We had a good time by the pool was my daughter birthday she enjoyed.

Arrived today with my two cats to find a mouse trap in my room. Went to the office and they told me yeah we have been having problems with mice. So what if I didn’t see the trap and my cats got to it and what was on that trap POSION. They offered me another room I went I checked it out and found mouse droppings in the drawers. Went back to my room and found mouse droppings in those drawers. Ohhh and which they didn’t tell me when I made the reservation that they are NOT serving the Continental breakfast because of the mouse problem… NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM NOW AT DIFFERENT HOTEL.

It was dirty and smelly and the staff was not helpful or friendly! We left within an hour of checking in! They had trash in the halls and the carpet was horrible on the steps and sticky!

The place was dirty and smelled like mold and smoke. Never got any new towels. Tub was rusting so bad pieces kept falling in the tub. Doors didn’t work properly. It was a horrible experience. Had to plug in the TV because someone stole the cord and the remote. Had to install the smoke detector from another room because someone must have stolen it. I didn’t feel safe the entire trip because doors were wide open to empty rooms and the outside doors didn’t lock.

This is the most horrible place, noise, dirty, unsafe, homeless leaves there, this is not a hotel this is a shelter.
Please don’t stay there it’s dangerous for your family.

What a dump! 1st trip to Hershey and wanted to go full experience, thought that a place on chocolate Ave would be great to experience. Well the only bright spot was the guy at the front desk. Told my kids the story of Hershey and how his grandfather worked with him was great! Now going to the room, parked by the pool and walking in had to get through the group drinking and smoking away. Get into the room and the beds were horrible. Room was not clean chair was falling apart, fridge was filled with old food, figured was being picky as I was tired and hungry. After dinner we came back to go to the pool, was gonna ask for another room. Once again walking past a group drinking and smoking blocking the way to the pool. In the pool area was so dirty broken chairs and cases of beer all over. At that point started looking for a new place. Once found we got the heck out of there. Do not go to this hotel. It is nasty.

Stayed here during a visit with the kids to Hershey Park. The staff were great and the continental breakfast was one of the best I've had. The pool/hot tub area was nice but could really use some upkeep. One of my favorite amenities was the bedside alarm clock with built in USB ports for charging for phone/gear. Our rooms were clean and comfy and we got a fantastic rate! Would absolutely stay again.

Great hotel! Perfect location to get to Hershey Park and all of the other attractions within Hershey and some attractions in Harrisburg. The bed is super comfortable especially if you like a firm mattress. The breakfast is a very nice bonus. I just wish there was a few more food options available and I wish the kitchen staff would keep up better with the food when it empties out. Lastly, I think they need to replace there room card readers because ours wasn't properly reading our card all the time. Honestly though, my wife and I do love this hotel and we'll definitely be back in the future!

I'm not one to trash a place on a review, but my entire experience was a nightmare. My girlfriend and I just needed a place to crash; we weren't looking for anything fancy, but you MUST read this before booking so you know what you're in for… 1. Black mold in room right by the AC and on the curtains. 2. Toilet did not flush. I had to reach in the top and fix it myself. 3. They double booked the room! A family barged in on us and were given the same key to our room, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! 4. The breakfast was a joke, nothing was left. And the one piece of stale white bread that I was able to get my hands on I couldn't even toast because the toaster was broken! 5. House keeping almost busted in on us in the morning and then gave me attitude when I said check out is at 11AM and you need to come back because we are still in there! 5 good reasons to not stay here. I will be seeking a refund because it is unbelievable how terrible the experience was. This place needs new management because this place is a joke.

I needed a room for 4 because I took the kids to Hersey park and did not feel like driving the same day. Somehow I got this place for 220 which was a fair price for one night. This place has not been deep cleaned in ages. Many many sings of wear and tear. Many broken items in the room and bathroom and clearly they are not addressing it or simply don’t care. Some are easy fixes. The staff is ok… I suggest you drive a little further pay a little more and stay some place else. Taking one star off for dirt, one for broken items, and one for being worn out.

Our stay was great. Pool area was nice and there are several outdoor accommodations for smokers. Breakfast was awesome, they had lots to choose from, we were impressed. Room was comfy and clean. Older hotel but was worth it. Quick and easy drive to Hershey.

