I did not stay but came to visit my brother as he & his wife stayed here. The suite was astonishingly large, decorated handsomely yet the oversized furniture made it seem cozy. The grounds were stunning, begging for photo ops everywhere… which we shamelessly did! The hosts were so very kind to allow my brother to invite me as his guest for the amazing breakfast of gruyere scones, roasted pineapple with zabaglione, apple sausage & wedges of gouda drizzled with a balsamic glaze. I will come back myself, as a staycation spot!

The innkeeper was most attentive to every detail to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Felt very safe and socially distant — there was only one other set of guests. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Country Willows Inn on several locations. This particular trip was during the Alameda fires and unable to leave the Ashland area. If I was going to be “stuck” somewhere, this was THE place to be. Kara and Dan are such wonderful hosts and staff very accommodating. Staying at this location and being pampered by caring innkeepers certainly took the edge off a stressful situation.
If you’ve never stayed here, I highly recommend staying, without reservation. The grounds are well maintained and rooms tastefully appointed and spotless. Attention to detail; bubble bath provided for the claw foot tub, chilled juice glasses! Did I mention breakfast? Second to none!
Kara and Dan make innkeeping seem more of a vocation than a business. They love what they do… and it shows.

Country Willow was such a lovely place to celebrate our anniversary. The grounds are beautiful and our room was very clean and beautifully furnished. We stayed in the Hayloft Suite and couldn’t be more happy. It had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and you had a great view of the property from the loft. The first day there we enjoyed swimming in the heated pool and relaxing on the pool deck surrounded by the beautiful landscaping. After dinner we enjoyed a little dessert on our patio. It was so relaxing. We had an early departure this morning so that we could go on the jet boats in Grants Pass. Kara packed us a delicious breakfast to go. We really appreciated them going out of their way to ensure we were fed even though it was before their normal breakfast time. We look forward to going back again sometime!

Beautiful place with many personalized and thoughtful touches. From the gourmet breakfasts to the astounding flora and fauna (including resident deer population reliably showing up morning and evening) you cannot find a more amazing place than this for your Ashland stay!

The grounds are beautiful! The entire house is nicely decorated and relaxing. The owner/inn keeper, Kara, was warm and an enjoyable conversationalist. The breakfasts are spectacular! Chef Daniel Trevallee prepares delightful meals. There must be quite a bit of preparation involved, since the meals are extensive. I was impressed with his creative and artfully displayed meals — plus they’re delicious! The gardens are well manicured and cuttings are incorporated in some of the breakfasts.
We didn’t have time this stay to go hiking on the trails. Nor did we use the large heated pool. These too, will be used on our next visit.

Kara greeted us at the door upon arrival and gave us a lovely tour of the property. The grounds are so special. Deer roam the flower fields and trail, ducks enjoy a swim in the pond, the view from our balcony of the willow tree and hills in the distance was majestic and breakfast was delectable! Our room was charming and very comfortable. Simple needs were addressed that you may not think about right away. Whenever I needed a tissue I would turn around and I would find a Kleenex box, a wash cloth in the bathroom has a sweet note attached that says “Wash Me” and there were tiny china figurines to hold my jewelry! Next time we will enjoy the pool. Perfect few days to recharge. We will most definitely return. I was in the hospitality biz for twenty years and give this inn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Bravo!

If there were more than 5 out of 5 stars, and thumbs up this wonderful B&B would get them all, a MUST stay if you are even close to the area!

This was my first visit to Country Willows Inn and I loved it. Very comfortable room, gorgeous grounds & pool, and delicious breakfasts. We really enjoyed having the hiking trails right out our door. Gracious hospitality.

I love Country Willows. We visit the Oregon Shakespeare Festival at least once a year, and always stay at Country Willows – though Country Willows is a destination in and of itself. The rooms are gorgeous, the breakfasts are fabulous, the grounds are lovely, the innkeepers and staff are friendly, professional and fun. A word about attention to detail: I opted for their wonderful steel-cut oatmeal instead of the day’s scheduled main dish a few times during our nine-day stay in August. Each time, it was served with nuts and dried fruit on the side, different combinations each day. I’m not sure if they change the oatmeal offerings every day, or if they kept track of what they had served me the previous time. I’m sure there are countless ways they pamper us that we fail to notice, too. I miss Country Willows as soon as we drive away. Yes, we have reservations for next year. I’m posting a picture of the view from one of my favorite early-morning coffee spots, by the pond, looking at the barn. The perfect way to start a day.

I cannot explain in words how this Inns beauty, peace, ambiance and food completed our trip to Oregon. My husband and I do not normally stay at bed and breakfasts, but we cannot be more greatful we decided to stay at Country Willows Inn. Kara was an absolute delight and was incredibly hospitable. The grounds were perfectly maintained, the room was so cozy, the pool was heated just right and the food was out of this world. We will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you Dan and Kara!

