Bed bugs, dirty rooms, disorganized staff. This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for a supposed vacation. Never will iake the mistake of coming to this place again. Still waiting on them to reimburse me for the expenses caused by their bed bug infestation.

Loved my room and the staff were very nice, helpful and informative at the front desk-Renée, Josh and Jeanette and they're very personable by knowing their owners.

Was in town for the Myrtle Beach Half Marathon, for a quick two night stay. Our first time staying here, as we wanted to be close to the finish line. Very accommodating hotel. Not many amenities. However, the Pier 14 view right off of my balcony, was a nice view. Pools were nice and clean and the temperature was perfect to swim in. Overall great friendly staff and a very nice clean hotel.

Great hotel experience. Clean rooms, friendly staff, quick check out, and quick return on the no smoking fee hold. Will return.

I've always stayed in Kingston Plantation and my boyfriend wanted me to stay on the south. I had not a clue where to start. I've read so many reviews until I didnt want to go. I ran across the Yachtsman and saw it had 2 star rating so I passed over it but it stayed in my mind. I looked at several other places but the price was too high. I spoke with Joshua at the Yachtsman and I tell you he comforted my fears and the room we had (1002) was great! It was clean, awesome view, comfortable bed, and close to everything! We had a great time!

Not a bad price, view is amazing. It's a great place for a night away from the house with my wife.

We own at this location in Myrtle Beach, over 30 years. Rip Tide, a sports, bar and grill, opened 5 months ago next door to the Yachtsman Timeshare Resort. Nice. We will return for another meal next year, if not sooner.

Dirty… I would say it is not that great, because the elevator is dirty and the rooms look creepy. If you want to impress a girl this isn't the place.

Great location, every room has a beach-facing balcony, pools, right in the beach. They have activities throughout the week to have fun and win money to use in their gift shop.

We stayed here because it was cheap and on the beach. Unfortunately there are no real ocean balconies, only windows. Condos are full of smokers on balconies, hallway elevator etc. Our room smelled like smoke. Room was very dated 1980s looking but was clean and the staff nice. Not great at all but if u want a cheap room on the beach it's a good option.

Here this week with my mother for a getaway. First thing, the main office is slightly secluded in the south building so that was hard to find. The room we got is in the north tower. It's a loft/studio style. The room has a closed bathroom but the rest is open (like a studio, duh). Awesome things are that it had a fully stocked kitchen, yeah some stuff might be a little dated but the look and the flat screen tv's are more than enough for the low price you get for oceanfront on the beach! Yes, the balconies are about a foot wide. Which is the downside to having a balcony. But, all the rooms have it the same, at least in this north building. I found out the reason why… they actually expanded the rooms out onto the balcony giving the rooms more space. So in point, they were not originally like this, but they kind of make up for it with the great big balcony doors and the bed is right beside it so you get to sleep and wake up with the ocean next to you! Totally a plus to me! Literally about 3 blocks from the strip (bunch of stores/attractions along Ocean isle blvd) and the pier 14 and boardwalk are right beside us to the south. Also, our beach access is connected to the boardwalk so it's really convenient. Yes, there is construction going on to the north side of us but the nice isn't that bad, I barely notice it. And it's actually nice because since there is no building there yet there are less ppl on the actual beach in front! So it's a "win" in my opinion.

Rooms are a bit dated, but still clean and well kept. The closeness to sites and the beach itself are awesome. Definitely gonna be back.

Is a nice place to stay, location is perfect close to most everything, our layout of our room was odd but still very nice. Staff was great.

Worst stay of my life. The room said one price online and was double that when I get there. Had to pay a huge deposite that STILL hasn't posted back to my card. You gotta walk 2 blocks to. Your car (if there is a park in the deck) the balcony isn't a balcony. In my room the Jets in the tub didn't work the AC or heat didn't work, there was a stain on the sheets I had to change myself. Half the lights didn't work, I had to use wet towels the whole weekend because the maid never came. I would rather stay in a campground. I will NEVER again even walk into this place much less sleep there. Oh and don't let me forget that the employees are terrible.
