People drinking and smoking each time we Walked out the hotel lobby. Right next to the door. Very uncharacteristic of State College. The adjacent liquor store may be the reason. I talked with front desk and an hour later, same issue. Otherwise it’s the best location, close to downtown and campus, and clean rooms.

I was staying here at this hotel while visiting mu best friend at Penn State University for about 5 days. The service has been great. Everyday housekeeping makes sure you're comfortable and have everything thing you need. The managers had smiles on their faces and were very accommodating to my friends who also came on this trip. The pool is great as well and everything is very clean.

The lobby was nice, and the location is pretty good — — downtown and in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. The rooms were clean, but nothing particularly special. I did not check out the amenities at all. On site parking was convenient as well. My only complaint would be that one of the elevators smelled like urine; most likely a victim of undergraduate life.

The staff is terrific. The hotel rooms are small but reasonably priced. Best location in town to take advantage of the night life and proximity to campus. It's also attached to a good Mexican restaurant so you can easily hang out there if you don't want to venture too far.

Quiet hotel. Parking garage type set up for parking. So pretty on the inside! Pool is great, but floor is soft. Water was colder than air temperatures, which I wasn't anticipating. But you got used to it. We ordered room service at Mexican restaurant that connects to hotel. It was AMAZING and prices were extremely reasonable. Yum!

Perfect location in heart of downtown. Staff are incredibly friendly. Rooms and hotel are clean. Beautiful lobby replicates walking down a cozy street. Pet friendly hotel (we bring our dog and the staff is always kind to him! ) that doesn't take anything away from the rest of the hotel. Highly recommended if you can book here to do so. Football weekends try and reserve a year in advance.

Great location — you could walk to the college, stores, food. They inside common area is very nice, comfy place to sit if you don't want to come in your room. Nice pool. They housekeeping crew was really nice.

Nice place for a short stay in State College. Rooms are comfy and clean, people working the are welcoming and helpful. Wonderful hall. Not too quiet, but not too noisy either. Only negative side: sometimes a bit of smell in the room coming from the Mex restaurant right outside the hotel.

Great staff, comfy beds, really like the location. All around a good stay. Prices are super reasonable, too!

Nice accommodations. Clean rooms, great location in walking distance to all restaurants and bars in town. Nice that they can allow pets for those who need it.

Excellent location! Love the main lobby area. Staff is welcoming. They even have chew bones for our furry companions! Really liked having specific parking area. Our room met our expectations. Major disappointment was the inconsiderate group of kids hanging out by the pool without parental guidance. I could not enjoy time with my 3 year olds while worrying about being the one who would have to call for medical help once things got worse.

Way over priced hotel. You can find much better hotels for a much better price. Can not understand what makes this hotel so great that they can charge so much. I decided to check prices on other days. During the week it is only $93. On a not so busy weekend it was $139. If it is a busy weekend that price more then doubles to $206. Talk about price gouging. I understand a price increase for a busy weekend but that is a bit too much. You better be a 5 star hotel for that much. Go to a cheaper hotel and make it worth your money. To add to the comment below that you are in line with the other hotels, you are not. We have stayed in State College many times before and only paid half what we paid here at much better hotels. You might want to recheck the pricing of other hotels.

Very nice hotel in an excellent downtown location, close enough to walk to anything downtown or on campus. Rooms were nice, very clean, and staff was friendly. I will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Great room, in the middle of town, close to everything! Small but well decorated, comfy bed, clean, very nice common areas. Liked seeing guests' pets! Sad there was no breakfast, but SC has tons of restaurants. Annoyed with short pool hours and that there was no parking for overnight guests because of an event at the hotel, but it wasn't a deal breaker, especially with the cost of $89 a night. For that price and the comfort, we'd LOVE to stay longer next time! Hopefully we'll get a similar deal soon!

If I could rate this hotel a zero I would. It was probably the worst hotel I have ever set foot in. Old. Outdated. Pretty creepy. I should have none better the moment I parked my car in their parking garage that it wasn't going to be a good place to rest my head. The parking garage had chunks of paint peeling off and dropping all around the lot. Walking in the hallway to my room the lighting was dim. The carpet was dark and dingy looking. There was a weird smell in the hallway like old paint and RAID. The doors to the room looked like they had been recently spray painted with black spray paint. The ceiling in my room had some questionable stains. I did all I could not to really pry any further as I only needed to stay one night and had no choice but to stay here. I made quick glances around and did my best not to focus. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel was great, we stayed one night and brought our dog. Having a dog friendly hotel was very convenient and there was no pet — smell that oftentimes accompanies this situation. Wi-Fi was stable, public areas were clean and we'll lit, the quiet atrium is a very nice touch in an otherwise noisy college town. Parking is free and staff were all friendly, especially with the dog! As a student I only ever went to the attached Mad Mex, but as an alum, I find the ability to spend the night drinking margaritas then have a short walk to the hotel room especially convenient!

