Great location. Pet friendly rooms. Beach access right across the street. Room service was fast. Front counter staff were friendly. Our room was clean and a great size with a beautiful view of the beach. Housekeeping was wonderful and friendly. Pool is closed for renovations so we will have to come back when it’s open. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Good spacious rooms. Covid kept us from experiencing the restaurant this time. Jacuzzi and pool are available for reservations (45 min) per room/group, that's really nice.
Beach is at the end of the driveway so really close. Beach is clean, easy access.
We have a dog, and they are extremely pet friendly. Recommend this for a fun stay.

My husband and I got married here on 10.10.2020. Agate beach is one of our favorite places ever. Such a beautiful hotel to stay at, I'm grateful to say I got married here! Maggie was the absolute best to work with, super responsive and was alot of help making the big day go as smoothly as possible. We couldnt have asked for a better day.

Staff was rude and no courtesy to patrons. Also looked and yelled at bay bar keep as we went for food and beer after we arived. Construction started early so no sleeping in. Start of vacation was not good. Thanks and was over chared for all the crappy service.

Great hotel it’s very chic design and comfortable. High quality furniture and such. Beds are a little firm for my liking but still quite nice. Only downside is the restaurant downstairs is FAR too expensive! A burger is like $23! Even with the 15% coupon it would be too much still. But overall very very nice hotel. Wish there was a continental breakfast or cheaper food options in the restaurant.

What an amazing stay! We actually extended for another day because we love it here. The restaurant, bar, espresso bar, wine social and ALL of the staff are great!

What a beach! What a view! Never seen anything like it. Hotel staff is Aces and accommodated me with some requests I had. Coffee was great in lobby! Restaurant was on the pricey side but at least it was fantastic and easy to get to! The Italian server at the restaurant was highly entertaining to say the least!

Five Star Hotel with beach access. Friendly staff, clean large rooms, and very modern. The food at the restaurant was very delicious and the atmosphere and staff were amazing. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner overlooking the sea. When we arrived the hotel held happy hour in the lounge with complimentary wine. Since we had been driving all day we appreciated the time to unwind and relax and meet other guests especially the manager Judy. Our only regret is that we didn't take the opportunity to swim in the salt water pool. If we are ever back this way this will be our number one hotel on our trip and we will highly recommend this hotel to others traveling this way!

Great place to stay in Newport Oregon, having stayed there in the past expected the same perfect place. A remodeling this past winter was so well done. Their front desk staff is magical and well trained. This is a great place to stay. The CLEANING STAFF needs more training, and tissue in the corner of the room when we arrived, was still there 2 days later when we left. Pretty sad when it's white tissue on a brown carpet. Restaurant is very good too.

Staff were nice. We changed rooms the second day and they told us to leave luggage in our old room and they’d transfer it. Got there and our luggage was still mia. Long to get help was a mile long and check in times were getting pushed back. Wasn’t very organized and rooms were cleanish.
All in all wasn’t horrid but wasn’t great.

Had an incredibly enjoyable experience while on ours girls trip. The remodel of their facility is updated to a light version of the current design fads; pleasing to the eye, but more importantly, functional. The staff enjoyed their positions there. We had an amazing waiter that went above and beyond, sharing his experience from his home country and truly solidifying the wine choice we made to pair with our dinners. The pool stays open later, without children, which makes it relaxing and fun for adults. They make it very easy to enjoy your stay.

Door We rented surf gear/ boards and had amazing time. Beach fires and walking for miles One of our beds was little broken down but I did alert staff. Kid friendly — pet friendly. Great stay. Housekeeping works really hard, don’t forget to leave appropriate tip.

I loved the rooms nicely updated and very clean. The swimming pool and workout area was very nice also. The only reason for 4 stars out of 5 is the restaurant. The food was horrible and extremely expensive even for a hotel restaurant. The pancakes were so horrible we couldn't eat them. For $8 you got 3 pancakes. We ordered a ham steak again $8 very small portion. So next time we will eat elsewhere. Everyone was very kind overall a good experience.

