to speak with Neal again and the staff stated “ he wasn’t present, “can I please take your number? I’ll make sure he gives you a call! “… this was 3 days ago and We still haven’t had from Neal! This place should be closed PERMANENTLY! I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy! … Hoping this review will be an eye-opener to anyone that has common sense!

Horrible customer service. I called to ask some questions pertaining to rooms and amount of people who could stay. I informed the gentleman who answered the phone that it would be me, my husband, and my two toddlers. We were inquiring about the King Bed room. He said that we would have to get two queens being we had two children. I told him my kids were toddlers and sleep in my king bed at home and we would just like them to sleep with us. He said no, we would need two queens. Luckily we called another hotel and they allow small children and don't count them as "a person". So luckily I did my research because we would of had to pay upgrade and wouldn't of even used the other bed. I also do not recommend because they still allow smoking at their building. Just not good customer service. Call around before settling with a specific hotel. Not all will treat you bad and want your money.

Rooms were okay. Area doesn't look the best but I never felt uncomfortable about my surroundings. Also super close to downtown.

Clean room, good pricing, clean towels. Very friendly staff, decent breakfast. Overall had a pleasant stay for 3 nights. House keeping was good too. Had decent Wi-Fi and could work from room. Thumbs up!

The card keys don’t work. When I woke up in the morning I found a huge hair ball on the bed by my feet! It was chocking because that proves they don’t change sheets from previous customers. I couldn’t take a shower thinking towels were used as well. The day before they did the room but did not put soap, shampoo, towels. We had to call. I had to leave that place as soon as possible. They offered me a 20% off that I declined! I told the supervisor the 20% won’t change the fact that I was so disgusted! Dirty place.

My family and I checked in to this hotel coming from st louis mo and the from the moment we arrived it was a mess the front desk agent walked out the front door with a lobby full of guest. After waiting for about a hour to get our room another agent walks in nasty attitude and and gave us a room that had not been clean, dirty sheets, and bugs in the tub, Room 2 TV did not work, room 3 no heat at this point my family and I decided to leave and asked for our 80.00 to be refunded, we have tried to contact the mgr neil as well as the owner mr govan several times but never got a return call I even went as far as to contact guest relation and the rep hung up on me 1st telling me I could have stayed at another hotel in which all hotel in downtown Memphis was booked that night. So it took us 2 hours to find another hotel so we also lost our Memphis basketball tickets. This place is horrible so please take your family somewhere else please thank quality hotel our trip was ruined.

The room had an old odor when we arrived and there were still used towels hanging in the shower. Had to call so the shower could be cleaned before we showered. The front desk was helpful after the fact, but they need to NOT have the GO GREEN if the staff isn't going to check behind customers after they've departed.

Best beds ever and the breakfast was insanely good and great variety juice, coffee, cereal, muffins, even waffles that u make urself all around great place 2 stay hada really good stay so we stayed an extra nite!

Will be returning to stay here in the future. Rooms spacious & clean, breakfast fantastic, prompt booking, affordable prices (about $80/night). Little rougher side of town (just FYI, definitely doesn't disqualify it). And a convenient and awesome plus, is that it is located 1.4 miles from Beale Street.

Worst hotel experience ever. Hotel was dirty and in horrible neighborhood. Several of our Uber drivers said that this particular hotel is known for prostitution. A friend of ours stayed the same night as us and they had cockroaches in their room (seriously! ). Our beds were clean but the rest of the room was pretty rough. The TV did not work and the walls were very thin so we heard everything from everyone. There were live wires hanging from our heating unit and the door was badly scuffed up as if someone had tried breaking or kicking it. There was a local group of people outside of our room smoking marijuana all night. I felt very unsafe there and I normally don’t feel that way at any hotel. This was a terrible hotel. Please don’t stay here. We were suppose to stay 3 nights but cancelled after the first night. Do not stay here!

Very clean and comfortable stayed 2 days 2 nights breakfast was decent, staff very helpful! Recommend!

Worst experience I ever had at a hotel. Very unprofessional business I highly recommend don’t ever stay here. When I got checked into my room they put me into a room that wasn’t even ready with no sheets on the bed or towels. Dust in the room, a dead fly on the nightstand, and the tub and toilet had a dirt ring in it. Informed the front desk and they changed my room to one that was ready. If you’re reading this go stay somewhere else ASAP!

This stay was well below worth the price paid. I was initially given a room used as a break room by a maintenance crew who left it less than clean, and even left a power tool battery charging in the room. The shower head piping was coming out of the wall, the toilet lid was dirty, and a bar of soap clogged the toilet. When I approached the staff person on duty she was very helpful and courteous, and allowed me to switch rooms. The second room was clean and ready, but the tile surrounding the toilet was busted up like the toilet was replaced but the tile wasn’t fixed. There was also a large mold spot on the ceiling above the shower head. We chose this hotel because we were visiting family in the hospital and just needed a cheap place to crash. Definitely wished we payed a few dollars more for a better hotel.