We were moved from another hotel were the pipes broke. They had a room immediately for us. Customer service was excellent. Have tea and coffee 24/7. The indoor pool is wonderful. Very helpful to direct us around town. Very clean and very friendly.

Great accommodations downtown and for a great price. Mad Mex is right downstairs and easy access to everything to want to get to.

Ate dinner at Mad Mex which is in the hotel. Good food. Fun place to eat.

Best hotel in State College. Closest to the important parts of town (better than being down by Atherton and College) good bottle shop attached, and Mad Mex is a great restaurant for a hotel.

Great place. This hotel is located in the city centre, very close to everywhere. Room was big and clean. But the coffeemaker needs to be clean. Bed was comfortable. The newspaper delivered to the room every morning. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommended this hotel. Great choice.

This is a great hotel in the heart of State College. I highly recommend staying here. Very nice clean facility with a bar and restaurant (Mad Max). Great place for meetings and walking distance to all the State College night life. Staff are amazing being both helpful and friendly. This is where I always stay when traveling to State College.

Still the best for the experience. Old building but updated rooms. Great location. Room service (uncommon for this class hotel). Friendly staff.

With its weird atrium and big pool, this place must have been the lap of luxury back in 1988. Joking aside, ownership these days have done a nice job with this place. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, the front desk staff was very kind. Very good location in downtown State College, and they offer ample parking. Has a restaurant/bar attached, did not get to eat there personally. Prices were very reasonable for the location.

I came here for a wedding, It was truly a wonderful place. Yes it is a days inn but I had no complaints and the staff was amazing, friendly and kind to me. I would come here again, Its location is perfect as well.

Fantastic hotel for the price. Right in the center of town, extremely nice and clean. Front desk was very helpful. I highly recommend!

The room was lovely. It was very clean. I loved the little complimentary snacks they left in the room. The bed was super comfy. Bathroom was a little small, but home feeling. Would stay again!

My family chose this hotel because of its location near the university campus. The room was clean overall. But the front desk staff was really rude and unprofessional. Due to a schedule change we arrived a little earlier than expected. We asked when it would be possible for us to check in but got very rude reply twice. This has been the most unpleasant hotel experience we had in the past ten years. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Clean room. Walking distance to food. They let your dog's stay for $10 each and I got 2 big dogs, so friggen rights eh. Tall Young guy with the mustache who checked me in couldn't have been nicer. Would have give 5 stars but they need some grass for they dogs.

Very clean rooms and reasonable rates for non-football game days.

They lost our reservation and treated my grandparents poorly and said there was nothing they could do to correct the situation. Very dissapointing.

Our visit to our daughter at State College and stay at the Days Inn was very nice. We were up for the basketball event and stayed the weekend. Everything was booked but we were able to get a nice room at this hotel. The staff were very nice and accommodating for us. The breakfast each morning was well stocked and had a good choice of food. We plan to go back during the summer for her graduation and will stay again at this hotel.

We checked in with our Pug and found a comfortable room with a TV and a phone and Wi-Fi that worked just fine. The bathroom was a bit cramped but adequate for our needs. When my daughter checked us in she specifically asked about where to walk our dog and what the "clean up" policy was and where do we deposit our pup's "gifts". So it was very clear we had a D-O-G! In fact we asked for and got a "pet room" so why wasn't a pet deposit taken on our CREDIT CARD when we checked in. They did not collect a pet deposit and we had a surprise when we returned from a day on campus and the creamery to find that our keys wouldn't open the door! The desk clerk was defensive when we asked why the deposit wasn't taken on the first night. She claimed she didn't have a credit card on file and that was why we were locked out of our room. HMMM-the room was reserved with a CREDIT CARD. And on the 20th was PAID for with a CREDIT CARD. We were humiliated-but with the same CREDIT CARD paid the pet deposit. This happened on the night of the 22nd! This was the only flaw in our stay. Within walking distance to everything and basically an OK place. We will return and this time we will be sure to dot EVERY "i" and cross EVERY "t" at check in.

Just got home from a one night stay with my wife and daughter for a visit to Penn State College and all we can say is what a great hotel we choose to stay in. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and more than adequate. The beds were very comfortable and the TV had plenty of channels to choose from. The hotel is in a pefect location to the downtown area perfect for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat and is within 5 minutes driving distance to the football field and all the surrounding campus locations and walking distance for the students in most cases. The whole family felt very safe and comfortable and we will stay here again in the future. We recommend this hotel to all.