Beautiful facility with views to the ocean. Loved being able to lie in bed and listen to the waves crash in on the beach. Clean, comfortable hotel with great staff. With a continental breakfast included in the price it would have been a 5 star stay.

Great rooms, excellent view, friendly and accommodating staff. Their dog friendliness was important to us. They allow pets in certain rooms, but the rooms are clean and well maintained, and no different than the other rooms. They provided a special sheet to protect the bedding and still let your dog feel at home, and there was a dog biscuit and a note in the room to welcome our pet. We had a great experience.

Wow! Amazing experience! This was my husband and I’s first time in Newport and we literally booked the night before. We did a lot of price comparison and chose Best Western Plus, not really having any expectation of what Plus was. We did book and ocean front room and was not disappointed at all! First we got to the area at 10am, was not expecting to be able to check in, but the front desk person was so kind and welcomed us with a big smile. Explained about the app and all the services we could request. Gave us some ideas for around town and sent us on our way. The entire place has been redone with great style and warmth. Our room far exceeded our expectations, the view was amazing, opened the sliding glass door and listened to the ocean all night. The bed was a nice comfort and linens were soft. We enjoyed the lounge after we came back for the day and the staff, selection, and quality were fantastic! We ordered room service for breakfast… yes they have room service and the service was great but the food could use some work. Overall we were thrilled with our find, the value, and and Experience! We will definitely be back!

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed at. The rooms are magnificent. It's located next to ocean so it has a great view. You can walk to the beach easily. You can listen to the ocean as you watch the sunset from your room. The sky walk is great and the elevators are very nice. Over all the hotel is amazing.

First time I have stayed at this hotel, and I have to say that the staff is amazing and very friendly! The lobby is gorgeous, and the many spots and giant windows let you view the ocean in a great comfortable way. I am very pleased and will definitely go back to stay again. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel several years ago and swore we'd never go back (had to listen to a woman in the room next door crying all night through the thin walls. ) However, the hotel has undergone major renovations and it's now a true Best Western PLUS with rooms virtually soundproof, superb bedding (5 pillows! ) superior quality toiletries and beautiful decor throughout. Also, very important to us: this hotel honored the Military Discount during Memorial Day Weekend. Five stars for that alone!

We have enjoyed going to Mother’s Day and Easter brunches here for four years, and to say this Mother’s Day brunch was terrible would be an understatement. This years brunch crew seemed severely under staffed, we showed up to our reservation today to find out our tables were not set or arranged. When we were finally seated we were seated at two different tables for our party of 13, nothing worse than splitting the family up for a nice family meal. After 15-20 minutes we finally got our drinks. The food was barely warm and the salad was severely wilted. People were constantly waiting for staff to bring out more food as stations were always empty. During the course of our meal there was always one or two stations with no food. As soon as we sat down with our food the waitress thought that would be a good time to figure out how the checks were getting split up, I understand needing to know but there is a more appropriate time for that. Past years they have offered a waffle station, eggs Benedict, Prime rib and a few other options on food. This year they cut the prime rib for a cheap roast and and they got rid of the other items I listed. After all of that we were charged $39.00 a person plus Drinks! In the years past I haven’t batted an eye at the price because the food and service was excellent. I could go on and on about our family’s experience but I don’t want to type out a novel.

Under construction but still very nice. A very nice walk down to the beach. They are pet friendly. Ocean view in room. They only need some grass to walk the dog.

Friendly staff, nice rooms. Under construction while we stayed, but pretty good. Biggest downfall is that the new bathroom doors don't lock, they are a barn door style sliding door, and don't work well for little kids.

This is a nice hotel. We had a nice room, terrific view of the ocean and lighthouse. Super… super friendly staff. ~ There were issues, but that was with the construction company doing their remodeling. Sorry for Best Western on these issues. Just disappointed that there is no free breakfast or even a continental breakfast as most Best Westerns have.