Avoid this place at all cost. We booked in March for a June trip. We had two confirmed King rooms. When we arrived at 4pm, we were told no King rooms were available. When we protested one became available with a promise of a second would come avaliable, and they would call. We went to the pool and about an hour later we went to the front desk and questioned the second room. We were greeted with hostility and the statement that we will call you when the room is available. 7:15 came and no call, we went and questioned the situation. At this point we were told no King rooms were available and we stated we would accept a double. When pushed they confirmed this was not true. They offered us a discount, unfortunately this discount was more expensive than the original price. Fortunately we had our original paperwork. Ultimately they did give us a cheaper price. In addition to the run around they gave us, the rooms are quite honestly a bit scary. Both rooms clearly had the door jambs kicked in multiple time. The one room smelled very musty and was damp. The other room had one of the electrical junctions fully exposed, when juggled the lights in the room shut off and on. Avoid this place at all cost, don't let the exterior looks draw you in.

Employees were great but the breakfast was so-so. The locks were tricky to open. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. I was able to use the computer available for work while there.

Apparently online bookings aren't "guaranteed. " So even though I booked a king suite, I received a full sized bed. I haven't slept on one of those since maybe high school. The rugs could use a good cleaning. Mold in the bathroom. General run down condition. I cannot wait to get home and take a hot shower. I won't be back. I rather wish I could go even lower stars now that the "manager" has responded — Shifting the blame to the guest is NEVER the right answer. Do not list your hotel on "other sites" if you don't honor the bookings. The vast majority of us use "other sites" while traveling so we can know what is out there. "According to the other views shared we did not fully meet your expectations — our apologies. " Is this for real? The place was run down and there was mold — I repeat MOLD all throughout the bathroom. I can only imagine what the condition would have done for someone with asthma.

I have never been in a Hotel with Selfless Staff members. So generous. I would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Service was great. The hotel rooms were not what they seemed like in the photos. The breakfast was decent. Overall, probably worth about $100 stay for a Friday but I wouldnt pay more than that.

The building is pretty outdated, but it's clean and has a fridge. The pool and breakfast (which doesn't have eggs or bacon and was out of yogurt, pah) is nice, plus you get okay internet (a little slow) and HBO television. There is no microwave or coffee maker in the rooms though. Plenty of lighting and power outlets. The only problem I had was there is weird linty black stuff on the pillows and some random tiny hair which I am pretty sure isn't mine on some parts of the blanket or bed. Otherwise it was clean. And funky smells only in some rooms, and burning carpet smell when heater is on. Also, the key cards are not very reliable because they take several swipes. And there should be a spare toilet paper roll in the rooms. If the cleanliness is improved on the bed and internet faster (for weaker devices internet is slow), I would give it a 5 based on the price.

We had a family holiday with 20 family members all staying in this hotel. They were very polite and accomidating. The breakfast was awesome. Only downside was no elevator. Overall, very happy.

Will definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

I was working a later shift when a snow storm rolled in; so I booked a room here to be safe and for a reprieve from the stress of working during a storm. I had hoped for something slightly better then the cheapest option… Everything is outdated and worn out; this place could really use a remodel. It's like walking into a back country motel from the 1950s with none of it's charm. The breakfast was okay I guess and the staff was fine. Definitely not worth the cost; I wish I had just picked a cheaper hotel.

Pleasant stay, very nice setup for breakfast. Staff was on point. The inn itself could get a nice makeover. But still, recommend for a quick stay.

Stayed while I was in town for a wedding as part of a block of rooms. Everything was simple but fine and the free breakfast is always nice. The parking lot is a little tough to get to and hard to navigate with a big car in the snow but the location was otherwise convenient.

It's ok for a 1 night stay. Not good for an extended stay (4 nights). The rooms are very old, outdated, and not appealing. There's water stains (we hope), rust, strange sounds coming from the light fixture in the bathroom. Barely want to sleep in the bed or touch the floor bare foot, or stand in the shower. Had to call the front desk and didn't want to touch the phone. There are stains on the ceiling and the room smelled musty upon arrival. They left a pretty christmas card and serve breakfast daily. The TV and alarm clock are up to date. The main points of the room are clean ie. The sheets, table tops, and toilet. The refrigerator barely kept our food items cold. You get what you pay for. Oh, the staff are nice and friendly. Merry Christmas!

The staff is very nice, especially Jennifer and Gayle but the hotel is very out dated. It reminded me of the movie, "The Shining. " I was scared to stay here but because I had someone with me it made me feel safer. The hallways reeked of funky carpet that probably hasn't been vacuumed since 1985. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Everything was wonderful. The room was very clean and neat, the shower was very accessible and easy to use. There are many brochures and maps for adventuring or just exploring PA, and the staff were all very nice and accommodating if there was something wrong.

Yuck! Just stayed here and I would not suggest it to anyone! To say the rooms were dated is an understatement! The cleaning crew must not exist as I had to clean the shower when we arrived and before my son took a shower. The floor clearly was not vacuumed. The counters and table tops were not cleaned… just gross. The countertop in the bathroom was as low as my knees — which was perfect for my son but not good for an adult. The "closet" in the bathroom was a sliding door closet where they took off the doors… tacky and dirty. I have stayed at my share of roadside stopovers but this was disgusting… a cheaper place would have been cleaner. One positive — lobby is new and clean and breakfast was good… that said I would find somewhere else to stay!

