Absolutely horrible service. The room was paid in full using booking. Com. After traveling all day yesterday, arrived to check in a bit before midnight. The hotel refused to use another credit card for incidentals. The hotel wanted the credit card that was used through booking. Com and the iD emailed. Explained that it was not safe, nor should the hotel want this information in an email that was not encrypted. The clerk said he would have to talk to his manager today. Called Best Western reservation, which called the hotel and again was told would have to talk to the manager as Best Western allows two separate cards to used, one for payment of room and one for Incidentals. But obviously not this hotel. Again, the room had been paid for in full and was shown it was paid for via booking. Com. This was not a reservation, but paid in full. So, after back and forth and now it is well after 1 am and the hotel refusing to use another card, not able to get a refund until booking. Com speaks with a manger (now it has almost been 24 hours and no call back from manager), two young women didn’t have a room and had to sleep in their car! Complete absurd. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and multiple times have used two separate cards. I want to reiterate again, room paid in full, two young women slept in car and still no refund, for a room that was never used.

$89 dollars a night and hotel staff would do nothing about the noise! 11 pm at night and people having a party out back of hotel and people coming in and out banging doors and no respect for people trying to sleep and hotel staff would not do anything about it! Lady at front desk said she couldn’t hear anything and did nothing! I booked for 3 nights and this was the second night not being able to sleep due to the noise, seriously thought about driving down the street and sleeping in my rental car so I could sleep! I will never stay here again and recommend no else does if you care about getting rest!

We will never stay here again. AC does not cool the room! Fridge makes horrible ringing noise. Guest service very rude. I'm laying here trying to sleep and can hear everything around me. Rooms aren't cleaned well at all and we paid an extra 30 dollars to check in at 12. Had our room switched because housekeeping never cleaned it and it smelled awful. Beds aren't even a full size they are too small. I'd rather sleep in my truck.

My husband and I checked in and I tried to take a shower, but there was no pressure. We called the desk and was told that it was probably because the Lacrosse team checked in and they were all taking a shower at the same time. We explained that we would need to go to another hotel that had working showers and that we would like to be refunded for the inconvenience. They said that there wasn’t anything they could do.

Bed Bugs Beware! Friend had horrible experience and staff didnt care. Was hard to get a hold of management!

Careful! Active bed bug infestation right now! They moved us in 312. Then tried putting us in 314 and then 219. All have them! I have tons of pictures. General manager said I didn’t take them there. Thankful for the location and time on my phone I’ll prove otherwise. Refusing to give my money back. We are evacuated from Dorian. With small children. One with special needs. Husband is military. So nice of them.

Absolutely a place to stay. They are dog friendly and breakfast was better than most places. Will stay here again!

Staff was very friendly. Room was exceptionally clean. The location was easy to get in and out of from the street. I will be returning to the area again and this will be my hotel of choice.

This hotel experience was great until I left the lobby. As soon as we entered the elevator we realize that there was no air conditioning in the elevator. The temperature was close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, enough to make me want to pass out. Upon arriving at the third floor I realize that there was no AC in the hallway and the hallway also felt like 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Fortunate when we opened the door to our room the AC was running and we entered. Upon entry the first thing we realized is that there is a sink next to the king size bed. Off of the sink is a door and behind the door is a commode and a stand up shower. This setup makes it impossible for someone to wake up and start getting ready while the other person sleeps because the need and sink are only a few feet apart. To make matters worse, room 305 had a major problem with the shower. Whenever the water ran it literally left the shower and ran out onto the floor near the toilet. Additionally the drain was about an inch higher than the left back corner so the water pooled up in the shower and you stood in a puddle of dirty water until the water was high enough to reach the drain. When we told the front desk the problem they said that they were aware that there was an issue in that room and they would do something about it. Ironically there was a line of people waiting to complain about their rooms so when it got to be my turn I kind of felt sad for them. Just not sad enough to stay here again.

The front desk person was friendly and fast! Our room was clean and fresh smelling. Good black out curtains! Good breakfast!