We stayed here in March. I was told there was construction. Fine. Our room, the water was shut off and it was not supposed to be. That room had a lot to be desired. They hoped we would return. I was told the remodeling would be done in March. Nope. But, booked our room for April.
The coffee pack had not been cleaned out by housekeeping. Construction… they better really check their work… or lack of. Our door, from the room to the hall was installed inappropriately. You can stick a pen in the door/molding. Horribly done. Fire hazard for sure. Housekeeping… they need to step it up. Clean the bathroom sink and counter. Great view of the ocean, sitting in our room with the sliding door open. Deck big enough to stand on. The staff was amazing. Front counter very polite. Restaurant staff pleasant too. My husband disappointed as they don't have the normal free breakfast he's used to from other Best Westerns. March, they had a $5.00 special or a regular breakfast. Not the case this time. He didn't care for the food and especially for what he paid. So, as far as the hotel, it's okay. That's all I'll give them. It's okay.

Super nice hotel! Making some amazing updates and we love the location! The beach was perfect! They also accommodated us having to leave a night early because our kiddo was sick! We will be staying here again!

A nice hotel currently being updated with stylish decor. The King room was spacious and clean. Get a room on the ocean side, otherwise you’re looking at a brushy bank or parking lot. There’s a restaurant and lounge, but breakfast is not included with your stay. Our group of 12 ate dinner in the restaurant one night and they were very accommodating of our group with 7 young children. The balconies are so small you can only stand on them… chairs will not fit. The indoor swimming pool was nice and warm so even I got in to play with my grandchildren. The hotel itself sits above the beach and does have direct access, but it would be difficult for anyone who has trouble walking or if you want to carry chairs, beach toys, a cooler, etc. As it has a bit of a steep incline. There is a small parking lot below the hill next to the beach access, but it was full whenever I went by. I liked this hotel a lot and would stay here again except during the warmer months. My husband and I really enjoy sitting on a balcony and watching the waves and beach goers, especially the older we get. We are in our 60’s and 70’s.

Loved staying there. The room was newly remodeled so it was super nice. The pool was awesome. Rooms were pretty clean. Easy beach access. Staff was nice! Definitely will stay there again.

Love this hotel. Faces the beach and you can walk down from the restaurant. There are usually good specials online. They're remodeling right now and the remodeled rooms are beautiful. The bar is closed for remodeling and the restaurant is not open late.

When I booked the room I booked an ocean view room, and I did not get that… I had a room the face to parking lot I had found out there was quite a few other people that supposedly booked an ocean view room and got different rooms. also the front desk told us it was based on a first-come first-serve basis which I found out not to be true. Positive notes the renovations on the hotel are looking beautiful the staff was very helpful the rooms were very clean.

We have always enjoyed staying at this Best Western Agate Beach hotel near Newport, Oregon. Friendly staff, lots of amenities, and the ocean right across the street. But now that they are remodeling everything top to bottom, it’s even better! Highly recommend this location if you plan to stay at the Central Oregon coast!

I understand the hotel is undergoing renovations but how about mentioning that the rooms will be without water during my stay. I had to leave the hotel to use a restroom or get something to drink. The staff called me before my check-in to confirm I needed a pet-friendly room but didn’t mention that the rooms would be without water. Had they mentioned that I would have found a different place to stay or even postpone the trip. A few hours later (after a long drive) at check-in did they mention the lack of water.

I was very disappointed in my stay. There was no warning that the hotel was under construction. It was loud enough to shake the headboard of the bed first thing in the morning. Not a nice way to wake up. Hammering and power tools directly overhead. I was also directed to an already occupied room on check in. The woman already staying there was not thrilled by my interruption. The next room I entered had an open sliding glass door to the balcony that runs the full length of the building. After closing and locking it I left to get food. When I came back it was unlocked again. I would not choose to stay here again until construction is done and locks are improved. Then maybe.

Amazing salt water pool and jacuzzi for the family. Wonderful staff and surprisingly good food and drink. The rates are as reasonable as you can get these days. Hotel is getting renovations right now which I hope improves the quality of the bathrooms in the room. Overall, a fantastic destination for local Oregonians who need a quick get away.

