I’ve been sitting in the lobby here waiting to check in for almost 2 hours now after I called the hotel multiple times about my arrival time making sure I was allset and they said that I would be. There is absolutely no staff here at all. And there’s no way to contact anyone either. Absolutely horrible experience so far and I’m VERY UPSET.

Always comfortable rooms. Stayed here many times.

I had to switch my room due to a party room across the hall. Than my 2nd room neighbors smoked both cigarettes and weed. I'm cool with all of that, but I had my son with me. When we left a day early, we weren't even asked why or how our stay was, nor did they give me a discount for any of these issues.

It was our 2nd time there and we loved it!

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well kept. Close to Sesame Place. The pool was refreshing. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you!

Clean spacious rooms and very quiet with no smells in the room or hallways. Water pressure worked greatt. All the electronics in the room worked. Staff was super friendly. Love the location. Felt safe.

Definitely recommend this hotel. That staff were very friendly and let us check out at 2pm. We parked an entire van and trailer in the parking lot. Had breakfast in the morning. Microwave is located in the lobby. Gave us waters when we asked. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a nice stay at Holiday Inn Express outside of Philly. It is a quiet, comfortable hotel. The room was super clean and the bedding was soft. Check in and parking were easy. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's super easily located but in a quiet spot with nature all around it. Near the highway and lots of shops. Our room was spotlessly clean. The front staff were lovely to us. Beds soft. Really liked the choice in types of pillow firmness. Felt right at home.

Staff helpful and friendly. Good location. Lots of families at the pool. This is an older facility and the age shows in some areas. No towel racks in bathroom. Outside doors weren't secure.

(PLEASE READ THE UPDATED PORTION! ) … I absolutely love this hotel. The best and most helpful staff, and the comfort and cleanliness is spectacular. You're centrally located to SO much. A definite must stay for everyone! **Update: a change from last time we were here. This was horrible. AC unit was leaking so much water the carpet was flooded & squishy. There were tiny ants all over the unit, and in the bathroom. The best touch was the day of our departure, nobody forewarned us that the elevators were out, and we'd have to haul ALL our luggage and selves down 5 flights of stairs. I gave them notice the day before that the elevators were NOT working well at all, to which we were given the excuse that they were fine… that someone on another floor was holding the doors too long. The woman that was working the front desk was very rude, didnt offer any help or solutions to the fact that I have a serious disabling injury and stairs like that are not possible, and my 70yr old mother who had a massive heart attack 2years ago, a long with her severely arthritic knees and hips wouldn't be able to catch that kind of stairs. She just said "I dont know what to tell you, we've contacted the repair company and are at their mercy". Really nice response. No, I believe there will be a longer thought process next time in where to go. Be warned as well.

I just would not recommend this hotel. A few positives about this place: Easy access to get on/off I-95. The pressure of the water for showers was nice and the hot water got hot. Both are important! The bed was firm, but not overly so. Now the negative: I stayed two nights, but was hardly there and still experienced not pleasant stuff. The first night, one elevator did not work. The second night, both elevators did not work. It is a three story hotel, but after walking NYC for the day, I was not too thrilled to walk upstairs to my room. I was beyond exhausted, in need of food and sleep. This place is not close to food options, except McDonald's,, which I needed real substance food. I had no energy to drive anywhere, which would be over 20 minutes one way to get to. (Even the hotel staff acknowledge there is no close place. ) Not even a grocery store nearby. Now the AC. I had the thermostat turned down to 60 degrees and it was okay, but I should not have to turn it as low as possible to be okay. I am from Florida. I am used to heat, but setting it so low meant something wrong with the system. The second day, there was scheduled water turn off to fix a valve. Then it was later cancelled. (I would not have been there anyway if it was turned off since I was in NYC. ) While here on my second evening, I heard another guest complaining. His seemed about the little stuff, but to hear someone else complain is not a good sign, either.

We stayed for three days (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday). I deducted a star because the breakfast area needed extra attention on Sunday (to be expected). My family decided to get coffee and donuts from Dunkin Donuts that day. Too many guest and the staff was either under staffed or lacking to keep up with the demand. Breakfast for the remaining days were optimal. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The accommodations are clean. The beds are comfortable. My only gripe is weekend breakfast… the staff should prepare for high traffic on the weekends, especially when they know that they've sold out. Otherwise, great accommodations. And if you're not counting on the free breakfast — the accommodations are a perfect 5!

