Quiet, clean room, front desk hospitality was great, quuck no hassle check — in.

This hotel should be called the "Trash Bag Inn" staring Courtney, Lisa, and Cathy. What a joke those three were. A GM that drank like a fish and slept with any male guest that knocked on her door (she stayed at the hotel). The bar at ruby tuesdays across the street was her hang out spot. The front desk manager was always cussing guests out and getting up in their faces. The sales manager sat in the office and just "pretended" to do work but really stalked people's facebook pages on her phone. Her and Courtney were so two faced talking crap about everyone including themselves in the office with the door wide open and guests in the lobby. Not sure if they still work there, but holy hell, did those three give this hotel a BAD name.

Unwanted Guest aka Bed Bugs! I checked in my room with easy and the ladies at the desk were friendly. I left to go visit my grandparents which were approximately 30 mins away from the hotel. As I lay in bed watch television I felt something pinching on me. I pulled the covers back and saw nothing. Naturally I am extremely cold so the room was warm and I preferred it that way. Something told me to cool the room down and go to sleep. I did and approximately 130A I woke up sweating. I also woke up to bed bugs! In the bed near my head. I am so disgusted! I called the front desk and got a WONDERFUL attendant Shay. She immediately came and saw what I was experiencing. She removed me from the room and got me in another hotel bc I REFUSE to stay another night. I wish I could say the room was clean. It appeared clean. Shay was nice she was courtesy and professional. Like I told her she did NOTHING wrong. Unfortunately I am unable to interrogate the bugs and ask where they came from. Shay offered to dry my clothes and I appreciate it. I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m afraid to put on the clothes I have. I refuse to wear the night clothes I have and will wait until she brings my clothes to me. I am going to do everything I can to wash this night away! I hope the Hampton Inn is better. She did everything she could to make this right but I am still ANGRY! I have video also but unfortunately can’t upload it.

I did not stay at the hotel but I felt the need to leave a review about the maintenance man at this place. I work at Ruby Tuesday in front of the hotel and just so happened to be in our parking lot attempting to get in my car (keys were locked inside) when the maintenance man (Dante Bullock) was getting to work. He went and got what he needed from his maintenance office and came back and OPENED MY DOOR! Multiple ppl had been trying to get inside for hours…! I just wanted to give the hotel a review bc of his TIMELY and much needed awareness and genuine willingness to help a COMPLETE STRANGER in serious need! I can only imagine the quality of service the hotel staff provides if that maintenance man would go out of his way he way he did! Way to go Dante/Candlewood Suites!

Staff is friendly and location is great for my needs. The building and rooms have seen better days.

They went into my room and stole money. GM Steve happened to be there the next day and I told him what happened and now the staff is blocking me from talking to him. Who the hell runs a business like this.

Terrible hotel, i’ve been here for a bit over a month for work and we’re switching hotels because every week there’s a different problem with the rooms. Doors that don’t shut, rooms that smell like urine due to dogs, bugs, bathroom fans and ac won’t work, and some ladies in the front desk are very rude. They’ll have attitudes with you whenever you go ask for your room card! The candlewood in Apex has never gave me a problem.

Came here to visit my son. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Quite nice for an extended stay hotel.

Very nice place to stay when travel. Ms. Tammy Coleman was very polite to us. She made my experience very pleasant. Whenever I'm in Wilson North Carolina, I will be staying at Candlewood suites.

Came for a week vacation and the room we got at 1st smelled real bad like something died but go to find out the sink was dirty and had tuna in the sink plus the air conditioner in the room didn't work and it was over 90 degrees outside. We asked can we change our room the next day and we was able to get it changed and the 2nd room we got was perfect.

I love staying in hotels and figured based on the reviews this one would be pretty good. I was wrong. My biggest complaint would be that the AC didn't work, I called the front desk twice (once not long after check in and once around 1am after we realized we couldn't sleep in the heat and gave up) and they couldn't help, they were sold out so we were stuck with the room. It was so bad we even tried calling other hotels and were willing to leave in the middle of the night (all sold out). The next morning one of the staff lowered it to 54 down from 60, and told us that was why we had issues, but lowering it 6 more degrees isn't going to make the AC suddenly cool to 68 if it wasnt cooling below 80. It was tolerable enough to get a short nap in before check out, but it was still 70+ in the room when we left, not comfortable. I know other guests had issues because the staff told me they had given fans to other people throughout the night. It seems they are aware their ACs suck but aren't addressing it. The hotel was also dirty and had a weird smell, It felt damp from humidity. The hallways had stains and the rooms floors felt sticky, I had to wear my flip flops the whole time. It just didn't feel how I expect a hotel to feel, I felt sweaty and dirty the whole night even after a shower. The toilet paper roll was also half used, not a deal breaker, but I'm used to fresh things when I stay in hotels. Pros: The bed was comfortable, the sheets were soft.

My room had a smell, which is hard to describe kind of a dirty feet smell. Only plus is free coffee and the beds where soft. But with that smell it canceled out the good. Could be a really nice place if they maintained it.

After a long trip from FL heading to NJ we stopped here. The staff was courteous and the room was clean. We had our 60 lb dog with us who found this a happy place. Given all of the dirty places you find on 95 I would say this place is solid. Walking distance to food as well.

Booked a room and after arriving with our luggage we were turned away because of living within 50 miles of the establishment, had a night planned out with wife for 20th wedding anniversary.

If this Hotel is going to discriminate against Wilsonians or near by resident's within 50 miles you must display it on your Web site and publicly display on the wall at the service desk upon checking in. After 61 years of living in Wilson, I am finding out today that this is the case as of January 1st 2018. Wilsonians and surrounding City's will be outraged to find this out. Trust me they will find out by the News on TV, Facebook, and The Wilson Times. All this because you don't won't to attract local prostitutes and drunks or is it that you are trying to keep local citizens in the dark. Whatever the reason, you should be ashamed!