The lower level rooms in the Milton Hershey Hotel have a musty cent to them. My family and I had to change rooms because it was so bad. Other then that it is a big hotel with a small indoor water park, basketball court, mini golfing, ect. Good food at the morning buffet, good restaurants inside with excellent desert. Hope this review will help you to decide on staying in the Milton Hotel in Hershey Park.

Although I read some reviews, it was the only available hotel around the area and with that being said, it is a nasty and dirty place. At check in I was greeted by an awful smell from the carpets. Upon going to my room there was hair all over the bathroom and sink, needless to say the turd that was left in the toilet. Furthermore, I go to Hershey Park around 9ish and come back to my room at 5pm only to find my room the same way I left it, no room service. I called the front desk and the employee who came to my room just pulled the sheets and that was it, I had to remind him of the towels. This place was so dirty I had to take a shower wearing sandals and slept with socks because I would not dare step into that disgusting carpet. Avoid this place! They think by giving you a 15% discount would make up for this unpleasant place. I would give them 0 stars but I couldn't!

The staff is the reason I'm giving this hotel 2 stars… the room smelled awful. The carpets were dirty need replaced, the mirrors had a film on them. We wrote on the mirrors clean me they did not. Dusty chairs, all the furniture had a film. This hotel needs a good cleaning. But, the staff was excellent. The breakfast was okay. But nothing for lactose people.

Amazing service and great rates. The breakfast was great if we go back to Hershey hands down this is where we WILL stay. So friendly one word to describe our stay AMAZING THANK YOU FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE.

I just want to say we were in town for an appointment at Hershey medical center, with a very sick patient. I know the hotel is not a top dollar hotel, but I want to say the staff was more than top notch! Better than most high end hotels. Or room was an average room it met all our needs. Any thing we needed with our special needs were met immediately and very very efficiently! Again I can not say enough about how the staff helped us! I hope as the renovations get completed that we r able to visit again but maybe for a better reason. I know this will be a very beautiful place after their renovation. We did not need a posh hotel we needed an accommodating hotel and they excelled at it! When staff offers to bring and carry food to our room to help because our patient was not able to make it to the dinning area, beyong exceptional! Help with our heater, matnience was immediately at our door and worked very efficiently and quietly for our family member. Housekeeping with two extra blankets befor we even had to ask for it. The front counter staff was exceptionally friendly and very helpful with all my questions! And did I mention this was our second visit because of coming to the HMC and both times were great! Thank you Best Western Hershey Staff, you don't even know how much we appreciated you!

Great location. Renovations in progress for breakfast area. Close to Hersheypark, stadiums, Penn State Milt Hershey Hospital, & MHS. Clean but rooms on 1st fl need updated, especially if paying $100+ per night. Housekeeping very helpful. Some fridges are loud & don't expect a microwave. Has hairdryer in room. Don't leave clothing behind because it won't be in the "lost & found. " Prob finders keepers. (gold elite)

Ok this was probably the worst hotel I've stayed in, it smelt old and wet in our room, the A/C was dusty and dirty when the heat was put on it smelt like dying crab. There was a huge spider and it's Web in my room. The toilet paper was basically gone when we arrive I believe they should put new rolls in for each guest. The drains in the showers were filthy it wasn't even there. There were stains all over the mattress, bodily fluids and others, the shower had no presser. It was like a sink faucet dripping. It will be worth it to stay somewhere else.

First let me start by saying everyone I encountered at this hotel was very nice. This is not a reflection of the staff. The main entrance of this hotel should have been the first warning, as it smelled like dirty dishwater. After getting checked in, we soon realized there is no convenient elevator and one of my co-workers had a broken foot. We entered our room to find the A/C covered in dirt, and dust, and this was the same dirt and dust all over the drapes directly above the A/C. There were blood stains on my bed, and the mold quickly made me sick. After staying in this hotel for a few days I began to get little bites all over my body, and am now afraid that I have brought bed begs into my home. I will never stay at any Best Western in the future because of this experience.

By far the worst experience, when checking in we take our bags and head to the room. On the way I notice a lot of stains and I chalk it up to high traffic areas. We arrive to our suite the Cocoa suite and we notice poop on the bed. The hotel manager was very nasty and I had to call the corporate office.

