Hellish stay. At 11:30 p. M. Someone tried to force their way into my room. It started with a knock, which I first ignored. Then whoever was on the other side of the door started trying to force the handle. I screamed, "I don't know who you are, go the f*ck away! " and they again attempted to force the handle. I called the front desk to get help and demanded they get the police. The rooms have a serious security flaw with the older rooms — when engaging the deadbolt, there is a sign that says "occupied" and when you leave the room, it says "vacant. " This is a great way for someone physically outside the room to know you are in or not in the room. The next morning, the water was shut off. Because I booked through a third party, management didn't/couldn't do anything. I'm out the money if I stay or go, and I'm writing this review to try and save you from a terrible, unsafe location. If you look through my other reviews, you'll see I rarely leave negative feedback unless it's egregious, and this place was beyond the pale.

First of all, stop over-pricing your motel! I've stayed at your motel and paid less than $60 per night. Now, you're pricing it like it's a 5-star resort. I was looking for accommodations for the 2019 graduation and saw your price on Hotels. Com. Really, $500-$800 per night?! For that price, I was able to find a beautiful house that's a mile from the school … for half the price! Wow, bad business strategy!

First I should say that it appeared to be under renovation at the time of my stay. Hopefully some of its issues will be mitigated. Pros: Location is excellent. Not far from campus, and there's plenty of food, drink, etc within walking distance if one is reasonably mobile. The furnishings are nice. There is a laundry room. The place is pretty quiet. The price wasn't bad. Cons: Just don't even look into this place if you use a wheelchair. Assuming you could even get through a door, the rooms are so full of furniture you wouldn't be able to move. There is no handicap parking and there are no loading zones. More cons: While the furniture is nice, it is arranged badly. I was tempted to move everything. The TV is way off center to the bed and there wasn't much room between a tall piece and a chair to actually get to the bathroom. Although the establishment is now fully not-smoking, you can still smell remnants of old smoke. One of the power outlets didn't work. tl;dr it's okay if you don't ask for much as long as you don't use a wheelchair.

Top notch 2 star motel for CHEAP! I have zero complaints. Just really amazed at what I got for the price. Service was great. Location was great. Maybe a little on the noisy side but no worse than anywhere else, including Wyndham resorts.

Awesome staff! Very friendly. Typical motel set up. But VERY clean and fresh. No complaints. Would stay here again.

It was fine. I have to say I didn’t even have any expectation by this price. Honestly to me this is just a place for sleep. Just close your eyes, imagine you are in a luxury resort and everything is gonna be alright.

Nice modestly price motel. Clean rooms, helpful staff. Old but clean. Close to downtown shops and restaurants. Bathroom updated but shower head is too low.

This is a great place for the price. The room is clean and neat. And bed is comfortable. This is located at a convenient location — the center of the historic downtown of Corvallis. Everything is located in walking distance including markets, restaurants, the Art Center, Willamette river, and Oregon State University. If I have to stay in Corvallis again, definitely I will stay here again.

For a place to stay near the university and all around you cannot do better than the University Inn. The cleaning staff keep everything spotless. A lot of renovations done to the rooms and outside including new guardrails. Customer service oriented staff make the stay even more enjoyable. Comfortable beds and great showers.

Wasn't bad for the price we have paid. Good Korean toiletries though.

We checked in late so we ended up with an upgrade to a king studio room. We didn't really make use of the kitchenettes with full size fridge and stove but it felt fancy anyhow. It's a great choice if you're looking for a clean, simple place to stay in Corvallis.

Architecture was incredible, decoration was a critique on post modern industrialism and the redundancies of consumerism. The sofa was a wonderful piece combining comfort and fashion with the risque use of white stains near one end. After a solid night's rest on this masterpiece I was nothing short of awestruck by my complete rejuvenation from this gift of a couch. Never before have I seen a designer bold enough nor creative enough to pull off the double entrance closet, this closet broke that unfortunate spell. Much like the children of Narnia, I was spellbound when upon entering the mysterious space I realized that the short corridor led to yet another entrance to which I quite readily popped from. The kitchen was well stocked with a retro fridge and stove of a beautiful turquoise hue, and although the cupboards were bare, I felt as though I was right back in mom's kitchen. The wood paneling around the room was reminescent of an old Victorian manor, and the green carpets complimented the aesthetic wonderfully. The exposed brick wall really brought the room together, and I believe must have played some important role in keeping the bed bugs away as there was not a single one found in our room! I'd have to rate this hotel a perfect 5/7 on the mötler scale, would definitely visit again!

Not a bad place for the price. Convenient to stay within the heart of downtown.

Decent old motel. Not many electrical outlets, but everything worked. Friendly check-in/out and good value.

