We were gifted a visit by good friends who consider the Inn one of their favorites. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the lovely dining room. Spent one night in a beautifully appointed guest room and very comfortable bed. Took early morning advantage of the spa for a perfect manicure and deep massage. Ended our stay with a delicious breakfast. Luxury and excellent service from beginning to end!

Elegant environment. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast. enjoyed the experience of staying there. didn't get a chance to spend time at the inviting fire pit. But hopefully next time I can.

Excellent laid-back atmosphere, in a golf resort area. Not like your regular Hotel but, it's an old fashion style Inn and spa. Staff for extremely friendly, warm and willing to meet your every need. Nice original ornate decor, all rooms still use lock and key. Very cozy warm and friendly stay. The food is made to order at breakfast and there's quite a cute little bar! Fantastic place to stay and not too far from Penn State and other amenities!

The food was some of the best food I've had. Truly! If you want to get alittle dressed up and go out for good wine and some fine cuisine, this is the place. Perfect date night!

Special event last evening — celebrating 21st Birthday with Granddaughter. Where? With Chef Paul Kendeffy at the Carnegie House Inn. The evening was an over-the-top experience — ambiance, service, food, champagne. Worthy of at least a 10 Star rating. Exquisite! Memorable!

I booked the chef's table for knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, what I thought may have been an inflated price in State College ended up being one of the best meals I've ever had; I would pay 30% more to do that experience again. The chef asked ahead of time if there were any allergies or food restrictions and we let him know to have full creativity over the event. With the hotel price being an inexpensive as it is I wouldn't hesitate to stay the night and make a small overnight trip for this again. Thank you Chef Paul and his team for a very memorable occasion!

Beautiful rooms with an amazing restaurant and golf complex. The staff was amazingly friendly and extremely helpful. Went out of there way to make you feel welcomed. Stayed one night for business and didn't want to leave!

Beautiful hotel. Replica of Andrew Carnegie's home. Lovely room. Great food and the staff is wonderful.

Solid relaxing spa environment. Richie has been cutting hair for years so my hair cut only took about 20 minutes but is versatile and cut very well. Products are spa priced so maybe skip down to Ulta. Mom has mani and pedi done here all the time and they are trendy and fantastic.

Very clean. Bed so very comfy. Huge tub fills fast and hot my favorite part. Morning breakfast was a let down tasted good server was so scatter brained and seemed in a rush. 2 servers on staff with 4 tables…

Beautiful, serenity, and luxurious best describe Carnegie. They have an amazing tub, very spacious and beautifully designed rooms, and very comfortable beds almost life home. Highly recommend them.

Stayed with a friend overnight for a concert that was in town. We got in and were welcomed warmly, walked to our room and given fresh baked cookies. We had to run so after a quick run through and wardrobe change we headed out. When we got back later that night we were greeted at the door again, and headed to our room where I took full advange of the soaking tub. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We were too late for dinner but we had breakfast in the morning and it was very good. The view and rooms are so nice. The public spaces are warm and cozy by the fireplaces. I am going to make it back with hubby at some point for a weekend getaway so I can check out the spa.

Very very lovely. The dining room was excellent. Breakfast also excellent. There are few places I would intentionally go back to and this is one.

Excellent service. We were put in a private room due to space limitations at the time we tried to make a reservation. Prompt service from staff. Food was excellent. Prices were above average but we knew that going in. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Dining at the Carnegie House, at the Chef's Table, with Chef Paul Kendeffy's extraordinary 12 Course Tasting, is a dining experience I wish everyone could experience. I would challenge anyone to find fresher, tastier food presented in a more beautiful and creative manner than what Chef Kendeffy prepared, anywhere. I was, as were my dining companions, in complete awe of the whole incredible dining experience. Sea bass, foie gras, venison, calamari, scallops, were just a few of the first courses. The finale was a forest scene of melt in your mouth, lighter than air meringue "mushrooms" with chocolate under coating on the caps set in edible crumbs with truffle "rocks. " Realistic to the eye and beyond comparison in taste. I would recommend this experience for any special occasion. I will never forget the evening! We were so fortunate to have Ken Cocolin organize it all. He makes any event absolutely perfect, he is a real asset to the Inn, without a doubt!

This is our favorite weekend getaway place. It is high luxury in a wooded area away from all the traffic of state college. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. The service is top rate.

Welcome back to past experiences that make this an enjoyable experience! Now a hostess greets you again … not someone calling out from an office greeting you with " you can register here, without getting up from her chair.
Nice atmosphere with cordial reception, sitting in the library enjoying a cocktail while looking over the evening's menu … then taken to our table when we continued being pampered with service and delicious food … a great celebration of my wife's birthday … but miss our favorite waitress Barbara of 17 years.

The hotel is so small and intimate that it feels like the staff is catering just to you. It was a beautiful hotel with exceptional amenities. We absolutely loved our stay and will remember it for a long time to come.

It feels like home. I like the artworks and the antique style decoration of the rooms. And of course the jacuzzi in the bathroom is perfect for a relaxing evening after a long day.

Excellent location for PSU Football Games/Events. If warm old world charm is your taste this is your place. Staff excellent from check in to check out. Homemade chocolate cookies… five stars. Thank You Carnegie Inn & Spa Jeremi Conaway.

We stayed at the Carnegie inn for our anniversary get awayast night. The room was clean, and super cute. We had an AMAZING couples massage that was so relaxing. Then for the food… I have eaten at some of the best restaurants around and this is by far the best food I have had. The service was exceptional from our waiter Zach who we had for dinner and breakfast. Inika and Rebecca were top notch when it came to hospitality. We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you, Carnegie Inn for providing such a unique atmosphere not far from us! We felt like we were a wild away while still being within a 40 minute drive from our home!

Nestled in the woods, this hidden gem is the perfect end of day refuge after a long day of PSU campus hustle and bustle. Quaint, peaceful, picturesque, serene, delicious, and welcoming! Highly recommend!

Excellent food and good wine selection. Service was very good overall, but our assigned waiter left a little to be desired. Beautiful space.

The food was absolutely wonderful. I can not discredit this. Prepared and plated beautifully. Had a few hiccups while I was there. The black haired lady at the front has a serious attitude problem and made me feel unwelcome. My server wrote down that I was allergic to potatoes, however when my filet came out, there were mashed potatoes on my plate. Might I add that I am deathly allergic to potatoes, I know it's uncommon, but I prefer to stay out of the hospital. There are few places like this in the state college area, next time I consider one it will probably be elsewhere, where I feel welcome and the cooks are attentive enough to have a little respect for severe food allergies.

The room was gorgeous and affordable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. I plan to stay here again.

A hidden gem in State College. Not marketed well but excellent food and fantastic ambiance. Would highly recommend.

I felt like I walked into a Clue board game. We drank in the library, ate dinner in the dining room, and were murdered with a pipe in the study. Just kidding about that last part. It's a great place for a nice dinner with a loved one.

The Carnegie and is incredibly charming and comfortable. Large rooms very comfortably appointed and amazing bathrooms make for a elegant and pleasant environment. The staff was immensely helpful and courteous. It felt like a resort.

My dining experience was very elegant. The food and service were exceptional along with my time spent there. We were seated by a fireplace to dine and it was very romantic. I would say that this was the finest dinner we've had ever.
