Been here two different times. Enjoyed it both times.

Great hotel, staff and location. A+++

The reviews are all over the place. However we had a great day. Our room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the hotel all together was clean. The only thing I was upset about was paying $180 a night for a room and we got a brown bag breakfast. Although the hotel website did say they serve a hot breakfast I was disappointed to see the tiny little breakfast we got in a bad. Overall we had a great stay.

My two sons and I were coming to Charleston for an overnight stay, an impromptu beach day. They are 3 and 5 years old. As soon as we got to the hotel the front desk employee named John was not helpful or friendly. The first thing he asked me before signing in or saying hello is have we had dinner yet because there is a 6 o’clock curfew due to the rioting. He said I should probably hurry up and order pizza and do it sooner rather than later. That was my first sign that I did not feel comfortable or excited to be there. The information about the curfew was not the issue, his attitude from the beginning was very dreary and offputting. I did not feel comfortable asking him for recommendations on places to go the next day. My kids were so excited to go to a hotel because it’s not very often we get to go to the beach alone. I am a single mom, and with COVID-19 I was out of work for 2 months. Needless to say, this was supposed to be an escape for us to have some fun. I ordered a pizza and we had not been in our room for two hours before John from the front desk comes knocking loudly on my door stating that there had been multiple complaints from both rooms beside me, above and below me, about the noise level coming from my room. My children and I were watching Spongebob on TV and eating pizza. They were not screaming or being loud. Also, this “noise complaint” was at 7:30PM. Not during quiet hours. It was the way he delivered his message. He obviously does not have children.

We came for our 22 Anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The entire staff was amazing and treated you like family. The King Suite was great and the beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we ever make a trip back again :)

Family fun atmosphere. I work there for 4 yrs. I left because of my 2nd Daughter Military Orders for me to travel with her.

1 Star Motel 6 is Probably better
The rooms near the car wash/poolside are very loud during the day as well as finding Bed Bugs in my room when I brought it to the general mangers attention he tried to tell me it was a baby roach I may not know all the bugs but wasn’t born yesterday. After no condensation or apologizes don’t think I’d recommend this hotel to anyone. Also after the late wedding I was in town attending I went to the front desk to get a snack to find no snacks at all pretty sad. Must not had been in the budget. At we’ll as my tub drain being broken. I stay in many comfort suites and wasn’t pleased at all by this one. Next time I’ll bite the bullet and pay more in hopes to get better service, management and accommodations.

Nice hotel although the front desk person was not helpful as to good use as for visiting the area. Said it was more of a place to live than a vacation spot.

Great breakfast, fantastic location. We stayed in sept 2018 for 2 weddings, total of 4 days… here it is 6 months later and we are back again. This will be the hotel of choice (no pun intended) every time we are in the area!

The rooms are spacious and the bed is super comfortable! The room and hotel is very clean with a very professional, friendly staff! Best breakfast with omelets, waffles, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cereal, yogurt and much more!

Clean room. Great staff. Breakfast was ok. The food was average. Drove past the place as did our friend, challenging to find. Needs better signs indicating its location. Close to bars. This should be high 3s but I didn't feel it warranted a 4 star review.

After being checked in by an unfriendly receptionist, our room was very damp and unmade when we arrived late that night. Dirty towels and sheets were still on the ground. We went to the desk to be moved and the receptionist said nothing other than “ok” and moved us to a new room. The new room smelled strongly of smoke despite being smoke free. We went down again and thankfully there had been a shift change. The new receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our third room was great!

Great place to stay. I rented 3 rooms for family and we love it. Easy access to the beach via IOP connector… staff is great… highly recommend!

Comfort suites was more than accommodating to us on our stay. They made sure we had everything we needed! Breakfast is always great, they consistently have multiple options. It is also a really convenient location. I have stayed here three times and have been happy every time. I recommend staying here!

So in an attempt to be fair I will try to discuss my experience as a whole. Charleston is a tourist town with many hotels and B&B's. At $127.00 I figured this hotel to be a good mid level stay so I adjusted my expectations to match. The daily rate I paid: $127.00 per night. We stayed 2 nights 1 — First impressions — The hotel sets back from the main road and is surrounded by a strip mall of sorts. The exterior is clean and up to date. Most of the shops in the strip mall appeared to be closed/empty. There was a family grill that was open however we did not eat there. There was also a pizza joint that was in the process of opening. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel I would say was middle class to slightly upper middle class in appearance. The entrance and lobby area were clean and inviting, the carpet was a bit worn however I didn’t intend to sleep on the floor. The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful. From the lobby you can see the breakfast area. It seemed to be appropriate size and clean. 2 — The room — I felt the room was a good size. On first inspection it was clean and well maintained (more to follow). There was a living area with a couch and a breakfast table. There was also a fridge and microwave in this area. Separated by a half wall was the sleeping area with 2 queen beds and the TV.

