The customer service was outstanding! After a terrible mess at a neighboring Residence Inn left us with no room for our vacation. We booked last minute with a third party that told me I had connecting rooms but when we arrived the rooms were on different floors. The front desk manager changed my rooms and personally walked me to the rooms to see them before committing to the reservation. I was able to cancel the third party reservation and receive a refund thanks to their help!

This room was not thoroughly cleaned. Bed was made, bathroom clean, but there was a box of uneaten chinese food in the refrigerator, the coffe maker dirty with a used coffee filter in the machine, the iron left in room instead of placed in caddy located in the bathroom and a single hand towel and bath towel for two guest reservation. In additionl, no tissues?
on the plus side, bed very comfy.

Uhhh… I mean… It’s cool if you like blood splatter in your room. I guess someone was murdered or committed suicide and the cleaning people only did half the job, lol. And it’s still semi-fresh… It’s still a bright red; not that brown-ish color blood gets after it’s been there a while.

My room was okay, the bathroom sink still had hair in it and the bed smelled like a guy just bathed in after shave and layed down… when you first walk down the hallway hold your breath cause of the smell like stale milk… thank God it was only one night.

Been on vacay for a week best room yet and it was free.

This place is disgusting!
sheets were dirty there was what looked to be a vomit stain in the bathtub, they allowed a trucker to bring his farm animal into the room next to me (his pet pig)
my skin is crawling I feel like I got bit up with bed bugs.

Its a good place to stay. Clean.

Bed is very comfortable and shower wonderful water pressure.

Inexpensive and clean and close to the Farm Complex.

Fair price, and respectful front desk. She took us in at midnight and set us up with a room quickly.

Small, but clean room, good location. Wonderful and helpful staff. We had a very late check in and were willing to switch rooms so that I didn't have to carry 3 small children up a flight of stairs without hesitation. Will definitely stay here again when traveling.

After five great nights at two other Red Roof Inns we stopped at the Harrisburg North Inn, The experience could not have been worse, It started with Michael at the front desk. He was rude, the room we were given had not been made up from the previous occupant (this was early evening). When my wife called he was again rude, did not apologize and just stated to "Bring the Keys Back" When reminded of the RediCard Water he tossed a room temp bottle at me. He is a liability to them and should be dismissed. The clean rooms are fine if you are not frustrated by the time you get there. We will not go to that location in the future.

I think 2 stars is fair enough. Check in easy breezy. However, who ever did my check in wasn't at all friendly and courteous. He didn't tell me where to park and didn't tell me to use the steps being that my room was on the second floor. They charge a fee to use the safe, UM! okay! On the website it says kitchens in all rooms… Hmmm! The stair well smells of piss, "Hey ever hear of a really good cleaner or pine-sol? " Over all, the room I'm in is really nice and a nice view of the parking area. The A/C is questionable, its blowing air, cool air and making a humming noise. How about up dating the air conditioning systems? They are out dated. Think twice before staying here. If your in a pinch and need a place to rest your head, well alrighty then!

This spot was pretty cool. Price was great and the rooms look really nice. Bed was very comfy and the wood floors were a good pop. Close to lots of food and they even have a menu to order from.

I stay at Red Roof always when traveling. Never have I had a problem till this visit. Have stayed in Harrisburg PA before but this time will be the last. Checked in at 6:30 PM and was greeted with a nasty clerk. Checked out the next morning at 7:30 to the same clerk. Corporate will surely be hearing from me about this. Aside from being rude she wouldn’t let me add the stay to my Redirect Rewards account cause my husband wasn’t traveling with me. What couple has 2 separate accounts? Beware of this nasty person. She wouldn’t give me her name. Cross that Red Roof off our list!

Desk clerk was very rude to me after I complained about noisy guests above me. I finally asked to change rooms and he was even more rude then. Absolutely not called for!

Room was very basic (no fridge or microwave), but it was clean looked nice. There is no breakfast at this hotel, but there is coffee in the lobby. Hotel staff was very nice. Overall if you are looking for a basic hotel at a good price, then I recommend this place. There is nothing fancy here, but you will have a clean and pleasant stay.

I reserved two rooms for our stay. They were honestly the filthiest hotel rooms I have ever been in. One room was a mixture of smoke and mustiness. I asked for a different room and was told these were the only 2 rooms they had next to each other. For the week we were there, the beds in one of our rooms was only made once. I asked housekeeping to clean the room and told the front desk. After complaining to the office, was finally made the beds in the room. They never did it again. The floors were never vacuumed. There was trash from a previous renter under the bed. The bedspread was also stained. I realize that my rate was cheaper than some other hotels. I expected it to be outdated, but not filthy.

If you are just looking for a quick place to stay it's okay but I wouldn't shower there. It's not very clean. I even found someone's leftover food sauce. For what you pay they could whip out the vacuum and there were cleaning ladies everywhere. Also, customer service is not there strong point. I didn't realize I needed a room key to get ice and although they provided me with a temporary key to access it, it was clearly an inconvenience as I was met with a huff and an eyeroll.