I will never go to another best western again after my experience at this one. I almost canceled my room before hand after reading the last review but I had bought the room from AAA and paid it in full. But let's get to my experience. First, after checking in we find out there was a stain (looked like blood) on the sheets. So we go back down to get new sheets and the lady rolled her eyes at us and in a huff got us new sheets. Next, later that night the room got a little cold so we had to turn on the heater which started smoking and set our smoke alarm off. Later we would find out that they didn't use them since spring and it was full of dust which is why it started smoking. Finally, upon checking out it went really smooth. Which was great right? NOPE. After enjoying a day at Hershey park and before we went driving back home I checked my bank account. It was over drawn by $200. I called my bank to see who had charged me $300 and it turned out to be Best western. So we drove back up to best western and they told me it was the new person's fault. The manager told me that it will only take 5 days for the money to come back into my account and she didn't see what the big deal was. At this point let's not talk about how rude she was but let's talk about what I over heard when I was standing at the counter.

We had two adjoining rooms for one night. Check in was a breeze. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

I have stayed here before, and had great service, and I am going to be staying there tonight to.

This is the most run down Best Western we ever stayed in. Bath tub anti skid material had turned brown-black. Walls, floors, woodwork are old and show signs of patched repair and patches of recent repainting. Toilet rocked when used. Complimentary breakfast left much to be desired. The half and half creamer packets curdled in the coffee. The maple syrup pump had long strings of thick maple syrup that hung off the pump nozzle. The bananas were on their last day of being edible-mostly dark brown and black spots. English muffins and poppy seed mini muffins were stale and hard. I thought the waffles were OK, but my wife did not eat hers. The only other cooked food available was hard boiled eggs, but neither of us tried them. Would only stay there again if everything else was booked. $66.59 for one night is fairly inexpensive.

Manager was nice enough to let me come back after an interview and use a room to change before a long drive home. Very pleased with my stay and the courteous staff.

I had a reservation at this hotel (that was paid for in advance). I checked in Nov 1st and checked out Nov 2nd. I was in the area to visit my daughter at her school. When I checked in, I gave them the confirmation number and had to confirm that the room was already paid for, only thing I was required to pay for was incidentals (such as pay per view). Since I had no intentions of using "incidentals" I gave my credit card and was assured other than incidentals, I wouldn't be charged anything. I had given them a pre paid debit card (as my bank card was compromised during the kmart breach). When I went to check out, I again reminded them that the room was paid for. It was confirmed that it was and no charges would appear on my debit card (I had only pre loaded $200 on it as I couldn't afford any more than that and what I had planned for my daughter and I would be covered by that amount). However, as soon as I checked out, within 30 mins my debit card was charged $64.95 (again this room was already paid for! ) and a $25.00 incidental fee. I immediately called them. They said they would immediately reverse the charges, However, it would take 7 days to reappear! Everything I had planned to do with my daughter had to be cancelled because of their screw up! I had to have my fiancée wire me money for gas to come home. When I explained to them what their error cost me, their response was "Well I don't know what to tell you"! Very rudely I might add!

This is a very old hotel with very little updates. My first room smelled like mill due. The second room smelled old and less wet. The associates at the front desk were very nice and helpful. One of the associates mentioned that this hotel was build in the 70s which explains why the rooms are not that desirable. I do like best westerns, but I would not recommend this hotel. Spend a little more money and find something a little better. Just to note, I travel for work and I usually stay in Hilton or Marriott hotels. If I brought my family, I would still have to think twice.

This is the first time I've written a review online. I usually send complaints or compliments directly to the business, but I thought it would be helpful to travelers to get as many opinions on this location as possible. I had no choice in my accommodations as my organization arranged for me to stay at this site, but I will definitely ask them to make different arrangements should I need to return to Hershey. Although my room appeared to be clean, it had a musky, damp odor. The walls are quite thin; I can hear activity in neighboring rooms and street traffic quite easily. There are not any free outlets in the room. In order to plug in personal devices, be prepared to unplug a lamp, the television, or alarm clock. It is annoying to have to crawl around to find an outlet. The "fitness center" is nothing more than a basement room with one treadmill, one unsteady elliptical machine, one recumbent bicycle, and a multipurpose weight machine. All of the machines are quite old, and no, there are no televisions or radios in the room. Alarmingly, there are antibacterial wipes or sprays in the room to clean machines after use. If you're looking for quick arrangements that are so-so, maybe this will fit the bill for you. If you're used to some basic amenities, or are going to be staying for more than a night, look elsewhere.

Very clean, Friendly and very helpful. Breakfast area clean and the kept it filled! I Loved the ladies in the morning! cheerful and had a welcoming spirit about them. I def. Will return soon only down fall because it is Hershey I thought we would have a piece of Chocolate on my bed! But hey you can't have everything! lol Thank you to all the staff! Great job.