Comfortable accommodations and friendly service. Wi-Fi was stable and shower was hot! Would stay again.

I guess I was expecting more from a comfort hotel based on my past experiences with the brand. The room looked up to date in the pictures but its dated in person. The tub had wear, low shower pressure and the room was very very humid/muggy. The iron was down there as one of the cheapest ones you could find at walmart. The breakfast was your typical eggs, waffles, fruits and cereals so if you've had them at another hotel, it's the same here so you should know what to expect. The hotel is conveniently located between Charleston and isle of Palms so the location is awesome.

Way below average hotel for what you are paying. When we first arrived we went to our room and saw that the maid was still cleaning, when we went to the front desk we were told to just wait in the room until she was finished. We also picked up a bottle of wine from the grocery store and asked if they could accommodate a wine opener but could not "because they don't sell wine, so don't have wine openers. " What hotel doesn't have a wine opener? Location is good but, rooms are musty and out dated. Just stay somewhere else.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and their customer service. We were in town for a baseball tournament at Shipyard Park and got a group rate which saved a little money for each family but I'm glad we chose this hotel. To our surprise upon arrival, there was a welcome sign with our team name which all the players loved. As if that wasn't enough to make them feel special, when we got in the room, they had made a small basket with candy and beach toys for each player. Then to top it all off, we had an early game on Sunday and were leaving before they started serving breakfast so they made a brown bag breakfast for each one of the players. I would highly recommend this hotel because the people here really know what customer service is all about.

Love the room is convenient to shopping and entertainment and dining and the beach of the Isle of Palms.

I was very pleased with my stay here. Can't find anything negative to say. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating especially Tabitha and an older woman that works nights. Very helpful and friendly answered any Q's I had about the area. Room was clean and inviting. As a former hotel employee the first thing I do when I enter a room is check for any kind of infestation and look to see the shortcuts they took while cleaning, I found none. The wrinkles in the sheet are due to my kids on the bed before I took the pics.

This staff is top notch. The front desk clerk was the best and put us in a room with no issues when another hotel did not.

The hotel was wonderful. From the front desk staff to how clean and comfortable the rooms were. Very pleased. We were down that way for my Husband to have surgery. The hotel staff was kind and accommodating. Much appreciated!

Rooms are nice. A little dated and smell of paint. The elevator makes too much noise. And the breakfast sucks.

Nice, clean, convenient and reasonably priced. Close to lots of shopping and dining as well as many of the attractions in the area. Close to downtown as well. Been staying here for the last 18 years for our quick Charleston and IOP off season getaways.

We visited Oct 7/8 for our 1yr wedding anniversary and absolutely Loved it! We had a quiet corner room, which was spacious & immaculate. We were a 5min drive to Isle of Palms beach, the free breakfast was yummy, the staff was Exceptional (ran into several of them throughout our stay and they All were so polite & friendly! ), the bed was very comfortable, the towels were Big (I hate hotels that provide child size towels) And, the pool was nice & clean-it also had a lift for handicapped individuals to enjoy the pool. That really struck me because Ive never seen it before. Very nice! The only suggestion I have is there should be a sign on main road directing you into the little plaza as the hotel is tucked away. Also, our bathroom stayed extremely hot for some reason, so we just propped open the door while it wasn't occupied.
We ate at Acme Lowcountry for both dinner& breakfast on our anniversary, Highly recommemd!
We will Absolutely be back, the location and experience was perfect!

The hotel manager is very professional and has a high expectation for staff and hotel. Area is located in a great are with great food within walking distance.

The staff was very accommodating with my mother who is handicapped very nice stay at this establishment with my family would definitely come back again the gym room was awesome and the pool very very refreshing right in the middle of the beach and downtown Charleston perfect spot lots of shopping nearby.

Very clean suites with nice amenities. Breakfast options are plentiful, and kept fresh. Front desk staff was warm and helpful. For those who need it, there is a chair lift for the swimming pool, which is quite nice. Quiet in spite of emergency vehicles.

The beds are so comfortable! I will give them credit for that. What I found extremely rude and annoying was a housekeeping knock at 8.30am asking us to check out when check out time was 12noon. The rooms are big which is impressive.

Not only did our room smell like mold every night we were there (a total of 5 nights), we constantly had to ask for more towels and they refused to mail back a small piece of personal property after spending a large chunk of money there. Very disappointed in their customer service.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The furniture in the rooms are a bit dated but it's clean and the a/c is cold! The staff is super-friendly and resolved one issue we had very quickly. The breakfast is GOOD! Some other Choice hotel breakfasts aren't that good but this particular location is awesome. Large seating area and plenty of hot coffee. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We will definitely be back!

Great location, pretty close to the beach. Nice rooms, clean; good service, and pleasant staff. The pool doesn't look great, but I haven't used it at all. Overall good experience.