The Holiday Inn in Bensalem was an exceptional hotel. The breakfast was good and I'm always happy when the hotel breakfast ends at 10am, instead of 9/930. They have a clean and functional fitness center and the location wasn't so secluded we couldn't walk to get a decent lunch. Very pleased with this hotel.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express in Bensalem was fantastic as usual. This being my second stay there and with multiple folks in my crew. The hospitality was spot on and front desk was extremely kind and courteous upon my late check in, which wasn't a problem at all! The room was amazing, including a living room suite with pullout couch and plenty of amenities, including coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The king size bedrooms had their own separate room that was really quiet. Even with the hotel being very busy this night they had ample parking and there were zero disruptions. It's an extremely quite hotel! The location offered many nice places to and dine and check out. Housekeeping were very courteous… extremely nice folks and really went out of their way to help us with all of our requests. If you're in the area or plan on being in the area and want a great hotel this one is definitely worth staying at!

Great location, breakfast was delicious, room with sofa bed in separate section made it so great for our toddler. Best part was to get the sesame place package. We will be back!

I stayed at a holiday inn express and I loved it! The rooms were spacious and clean, beds were soft, and the staff were super friendly. The property was tucked away yet very close to the interstate and several restaurants. I will def return.

It was decent. The room smelled like smoke (it was a non-smoking room), but it was clean. It had a satisfactory complimentary breakfast in the morning.

April 2 2018 I came to work clocked in at 5am. I made breakfast for the hotel kept things nice & clean. At 9:50am I went in the back to get my cleaning supplies my manager Alicia asked me to come in her office. She said to me I am sooo sorry I have to terminate you because Celia wants me to give you 10 points for calling out because my 1 year old was very sick on Easter! I asked if I could stay & finish my shift she said sure! I returned to getting my cleaning supplies & headed out to the kitchen! About 2 min later she was walking out of the back with one of my former coworkers telling me I didn’t have to finish! So I got my phone out & called my ride as I walked to the back to clock out! Once I returned to the lobby she was standing at the front desk & said oh your forgetting the apron! With everything that had transpired I forgot I had it on! There was guest in the lobby & coworkers present! I felt completely humiliated! Just to leave & receive a phone call from Alicia & Celia apologizing because it was a mistake on their behalf & I was offered to come back! I had every intention on going back but Alicia stated that she owed me a big hug! I found that very offensive & unprofessional! I was very good to this company for the short time I worked for them! I did house keeping & kitchen stayed late some days & helped others when I was asked! I really didn’t deserve the way I was treated! Aisha M Wheeler.

We were welcomed in warmly to a clean, well-maintained room. The bathroom was neat and tidy with several amenities. The small kitchenette area had a Keurig machine. We enjoyed that so very much! I like the mini shelf next to the mini refrigerator because we were able to store things for our comfort and our children's needs. The beds were firm and that is how we like it. The only problem that we experienced was in the morning when someone burnt toast so bad it set off the fire alarm. To compensate we were allowed one hour extra check out. The only thing that other guests had ruined was the smell in the hallway from all the marijuana smoking. All in all the staff work great and we appreciated the many amenities that were offered.

We didn’t explore outside of the hotel because we were treated to the delicious complimentary breakfast which was over expectations. Super friendly staff and clean rooms; everything we love and expect from the HIE brand. Wish we had time to enjoy the awesome pool. An amazing amount of parking; we had no problem parking our sprinter and trailer. This hotel is a great value for the area and very quiet and peaceful; couldn’t have had a better time… I’ll bring my artists to this hotel anytime we are playing in Philly. Totally grateful to all of the amazing staff with more hospitality than expected. Thanks!

A great stay! Our 2 rooms with king beds weren’t available when we arrived so the front desk person upgraded us to 2 queen bed suites for the inconvenience. They are in a great location with plenty of shopping and restaurants in walking distance and only a few miles from Parx Casino. Also, I love the bath and body works toiletries! Great stay for a great price!

Not much has changed since it was Hampton Inn. Jacuzzi tubs are really old. I worked in this hotel more than 10 years ago doing maintenance. Hotel rooms are kept pretty clean and fresh for a lower scale hotel. Couches are nit designed to be sat on. Uncomfortable isn't the word. Beds are pretty fine. I suggest bringing your own pillow. They are clean, but once you lay your head on them its paper thin. (These things do change over time but we stayed here recently. ) Hotel tip. Comforters are very rarely washed. First thing to do on check in is call and ask for fresh comforters. They will be happy to oblige. Customer service is more than decent. They try. Even when I have seen people unhappy to no end, they arent the owners and its important to remember the people to lay into are he people running the property. But! I see no legitimate reason here that will make you disappointed.

Nice hotel. Clean and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast. The only problem we had was the coffee pot. Someone had messed up the pot. I can't blame the hotel.

Another fabulous stay at this Holiday Inn Express was what I expected and exactly what I got. From the friendly late night check-in hospitality through a delicious breakfast, the visit was great. The spacious and comfortable room had plenty of space to stretch out and relax after a long day of travel and the location is quiet for restful sleeping. Never ending hot water for the morning shower and the complimentary breakfast got the next day off to a great start. Taking our time to check out gave a couple in our traveling party the opportunity to walk across the parking lot to a Bob Evans for lunch. All in all, this property has proved to be a great place for me in the Philly area.

