Suites at the Beach Apartment

May not be 5 stars to everyone because it isn't modernized, but it was exactly what we needed. Unbeatable price, room was clean and very homey feeling. Balcony is big compared to most other places. Front desk was very polite upon check-in, and it was a very fast and easy. Pool and hot tub areas were clean. Loved all the beautiful flowers that were planted around to give it even more appeal. We absolutely loved this place, and this will be our go to resort from here on out. Thank you!

If I could put a zero I would. Family and I booked a room 6 months in advance. We get to the room, the carpets are filthy, I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. There was mold everywhere, there was toilet paper stuffed into holes in the wall. When you flushed the toilet it squealed for 5 minutes. The ceiling was caving in in the kitchen. The only nice thing was the view but you could even open the sliding door to go outside and look because it was coming off the tracks. We went back to the desk instantly to Ask what they could do for us and they said they only had one room left and with only one bed. It was just as filthy as the first room. We wanted a refund but they kept the deposit because we stepped into the room. I would never recommend someone to come here. Also beware if you’re booking with Palms they are partners with “the waves” which is who owned our room. But we weren’t told this while booking.

Ocean views are awesome. Great location along the beach. Very clean and one room accommodated 4 adults and 3 kids. Some things need a little attention but overall it was a blast.

We enjoyed our stay. Liked how it was a little apartment with balcony and very affordable. The staff is very nice. It's an old original hotel. Expect to see some old age on her but it's the coast… the salt ages things. Would stay again and recommend it as well. Your mainly out and about on vacation anyway right? As long as bathrooms and beds are good… then your happy. And clean it was.

We rented directly through the Palms website. The room was terrible. When you first walked in the room on the right wall were 4 holes from where the TV mount used to be. Instead of properly filling in the holes they were filled with tissue/toilet paper. In addition on the same wall the cable junction was hanging out of the wall. No cover plate. The carpet leading into the back room was raised up and frayed in multiple places almost as if a dog/cat had torn it up. There were NO blankets for the beds in the room (had to call the front desk). Although we couldn't call the front desk from the phone in the room because it didn't work. We reported the broken phone to the front desk Friday night and requested that it be replaced/repaired ASAP for safety reasons. When we checked out Sunday morning it still had NOT been repaired. In addition the stove was obviously worn and showing signs of serious wear & tear and should have been replaced. Very disappointed this early in the season that there were so many issues with the room. I can't imagine that there is not some sort of checklist or inspection process. All of these issues were very noticeable and could not have been overlooked. Seems that profits were more important than room appearance and guest safety. These fixes & repairs would not have cost that much money for a handyman.

Overall very nice. We stayed in Tower 2 the south tower room 203. It looked to have been recently remodel. The floor was a vinyl floor which was very nice. I hate carpet at the beach. Everything looked new except the furniture. The housekeeping staff was very nice. The only reason that I did not give it five stars was the bed. The bed was a king, but pasts it's prime.

The house keeping team was wonderful. Rooms were spotless however carpet trims were missing causing tripping hazards or stepping on carpet tack strips. Asked to speak to the g. M as they was 10 ft away and was refused. Customer service truly needs work.

I had a great time here with my family. They have an awesome guy named Brent that took his time and showed me rooms to make sure I was satisfied with my stay. I would absolutely stay here again. Stay away from Beach Colony down on the north end.

So far I love this place. The room is amazing! I had asked for a suite on a lower level because I am not fond of heights and we got the perfect suite! Very clean and comfortable. I have to admit I was nervous with all the poor reviews, but I have not come across an issue yet. I am very happy with Palms Resort, I will defiantly recommend and will be back!

Room was newly remodeled and nice but hotel is very dated. Location is directly on beach but also on top of the road! We had trouble sleeping because of all of the noise from the street. The parking for the hotel was terrible. We we're in a F250 and the parking garage was only 6 foot maybe. Only a few cars could get in the garage. There were 7parking spaces at the hotel itself. 2 of those being unloading spots. They gave us permission to park in one of those but everyone was trying for those because of garage.

The most affordable, beautiful hotel that has graced the Myrtle Beach coast! I visit here each year, the most relaxing place on the east coast. Surrounded by shopping, dining and oceanfront view! I love, love, love this place!

The Palms Resort is older but a decent place The resort is made up of homeowners. You can rent directly from them if an owner does their own or thru the front desk reservations. Some owners live there year round. Getting a room from an owner is the best way to stay. More than likely it has been renovated as a beautiful vacation designed unit. Renting from the front desk is hit or miss usually based on availability. Unless its changed, they are terrible about enforcing non-smoking in rooms. Conditions can vary as well. It was built around 30 years ago like many of MYRTLE BEACH hotels. The hot tub is fabulous and they sport an indoor and outdoor pool. All rooms are ocean view!

The palms is a great Central location close to the airport, boardwalk, Broadway at the beach, outlets, restaurants and more. It is walking distance to many shops and dining options including ice cream and Starbucks. We own a unit and completely remodeled it… My mom loved it so much she just purchased a condo there also and is redoing hers. Rick the building manager is phenomenal and Dee, Wendy, Brent and the team at the front desk are wonderful. Not all condos have been redone but a lot of them have been… So your stay or purchase experience will be specific to the condo you choose. The resort has an outdoor pool and spa, indoor pool and spas, fitness room, laundry room.