Super value and old-school charm. This was a great surprise with real whitewashed brick walls to keep out unwanted sounds and real solid tile bathroom that reminds you of how pride of lasting construction used to be the fad.

Everyone at University Inn was absolutely amazing! We stayed on two different occasions and very impressed both times. Clean & comfortable everything you need without unnecessary fluff. Excellent price for a great value & they price match all the online prices when you call direct. They went above & beyond to accommodate our special requests. We stayed during a major surgery for my dog at OSU and couldn't have asked for a nicer staff & outstanding management. The store in front is well appointed & great customer service definate bonus & excellent compliment to our stay. Special thanks to Brett, Greg & Penelope! My buddy really liked the nice areas to go for walks, is healing well, and is cancer free! We've stayed at several name brand hotels, myself & my large dog but have never felt so welcomed.

Fast late checkin. Very quiet downtown area. Room very clean and comfortable. Heat kicked on right away, room was comfy all night. Huge bed. Mattress squeaked but slept like a baby. Sheet quality excellent. Bathroom small but large sink area. Lots of channels on TV. Parking tight but right next to gas station and restaurant. I would recommend.

The room cost 78 dollars with fees, the shower handle didn't work properly and I could only extremes of hot and cold. When I told the front desk they seemed busy and disinterested. Also the trash bin should be moved it is right next to the rooms and the truck was extremely loud in the morning.

2 star hotel, but 3 to 4 star experience. The rooms were very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. If you get the room with the kitchenette remember to bring everything you need: utensils, pots and pans, dish soap, etc. I think the fridge was from the'50's, but it did the job.

Warning. What started as amazing quickly turned into a NIGHTMARE! As I previously reviewed, I thought I had found the hidden gem of Corvallis. I was sorely mistaken. After a very pleasant 2-day stay with four of my basketball players, we checked out, and headed off to our next destination. A few hours later I received a call that we had been charged for an “undeclared pet” in our room. This was a huge surprise to me, because I don't own a pet and I certainly did not bring any pets on this trip from Medford. They told me I had a black dog in the room, and they charged me for it. Over the next 20 min, I explained many times that 1) I do not own a dog. 2) I did not bring any pets with me on our trip. 3) No pets entered the room at any time! The interesting thing here is that no matter what I told Andrew and Annie, they insisted that I was just trying to get out of paying the fee. Annie told me things such as, “You are just mad because you got caught! ” and “What, did a magical dog fairy come and sprinkle dog hair on your bed? ” Wow, just wow. I’ve traveled quite a bit, and I’ve never had a hotel treat me like. Ever! Hotels are in the hospitality business, trying to win business with top customer service. But these two employees called me a liar several times. “You are lying to get out of paying the fee. ” I told them I wanted to find out what happened because there wasn’t a dog in the room, and we had to figure out why they thought this.

Pleasantly surprised, although it is a older establishment the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. It looked like it had been remodeled. If you are looking for a no frills place to sleep. This is a good value.

Was staying there and working near bye. Gave all 5 of us great deals for the first week then doubled the rent the next week, saying they made a mistake. They are very nasty mot nice at all. There were people kicking on doors all night. It is not worth price.

Great price for nice rooms. Very clean and comfortable with good location in relation to OSU campus and downtown Corvallis.

Kinda of run down. But very convenient. Walk to campus. The beds are very stiff and nothing is updated, but it was only $100 per night.

Bring your own towels. Charged an extra fee for "stained" towel — sorry, but I know the condition of the towels when we left. Seeing this in another review made sense. Bring your own, leave theirs alone if you don't want an extra charge tacked onto the bill a couple hours after you've left. Shady.

It was quite nice. A bit dated, but clean and affordable. Location is great.

My husband and son were there to visit OSU for the start program. After a long day at the school they arrived at the Inn, only to be turned away. There was a miscommunication about the deposit. Instead of working with them, they had to leave and go to another hotel. This was very poor business.

良い点 : Hotel staffs were kind and helped us so much. Maids were friendly and they adjusted their service according to our requests and daily schedules. 悪い点 : It was okay for us but someone could feel a parking lot being small. ロケーション : Safeway placed just one block. OSU campus was walk distance. We also could walk to nearby river-side park with shower. Our kids enjoyed the park. We are family with small kids and spend a couple of weeks in this hotel while we are searching a house for renting. This hotel totally helped our stay. Thanks.

My double queen Room was good and was CLEAN! another person who stayed here said their room was decent but was also clean. The walls are more cement than they are wood which means very few outlets. No outlets by the bed in my room. Mini fridge and microwave were clean and worked great. Great AC unit. And HD 40' TV. Beds were comfortable. Soldin 4 stars.