Bugs were in the room, smelled like body odor, toilet was not working right, bathroom made loud noises. But the beds are comfortable!

Place ok, but some room furnishings (mirrors and shelving) were not kept in good repair nor was there any cleaning done in the corners. Paint on wall and ceiling needed refreshing. Night manager Michael could not be cheered, and his personal hygiene was not up to date.

The best and most personable General Manager I have ever encountered! I love her, Thank you Mrs. Joanna Martin.

It was an alright place to crash. The staff was nice however the rooms needed some work. Comfortable beds and hot water though.

The room was clean and comfortable. Despite having a bit of a mix-up with booking they were able to accommodate me in a short amount of time. I would stay here again.

Room was okay, it needed to be swept up as there was dirt on the floor. Bed was comfortable and fairly clean. The room had a desk and chair which was convenient.

Place pretty clean but realize after my 3rd time visiting that their heater doesn't heat up well Everytime on Eisenhower and north Harrisburg.

The room is dirty and I also wanted a room with a microwave and refrigerator and didn't get either one. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know because this place is nasty and needs to be reported to the health inspector or health department.

This stay was the second time I've put a family member up for the night here. They all have said it's a wonderful hotel. Very updated and clean. They even complimented the staff up front and we're very pleased how close Turkey Hill convenience store was to the hotel for things they may need.

Location was nearby several food options, and close to major highways. Not so close as to create a sound issue, but easy to find and great as a stop gap for long trips. No complaints.

Certainly not a bad cheap hotel, although I would classify it as such. Nothing wrong with that either. Service was friendly and prompt and the room I stayed in was clean. Walls are a little on the thin side but nothing to bad. You certainly get what you pay for here.

Overall run down and dirty. Our non smoking room reaked of tobacco. Rates were high compared to other red roofs I've stayed in that were much nicer. Ice only available back by check in.

Aside from the obvious upgrades that are needed at this Red Roof Inn at Harrisburg North, this was a good value for the $70 price tag. The room was well equipped with a king sized bed, mini fridge, microwave, desk and large screen TV. Although I wanted to see a tissue box in the room which wasn't there. Good deal at $70. Don't pay more.

Unpleasant place to stay. Arrived late to find room with bits and pieces of stuff on the floor. Missing a towel and I have to get it myself from the lobby. Poor service and poor cleanliness is all I can say for this place.

Nice flat screen tv. The bed is comfortable and clean but small for a "superior" king size, its just a king bed. We found shoes under the bed and condoms in the side stand. The shower head leaks and the bathroom is very dirty as well. It was someplace cheap to stay. So didn't expect much, but next time I'll spend a little bit more and get a nicer hotel.

Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for me and the reasons I was in town. Great overall experience.

The location is convenient to the major highways, and the service was very good. Everyone was very friendly. Due to the rooms having outdoor entry, we did hear a lot of noise from car doors, rolling suitcases in the parking lot, and people. Overall, we were pleased for the price we paid. It was a cost efficient option in a good location.

Rooms were not dirty but filthy! First room never cleaned at all, second room beds at least made but toilet and floor dirty. Third room not much better, but we were dead tired and we were told there didn't have anything else available. Been staying in Red Roof Inn's for a long time. This was by far the worst ever!

The hotel was renovated in the last year and they did a great job. Pets stay for free here but we couldn't hear anything from our room. Great place to stop on your trip.

Service is extremely bad, took them 10 mins to even notice us. There was 2 people working and only one customer in front of us. They never told us what we could have gotten, the price before hand. They never asked if we wanted Red Roof Inn card. Rooms could use a clean and smelled like cigarettes when it clearly says no smoking. Same as the office. Weren't very friendly either for a hotel staff.

The worst room that I ever see, I checked in and the room it wasn't clean. I don't recommend. To bad but I don't have a choice…

It was great a lot of space so it was more room to decorate for Valentines day. It turned out to be handicap accessible but it didn't bother us at all. We got engaged.

Very affordable rooms, and great Wi-Fi. No breakfast, and the staff wasn't very friendly.

While the rooms were clean and comfortable enough the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I called a couple weeks before our stay to ask for two rooms that were adjacent to each other and were connected by an interior door. I was told that they had two rooms like this and they would be reserved for me. However when I got to the Inn and I was handed my room keys I was told that they were across the parking lot from each other. This was not acceptable and I told the man at the desk that I had reserved rooms that were connected. He just answered me that they don't even have rooms that are connected and they don't reserve rooms and only can give out what is available when you arrive. What is the point in reserving at all I wonder? I continued to press him and he finally did admit that they had two rooms that were connected but they were occupied for the rest of the week. I was offered no discount or refund, just a half harted appology as I walked out the door. Because it was the week of the farm show and all hotels were full we had no option but to stay. I will never be returning to a Red Roof Inn and will gladly pay extra to another hotel that offers better customer service.