Holiday Inn Bensalem in Philadelphia had some of the best breakfast choices I've seen and tasted in awhile. Really enjoyed the whole selection of yogurts! Also, the coffee was top notch. The room I stayed in felt a bit like home and was quite relaxing. They were super accommodating and provided us with toiletries we forgot at home. Would recommend!

I love Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia in Bensalem! My room was neat, clean, and spacious, and housekeeping was immediately on hand when I needed additional linens. The staff was overwhelmingly accommodating, kind, and knowledgeable. Their breakfast spread is ample and delicious, especially the fresh pancake maker! It was also near everything I needed in Philly, and right beside restaurants and shopping. There was also a pool, clean gym, and plenty convenient spaces to relax outside of the room. I love this hotel and will be sure to use it every time I visit Philly again!

This Holiday Inn was great. The desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was easy to find. When we entered the room, there was a minor problem with the air conditioner. The lady at the front desk changed our room without any issues. Beds were very comfortable and shower pressure was perfect. The complimentary breakfast was amazing.

Our client Ron Herron is a traveling comedian who recently stayed at this property while on tour using our services. He was very happy to report how awesome the stay was! The staff was very accommodating to his late hours check-in and the room was perfectly clean and quiet. The fitness room and free breakfast in the morning were awesome, and it was a very short drive to downtown Philly!

Pros: Decent sized room, decent price, friendly staff Cons: Room had a strong stench of human urine, only one of the two business center computers printed documents (very, very slow computer too), worst iron ever, hotel needs updating, very limited breakfast or so seemed, three cop cars in front of hotel on Friday night, loud teenagers outside room on a Thursday night! If you are staying in town for business, I do not recommend this hotel. If you are visiting the area and need something cheap, it is a possibility but airbnb may be a better option.

I always stay at this Holiday Inn Express the day before we head to Sesame Place, It is by far one of the best. The pool is excellent there is plenty of parking, the rooms are always clean and the AC feels like a meat locker which is good for a fat boy such as myself. The complimentary breakfast is also excellent they offer a variety of muffins, juices, fresh fruit, cereals, fresh milk, and the pancake machine is one of a kind. All in all it is a great place I would recommend it to anyone anyday.

Better breakfast food than expected. I like the cinnamon rolls. Beds are nice and the single bed rooms have a solid amount of space. Room cleaning service does a great job. The hallways smell kind of weird, and my co-worker had a leak in their room.

Quiet and clean modern rooms. Very comfortable beds. It's easy to sleep here. Nice breakfast selection. Two minutes from 95. I'll be back when I have business in the area.

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Bensalem. It's in a great location, and the fresh design style grabs your eye upon entering. We were greeted immediately with a smile and prompt service even though we arrived after midnight. The spacious and well appointed rooms were spotless as if brand new or very recently revamped, and the beds super comfortable. After a lovely rest, we got up early for a great breakfast and hit the rad pool area and fitness center before hitting the road. A super clean and convenient hotel for a quick stop, or I could see staying here with the kids for a longer stay visiting family and taking in the sights and history of the greater Philadelphia area.

It’s entirely possible that Pennsylvania has some of the nicest people in America and the Holiday Inn Express in Bensalem made sure to hire the best they could find for their staff. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly welcoming faces. It was also nice to see such an open and modern lobby a breakfast area. Check-in was a breeze. We didn’t waste much time getting to our room because we were enticed by the pool that was in front of the property. Normally an outdoor pool at a hotel would make me wrinkle my nose but this pool was so well kept and clean my family and I couldn’t wait to get in. It was even warm enough outside and in the water to enjoy. We were lucky to catch good weather. The one day we did have torrential down pours and our plans to the zoo were rained-out a lovely woman at the front desk suggested the Please Touch Museum which I’d never heard of before. We went and our entire family had a wonderful time. She saved the day! And I cannot recommend it enough for parents of young children. *Also know that if you’re a member of another Children’s Museum they may be part if the Children’s Museum Association, which means significant discounts for your family. Our actual room was perfect for a family of four. It was clean and we were so grateful for the fridge — which with young kids we definitely used.

This is a great hotel for anyone who needs to be close to Philly but wants an affordable stay. I called the day of my reservation requesting an early check-in and they were able to accommodate without any issues, which I really appreciated! My friend and I had a great stay in the room—everything was clean and comfortable, and we loved that there was a door separating the bedroom from the living area with a sleeper sofa. One of the best things about this and all Holiday Inn Express properties is the free breakfast and free Wi-Fi — both came in very handy. Although we didn't get a chance to use it, there was a pool in the front of the hotel that looked super clean and was open until 9 pm. Across the street, I noticed a bunch of shops, a grocery store, and a Dunkin Donuts with a drive thru window, so everything you need is right there in the vicinity. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the area.