Bad managrment. Our flight was changed and we canceled the room 24 hours in advance. We were charged the full rate. Why even stay at this brand when there is a Hampton Inn 2 blocks away. Smells better at the Hampton Inn. My family or my business will never use this brand again. How cooperate can allow such is a crime. This hotel is NEVER sold out. What a cheesy way to make s buck.

Last year it was a great place to stay, but for some reason this year sucked! The rooms are NOT thoroughly cleaned, specifically the top blanket and throw pillow, mine was dirty and smelly. The shower handle was broken, appeared to have a patch of quick fix putty around it. Management isn't to concern with maintaining this hotel, so things aren't repaired properly. I see this location gradually going down. Will not stay here again, nor recommend.

Nice room, very clean, beds & pillows comfy. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. There was no hair dryer in bathroom, called front desk and had one in less than five minutes. Wi-Fi and internet work well with no issues. Breakfast was good. The only problem was the noise. We were on the first floor and whoever was above us must have been jumping rope or something like that, several times. Also in the room next to us there was a child who was extremely loud and very unhappy, for at least two hours. Maybe the walls need more soundproofing.

Best Western is NOT the Best. Terrible experience. We reserved online through a third party and everything went well until we got there. We had read good reviews on this hotel and the staff, but we were very disappointed. We checked in pretty late and the lady at the front desk, Hope, was very kind. Lobby smelled good (because of air refreshener) when we walked in but when we went up to our room on third floor when we got out of the elevator we were struck with a moldy, mildew smell in the hallway and a very humid environment. When we got to the room and opened the door, more of the smell and worse. Thinking the smell was because of the AC we quickly turned it off but we soon discovered actuall mood on the ironing board inside the closet. Also touching the bedding we were shocked to find it was MOIST and HUMID! When we returned to the lobby they directed us to another room but when we saw this one it was also very humid and the bedding was moist. Returning one more time to the lobby we met Rhonda whom we had read great reviews on her kindness and politeness. She was polite with us when we told her we were leaving and wanted a refund but she was NOT kind at all, not as they had written in the reviews. On the other hand Hope went and inspected the room and came back down and told us she saw it and was also very disappointed and that she had communicated it to her boss.

Considering we set off the fire alarm from my husband being dumb the staff were super friendly. We stayed a week when we were moving. Had dogs with us and the staff were so nice to them. Would stay here again.

Great Location to the surrounding area. Short distance to restaraunts. Great Breakfast. Showers had good water pressure. Would definitely recommend.

Simply amazing! Rooms are incredibly clean, the lobby is classy, the front desk staff is extremely helpful and pleasant, breakfast and amenities are 2nd to none for the price! Highly recommend if in the area.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We had over 20 rooms booked for my destination wedding in South Carolina. We were there from Tuesday and checked out Friday and on the following Sunday, we were overcharged by $3000 to our bank account! Which of been ruined our honeymoon because it took them over five days to return our money back into our account. They had a credit card on the wrong people’s accounts, had all personal information on the wrong account, on all of our repeat we had people with personal information that we did not know on our receipt like addresses phone numbers and credit card information. They screwed up everyone’s reservation and did absolutely nothing to help fix it. They refunded everyone next day there on accident and then had to re-charge them and overcharged me the amount of everyone staying there and then took five days to refund it. They never offered any compensation or even an apology for doing so. They never tried to even make it right they didn’t come up any room for the hassle or all the mistake. They did absolutely nothing but make my once-in-a-lifetime wedding weekend and honeymoon miserable and stressful. They are so dumb how overbooked and did not have a room for the mother of the groom even know she had been booked months in advance. And then all of a sudden “found “a room but tried to charge her over double the price of our block rate. She then had someone else’s credit card information on her hotel room.

