I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here it had a lot more than I thought it would. Our room had a kitchenette with a full size fridge and to my surprise you can also sign out a blender or a Crock-Pot the even have movies you can sign out. On top of all this there's also a swimming pool even though we didn't have time to swim. And it's located right next to a pub which is convenient if you don't want to drive.

We stayed for one night while moving from Virginia to Florida. There were four adults and we got a one bedroom suite. We also had a 11 month old Labrador retriever. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has board games and other things that are allowed to be Checked out for the night. The only thing we didn't like was the matress on the pull out couch was very thin and uncomfortable.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. The staff were great, rooms very comfortable. We could have eaten all of our meals in our suite. Like an efficiency apartment.

Great place to stay. Only issue we had was one of our crew had a messed up shower (no pressure). Other than that, the staff and facilities were very good.

This place is an awesome place for a quick weekend getaway.

Enjoyed my stay, will definitely keep this place in mind for my next weekend trip to bluffton. Only thing I wish they had was blackout curtains…

Nice, clean place. Kind of surprised that maid service is weekly. But otherwise a good stay.

Was originally scheduled with Red Roof Inn but they don't allow more then one pet per room. After driving 20hrs and was told no by the place I had reservations with. I called candlelit suites who was very accommodating and cheaper in price then Red Roof. The rooms are huge and have a nice kitchen that you won't find with most Hotels. Free laundry onsite.

A bit worn, but good value and location.

Unfortunately, my husband's wedding ring was removed (stolen) from the kitchenette counter in the room we stayed in by either the housekeeping staff or the subsequent guest. Because of the circumstances, it was most likely the housekeeping staff and management did nothing. I would recommend steering clear of this place if you want to keep your valuables. There are plenty of other options in the area with better reputations.

I did not enjoy my stay here at all. There are many rough-looking workers that stay here. I went outside to smoke a cigarette and a man in the car started bothering me to the point I had to go back in. I did not feel safe here at all.

They are very friendly here and make you feel welcome. When you come back in they know your name and welcome you home. Washer and dryers are free to use.

I'm a big critic on beds when it comes to hotels. My bed was beyond worn out. Had defined worn places where people had laid over the years. Also, not to mention, the disgusting brown tint the sheets had. And to top it off, had a hair in the bed, noticed first thing. Work late and the last thing I want to go to is a crappy hotel. And that is exactly what happened here. Very noisy people next door. Not a great first experience at candlewood. Will NOT be staying again.

I made a phone reservation for this hotel because they accepted dogs. Although I thought I'd asked what the extra cost of the dog was (I thought it was $10. ), I later realized that I had called several places and possibly I didn't. When I got to the Candlewood I found out the cost was $75.! I've never paid this much extra nor would I have booked the reservation knowing that. I know that the reservationist DID NOT tell me the cost which I definitely think should be a normal part of the booking. Yes, I have a responsibility to ask but so does he/she to tell. Of course, it was late in the day when we arrived and we stayed there. Although the room was clean the halls were very dirty-I'm sure they could not have been vacuumed that day or possibility not even the day before. I think charging $25. And a $50. Refundable damage deposit would be fine-they could check the room before someone leaves to see if the dog caused damage. Our dog is well trained and for an overnight stay with a good dog, this was way out of line.

I have to say that this hotel exceed my expectations. Rhonda at the front desk was so sweet and caring. She made us feel like home. We came to SC for our daughters Marines boot camp graduation. The staff was very caring and nice. We used the laundry facility and the little kitchen they have in the room. They have everything you need, beds were comfy and bathrooms clean. So I highly recommend this place.

Nice and clean, didnt get the extra towels I asked for before arriving however. Pool was nice. Prices were good and would stay again.

Great experience at this Hotel! Very clean, comfy beds and the ENTIRE staff was super friendly. My family and I definitely enjoyed our stay. We will return.

Great location for our visit. Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the shower was awesome. They have full refrigerators and microwaves in each room, so there is no breakfast offered. The only real complaint is that they don't turn on the ice maker in the fridge before your arrival so you have to wait quite awhile before getting any significant amount of ice. If you aren't one for ice water or cocktails this isn't am issue.

Very nice room and pretty decent price for what is available. There is a bar within walking distance with reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel stay was just fine. Loved having the kitchenette available. Staff was very accommodating. Having the games available in the lobby area to borrow work so well.

My family and I stayed 7 days at Candlewood in 2013 and loved it! Nice clean hotel, free laundry and coffee! We are planning to revisit again next year (2017), can't wait! Can do without the 15 hr drive from Detroit though! Lol. It's a fun trip regardless.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Very clean rooms & very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again when passing through to Florida.

Fantastic hotel! Lending cabinet is great! The gym was "okay" nothing fantastic, free laundry was great! The pool and deck outside is great and you can grill!

No complaints minus the Wi-Fi and cell service.

The hotel was clean and well appointed, with polite and friendly staff. I enjoyed having a free laundry and gym onsite, and the Wi-Fi speed was acceptable. No bugs, clean rooms, can't ask for much more than that. I stayed a total of 5 nights.

Great value, room are spotless, staff is friendly, and great location. You can't beat the value this property serves up.

Stayed there for marine Corp graduation. This place is the BEST hands down! I am like a walking commercial for them now, I am that impressed. We then stayed at the one in North Carolina for the graduation at camp Lejeune. Again. … very impressed.

We arrived for our sisters Marine Corps graduation and they had an itinerary and list of directions ready for us with our check in. Staff was very friendly. Only thing was our tub was clogged but they had it fixed the very same day. But other than that our stay was very enjoyable.

If it wasn't for Rhonda :) and Dana the morning front desk agent. I would have left and given them 1 star! That's because the tub and the kitchen stove was not clean and house keeping act like you're bothering me.

We had a late check in and got one of the few remaining rooms, which happened to be a smoking room. Regardless, it was still clean and nice. We would have preferred to stay somewhere with breakfast, but were too tired to keep looking. Lots of room to stretch out! We would stay again and got a good night's rest.

Convenently located, with ready access to US278, this extended-stay hotel has worked well for my wife and me during our trips to visit and care for her father. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Each unit has a kitchen with refrigerator, cooktop, and microwave, and there is an on-site laundry room (with no-additional-charge washers and dryers), as well as a fitness room containing a decent assortment of workout machines. We've had the usual minor complaints, ranging from inconsiderate guests not returning luggage carts to staff members parking in the spots nearest the doors, but notifying the manager seems to make a difference. All in all, though, the place offers a comfortable stay at a decent rate; we'll be back.
