Possibly the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. We booked a room that was supposed to have a sofa and a king bed. It had no sofa as they gave the room away even though we called to let them know when we would arrive. They then refused to give us a cot for my 7 year old daughter saying "we aren't that kind of hotel" The room was filthy the shower was black with mold, there were roaches, and there were blood stains on the wall and spoon burns on the sink from people shooting up. Tiles were falling off the bathroom wall, and the smoke detector was missing entirely.

Room was full of mold couldn't even use the toilet! Room smelled like wet dog & dog hair everywhere. Had we not just driven 10hrs and needed to stop to sleep theirs NO WAY we would have stayed. Totally gross! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Absolutely Disgusting…roaches in the sink, sleep sofa had dirty disgusting sheets! The only reason We stayed was everything else was sold out.
This place is Not Fit for Anyone!

Drug dealers and users approached my children and I right outside our door and would not stop. Room was dirty and stained and patched holes in the walls, pubic hair on the sink and not even a full roll of toilet paper! This place is disgusting! The manager never calls and refuses to refund even though we left and stayed at a different hotel.

Absolutely disgusting. Only reason we stayed is everything was sold out in the area and it was after midnight and the kids needed to rest. Two words NEVER AGAIN!

People are friendly. A busy place. Clean rooms and soft fluffy beds.

TBH it's the best one on that exit pubic hair in the tub, gun shots & drugs is all you gonna get here lol nothing but cereal and for the breakfast.

Great breakfast and confortable bed! The only thing is the room charges. I book via expedia and front desk charge us a $15 pending and a a full room charge. Front desk explained expedia pay the hotel with Amex and they say these charges are pending. I guess I need to wait 7 days to see if this is correct.

Service here is a joke. Even though every other hotel in the U. S. Will at least check to see if your room is ready prior to check-in, the fine folks at Baymont evidently don't abide by such conventions. After waiting 30 minutes in the lobby with no help from any employee, I finally approached a group of employees I spotted outside the main entrance. Perhaps because I had the nerve to interrupt their smoke break, I received the snippy answer that "we have a strict no-check-in-before-3:00" policy. Okay then. I suppose the least you could do is answer one of the two dozen calls I have heard you missing, with no one at the front desk. Will certainly avoid Baymont in the future.

The pictures on Expedia totally make the hotel look nicer that it really was. The front desk manager was completely rude. Said we could not break up payments — half cash half card. Also over heard them tell another guest the could not check out a day early! Room smells like someone smoked in there previously — a little Febreeze goes a long way. Large piles of trash blocking multiple parking spaces during race weekend. Paying $205 a night figured we would get a decent breakfast — nope! Over cooked sausage links stored in a crock pot does not make it a hot breakfast. No eggs and warm milk! Won't be back.

Room was clean & comfy and the Staff was very friendly! I Felt very safe overnight while passing thru town. Added Bonus… there is mall close by if you forgot to pack something — LOL.

Very nice room newly renovated. Nice pool just a little small and no hot tub. It was close to a lot of resteraunts and gas station. Free breakfast but I didn't take advantage of it due to the extremely comfortable king size bed. Really good experience overall.

Our experience at this hotel was not pleasant. Upon entering the room, we noticed the carpet was soaking wet. There was a dehumidifier in the room but it was full and we had to empty it ourselves. Not to mention the musty smell in the room and mold on the walls. Lastly, our sheets appeared and smelled dirty. I would not plan a stay here in the future. On a positive note, breakfast was good.

I only stayed here because I had cats. I couldn't wait to leave. The room was gross. The floor was wet from the AC leaking and it smelled like mildew. The bed was awful. A bunch of people were smoking on the balcony, and the AC sucked in the smell. They charge a deposit of $35 for each extra pillow. It's not even that cheap… You can get a way better please for the same amount.

Enjoyed this hotel. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Everyone was friendly. Bed was comfy even though I am used to sharing a king bed instead of a double but still nice. Door had to be shut hard in order for it to latch well. That was my only issue. We got a 2 room, 2 bath suite that we werent expecting so that was also nice.

Was checked in quickly. Selected pay with cash but they charged my card already the day before I arrived for my stay. Was 67$ for a full bed non smoking in June. Was fairly clean, found a malted milkball under the bed. Sheets smelled a little funky. Breakfast was pretty good, had bacon, eggs, waffles, pastry’s, etc.

Very disappointed… gave me a dirty room with beds not made. They gave me another room but there was hair all over the bathroom floor. Not very clean. They only thing that was good was breakfast buffet. Amazing! Whatever you possibly wanted they had. Thumbs up on that.

Room was clean and hotel was in reasonable repair. Customer service was HORRIBLE. Phone calls were rarely answered, and when they were hold times exceeded 10 minutes. Had to incessantly request towels for the first 2 nights. Be advised that they will hold as much as double your room rate as an “incidental” deposit despite advertising no deposit for renters living more than 50 miles away, and the deposit will be held for up to 5 business days after check out. Staff, including management, was extremely unpleasant about being questioned regarding these hidden deposits. Pool was never open at 10, and the staff was extremely lackadaisical about it. On our final morning, they didn’t start skimming the pool until 10:15, skimmed for 45 minutes as patrons were accumulating outside the pool area, then told everyone that the pool was closed until 12. Not recommended. Would not stay here again.