I booked this hotel a week prior to getting there. 4days prior the other much nicer hotel down the road had openings for all the nights that I needed. I tried to cancel my room 4 days prior and Mike Patel, the owner refused to allow me to cancel. We just checked in and there is no one here. No wonder he wouldn’t let me cancel because no one is staying here and he has to force me to even though the rest of my party is at the other hotel that I stayed at the last 2 nights. It is also a very “cold” and unfriendly place. What a mistake it was to book this place. Never again!

First day was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and orderly room. We had an issue because we booked online, But they gave us the room even though it was not a pet room. There is a nice free breakfast, a work out room, computers to use. So far it is more than we expected.

I was recently a guess at the Best Western in Travelers Rest SC… Upon entering my room from attending Senior night with my daughter and her Basketball game, we returned to the room for the evening. My Daughter saw a bed if on the bedspread. The front desk attendant was called and notified that it was a dead bedbug laying on the spread. The attendant was asked to come to the room to observe the bedbug on the bedspread. The attendant entered into my room looked at the bedbug and stated. "We do not have bedbugs in our hotels. " Needless to say, my Daughter and took pictures as well as the attendant. I asked for the Manager and ask to move to another room in. The attendant was asked multiple times by me to speak to the Manager. To no avail. The BBB was notified along with the picture. Guess be careful. All Hotels are known to have Bedbugs contrary to what the attendant said. delores.

Worst staff I have ever dealt with. Arrived at the appointed time to check in per my reservation. Attendant said I’d have to wait an hour for a room to be cleaned. Middle of the week and there is NOBODY lined up trying to get into this place and I have to be at a Funeral at 1:00 hence my “special request” for a check in time of 12:30. After finishing flirting with either the manager, or maintenance worker or owner of the hole, the little girl behind the desk finally made room for me and told me I’d have to wait… BUT if I paid 30 dollars I could get a room ‘right now’. Sure whatever I needed to ready for my Father-in-Law’s funeral, Thanks for helping to make this as easy as possible Best Western. As if it weren’t bad enough, in my wife’s emotional distress she left her purse at the funeral home and we were told we’d have to wait till 12-1 to be able to get it, so naturally we ask the desk supervisor if they could extend our checkout due to extenuating circumstances… apparently 30 bucks gets you a lot in this world… I’m not sure if this 30 dollar thing is a Franchise Wide policy, or if they are just pocketing the money, but I’m pretty sure I know which it is. Lying doesn’t get you far, and being greedy doesn’t get you rich. If you continue skimming 30 bucks off of your customers for ‘customer service’ that should be expected, it’s going to cost you in the long run. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Good enough for this price (less than $100 a night). Clean room with modern design. The room is definitely not too spacial and can hear others, but is worth the price.

The manager here was unwilling to moved my sister and I to the ONLY family size room they have here after her front desk employee made a mistake and told us there were more beds in the room she booked us than there really were. They knew we were staying with 5 children and 2 adults and they made the mistake and booked us in a room that could sleep 4 people max and that is 2 to a bed. No couch in the room either. Plus when we asked for a roll away cot she told us no that it would be a fire hazard! Her reasoning for not allowing us to have the family size room… She thought the bath tub may need some recaulking! Terrible service, overly expensive rates and the breakfast is not a breakfast. Plus the workers working at all hours and walking around in daylight in the parking lot drinking beer and falling over drunk smashing their beer bottles on the ground is a major turn off!

Best Western is a really friendly and not too expensive hotel. The breakfast is good. I recommend the waffle. There can be some loud other individuals but overall it is a good hotel.

I will not return to this hotel. In our reservation we requested a quiet room on a quiet floor not next to the elevator. They put us next to the elevator on an open balcony that gets all the lobby noise. They wouldn't move us when we requested. I asked if we could have extended check out and was told yes for a $30 additional fee. Our room smelled musty and dank and the lavatory sink barely drained. The shower even with door firmly closed leaked a lot of water on the floor. And to top it all off, this morning in the breakfast buffet I saw a spider moving around the food containers. I'll not be back here.

We stayed here, from Florida, seeking refuge from Irma and were treated SO great! The staff was extremely accommodating and very nice! The rooms are super nice and the breakfast every morning was AWESOME! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're lucky enough to visit the beautiful town of Travelers Rest!

