I stayed for a weekend for something like a family reunion about 20-30 of us in total about 7 or 8 rooms we reserved. We were all asked to take covid tests. Which noone checked all of us. They were aware of our large party and for some reason rules changed once we got there. The pool room and game room were supposed to be open 24 hours. The next day they had signs that they were closing early by 11pm. The security named Anthony was very nasty with me and other females in the group, he called the cops on us for asking for 10 more mins to finish a pool game. Technically arcade was supposed to be open 24 hours. The rooms were nothing like what we were told very small. The jacuzzi tub water came out brown. It was disgusting. The stove in our room wouldnt turn off. My mom got burned and we had to call maintenance. The rooms had an odor to them something like mildew. On the day we were supposed to check out by 11 am. We got a bang on the door at 8 am by "the manager" her name was Laura, she told us that we needed to be out by 9am and that "we are lucky she was too drunk to drive to the hotel to kick us all out. " how unprofessional. They made @least $3000. With my family and literally treated us all like trash. Hope no1 experiences what we went threw. Not a good spot for large group at all. They are 3 star for a reason.

This place was so dirty and unsanitary! The bed sheets had stains on them and pieces of food on the bed sheets from the previous guest. The carpets were so dirty and outdated. The hot tub at the royal suite was so dirty that the water came out completely brown. The electric stove would not turn off which lead to someone getting burned. They didn't have any cleaning maintenance people cleaning our rooms yet they had the audacity to leave an envelope on the table for us to leave them a tip! smh False advertisement on the size of the rooms. I can go on for days about this place.

Been coming here since 1995! Great place to relax and great location! Only place I know with awesome indoor pool/hot tub/shuffle board/pool table open 24/7. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Dawn! Perfect for families to enjoy.

We stayed for a weekend getaway for my son's birthday. Royal suite was nice and clean. Very spacious. Beds firm. Sleep sofa tolerable.
Loved the very hot — hot tubs and pool was decent. Main issue was with water in shower and bathtub. Went to take a bath in the jacuzzi tub and turned it on and water spit out brown. So skipped the bath. Stand up separate shower water was unregulatable! No matter what you did, water went from scalding hot to ice cold and everything in between. Temperature changed like every few seconds. Kids tolerated a super quick shower but I couldn't even try to shower with that unpredictable water! Nothing could be done. Mentioned at check out and they had no idea even though I called and told the night desk help. Other people at check out had similar problems including toilet flushing issues! Elevator was small and tough to manage luggage rack. Driveway/parking lot was a sheet of ice that had very been plowed from a previous snow/ice storm. Overall, it was a tolerable place to sleep since that is pretty much all we did there. Royal suite has fully stocked kitchen, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher. Full size refrigerator which was nice. Lastly, we did not use the pool area the last night we were there because some other adults had many liquor bottles open and set up on table by pool and some intoxicated people and just didn't want to have my kids around that. Made them uncomfortable too when we walked past it.

I really liked this place. We booked it at the last minute, and it wasn't a bad plan at all. Would recommend this place.

I needed the room overnight to go white water rafting with my family. The mini suite offered a kitchen a bedroom and a Murphy bed. We liked the spacious room and pool. Maybe they will consider an update to the interior one day (it's a little dated) other than that I'm sure we will be staying here again in the future.

Very clean and comfortable. I didn't see a bug, dust, mold, dirt. All the appliances were clean. Bed was very comfortable. No odors. A few carpet stains. Great staff and service. Pool was perfect. Had a little baby pool. High quality gym with a sauna. Just a little dated but that's the charm of the Poconos. We had a mini suite wherein the bedroom did not have a window. But we slept just fine. The spot was quiet and wooded. Nice stable with horse riding in walking distance.

Quaint country charm. Dated, but well kept. Close to everything. Nice pool is open 24 hrs! Great staff. Clean rooms. Recommended for all.

Really not too bad of a place to stay but… The Wi-Fi is marginal at best (at least where we were staying at — mini suite 9). The suite we were in had been renovated but the new fridge quit working and it had to be swapped out. Pool is very nice, the staff was very nice. Probably would stay there again if we ever go back to the area. Be aware, the interstate roads around there are horrible — even worse than western PA where we are from! Some of the 2 lane back country roads were in much better shape.

Went to a scooter club rally there the rooms were nice and the pool was clean. A little cleaning on the hot tub in the corner would be nice but other then that it was great.

We love it here! Close to all area attractions, friendly, helpful staff and you can't beat the heated pool open 24 hours.

I've stayed in a ton of hotels in my life… And this place honestly blew me away. 24hr pool. Game room. The staff are very accommodating. Amazing place.

My hotel room looks very nice! The front desk people are nice, the pool is relaxing, even ping pong is so fun!

