I was pleasantly surprised. Very, very nice room which included a refrigerator, microwave and a very comfortable chair w/footstool. This is also a dog friendly hotel. Great selection on their morning breakfast and a extremely friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Sharon C.

Selected this location on my recent trip west. This is a 'value' chain offering from the parent Choice Hotels group. This location / facility is very dated and in need of serious remodel. After viewing the room offered, conditions of the sheets and bedding (thin worn sheet direct on mattress with no mattress pad) we chose to surrender the room and booked a room in a nearby hotel for not too much more in cost.

Nice Quiet and reasonable motel near Hwy 84 in Baker City. Good Breakfast in the morning. Staff are friendly.

Room/bathroom were clean. King bed was comfortable. Shower had plenty of water pressure & hot water. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, but I'd suggest they add fruit. Staff was friendly, especially the morning desk clerk.

The room was fair. It was very cold, especially the floor and took forever to warm up. Had to put a phone book under one corner of the refrigerator to keep it level. It was clean enough. They offer smoking rooms and are pet friendly although we had to go quite a way to get to an area for pets to use. Across a huge icy parking lot and around the back side of the farthest building.

Not impressed. Old furniture and carpet. Room smelled musty. Breakfast was ok I guess. Is was a good price but will probably pay a little more and stay somewhere else next time.

Baker city hotels were booked. This gentleman had 1 room left, happened to be non pet (which I had) and he was so nice and accomodating. Even with the price being adjusted because of availability and pet it was still affordable, abd I loved the western feel. It was clean, laid back and close to, downtown baker city.

This hotel was such a disappointment. It was not clean, the microwave was broken and they could not replace it, the beds were very uncomfortable. We never got maid service for the three nights we were there. The staff working seemed very cordial, they tried to help with what they could. Our heater was not working properely and the gentleman did bring in a space heater to help.

Room was clean beds comfortable staff helpful good location breakfast excellent but small dining area staff members were smoking along walkways.

Stayed here for a night while on the road to Seattle. Convenient location and near the interstate. The room was clean and very comfortable for my night's stay. My only complaint could be that the TV wasn't setup for HD channels despite being a flat-screen. Breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. I love the charm the building has and would definitely stay here again.

Not impressed with my stay here. The ac only worked if I had it set to 50 degrees. The beds were not comfortable at all. The room looked like someone had torn the hardware off the walls and didn't repair the holes it left. Our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were playing hopscotch and jump rope until midnight and then again at 5 am… and when I complained to the don't desk nothing was done. The ONLY reason I am leaving a 2 star rating instead of a 1 is that breakfast was good and the location was convieient.

As an new employee I found that this place is better run with the new management they have going the rest of the staff are real nice. We do our best to keep our customers happy and satisfied with their stay. Overall we run a decent motel with wonderful inexpensive rates and served a excellent breakfast in the mornings. I recommend those looking for a place to stay to come on by the Rodeway and we will accompany you with an enjoyable stay.

The mattress was the most comfortable of any I experienced on our nineteen-day trip across the country and back! Their hot breakfast was outstanding. All for a very modest price. They also have a friendly staff.

Checked in late on our way home from a family vacation. Still had a few rooms available. Upon entering the room, noticed a strong odor of urine. This hotel allows pets so not sure if it was pet urine or what. There were spots all over the floor. There was a dirty towel on the back of the toilet in the restroom. Breakfast was not great. Biscuits were hard and dry. Only good thing was the bed was clean and location was good and easy to find.

Just a Rodeway, nothing fancy. Clean and nice. Manager, or owner? Got up at 230 am and fixed my reservation (ended up set for the wrong day and couldn't change it through the app) he was obviously woken up to help me… did it all with no problem, smiled and made conversation. Was very pleasant. Pretty sure he was the one who got up super early and made all the breakfast stuff which… is the continental breakfast benchmark that I compare motels from the north and south west to… it's thst good! No stress… easy to relax and sleep at… I tats a place we look forward to stopping at every time.

The room was pretty nice, nothing super fancy, but definitely a great place to spend the night. The Continental breakfast was great! Really good biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs and sausage! Super yummy!

3 weeks ago I reserved a room for 3 with 3 beds held with my credit card. We show up and there is a room available with 1 bed. Nothing else. Don't try to make reservations here, ever. It means nothing. We found great service at the 'Always welcome Inn'.

Clean room with 3 beds for a great rate. Breakfast left something to be desired, but when doesn't it? Overall good experience. Would stay again.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. It seems like the renovations were not done by professionals. Vents are crooked, door stops are misaligned, old screw holes are still visible, etc. The free breakfast is a real disappointment. Everything is microwaved and there are no fresh, healthy options. The desk worker seems to be responsible to maintain the area leaving one customer or another waiting. The prices are good, but I will be looking hard at other options on my next trip.

The beds were comfortable and well made with clean linens and fluffy pillows. The rooms need new wallpaper or paint and the bathrooms are dated but clean. The breakfast is all microwaved or from a can and very salty. They do have one waffle maker so if you can actually use it they're good but no fresh fruit or healthy breakfast choices. The attitude from the staff was very nice and accommodating but the owners attitudes came across as "do the minimum to make the money".

The room was dirty. Furniture covered with stains. Coffee pot had not been cleaned. Food crumbs on the bed, etc. Ick.

On August 27, we had a total of 3 hotel rooms booked under 2 reservation confirmations at the Rodeway Inn in Baker City. We are a traveling band and upon arrival at approximately 9 AM, Alexis at the front desk was able to check out driver into his room. At 11 AM, we checked to see if the additional rooms were available, but was instructed to return at 1 PM. At 1 PM, I checked into the 2nd room and stated extra towels were needed as it was a shower room only. This commented matched what we stated in the booking notes. "This room will be used as a shower room only. Extra towels needed, please. " No more than 2 people are in the shower room at 1 time, but a total of 6 people needed to shower. At 2 PM, when trying to checkin for our 3rd room, Alexis stated we were misusing the shower room and was calling the police. Furthermore, Alexis told one of our band members to step away from the counter and pointed to the security camera. In no way were we misusing the shower room and by that time, we were trying to check into the final room which we had pre-paid for. Upon police arrival, they took statements and handled the situation to the best of their ability. The final result was we could stay in our rooms (driver room to sleep and shower, shower room for band/crew, and spare room for a couple in the band/crew), but to stay out of the lobby. We agreed to this, but upon returning to our rooms, Alexis had deactivated our keys.

Good place to get a night's rest Reason for Trip:headed to a convention in Portland, OR We needed a good place to stay on our way to Home. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, although not out standing. Might want to skip the sausage gravy. Good staffs, near about all stores and restaurants.

Suggestion:It's the appropriate value for what is charged. Reason for Trip:Family life celebration Hotel has a more expansive breakfast than others with egg, sausage, potatoes, waffles, and more, TV's are flat screens. We had a nice stay here. It is near about all stores and restaurants. Staff are so helpful.

In town on business and they refused to give me the corporate rate after a coleege stayed the 2 weeks prior and was able to receive the corporate rate of $65. I had all my credentials with me on hand, even called my manager and the man refused give me the discount. I ended up paying $80 a night for a room that bathroom light glitche (not going out, just wouldn't always work), tub wouldn't stop draining while trying to take a bath and there was hair on the shower wall. Also I should not have to unpkug the TV or fridge to plug in the microwave. Took 5 min of tryin toreach the outlet yo warm my dinner. My 3 night stay I loved reviewing glares for the owner. Please not not once did I get hostile or mad, I'm a quiet person. But the glares from the owner is the only reason I'm unhappy. I shall not be returning when I come back to Baker City.