Lovely little hotel with lots of touches that you wouldn't expect for a moderate price. An outdoor fire-pit, a nicely designed outdoor pool, a surprisingly well-equipped fitness room, and a great continental breakfast are some of the reasons to ignore the shortcomings. The rooms are small and a recent remodeling was botched in the bathroom. The shower was a little cramped and the stall walls were poorly chalked so that mildew is ever-present near the bottom and the door was difficult to close properly resulting in a very wet bathroom floor. However, the rooms were otherwise very clean, and the bed was wonderful! The included breakfast featured an assortment of fresh fruit and juices, a variety of mini-muffins, and some hot and cold cereal options. The surprise was the fresh scrambled eggs, hot sausage, and a machine that dispensed waffle mix to pour into the available easy-to-operate waffle maker. I made a waffle for the first time (proving that anyone can do it) and the result was an unbelievably good Belgian waffle. The attendant kept everything filled, replenishing the sausages and eggs several times while I was there and even getting me a banana to take on my hike after breakfast had officially ended. She was typical of the staff and while the motel owners weren't really rude, but they almost appeared so next to the excellent people who work for them.

Very friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, amazing free breakfast, clean pool and all for a great price! What else can you ask for. Love love love this place.

The Best Western in Travelers Rest is awesome! Initially, we were a bit concerned with the price, (we hadn't stayed in a hotel in quite a few years), but are SO glad we chose to stay here for two nights. Sommer sought me out to be sure we were satisfied with our stay because she realized our concerns about the price when we checked in and was very patient and kind to us. She is a true gem and I hope Best Western Travelers Rest realize what an asset she is to the company. She is friendly, knowledgeable, upbeat, and efficient. Everything here is sparkling clean, the breakfast was excellent, the pool was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. All in all, a wonderful experience and well worth the price!

Charlie at the front desk was fantastic to us. Rooms are clean and look new. Kids loved the pool on a HOT day. Breakfast is WAY better than most! A1!

Nice interior and good breakfast but if you enjoy sleeping or being treated with respect by staff then don't stay here. We were woken up almost every night by the noisiness they allowed to go on and one of the nights the noise was unlike anything I've heard at a hotel… When we complained at 3am after 20 plus teenage kids ran the halls banging on doors and being out of control, Sommer, the front desk girl had the nerve to tell us "No they are not being loud. " Not even an apology. She and another girl were extremely rude and then lied about it the next day when I spoke to the owner. The owner was completely passive about the noise and his rude staff. All he did was make excuses and interrupt me as I tried to speak. The other girl threatened to call the police on me for no reason when I was speaking to the owner. I didn't use one cuss word or raise my voice at all. After seeing some other reviews on trip advisor it seems it's not the first time she has done this. They should spend some time teaching their staff customer service instead of making it just look nice. But then again the owner himself doesn't understand it either so I'm not surprised. Not impressed by the cleanliness either. Very disappointed in our stay and I would never advise anyone else to stay here.

Staying in a block reserved for my best friend's wedding. Up driving 10+ hours all night and when I get there I'm told if I want to check in early I have to pay for an extra half of a day. Seriously? I was hoping to just check in at noon instead of 3pm and you want to charge me an extra half of a day?! On top of my brother and his family and about 25 other rooms booked for th the next 4 days? Wow. I'll never book there again, or any other Best western for that matter.

We thought the remodel was great! Staff was very friendly & helpful! Curtains do close they are on inside that you pull shut as we thought they didn't close at first. Brought our 2 small dogs, they loved it & staff great with them! Just don't care for a see through shower door. I will be staying here when I come back!

Not good at all! spent almost twice as much as I have before in this same hotel curtains in room would not close and there was a led street lamp right in my window did not sleep a bit I tell person at desk on way out and go a oh. Ok after all that they charged me extra 35 dollars after I checked out saying I smoked in room! I dont even smoke maybe maid trying to cover their ass will never stay again!