My husband and I spend slit of money at red roid inn corporate dr harrisburg pa where miss martin managers a maod whi cursed at me used fowel words and she did not one thing about it if you want to be cursed at stay here miss joanna feels this is okay.

Unpleasant, unsmiling clerk checked us in. Vague directions to our room. Rode around facility a couple times before we found it in the far rear. Parking lot on the dark side. No security feature on outside door, anyone can walk in at any time. Stairway up to the 2nd floor — filthy. We smelled the garbage before we saw the overflowing can at the top of the stairs (which we reported and they emptied). Room small but neat. No fridge or microwave. No pool. Suffocating odor of super bleach or other heavy duty cleaning solution prevailed (took a day to dissipate). TV worked but remote was grubby, as were all the surfaces of the small desk and wall shelf. Clock's time was off a couple hours but was dirty so we didn't touch it. Burned out lightbulb on wall light (reported and fixed). They knew 2 people were booked ahead of time, but towels, shampoo, soap for only 1 person. Checked sheets — rumpled and found hairs (both beds) and what looked like stains. It was nearly midnight so slept fully clothed on top of bed rather than go out in the dark around to the front desk. Left card on pillow to change sheets. They made bed, but sheets were same ones with hairs (got clean sheets from unpleasant desk clerk). Ice bucket — filthy. Shower — plenty of hot water, but bring flip flops. Tub, commode, sink not cleaned well. Towel bar fell off wall. No hairdryer. Bring your own. Air conditioner very noisy and difficult to regulate — clunked all night and kept us awake. Neighbors also a bit noisy.

Its more of a dirty motel. Very dirty. Non smoking rooms smelled like smoke. Bugs, unplugged appliances and you could only plug in one (microwave, etc). Got a new room indoor, and you had even more stains. Lipstick stains on the lamp shades, dirty spots and stains all over the bed and a very dirty carpet. I wish wish could remember everything, besides the dirty window and the warning on the door that was just a bit too frightening in terms of saftey. We got a refund through Travelocity, at least.

Terrible stay! Hallways are filthy from top to bottom and smell musty, rooms have water damage and are hot, air conditioning unit is loud and you're either hot or freezing, carpets are dirty, ice machine was broken, no breakfast except stale cereal! This place reminded me of the movie the shining. The security latch on our door was completely broken and my 2 year old was able to open the door as she pleased! When we finally went to leave NO ONE was at the front desk to take our room keys and a random black male walking around with his hands in his pants! Definitely NOT WORTH STAYING HERE!

The rooms themselves were clean. The hallways smelled not so good. It was easy to get to off the highway. No coffee in the rooms and had no pool. I thought it was a bit high pricewise for what we got but we are not from the area. I might try another hotel before coming back.

Room was clean and comfortable and the front desk clerk was helpful in finding a restaurant and other destinations. Overall, it was a stress-free stay.

It seems that hey always a good reason for not meeting the advertised coupon discount price. In my case, there was a Car Show somewhere around, so instead of $54, the price jumped to $79! I could have gone somewhere else but with the evening traffic becoming quite heavy, I caved in! For that price, they don't even have a fridge in the room and no breakfast. Good Bye Red Roof! You lost another customer to an unfair business practice.

Don't expect any helpfulness from staff here. I'm from NY and lost a wheel bearing on the way home. It won't be fixed by checkout time and they will only give me a half an hour late checkout before they charge me another $68 for Sunday night which I won't be staying. I only stayed here because the Clarion was booked. Won't make that mistake again. Also $68 is way too much for this hotel which offer no breakfast or service of any kind besides crappy coffee. Never again.

Very good deal for price. Updated room, everything worked fine. Rooms are small, I do mean small, but for just an over night a good deal.

Neat and clean. Very good staff. The owner helped me when I needed some help finding something I misplaced. I stayed here twice. Very good for the price. I slept like a baby. When I was there it was busy but very quiet. Coffe and snacks and a good tv.

Reasonably inexpensive, and the room was fine. Starting at 10 pm, another patron was loudly arguing with his wife. It continued until 3:30 am, when right in front of our room the man was beating on the woman against his car. I then had to call police and the front desk. Surprising no one did anything about the noise for about 5 hours. The guy got away, but police responded in minutes. The hotel offered us no compensation or even partial refund for our inconvenience. Didn't feel too safe. No continental breakfast, though for a couple dollars more nearby amenities offer it. Surprisingly few channels with overpriced fees for movies in room. The room otherwise was clean and efficient, and at least the TV was wide screen.

Newly remodeled huge rooms. Slept like a baby. My only concern was the police. Every time I turned my head their was a cop ready to check your papers. Some may find this reassuring but It seems more like nazi Germany to me. For this reason Susquehanna township won't see another dollar of my money. Sorry RedRoof.