The room had stained/dirty towels; its proximity to a neighboring facilities garbage and recycling site made for an alarming 6 AM uninvited wake up call, not to mention the atrocious smell that constantly permeated through the poorly sealed door and windows. The cherry on top of this sordid experience was that their advertised Wi-Fi was out for a vast majority of our stay; the Wi-Fi was one of the main reasons we needed a place for the evening.

We needed a place to stay in Corvallis while visiting friends and the University Inn fit the bill perfectly. First off, it was very clean, which is my number one requirement for hotel rooms. Other reviews state that the hotel seems outdated, which I can understand to a degree, but only from its outside appearance. In the room we had: — a TV (which, who really needs a TV? You're travelling, go outside) — AC unit (we did not use it, however, so I cannot comment on it's efficiency) — microwave — an actual mini-fridge! (not the hotel kind, the dorm room kind, which was incredibly handy for storing our leftovers) — full shower/bath — closet, bed (comfy! ) and even a recliner chair if you prefer sitting to sleeping. — Free Wi-Fi. Seriously! — the ice machine was busted, so there was only ice from the office, but I can't dock a star for this because I never need ice — especially when there's a full on miniature fridge. No, it's not a fancy 5 star so none of the furniture was designer and the room wasn't gigantic, but everything worked well, was very comfrotable and was super clean. Furthermore, the location turned out to be perfect, as it was a short walk to everywhere we ended up going in Corvallis while visited. Lastly, the price is mind-blowingly good for what you get. I ended up paying $60ish for the room and after taxes it just topped $70 for a night. I truly wish this kind of small business hotel existed in the other cities we visit.

Look soso outside but inside the room is quite nice. Also not too expensive. Safeway is just one block away, so it is very to fins something to eat.

Picked this place because it was in our budget and all the reviews said it was clean. The staff has been very nice and helpful. The rooms are very dated, but extremely clean and kept up. The bathroom is tight, but no smaller than some others I have paid a lot more for in the past. My bed is hard but my daughter's bed is soft and comfy. We may be switching tonight. There are several neat little shops and restaurants just a block or two away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed in a single King bed room. Just me. Nice room for the price. Surprised to find a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Wish there were more wall outlets. Breakfast at Tommy's (conveniently located a few steps away) was yummy and filling! Service was friendly and prompt. Found an extra blanket in the bottom drawer under the tv. (Just in case you need it… there it is! ) If it's just me, I will stay there again.

Great place to stay for a couple of nights! I visited Corvallis for a couple of nights to for more permanent housing arrangements and stayed here between house viewings. Simple and efficient, the rooms are clean and bright, the cable was a little pixelated at times, but not too bad. Coffee maker, small fridge, and a hair dryer in the bathroom were all provided. The complimentary toiletries were eco-friendly! I know people say you get what you pay for, but this place was the exception: low rates for an excellent experience! Will definitely stay here again and would even recommend it to my family.

They have tried to update, i'll give that. But they put us in a room that did not have a finctioning toilet! We had to fill the tank manually with water using the ice bucket. They offered to move us to a different room, but we were already settled in with snacks in the mini-fridge and wine poured. It might not have been so bad, except it was 8pm, we'd been on the road for 8 hours and they weren't sure if the other room had occupants!?. What? The bed was soft. The furniture is as old as sin. There was some compressor outside our window that went off at random times, I thought it was someone taking a shower, but at 2am and multiple occurences I soon realized my night was going to be very long. To add injury to insult, they wouldn't even take a penny off the bill The other reviews must have been written by management or their friends because sane people do not want to stay here. No toilet and full price? Turn around, drive by, avoid.

Great staff, extremely clean, plenty of amenities, excellent location, reasonably priced, strong Wi-Fi. It's everything a motel should be.

I would not stay in this place again if my life depended on it… they will try to charge u if u use a cc 3 hours after u leave… worst place ever.

This hotel is in an area that is a haven for thieves. I had someone step into my room and grab an I phone and a pair of sunglasses during a recent stay in 06/2015. There are many indigent people hanging out in the parking lot and alley adjoining the hotel. There is no security system or cameras and the owners do nothing to discourage the people from hanging out in the parking lot and around the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel if you can avoid it. The savings to stay here may not be worth the risk of losing your valuables.

The place is very old, dated and all furniture is worn and looks dirty. Some units have pernament residents and boarded windows. I question the previous reviews and after staying there wonder if they were submitted by an "insider". I will not stay at the Towne House again. Two star rating.

Judging by looks we never would have stayed here but tried it anyway because of the good online reviews. We're glad we did as we now have a new favorite place to stay on our annual trips to visit friends in town. The bed was firm, the bathroom recently remodeled and very clean. As it is a downtown location close to emergency services you better make sure you brought those ear plugs! We'll be back.