Very clean. Loved the location, almost hidden & perfect walking distance to beach. Restaurant in hotel was amazing! Pool & hot tub are open later than most hotels which made our stay more enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel. Super staff. They were under construction, but I was told this is advance. It was loud, but, I was warned. This hotel seemed to be ready right now, our room was great and I thought it had been remodeled. Nope. The sliding glass door was great, but I guess will be a new one in the future. Happy to have tried to hotel. Can't wait to stay there, after the renovation.

Great location and view. Close and fairly accessible beach access. Room was quite acceptable, comfortable bed and lots of shower pressure. Pool and hot tub were nice. Most of hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. This would be a 4 star rating if not for our bad experience at the hotel bar. We said our salads tasted like they had gone bad and our response from the staff was that, "the chef said they were fine. " This was very upsetting but front desk staff helped as much as they could at checkout by taking our concerns very seriously and encouraging us to write a review.

Best Western Agate Beach in Newport, OR was a good place to stay if you got a discounted price. We had a King room facing the ocean. The view was spectacular; it was wonderful to hear the surf! We took a walk on the beach; it was a lot of soft sand, so it was a little hard to make progress, but when we got to the more compact wetter sand, it was wonderful to walk on the beach. We used the pool and hot tub; the first night there were only a couple of people who also used the pool and hot tub and the hot tub was nice and hot. The second day, the hot tub was packed so we went swimming in the pool. The pool was not as warm this day as it had been the day before, so we decided we wanted to try the hot tub. Not a good idea! Apparently, when many people are using the hot tub, water is displaced and when it is recirculated it has to make a round trip to the water heater and back which takes at least 20 minutes! We were thoroughly bummed! The hotel is planning a huge remodel, so maybe they will replace the hot tub water heater with something that is more efficient.

We went for the view/price formula here on our anniversary this weekend. It's really nice to have an affordable resort style hotel at this price. However, the price does show itself sometimes in the age, maintenance, and decor of the building. I otherwise found the cleanliness of the grounds and service of the staff to be fair and excellent, respectively. The view from our room on the fourth floor was phenomenal. We sat in the double chairs and watched the ocean like it was a TV.

Good location with large pool and Hot Tub area with Shower, bathroom, towels and lots of windows and seating/lounging. Rooms are large and this hotel is clean and well maintained. We have stayed here several times over the years… very convenient location in Newport area. Beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean! Nice amenities, too. Nice lounge with a Happy Hour and outside patio protected from wind In Oct. 2017 through March 2017, there will be a complete renovation of the property. I can't wait to see the renovation!

I can't even begin to explain how great this place is! We planned our wedding reception here. We needed to book rooms for all our guests for 4 nights with our reception on the last night. Everything went absolutely perfect! From the planning to the actual day we couldn't have asked for more. Tami went above and beyond to help us plan our special day. On the day of, all the staff was so kind and helpful. The food was spectacular and the event went absolutely perfect. The rooms are very clean. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place for our wedding thanks to all of them! We will be again and again!

Well furnished, clean rooms. I stayed in a pet friendly room and it was just as nice as the non pet rooms. Service is excellent and the staff is very nice. I only gave 4 stars because it was quite spendy for only 2 nights without an ocean view. Plenty of parking. Nice indoor pool open till 10pm for all ages and midnight for adults. Beach access is excellent, as it just behind the hotel. Outdoor eating with patio heaters and wind blockers allow people to enjoy a meal outside comfortably. I will return for sure.

We had a lovely visit at the Best Western on Agate Beach. The hotel is clean, has great amenities and the staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was pet friendly, though we did not bring a pet (only room left with an ocean view. ) They provide pet specific bedding and little dog treats in the room which is a really cute touch. The hotel offers a lovely indoor pool and spa with late hours for kiddos, which my daughter loved. Room service and an in hotel restaurant and bar, direct beach access and a fitness center. The beds were super comfortable and we loved waking up to the ocean breeze on our balcony every morning. The room offers a small fridge and microwave, which was super helpful for feeding kiddos breakfast and not having to go out every day. I will absolutely stay at the Best Western Agate Beach again. Totally worth it for the price and location. We had a lovely stay!