Overall, great quick stay. Room was nice and clean but slightly humid. Staff was polite and breakfast was great.

Enjoyed my 2 night stay here. The room was clean from top to bottom, the bed was extremely comfortable, the Wi-Fi connection was quick, & the breakfast was pretty good. Overall, a decent, reasonably priced motel.

Room was adequate for a late night stop to rest. Did not feel the safest. But no issues. Would stay again but not with my family. Some room issues but we were only there for a total of 6 hours so I let it go.

Must have ticket for breakfast. If you are not having a waffle, you can not have a large plate! You must use a small plate! Faucet not working correctly in sink. You can find better!

Best hotel in town. I would recommend to everyone especially as it looks like the hotel has new carpet and paint in the rooms. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast has lots of options including scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, and much more. Stay at this hotel when in the area.

I give NO stars for this place. Don’t waste your time or money! After being on the road all day I tried to call ahead and book 2 rooms and was told it was faster to do it upon arrival, so I tried that too but the line was out the door because there was a trainee working the front (which is perfectly fine) but when I questioned the manager about why they were letting the trainer handle everything while she was just sitting in the back and customers are lined out the door she immediately told me that she wasn’t going to answer to me (the customer) and was going to cancel my reservation. Which at this point was perfectly fine with me because I have NEVER been treated this way by anyone and she has NO business being the manager. Just a horrible experience and I highly recommend that you don’t waste your time there,,,, go somewhere else! You will thank me for this advice. P. S. Only gave it 1 star because I had to.

Rooms have a nasty chemical smell that will burn your nostril hairs. Mattresses are worn out. Internet was good speed and there were no bugs. Also the price was dirt cheap. The day manager lied to my face repeatedly claiming they could not give me a late check out because they were sold out and needed to get all the rooms cleaned by 2 pm. When I opened the Wyndham app and checked for available rooms it showed they had plenty available. I showed her that she'd done been caught. Her response was to tell me to get out. LOL She did tell me to have a blessed day so I guess she found the Jesus who loves pathological liars :D Called Wyndham and got it taken care of. Never try to screw over a Diamond Status member.

The staff were very helpful, especially the person who was the night/early morning person. The room was also clean with new carpet! The area was quiet even though the hotel was full. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay again! The location was right off the highway as well.

Newly renovated very nice now previous reviews off par. Loving the updates been a great place to stay after attending a WWE event at the Florence civic center. Do recommend a lot cheaper than most hotels in the area plus it's behind a Cracker Barrel and beside a gas station/Huddle house couldn't be more perfect!

Dirty duvet cover, broken chair arm, hole in bed frame area cat crawled under the bed and we could not get them out, shower curtain was way too long and covered a portion of the bottom of the bathtub. We reserved a room in advance with a king bed and when we got there we were told that they only had double rooms left. Now for the good news, we did sleep well in the double beds, the mattress was very comfortable. The front desk help was also very kind while they could not change the size of the beds they did try to work with us, but were unable to help.

Close enough to I 95 without the road noise. The staff is nice. We booked ahead and asked for a king room. Got the king bed and a nice clean room, but we requested when we got here for the senior discount (which they advertise) and was told nope, not able to give a discount on a internet reservation. We asked if we could have ground floor, since we have our pup with us. Nope, all sold out (at 4 pm). All in all, pretty good hotel for less than 70 bucks a night.

The rooms are okay. We had to ask them to change our room because the bathroom sink was clogged. The water wouldn't go. This hotel is not bad if you just want to sleep for a night. They also offer free breakfast. They should just do maintenance more often in the bathrooms.

Room was acceptable, however housekeeping service was not provided during 2 night stay. When we asked we were told the staff was short and we needed to contact front desk. Bed linen was not acceptable for weather and when we asked for an additional blankets we were told they only had enough for each room.

We stopped Christmas night before heading to DC. I was a little nervous after reading the other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. You could tell it had been recently remodeled. Beds comfortable and clean. Staff was nice and breakfast was better than most free breakfasts I've had. This is an inexpensive hotel perfect for a good nights rest on the road. Would stay again.

Nice property — rooms comfortable. Reservation system is messed up. Didn't get what we reserved. Night clerk had to do a 'work-around' to get us rooms that were suitable. Book carefully. Thanks.

I was a little worried about the mixed reviews, but my room was fine for the price. I only paid around $50 for the night. It was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. I would return to this hotel.

The manager and workers are so unprofessional the customer service is horrible. I got there to check in at almost 4:00 the first room they gave me wasn’t clean the housekeeper was cleaning it so I had to go back to the office and get another room. I asked could I have a room close by the office they had none clean at 4:00. The rooms are nice and comfortable but I probably won’t stay again because of the horrible customer service.