The rooms were nice and clean. Everyone was friendly and I enjoy my stay. Our power went out and stayed out for several hrs. We had to leave and come back because we didn't want to be in the dark. Everything was good.

It's a sketchy hotel… as if the crackheads in the bushes weren't a sign… but if you get 1 of the 2 suites over the lobby, they're fabulous. Could have been cleaner… found 2 stiff wash cloths behind the sofa, 1 still on the shower rod. Bed was very comfortable.

Rooms are decent and relatively clean, but not great. Check on staff at 3:30am was really friendly and helpful. Check out staff the next day, a little less so.

It was clean and the front desk staff were friendly and informative. The first night we were there, though, someone was smoking pot near our room. I feel it was probably a guest, and it did not impact the quality of our stay. It's close to the highway and may attract vagrants because of that, but I still felt safe enough.

This is nasty and gross. I stay every week because of work and only because of that would not ever stay there for any other reason. Rooms are always nasty something always missing from rooms towels pillowcase ect. Staff is great but house keeping sucks. Not a family friendly places to stay to many drunks and crack heads around that places. So from one parent to another don't stay at this motel not safe for kids or clean for any one who's has a choice of places to stay.

We had to change room 3 times before they got it right. The first room had a do not disturb sign and the key did not work. The second room had mole on bathroom ceiling and the toilet set came off when I lifted up. The third room was a lot better however we did not have a shower curtain. This was a huge inconvenience and Corey gave us 10% off our stay but I just feel that they do not care about this hotel because a customer should not have to move three times before becoming comfortable. My husband is severally allergic to mole.

This was the single worst experience in a motel ever. The motel staff allowed downstairs guests to party outside until after 3am in the courtyard several nights even after repeated calls to the desk and speaking to them directly. Then there was the fighting and the guys living half in their room and half out of their car with music blaring and pot smoking. This behavior of people here is disgusting. Housekeeping is half-assed at best. Checking out was the best part of staying here. Quality Inn, if you want a better review, make sure your guests get to sleep.

Dirty room. Housekeeping knocked on our door 3 times before 10:30 when checkout is at 11 the first time we ask them nicely to go away that we were not quite ready to leave yet within five minutes they knocked two more times completely rude would not listen I'll never go back to this hotel I'd rather sleep in my car also there was no smoke detector in the room as seen in picture the fire marshal should come through there and write them up this place is unsafe.

BED BUGS! This place was awful. When we first arrived I was told my reservation was not ready and I would have to wait 20 minutes for it. Which is not bad, but after getting key for the room we went to it and found that it had not been cleaned and was trashed. When I went to front desk about it we were kindly given another room. We went and moved our things and turned on the a. C. So it would be cool in our room when we returned. When we returned several hours later the room was hot and muggy with a mildew smell and a majority of the lights would not work. So I went back to the front desk and requested another room. They did not have anymore king rooms so we were forced to take a double queen. We finally got into that room and no sooner than we got in there and settled in, bed bugs and multiple ones were found on both of the beds… So at 1230ish at night I went back to the front desk and was informed that there were no other rooms available and unless we chose to go to another hotel we would be forced to stay there! The hell we would and was forced to find another hotel in the middle of night…

Cons: First room I had the AC didn't work, smelled like marijuana all downstairs. Not the cleanest quality inn, however not the dirtiest either. Pros: Price was great. Extremely close to downtown nightlife. Great staff.

My Husband and I came down from Chicago for the weekend. We looked at a room before we booked anything. The room was a non smoking that smelled of thick smoke and some type of cleaner to cover the smell. The comforter was super dirty on top, it was a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot and hallways. It did not look safe here, I would never bring my children to a place like this. My Husband drove me back around to the main entrance and I politely gave the young lady back tbe room key & told her No Thank You! I'm giving them 1 star just because the young lady at the front desk was really nice. Spend the extra $40 — $50 bucks and go somewhere else. We ended up at the Best Western Gem × around the corner it's very Clean & Comfortable there… This Quality Inn place needs to be gutted & renovated immediately, get rid of that nasty dirty carpet.

Good hotel from the money. Best part about it is that it's a 5 minute ride from Beale st. If you're going to see the city stay here and save the money. Last time I visited memphis I stayed at the Hilton double tree in down town and spent twice as much. Save the money and just get a $5 uber to downtown.

