We stayed here in late May 2018. Due to their policy, we were worried that because we arrived late that they would have given our room away, which in fact they did, but was so courteous to give us an upgraded room which turned out to be better than we expected! After having several horrible events happen to us that day, it was such a relief to be able to stay someplace that we could relax, wind-down & forget about the problems of the day! The entire place has been renovated and our room was very clean and it was so nice & quiet. The breakfast bar had a nice variety and the food tasted better than expected. Unlike many motels, they have a nice comfortable area to sit and enjoy your breakfast or just to sit & relax. The friendly man (I wish I could remember his name) that helped us with the check in & check out the following day, was the most pleasant & sincere employee we have ever encountered at any motel we have stayed at over the years! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel with incredibly clean rooms. Didn't get to use the pool, but breakfast was great. Lots of options. Staff was friendly and helpful. A great stay.

This Holiday Inn is in a bit of an odd location. It feels very disconnected from the brand. I checked in after 10pm and the woman at the desk made it clear that I was interrupting her evening which is always disappointing. The room was okay, but some of the room appointments were missing. A bulb was it in the vanity, there were no tissues in the room, there were no coffee cups, and most distressingly, there were no full sized towels in the bathroom which I didn't discover until after I took my shower. No one thing in its own is that big of a deal, but together it points to a lack of management oversight. When I pointed the missing items out on checkout the woman at the front desk basically shrugged off my concerns. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because I think it's going to go downhill quickly.

Nice hotel. Cool room. Clean and a decent breakfast.

I stayed with my family over the weekend and there was a lot to do in the area. There was an ice cream shop next door that was recommended by the person at the front desk and it had something for each of us. Before we left we had breakfast at the hotel and the woman from the kitchen was awesome. Overall the hotel environment was very inviting. Kudos!

I was very surprised when getting to my room. It was spacious and CLEAN. Our room looked new, they seemed to be recently remodeled or updated. The staff was friendly. No complaints here, would return next time I’m in the area.

Nice cosy in newly refurbished Holiday Inn Express. As usual for IHG brand the place is clean the rooms are luxurious in well equipped the beds are comfortable and everything that you may need or ask for can be obtained at the front desk. Nice little pool and fitness center. The breakfast is fine lots of parking and easy access from the road.

Service was excellent. Front desk attendant was both professional and personable. Room was clean and rates were good for a last minute booking. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel! The staff was very nice, the manager was super amazing. Whenever we asked a question he answered nicely and not rude. Even though I was here for the unfortunate flooding incident, I still came. I recommend strongly.

I called to make a reservation. I am disgusted how it somehow lead into manipulation to join a timeshare. Be careful of this dishonest company!

It's really upsetting that a hotel with no power, no hot water, and no internet is charging $100 for a room during a snow storm. Majority of the people coming to hotels right now are residents of the city and have no power and can't get to their houses because the roads are closed due to fallen trees. Kind of ridiculous.

I was up in East Stroadburg for my mom she was dying with cancer. I rented 2 rooms one for myself and my young son the other for my oldest brother and his wife. I was happy they gave us a decent rate and we were happy at the start trying to make the best of a horrible situation. I told the young lady after 3 days 2 rooms the second was not needed for Friday night this was on Thursday I also asked for my single room for Saturday and was assured on Friday morning I had the second room. I was charged for the second room for the 4th night plus we were told that Saturday night room. Was gone and had to check out by this time my my was on home hospice and had no where to stay. I had given my number to the clerk James and was promised the manager would call me. No one called me period after I paid for really 8 nights stay (should have been 7) plus I had to leave pa on Saturday and my dying mother. It was horrible. I hope the employees who caused myself and my family this pain at a difficult time can learn a lesson about how to comfort people in a difficult time. I also am placing this negative post because it's been one full week since I was promised a phone call. Also don't disrespect a family in a time of tragedy. Keep my money for the extra night my brother and his wife checked out of on Friday morning for that Friday night. Guess money is what only matters sad.

The bed was so comfortable! Pool was heated. TV was nice. Breakfast was subpar from usual holiday Inn express. Staff was friendly. Would definitely go back. Location was great!

This was my first poor experience with a Holiday Inn Express. The room was dirty when we arrived and had obviously restocked and picked up but not cleaned. Subsequent cleanings were not markedly different and often did not restock the bathroom's supplies. The shower was lukewarm. I informed the front desk but it was not fixed until the last day of our stay. We watched the person running the continental breakfast rummaging around in the trash with her bare hands and then touching food without washing! Suffice it to say that we ate out for breakfast for the rest of our stay. Additionally, the facilities were all out of service; the hot tub's jets didn't work and most of the machines in the fitness center were broken. On top of all that, the in room air conditioners are loud and wake you regularly throughout the night. The desk staff were very polite, friendly, and seemed genuinely contrite when I complained about the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately, that didn't change our experience. Either the service staff are understaffed to the breaking point or simply don't care about the quality of their work (for whatever reason). The one nice point was that the beds themselves were very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was pretty decent, too, although the lease time was very short (meaning you had to log in several times a day on each device). It did not block VPN usage either.