The family is staying here at the Comfort Suites and love it. The room is very clean and the staff have been great. After spending time at the beach, it was nice to come back and relax in the pool. The water is very warm, like bath water. Great for some, I'd prefer it to be a tad cooler, but still it was very relaxing. I'd stay here again. Many stores, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Not worth the price! Our room smelled really bad. The smell of cigarettes smoke in the room and an over powering small of mold/mildew was enough to turn me off. The TV was tiny and the decor in the room screams "2003". The AC in the room is positioned so close to the bed that I woke up shivering from the cold the first night. Also, the AC system was not filtering the moisture from the outside air, so we could still feel the humidity from the outside, in our room. The hotel hallways also reeked of mildew. On a good note, the king size bed was actually very comfortable, and it was very quiet inside the room, but the smell and humidity in the hotel were just sad. We won't be staying here ever again. The prices here are grossly over inflated via the quality of rooms you get vs the price you pay.

Serviceable hotel with a nice front desk staff. Rooms a bit dated.

It was clean. But it's poorly vented and the AC kept cutting off. The desk clerk (night early morning) was clearly put out. The rest of the staff was pleasant. On the last night a couple in the room next to us caught all night. So it gets two stars. But it was clean!

The room was pretty clean. Service was good. They didn't have any toothbrushes or paste available for purchase. Room smelled strange.

Stay was ok — arrived and our room smelled like smoke. We also had a cracked sink and were missing a shower liner. The pillows were small, closer to a square throw pillow than a normal rectangular one. Room was nicely sized and appointed (TV, lights, power outlets, fridge, microwave and coffee pot).

I'm a Diamond Member and I've stayed in Comfort Suites from Florida, GA, SC, NC, and this location is by far 1 of the best I've stayed in! From the housekeepers to upper management the service you get is unequivocally top notch!

Great hotel with plenty to offer in the surrounding area. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was extremely clean. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay near the beach or Charleston area.

This hotel is average. It is located at the Isle of Palms Connector which is convenient to get to the beach and downtown Mt. Pleasant. The hotel is in fair condition. It is not unclean. Its main weakness is maintenance. It was recently remodeled but the craftsmanship in the remodeling is horrendous. Plumbing fixtures were loose. Painting is messy. Air conditioning doesn't work in hallways or elevators. Wi-Fi sort of works. There are better options in the area such as the Hampton Inn.

We had blocked off rooms a year ago for or wedding. We are having our wedding on June 21st and we were told they were going to be doing remodeling a couple months ago. Well we drove by today and they are nowhere near done. We called and they said it might be done for our wedding date. Now we have people from all over not knowing if they are going to have a place or not after they already reserved their room. This is ridiculous. Then they say that we can stay further away if they have enough rooms. They need to get their crap together. I guess I'm saying don't waste your time reserving a room here cause they don't give a damn about you and won't even let you know ahead of time that you might not have rooms. They need to do something about this and quick or I will be letting everybody know to not go there.

Room had stains on carpet, and could hear people next door very clearly. You could have a normal conversation through the wall without even raising your voice. We lost power at one point. Someone next door to us was smoking weed and the management staff didnt do anything about it when I told them that the smell makes me sick. Mattresses were thin and uncomfortable. Couch bed was less comfortable than sleeping on a hard floor. Old, worn furniture that didn't fit the size of the room. Just an old neglected one that could use some serious renovations.

My family will NEVER come back to here! The Wi-Fi kept going on and off and the TV would stop working if you changed the channel. When we woke up in the morning THERE WAS NO WATER AT ALL! It did not get fixed either! Then the elevator stopped working and we had to take the stairs.

The whole of Mt. Pleasant is a nice place to visit, but bring your patience. There seems to be some ordinance concerning signs. All the hotels in this immediate area are not labeled well, and there are only road/street signs at the major intersections. The signs that ARE present on the hotels are obscured by the trees. The hotel is very nice, there are entrances in the rear of the hotel where you can swipe in and walk through to the elevator making access to the rear parking area quite easy. I normally have a very hard time sleeping in hotels/motels with my arthritis and back problems, but these beds were actually very comfortable. I did not wake up with anything hurting or numb which was a rather nice experience. They also actually have a showerhead with an adjustable spray pattern. Most places only have that stinging spray. Breakfast was very good with a wide array of choices. Sausage gravy and biscuits was a wonderful surprise. Coffee was great, too! Very good choice for a place to stay while in Mt. Pleasant. There is a King Street Grille across from the main entrance where we had lunch the day we arrived. The food and atmosphere were wonderful and not overpriced, and I am quite certain it would have been a superb place to sit and enjoy a few drinks in the evenings.

Very nice suites and some have balconies. Large hot breakfast available. I would stay here again.