Great Hotel! It was so relaxing and peaceful, you are on the outside of Newport, so don't deal with the crowds and traffic but just a drive away if you want to go do stuff there. It was very clean, rooms were big and comfortable. The staff as well was extremely nice and pleasant to talk with. We had dinner at the restaurant there and the service was wonderful and food delicious! The whole experience was wonderful! Looking forward to going back again!

Great location. Friendly staff. Easy access to the beach. Decent price. I opted for the lesser expensive room without the view. I was still able to see a view of the beach and lighthouse from windows by the elevator. (Other people sat there to watch the sunset) Room was nice. The bedding was sufficient for a summer night. (Sheets, blanket, and a thin decorative bed cover in lieu of s comforter. And there were spare blankets in the closet. ) The bathroom was average size. Shower had good water pressure & plenty of hot water. Hotel soaps smelled nice. Room had coffee, fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board, & hair dryer. Pool was warm & clean and they provided beach balls for the kids to play (adults only after 11) Everything that we saw in the hotel was clean and well maintained but we did see signs that they are doing an update starting in November so presumably that will address the complaints in some of the other reviews.

We have been here for two nights, one more to go. We have a oceanview, dog friendly room on the 6th floor — perfect to view the sunset!
The restaurant and bar is wonderful, great food, good prices and friendly service. They even let our dog sit with us on the bars patio, nice that she didn't have to stay in the room alone.
Yes, the hotel is old, but the rooms are clean and have all of your basic necessities.
My only complaint is the bedding! No comforter, just a paper thin blanket between a sheet and a piece of fabric just like a thin polyester table cloth that scratches your skin and snags on your feet. I am so thankful that I brought blankets from home!
My family and I have had a great stay. I think $200 a night was a bit high, we have rented oceanfront condos right on the beach for less.
The location here in Newport is very convenient and the views can't be beat.

Great view from the ocean view rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, but not complimentary. Clean lobby. Wish there was not chocolate at the coffee table station. Grocery stores close by.

We showed up after 8pm in the pouring down rain. Check in was easy and the receptionist was pleasant. We had our small dog with us and our room was very close to parking and the designated pet area. They even provided biscuits and a "Pet Sheet" for our girl to use while in the room. It was obvious that there were other pets in the hotel from the friendly barks returned when our dog barked. The other pet parents were respectful and friendly when our dog was taken out to use the pet areas. It was so easy to enjoy our time in Newport because of how easy it was to settle in with our dog in our room. I recommend it!

Wonderful view of the ocean. Wish I could have stayed longer. Would like to have been able to adjust the thermostat a little lower. Even with balcony door open at night, it was a bit warm. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Best Western Agate Beach Inn is a wonderful property located across a roadway from the ocean. More importantly, we found the night receptionist Anna to be very welcoming and warm to the point we felt like relatives coming for a visit. The property also met all the other requirements: nice room, very clean, lots of warm water, and a good bed. What more your a person want.

I love this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds amazing and the view on the ocean side is beautiful. The staff here has always gone above and beyond. The rooms are becoming a little dated, but I understand that they are embarking on a major overhaul. Although they do not have the standard free (cheap) breakfast, the restaurant is excellent.

No air conditioning. Got that! NO AC. If you read no more of this review thats fine just remember NO AC! No other reviews mentions that, why? I don't get it. Its 2016! What hotel in america has NO AC? A heater but no cold air. Why I ask the desk: because we are by the ocean open the sliding glass door they say. That only works when its cool outside due to the humidity. Also only works when on the ocean side and able to get a breeze thru the room. Only works with sliding door and bedroom doors open and how secure is that. On the street side its noisy as heck with cars driving by in parking lot and on major road 500 feet away. Its hot in the hotel too, hallways and lobby. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. There is a reason they are affordable its because they are cheap. Remember. No ac.

Not good service and bad construction.