This hotel was very nice and I highly recommend it. It was actually a lot nicer than other Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at in the past. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very hospitable. The beds were so comfortable I really didn't want to wake up and leave in the morning.

Great experience. Clean, safe, and friendly. What more can you ask for? We travel on the road alot and there is nothing more we love then spending the night in a comfy hotel. We will be back!

Had a great experience at this HIE location. The room was comfortable and very clean! On top of that, I really enjoyed the ability to get a little work in before checking out the next morning at their Internet workstation. It's nice to be able to have access to the web other than only working from a cell phone or tablet. I checked out the fitness room and wish I had the time to get some exercise, but my schedule did not allow. Nice facility, though. A couple of other nice touches were the outdoor patio area for breakfast and the Keurig coffee maker in the room. I would definitely suggest this place.

Average to above average hotel. Lauren who worked the front desk during the evening was extremely helpful and pleasant.

I had a wonderful stay at here. The room was a mini suite with a large living room area, desk and wet bar area with a mini fridge. The bedroom was separate and had a very comfortable bed, spotless sheets plenty of lighting and an extra arm chair for additional seating. An hour after checking in the front desk clerk, Amethyst, checked to see how the room was and if there were any restaurants in the area she could recommend. So sweet! Especially since I had an issue with my travel and they had no problem extended my reservation an extra day. The complementary breakfast included eggs, turkey and pork sausage, baked goods, cereal, cereal, pancakes, yogurt and juice. Also fresh fruit. The location is close to some shopping and right off the expressway so its very easy to find. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Holiday Express in Bensalem last weekend. I really liked that it was near a variety of places to eat, and close enough to walk to. The staff was extremely nice, and helpful. The entire place from lobby to room was clean. The room was a suite, which is always nice. My stay there was very comfortable and pleasant, and the only suggestion I have is that if you like sleeping on flatter pillows, you should bring it with you. The pillows here are all huge! If thats what you like, this place is perfect!

I had an excellent weekend stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Bensalem, PA. The halls and parking lot were quiet throughout my stay. The room was modern and comfortable with free Wi-Fi, working heat/air conditioning, and two tvs. There are plenty of stores and restaurants close by, and it is seconds away from the I-95 to get you to the heart of Philadelphia. The free breakfast is full of excellent, fresh options, and they keep it well stocked even when it is busy. Everyone I talked to was extremely helpful and welcoming. Coffee is available in the lobby, and I was given extra, soap, towels, etc without any issues. This is a very clean, peaceful hotel, and I will be sure to stay here again next time I am in town.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express could not have been better. After a long day of driving, the staff was kind enough to bring us a folding cot for our extra guest at no charge. Breakfast was hot and fresh, and as always, the room was very clean. The guy at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful as well!

Very friendly staff and very nice rooms — there was plenty of parking even though the hotel was full. This location is about 15 minutes from downtown Philly. Far enough away so it is quiet and peaceful but close enough so that you don;t have to drive for along time to get to where you wanna go.

The rooms are fantastic. I think what really makes this place a great place to stay though is the staff. The man at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. If I had to sum up my stay in one word it would be "pleasant. "

Very noisy hotel a power hungry manager thinks its her hotel and tells guest to get out becuase they complain about noise place has multiple weddings and allows the guest to make as much noise at any hour of the day or night most employees are great except this one manager who is on a power hungry trip employees scared of her pizza boxes in the hallway, a microwave and garbage outside the room doors at 9 pm Saturday when I got back to my room, they were still there at 9 am Sunday along with additional trash thrown all over hallways by guest if you stay there do not complain they will throw you out and tell you not to book again they dont want your business.

Total Scam. If you ever intend to stay at the Holiday Inn on Bristol Pike Bensalem, PA. Please keep track of your account. One A good friend of mine we've been going there for years. And he is an ICP member. The reservations was booked under his name. We never got charge incidentals in the pass that I know of. And if so not 50.00. So he paid cash for the room. And I used my card for the incidentals because we were told the incidentals has be done on a card. Following morning we left. Three days later I checked my account which I do very often, just to make sure everything stays in order. Found out I got charged 50.00 dollars incidentals that night and the following morning. 74.26. After calling the Hotel and they looked into it and called me back they apologized and I was told it will take 48 to 72 business days to be refunded. Almost a week later. Account still have not been refunded. Call back and just so happened to get the guy who checked us in that day. And was told he is the manager. I Find that very unacceptable. A manager and didn't know how to properly bill a Customer? it was Paid in cash! Yet my card got doubled charged! which means if I didn't check my account when I did they would have held on to the extra 120.00. I know the economy is bad and all but ripping people off for your own personal benefits is pretty low blow.
