Review of Comfort Suites Gainesville 3*

This was the worst hotel we stayed at by far! We are truck drivers and stay in a motel for our 34 he break! This was the only hotel that had rooms available in the area! When we got here at noon, we checked in, was told our room was ready. We came up to the room, opened the door and it was a disaster, it wasn’t cleaned and the room next door to us had 2 barking dogs. So we went back down, went out to our semi and sat out there until 4pm. Check in was at 3, but we had taken a nap due to us driving since 3am. We came in, checked in again as we had to show IDs, came up to our room and it still had not been cleaned, house keepers had left for the day and the dogs were still barking and whining. So we went back down told them our room was still dirty, they called 2 housekeepers back in to clean our room. We sat downstairs for a little over an hour while our room was getting cleaned. Finally we were able to get into our room, dogs barking every time the elevator opened, we had no tv, and our air conditioning didn’t work, it was stuck on 77, (it was 99 degrees out and humid) when we turned it down it would shut off. So we called down and complained about the TV and air. Lady at the desk told us she had called maintenance to come in, it’s now 830 pm, still no tv, air or maintenance guy. I usually do our weeks worth of laundry while at the motel, I put a couple loads in the washer, went down after they were done washing, put them in 2 dryers, stuck my money in the one dryer and it didn’t have a start button. The other dryer started, I went down after a half hour to switch loads, the stuff in the working dryer was soaking wet. I thought maybe I had not switched the know to normal dry, so I stuck another 2 dollars to dry them again, went down after 20 minutes dryer still running, it had no heat and clothes were soaking wet. Then I was beyond furious. I went down and complained, receptionist told me to bring all my laundry down and I could throw them in their big dryer. There are so many barking dogs throughout this hotel, that I asked if there was a dog show going on because everyone was bringing dogs in! This has not been a pleasant stay so far! I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone!