My family had a time share here for 20 years when I was growing up, approximately 1980-2000. My dad refused the offer to buy in because of the lack of maintenance despite the fees and we were tired of it. My brother thought it would be a good idea to bring our kids last April. We got 3 Royal Suite rooms and stayed two nights. They were so accommodating with check in and check out, and went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. Because of this, we were happy to take them up on their New Year's package. We got another 3 Royal Suites for two nights. We did not have the same experience this time as we did last time. The ladies at the front desk were not nearly as accommodating or helpful as the ones in April. The other staff was still pretty awesome though. However, with the late check in time and early check out doesn't really make it worth staying here to use their accommodations. They have redone a lot (I remember orange and brown carpeting on the walls! ) but it's still not quite there yet. The kids had fun since they didn't have to deal with the nitty gritty. Maybe we will book again for spring break, but then again maybe not. If we had received the same service we had gotten in April, we could overlook the bulging, leaky ceiling tiles above the pool and other such issues.

We have been coming here for years. They gave made significant upgrades. The one thing that brings the rating down is the Speak Easy pub. If you have room over this horrendous place, do not expect to get to sleep until they close. The majority of the clientele in the pub appear to be locals. So they don't care about Carriage House guests. The obnoxiously loud music on Friday night played until after 1 a. M. We are timeshare owners here. But will probably never come back here again.

The room was a suite on the 4th floor. It was nicely remodeled and the staff was fantastic. I love it as a time share a lot more than if I was renting a room at a Regular hotel.

Been coming here since 1995 and it's a great place to get away for a week. They offer many activities for the little ones. Arcade is passable but can be improved. Swimming pool and hot tub is nice to relax. Gym and sauna is great. Reason why I'm rating this 4/5 is there needs to be several costly repairs including the parking lot with several pot holes at the entrance and the elevator that barely works needs to be drastically replaced. Need to push/slam in the elevator door just to get it to automatically close and operate correctly. I find that a safety issue in my opinion. The room we were in had leaky windows so cold air was coming through. I don't know what happened to them getting all replaced a few years ago. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and housekeeping does a good job at keeping the place clean.

This place is delightful. Our group of 10 had a blast this weekend. Halloween Party, wine glass painting and pumpkin picking. Staff is so nice. If you are looking for a laid back place. This is it.

Worst place/hotel resort I ever stay. Dirty Dirty Dirty. Staff seemed very nice but my kids being kids made to much noise for them. One lady had me my wife and kids put out in the middle of the night by local law enforcement. Worst experience ever not worth it. And watch like a criminal. (Racist) under tone.

A very quiet place, but not a lot of kid friendly activities on the grounds. The worst thing about this place, is the fact that they only give out clean towels 2x a week. Definitely a turnout, don't think we'll be returning to this place.

Cute place, nice pool. Good area, very nice employees. Bathroom door doesn't quite close all the way, not enough pool towels available, bathtub drain doesn't work properly. Still, very nice for what you pay for it, though I wish the walls were thicker. Could easily hear other people yelling or moving stuff around.

My family comes up here every summer for vacation. The rooms are clean, nice, and spacious, and the amenities are nice. The indoor pool is good even when it's raining, and it has hot tubs and a nice lounge area. There are pool tables and puzzles to put together.

Its a great getaway from being around the city life. My family and I go every year. To me I love sitting on the balcony breathing the fresh air.

We had a fantastic time! Our family went for a long weekend with friends. We arrived Friday evening and the ease of checkin was wonderful! Staff was very friendly! Our friends are owners there, so we were "warned" ahead of time that some parts of the resort are a little outdated. While, yes that is true, we were still pleasantly surprised! The carpet definitely needs redone, but you can't do that until the renovations are done. It was still CLEAN. No mold in the bathroom or calk missing. No wholes in the walls or chipped paint like we have experienced at newer resorts. Our three boys, who are addicted to their electronics, didn't use them the entire weekend! The resort has its own mini movie theatre. Families can have their own private screenings of any movie the resort has or watch one of the cable channels. We spent hours playing ping pong (who would have thought 10-14 year old boys would enjoy that? ), the pool area is awesome!, we cooked in our fully stocked kitchens to save on money, they have a nice patio with lots of grills and tables and chairs, we spent a lot of time outside on the wooden rockers while our boys were in the pool (we could watch them through the windows. I could go on about how relaxing and fun the weekend was! Bottom line… don't go expecting the Ritz (at least not yet, renovations are a slow process, but they have some great ideas they are working on), but it is a great resort for families! We already plan to stay a week next year!

This is our 2nd year hear. We love the setting here. Has a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Kitchen in the rooms makes it convenient. The mattress could use a pillow top.