Very nice place and good breakfast but I went to check out early and was forced to pay for my last days stay if you go here get your dates exact or you will be losing money.

The hotel itself was fine, the management is HORRIBLE. I left an item behind that I tried to get back and they confirmed the next day that they had. They never returned it and then turned around and said they didn't have it (so pretty much threw it out) and then basically told upper management that I was a liar and refused to refund me the $ for my item. This manager Maurice, lied through his teeth to upper management about what went down and his contact with me. I will never be staying in this hotel again. I have never witnessed such horrible and incompetent customer service. How he is still a manager is beyond me!

Stayed here for four nights and had a very positive experience. From the sales manager, to the front desk, and the housekeepers. Had an issue with our fridge that was promptly fixed. The rooms are big and clean. It was nice to have a sitting area in our room. We will return.

Free breakfast is pretty good. The bed was big and comfortable. The couch in our room had some stains on it. The bed sheets and covers are pilled, but clean. Fridge worked fine, and the bathroom was clean.

No frills place to stay in the stroudsburg area. The room I was given was not good though as the laundry and mechanical room were right across. There were constant sounds of doors opening and closing throughout the night and into the morning. There was also hair on the bedsheets.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites is an amazing hotel. I love the fact that the hotel is really clean and the employees helps all the guests really well. The room they gave us was amazing because everything was clean. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel also has a gym which I like to do and it also has a pool and a jacuzzi. Everybody has a great time in the hotel. The hotel is comfortable and really nice.

Nice room, friendly staff & gluten free bagels. Would recommend! (Only downside: the frig in the room is pretty small, so if you have a big cooler… you'll need to use the ice machine)

This may be the nicest hotel in the area, but it is far from the stars everyone reports. First walked into the room, towels in the bathroom were on the floor (clean towels). We (boyfriend and I) booked the room with the jacuzzi so we can relax after hiking. The jacuzzi was hard to figure out due to no directions and when we did figured it out, we realized the overflow was broken and we fixed it! The AC is on full blast of 60 and the hallway is on 68 but colder. The grand finale was the bed and pillows. I've never had such an uncomfortable bed in my life. When you go away and your bed at home is more comfortable, that's a problem especially since we went hiking. Did I mention the mental sediments coming from the jets in the jacuzzi? That too. We only stayed three nights, and we feel like we need to go to a chiropractor after this. Two stars, breakfast is decent and the hotel is moderately clean.

Never stay in Holiday Inn's, but this place really hit the mark. Rooms were well appointed with sitting area and eating area. Bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Used the common area for a meeting with co-worker and was very comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Nice hotel but check in did not go very smooth. Outside that no complaints.

The room was great. Very friendly staff. Even though, check in is at 3 p. M. They let us check in a bit earlier, which was great. Check out is at 11a. M. There is complimentary breakfast until 10a. M. They're is a pool open 6a. M. To 10p. M. The room was clean, had a nice layout, sink, microwave, kerurig machine, little table, couch etc. Free Wi-Fi, and TV with enough channels. Hotel was close to restaurants, casino, mountain to ski and much more. Will return.

Everything was nice except a little bit noisy hall ways from our neighbors. The breakfast was very nice and the hotel staff was friendly.

My son and I had a great experience at this hotel. Everything was clean, all of the front desk staff were helpful and professional, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice perk. There is a diverse and nice clientele here, and a lot of families with small, well behaved children. The pool and jacuzzi are open until 10 or 11pm, as is the gym, and there is a free business center with a printer for patrons' convenience. A complimentary USA Today paper is available, and there is an attractive sitting area next to where they provide the breakfast. There are free local and long distance calls, and check out is a breeze with absolutely no surprise charges (even though I was 13 minutes late checking out). Each room is privately climate controlled, so you will be comfortable no matter which temperature you are comfortable at. The best part? The luxurious beds and bedding and the, flat screen TV with HDMI and USB outlets, and free reliable Wi-Fi in each room. For the price and service, you just cannot beat HIE Stroudsburg. To note, there is an amazing and very reasonably priced restaurant called Landmark Cafe only 4 miles away in East Stroudsburg, and Camelback Water Park is 25 minutes away. Our absolute favorite attraction was Pocono TreeVenture, which was pricey at $50 per person, but worth every penny.

My father and I are staying here for the next couple days for work. After one horrible day of staying at the Staybridge Suites, about 10 minutes from here, we decided to stay here instead. Coming from one hotel to this one, it's like night and day. This hotel is wonderful. The staff is amazingly friendly and so helpful. One of the housekeepers that clean up the breakfast buffet even went out of her way to get me somethings to eat, even though it was after 10 and breakfast had ended at 9:30. Not to mention the ladies at the front desk are especially friendly. They did everything they could to help us which is 100x more than the other hotel did. Rooms are great and so clean. The quality is amazing as well. I have not used it yet, but the pool is also clean and looks very nice. So far, our stay has been overall amazing and I definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the area.