I work for Best Western doing maintenance and I would be fired if my pool and spa looked like this! You can't see your feet in the pool as the water is so murky. I got splashed and noticed that they use the ocean water for the pool and spa : (the water is salty with hints of chlorine, very weird. I asked the front desk clerk if they did In fact use ocean water and she said they did and it is less abrasive than chlorine. I don't think she knew what she was talking about. The hot tub was even worse, The tiles had not been scrubbed in a while making for a nasty yellow, brown build up on the spa walls. It was so built up that it began falling into the spa and floating around. Again I couldn't see my feet in the spa, now the water is only 3 feet deep at best and still I couldn't see my feet. The pool and spa at our two Best Westerns in Salem are crystal clear and we take great pride in keeping it that way. The breakfast is another story, it's hard to get over paying for the food here that we give to our guests as free. The owner needs to stop being so cheap and feed the guests, especially considering what the room costs. $240 for a room this small is mind blowing. The ocean view is decent. I stayed at the Lincoln City BW and it was half the price and twice hotel. I will definitely never return to this BW. Simply not worth the money. I would rather have drove home last night and saved that money.

The location was nice, but beach access was a pain. Room was great, although at first, our fridge was broken. Service was wonderful. Wish they had better Wi-Fi, but anything is better than nothing.

Room was clean and large. Pool area was nice and we appreciated the adults only time late in the evening. However, I was disappointed that breakfast was not free, despite the fact that most Best Westerns do provide free breakfast. Did not get a chance to check out the beach access.

Incompetent staff and management who do not know how to talk with their staff and ask if the rooms are ready. Don't expect early check in. We were given room keys to a room that were not ours. I honestly can say I am not surprised. Management should probably just retire and so should there hospitality, there is none here. Save a couple of bucks and stay at another hotel you'll be happier. BTW food here is so so so maybe it's edible so-maybe you ordered here and the food arrives In time. Parking is a pain and elevators slow you have to start at the 6 th floor. Near Walmart and work down to your room.

Awesome views on ocean side, very comfortable rooms. Wifi was good until the property got busy… but take a walk on the awesome beach and leave the Internet for another time. :-)

The rooms were clean and modern. While the hotel overlooks the beach, it's not directly on the beach. Easy 3 min walk to that beach. Comfortable beds with a lot of pillows. Only real complaint is that the entire town, including the on-site hotel restaurant closes at 9pm on a Fri/Sat. That's far too early when you're hungry and wanting room service. Would stay here again. I wish the rooms had bottle openers for the beers I bought at the local grocery store.

Could not get the doors opened everytime we went to our room. But they helped us right away every time. Good clean rooms.

Could've used an extra blanket, and the shower temperature was really finicky. Either too hot or too cold. But other than those two small factors, the stay was great. The room was clean, the view was beautiful, and there were tons of activities nearby and in town. We visited the lighthouse and hiked a bit around there. It was definitely worth a few hours of time. The onion rings and crispy chicken salad from the bar/restaurant (hey share a lot of the same menu) was delicious, and Sherry in Rookies was kind, helpful, and great at her job!

Fast internet, spacious and clean room, onsite restaurant was great.

Usually we have had a great time at this hotel. This time I had booked with Travelocity. From the time of booking our night there, we had rescued a 6 month old lab puppy. When I checked in, I told Brandon that we had a dog with us and he said no problem. When we checked out, we were charged $75 because we had a dog and it was not a dog room. I told her that we had told Brandon the day before and he should have told us then about it not being a dog room and of the charge. So we will not be returning to this hotel.

Don the house keep was super friendly and really professional! My daughter spilled some crackers and my wife asked for housekeeping to come and take care of the little spill of crumbs. Anyway … He and the other staff of helped make our stay pleasant Thanks again don… you saved me from the wrath of my wife!

Our room was nice, although we were located too close to the entrance which caused our dogs to stir whenever someone would enter the building. The bed was comfortable. It was nice having access to the beach from the hotel. We ate at the hotel restaurant. The food was over priced and the service just mediocre.

Pool is amazing. It nice to have a heated pool on a cold Oregon Coast day.

Really lovely building, nice rooms with good art. I love the way the place is decorated all throughout it. Excellent heated salt water pool, nice hot tub. The staff were all very friendly in the hotel and in the restaurant. And they had good chowder. I'd happily stay here again!