I was part of a motorcycle group on our way home from a cross country musical tour, from IL to Louisiana. We stayed in 7 hotels. One of which was the Quality Inn Downtown Memphis. After a long day on the road in 100 + temperatures, we all look forward to resting up for the next day’s ride. Upon entering the hotel room we discovered the air conditioning was not working for the half of hotel our group was staying in. Our group was large and would be very difficult to book us into another hotel. At 3 am the air was working again. This was a most uncomfortable night. Many did not sleep well. The lack of sleep created a very dangerous riding experience. We had 3 to 4 minor accidents I attribute to the hot weather and the lack of a good night’s sleep. When asked for a discount to compensate for the inconvenience, we were denied. Other than the air conditioner being non — functional, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I feel a hotel should have given us a discount for the inconvenience. I would not go back to this hotel or suggest it to my friends.

The sign out front lacks the word low that should be in front of quality. The bathroom door had a fist sized hole in it, missing shower curtain. Long hairs all over the sheets along with brown stains, and apon further inspection there were bedbugs in the bedding! They refunded our money and we slept in the car. Welcome to memphis. EDIT: the next day I checked my bank account to see if the money had been refunded, and much to my surprise I had 3 charges from quality inn for $106.80. After much hassle to get a hold of a manager, he told me I trashed the room so they charged me for it and he would not refund the $318 I was wrongfully charged. Me and my girlfriend were in the room a maximum of 45 minutes which consisted of taking a shower and getting comfortable in our bedbug infested bed, we did nothing to trash the room. These people are crooks, steer clear of the place.

We paid $130 for a room with 2 beds. Looked more like an $80 room but the tv, fridge, and microwave were new and nice. The room appeared clean until further inspection. Our white comforter had many yellow stains on it but was quickly replaced when we brought attention to it. And our feet turned black from walking on the floor, bring your flip flops! Pool doesn't open for a couple of weeks so didn't get to see or enjoy that aspect. It was very close to Beale St. And Minglewood Hall so that was nice, we even walked back to the room at night with no problems.

Would you like to stay at the "Less than Quality Inn"? My two girlfriends and I took a weekend trip away to Memphis and decided to stay here because we were on a budget. When we got into the room the comforters, under the duvet, had multiple big yellow stains on them. At the vanity near the restroom, 2 out of the 3 lights were out. Hair on the back of the toilet seat. We found multiple different kinds of hair pins on the floor (none which were ours! ) We were really turned off by all of this but decided to just inform the manager to have everything taken care of. He assured us that the comforters would be changed and light bulbs replaced. Later on that afternoon a young lady asked if we needed any service. We explained the situation. She also assured us things would be taken care of. Later that evening, one bed had a clean comforter, the other one, still stained. Light bulbs never got replaced. We figured we would just go with limited lighting. When we noticed that hair pins were still on the floor after day 3, we realized that they don't clean the floors. The bathroom or vanity was never cleaned either or straightened. It was really frustrating to be paying for what they say is "Quality" and receiving less than that! I highly DO NOT recommend staying here.

There was blood on the bathroom wall. Drops in the bathtub and a few drops on the floor. Left at 11pm because of how disgusted we were. We complained and did not get our money back for that night we left. Wish I could post the pictures on here.

Stayed here awhile back and I was disgusted by the way they treat their employees and guests. I work in the hospitality industry and if I treated the guests the way they did I would be fired. Rooms stink and they have bed bugs and roaches. Old dirty disgusting mattresses. Used pillows. Everything's cheap. Our TV went out because it was "refurbished " and we got an old box tv. Wi-Fi is bad. Won't ever stay here again.

One of tha beds was broke down on one end and they had roaches, not Lil babies, tha big ones! Ughh but when they moved us it was a much better stay!

A little worn down looking but the room was clean and the service friendly. Internet is slower than dial-up and the TV signal comes in very fuzzy, there's maybe 4 channels in HD. Right off the highway and very accessible to downtown if you have a car. Overall impression is lukewarm.

I wish I could select zero stars! Stayed there this past weekend as my 16 year old daughter had an audition for The Voice. The room wasn't too dirty but could use better housekeeping! There is prostitution going on in the hotel and they aren't quiet about it. Didn't get much sleep at all the to the banging, doors slamming and yelling going on outside the hotel and in the joinging rooms. I will not be staying there again! EVER!

The room wreaked of Marijuana upon check in. The clerk wanted to up charge me $10 to change rooms. I left my Nike Fuel Band in the room. Upon returning the next morning at 6:30 am, I noticed that the male white clerk had my band on his fat arm It barely fit around his wrist. By the way, they are custom fitted when you purchase them. It also synced with my Galaxy S 5 and Gear Watch as soon as I entered the lobby. They are thieves! do not stay here! hookers and weed heads!