Last minute getaway without kids! We had an incredibly relaxing first stay and plan to return in the near future. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and delicious food.

We have been to The Country Willows B&B five times now, and each visit exceeds our expectations. The staff are all friendly and talented, the house is beautiful, the grounds and landscaping are gorgeous and the food… exceptional! I cannot say enough good about Country Willows!

I stumbled upon this gem a couple of months ago, looking for a quiet place to rest and rejuvenate and WOW! — — I am now ruined for all other places! The only flaw with Country Willows is that one cannot live there year-round. It felt like home — but a better home than I have ever known! It was spotless but comfortable, fancy but homey, special yet familiar at the same time. The breakfast was truly amazing and the owners so thoughtful. There were small conveniences that truly made me feel welcome. They just thought of everything here!

Fantastic stay. Great attention to detail. It was horribly smoky due to local forest fires which really put a damper on our stay. The Willow Room was too warm for my husband’s liking, but the host was quick to bring us two fans which made our stay pleasant. The bed firmness was not perfect but tolerable. Breakfast and service was a 5! I enjoyed the pool after check out because there is a full bathroom with a shower on the main floor where I could shower after my swim. Beautiful grounds. Host generously gave us a discount when we booked the same week. I also appreciated being able to book for one night only. Access to Izze sparking juice and flourless (but tasty! ) peanut butter cookies was a highlight.

I echo the many positive reviews. I stayed for three nights while doing the comprehensive Shakespeare experience (which was awesome). I sat in just about every room, porch, pool area they have, in between classes and plays. The breakfasts were amazing and they were kind enough to rush my meals so I could get to class on time. A little touch of port or a cookie hit the spot on occasion. The owners are lovely and I would definitely stay again if I head west again (I live in DC)

I highly recommend staying at the Country Willows Inn. While it is less than three miles from downtown Ashland, it has the peaceful feel of a personal retreat. The grounds and main house have multiple small seating areas that just beckon one to come and relax — sip a drink on the upstairs porch, or lounge under the gorgeous lacy willow tree. With all that being said, the most exceptional part of the Inn may just be the owners and their wonderful staff. They have taken thoughtfulness to an art form: from the fresh baked cookies and drinks in the house's common room, the sunscreen and plush towels for those who want to dip into the pool, the cheerful flexibility to a slightly earlier than planned arrival (and the storage of a kayak), to a gourmet breakfast in the beautifully appointed dining area. Whew! Who thinks of freezing the breakfast juice glasses so the first sip will be a frosty burst of sweetness? Or of offering complimentary wine and appetizers and live music on a warm summer night? Kara and Dan do, and in so doing they have made Inn keeping seem more like a vocation than a business. If you have the opportunity to stay with them to visit Ashland, take it!

Lovely setting and gardens, clean, quiet. Close to some good trails for easy hiking. Stayed twice and will return. Don't miss the breakfast… which is included and special.

A true Shangri-la! Highly recommend to anyone who wants beauty and peace and wonderful breakfasts!

We stayed in the Cedar room and loved it, first for its beautiful view of the mountains, and then for its comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The inn itself is a rambling place, with multiple places to sit and relax, outside and in. There were porches and decks; rooms—living room, sitting room, den/fireplace room; and outdoor spaces—poolside, pond-side, under the willow tree. There were fields of wildflowers and walking trails. If you needed a nibble, there were cookies, nuts, jelly beans, Hershey’s kisses, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. And the food? The breakfasts were creative and plentiful. It’s simply a place where the innkeepers have tried to think of guests’ comfort, down to the small details. We will certainly be back.

This is the best B&B we have ever seen. We have been staying at Country Willows several times a year for over 25 years and it is better than ever. Owners Dan and Kara are charming and helpful — as is the innkeeper, Daniel. The breakfast in the new breakfast room with panoramic views of the valley is always superb and we can think of no more relaxing place to stay for a night or several nights while in Ashland.

This was our second stay and was a major challenge for the hosts, Kara & Dan.
Shortly after we checked, a water pipe broke shutting off all water to the property.
However the incident was handled in amazing fashion.
* we quickly got a call from Kara letting us know about the problem
* we were offered the option of staying at another location arranged by the hosts or staying on with a credit for the inconvenience
* we opted to stay… so Dan brought by big buckets of water so that the toilets could be flushed… more than once
* he also brought a large container of drinking water as well as sanitary hand wipes
* at breakfast you couldn't even tell that there had been a problem
* they also found a hotel close by where we could get a shower if we wanted one
All in all, an amazing response to a difficult situation.

This was one of the best places I've ever stayed. The staff, food, pool, and our suite were all amazing. Can't imagine staying any place else!