Good food. Good location. Great service. Affordable. I had my wedding reception at the Agate Beach Inn (Best Western) in the Jasper room after having my wedding on the Agate Beach. The reception was wonderfully affordable in comparison to other beach side hotel options (notably the Hallmark Inn Resort) and they went above and beyond providing a beautiful space with great service and wonderful food. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great views. Everyone I worked with to plan the reception was thoughtful and welcoming, and made planning my reception so much easier because of it. They truly made my wedding and reception as perfect as possible, I would recommend them for any family get together. They also offer a great discount for rooms for the wedding guests and party, making the trip that much more affordable for everyone, including family with pets.

Very nice room on the sixth floor. Dinner and breakfast good and not overpriced. This hotel is in a very pretty setting. Normal pillows would be greatly appreciated.

Worse place ever! You would think that since it is summer they would have the hot tub working! It is also the only motel that DOES NOT offer a continental breakfast and the $5 breakfast is misleading — it only applies to the 2-pieces of French toast and 2 pieces of bacon. The menu is good but pretty pricey. You do not get to pick your room so we were very disappointed to have a view of the parking lot. They do provide a cute "doggy" sheet and treat for your pet. This a good place for business but not for families or a girls weekend. The staff was bland and never asked us if we needed help in find activities or places of interest. We have stayed at other Best Westerns and have found them to be very nice — this is just not one of them. There are plenty of other motels in the area — I would check them out first.

Rooms were dated but clean! very friendly front desk lady! Loved the short walk to the beach front.

A three from me means "as expected". My family used it for a place to sleep on a road trip, not a destination resort. The kids an I had a nice time in the pool, the room was clean, and the beds are just fine.

Really nice room. Clean. Loved the view. The room was freezing cold however. The little space heater in the room was sized for a bathroom and totally inadequate for a hotel room. We froze. Shouldn't have to be uncomfortable in a room. Bring your parka if your staying in the winter time.

I was extremely disappointed that I booked a reservation at a hotel overlooking the ocean and got anything but that. My "great" view. The PARKING LOT! They need to make it more clear that not ALL of the rooms have a view of the ocean. The gal at the front desk told me you have to request that upon booking and pay more for the ocean view. (What?!? ) My only options included how many beds I needed and how many guests were staying. As if I wasn't frustrated enough, the room was so stuffy, I had to borrow a fan to get some circulation in the room. Really? Way to make sure your guests are comfortable! Maybe if I had an ocean view, I could have opened the window and got fresh air, instead exhaust fumes and noise from the cars in the parking lot. I think this is also the only hotel I have ever stayed at the didn't have a continental breakfast. Wow, not even a stale doughnut. Impressive. I highly doubt I will be back. In my future trips to the coast, I will call another hotel and be CERTAIN I get a nice view there.

For the price we paid, it was definitely worth it. The restaurant is a little run down but the food and the service make up for it. The view from the restaurant is perfect. The ocean looks great from the dining area, plus they have rabbits that live just outside of the restaurant. The walk down to the beach isn't too bad, there isn't much of a slope. The beach is a lot of fun to explore. Lots of agate! There is a Wal-Mart nearby (for those of you that like to shop there, I don't). There is also some smaller local stores and shops nearby but you aren't bothered by lots of traffic because the hotel is just outside of town. Close enough yet far enough away from the center of traffic. The only drawback was that the rooms looked a little run down. They should really remodel this place. We didn't mind though because everything else was great. Oh, we did have an infant with us and the window in our room on one of the upper floors had a window near the floor that did not have a screen and no gate to keep our kid from falling down. We told them and they moved us for free to another room.

The popcorn ceiling was coming off onto us as we slept. No where on the website does it explain to you that the parking lot is up on the sixth floor and getting your luggage to the room is annoying. A seriously long way away unless you are on the sixth floor. I accidentally left my daughters baby blanket on the bed. They gave me the run around for 4 days and still haven't found it or EVER tried to call me back to let me know they haven't found it. I give up. Will never stay here again.