The Young lady working the desk at night is great, she's kind, and made my grandparents feel welcomed and she took care of them promptly so they were able to check in and rest after a long trip.

Rates were reasonably priced. Free breakfast was pretty good compared to most budget motels. Floor and sheets were stained and as we were leaving we noticed a roach behind the headboard.

Evacuated Florida due to Hurricane Irma. Tried to get back home, got caught in tropical storm force winds in Florence. 2 dogs with us. Called Baymont, they advised they were out of pet friendly rooms, but due to the circumstances, they were happy to accommodate. I have never been so grateful in my life for the kindness and understanding shown. Price was fair, rooms are nice and comfortable. Kept power on even in the storm. Rodney at the front desk was very kind and very helpful. Thank you so much Rodney and Baymont Inn and Suites in Florence. I was terrified, and you took us in. We appreciate it so much, from the bottom of my heart.

I am active military in town to work at the races. I booked this room through our Govt travel agency and it just isn't up to par. Room was not bad, a little grungy and dated but not horrible. My issue came when I got in the shower. There were long hairs all over the wall and shower curtain. I'm sorry but I'm a big believer in taking pride in your work NO matter what the job is. I train new military members all the time and some of them need to followed up behind to make sure the job is done right the first time, maybe a good idea for management to do at this facility.

The FILTHIEST hotel I've seen, as well as terrible service. Theres mold everywhere, there's flies inside of the room. The bed sheets and pillows are stained yellow. The bathtub was covered in mold. Carpets were disgusting. We requested a cleaner room right away and we're sent to an equality filthy room. If we didn't get a refund we were going to sleep on the car, but the man in the front desk said there should be no problem, just call site in which we booked in, they'll call him, he'll authorize it and we will be fine. After being on hold for 20 minutes, we were told he didn't authorize the refund because we pulled the sheets. The Peking lot was filled with ghetto people having a party and being really loud (accompanied with their young children). Could not believe how disgusting this place was.

Stayed the night with extended family at the Florence location. The rooms were fine except one room had a torn comforter which was replaced with a phone call. The free breakfast was disappointing. Many things had ran out by 8am, like the waffle batter, juices and ice water. I settled for a cinnamon raisin bagel. One person was maning both the front desk and breakfast area.

Price, night staff, and breakfast were the only good things about this place. We booked it late in the evening, while traveling down I-95 and needed a place to sleep on our way home. The trip advisor ratings were skewed and way over rated. The room (# 212) walls and bathroom were moldy and it had an old smell to it. The pool was greenish yellow so we didn't even let the kids get in. Double beds seemed extra small but overall we slept ok. We got up early, had breakfast — waffles, cereal, bagels, coffee and juice, and got back on the road. If you want a room for less than $80 and you don't mind moldy rooms, then this is your place. We won't be back tho…

Good location, not great beds, coffee in room was terrible as they only Gove you enough for one cup. We checked in VERY late (6am) cause all of the hotels in the area near Myrtle Beach were fully booked and we had an isdue with our reservation. We drove all night to find a room. Yet, the Baymont, even though not full and we would check out on a Sunday, would mot reduce our rate OR give us a late checkout (checkout was at 11am). We were too tired to go to either of the hotels on either side of the Baymont, but I wish I had, since ownership clearly does not care about their guests. Room was clean, very small, a few decent amenities.

A really nice quiet place to stay. It would be nicer if they served meat products and scrambled egges for breakfast and not just so much bread products.

Room was excellent. Seemed very upscale. Free breakfast offered that was delicious along with juice or coffee. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly and professional staff on 3rd shift. Was simply an excellent stay all around.

The people were polite and courteous. New how to resolve issues, no problem. The room had clean linens, but left over items from the previous guests didn't make it seem really clean. Comfy bed, quiet room, served its purpose.

Convenient to highway, but that's the only positive. Room was crowded, had layers of dust in the carpet and bathroom covered in mold/mildew. AC was so loud it woke us every time it kicked on. Linens were stained and pillows were tiny. "Interesting people" walking in parking lot so we did not want to go outside. Went to check out & no staff at desk — they were all taking a break out front. Never again; waste of money.

This is a hotel provide to me by work it's not the best but it's not the worst overall it's okay and the staff were nice.

This is THE WORST hotel I have EVER stayed at! We asked for a smoke-free room, and the room was full of the smell! The couch in our room was broken! I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, no matter what you are in Florence, SC for!

Not a great spot but it works. The room was small but alright. It was clean. The bed was comfy. For the price it wasn't bad. I'd go back.

Uncomfortable beds, moldy smell in the rooms, non-smoking room only by name and peeling paint. Breakfast was OK for the price and the service is good. The place just feels uncared for.

Front desk lady was nice, breakfast was nice and bathroom not so great but my biggest problem is they have bedbugs I have a total of 8 bite marks. Also I'm positive these are bedbug bites due to my profession. I would not recommend this place until this problem is eliminated. Stayed 3/17 to 3/18