I chose one star since there wasn't a zero. I booked and prepaid 2 weeks in advance for a 5 night stay. When arriving for check in I was informed that I could not stay there. The reason was because I lived within a 50 mile radius. I was told that this time deterred prostitutes and drunks. I'm a 66 year old widow having work done at my home 12 miles away. I am very loved and respected in my home town of Wilson NC. This policy is neither advertised or posted for the public to see. My booking agent found me a 3 star room elsewhere but I had to drive 30 miles to it. The whole town is in an uproar over the boycott against our citizens. This needs to go viral and it will. Wait and see. The booking agents were not informed. Neither was the public in general so Candlewood just keeps excepting reservations just to turn people around at check in time. Peoples money is tied up for 5 to 7 business days before a refund can be issued. Put a sign on the door. Post it on your website for goodness sake. I can't use my right to free speech strongly enough here. Before you book a reservation with a hotel and live within a 50 mile radius of said hotel check to see if you will be allowed to stay there. Crime, prostitutes, drunks and drug addicts are everywhere. Even over 50 miles from your hotel.

Clean and cozy. Not very quiet for a giant refrigerator always in gear and hot air heating.

Our stay was very pleasant, the front desk workers were very pleasant and very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect. Complimentary coffee and tea was available at anytime. We would stay at hotel again.

Only stayed one night as part of a Florida road trip. It was the first time at a candlewood suites and probably the last as well. Chain appears to be geared towards lower income extended stays. This hotel is undermanned (only one person tends to entire hotel) and is not particularly clean but will do the job if you are looking for an inexpensive and minimalistic stay. Room had full size fridge, cook top, dishwasher and minimal cookware and utensils. No complimentary items except bad coffee, access to a sad looking gym and laundry if you need to do it.

My room on the first floor was spacious & clean Plenty of restaurants in the area And the staff were all courteous.

Traveling with a pet relegated us to the first floor. Our room was ok, but the bed was too close to the wall for an adult to walk beside it and had just one nightstand. The bathtub was gross with nasty grout. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and we both slept poorly. If we'd stayed a second night, we would have asked to be moved. Staff was very friendly, which is why we gave it the 3rd star.

Very rude manager and front desk clerk, double charging credit cards manager had the nerve to say that's why we don't rent to locals that was very unprofessional to say to a customer. I would not recommend others to this hotel. Customer service was very unprofessional.

The night lady was ok but not very helpful with questions, but thw morning desk guy was very helpful. The bathroom door was tough to shut/open and the hallway spelled like someone was out there smoking. Gross! Thankfully the room didn't smell like smoke. Otherwise it was a good stay. Everything seemed pretty clean and it was walking distance to quite a few places to eat.

Not the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed was clean enough, but the room could have been cleaned better. The hotel is barebones, doesn't offer breakfast. Beds are average, but small. One step above a decent roadside motel. Would stay here again if I were by myself and just for a night. Not long term.

The young ladies behind the desk provided excellent service. The room's kitchen was adequate, although its' refrigerator ice maker was very slow. For a room that accommodates dogs there were no offensive odors. We would definitely return.

I chose this hotel because it was one of the few dog friendly hotels with an acceptable rating at a good halfway point in my trip. I was disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel when I arrived. There are stains all over the carpets in the hotel and a funny odor. Trash and old bed sheets were left in the hallway overnight. There were mold and pink spots in my bathroom and the room floor was sticky. The countertop had a visible stain from a mess that wasn't adequately cleaned up. Outside, the dog poop station was out of bags. On the bright side, there is a dog bowl filled with cigarette butts, mosquito larvae, and algae if your dog is into that. My sheets did appear to be clean. I am usually comfortable at 2 star hotels but this place is too dirty and run down for me. Do not stay here if you value a clean hotel.

Comfy rooms. Nice safe. Office area with printers. Very clean comfortable beds. All around great experience I 2would go there again.

All of the hotel staff was great — after traveling how nice to walk into a hotel and someone greets you with a smile and welcome you. They love pets — which is a plus in my book. The rooms were clean and even the ladies cleaning the rooms were friendly and love to talk. The hotel is located close to great restaurants. This will definitely be my stop on my travels. Keep up the great Customer Service skills!

I have stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Wilson, NC many times before, but I experienced a theft in my room during my stay this weekend Feb. 18-19, 2017. Once I discovered that my items had been stolen and reported to the front desk staff, no manager was onsite to offer assistance. I was told I had to wa it until Sunday morning to speak with the manager on duty, who conveniently never showed up for work prior to my check out and departure. The morning shift front desk guest service staff contacted Cindy King, Regional Director on my behalf, and she was very unprofessional, uncooperative, and very dismissive regarding the theft of my belongings. I requested that Ms. King review the camara to see who entered my room after I checked in, and her unwillingness to cooperate left me no alternative but to contact the local police dept. Needless to say, I left the hotel livid. Cindy King did not offer any resolution, compensation, or reimbursement for my loss therefore leaving me to feel victimized twice. This was the worst experience ever. I will NEVER stay there again.

It I could leave zero stars, I would. But I can't, so one will have to do. I arrived on a Friday, and I alerted the front desk manager on duty that I had to stay another night and she said it was fine. I signed my papers and went up to my room. At about six thirty in the morning on Saturday my land line phone rang, it was the front desk, they were asking if I was staying another night. My answer was yes, they said ok and hung up. Now, 9:30 rolls around and I get a knock on …the door, and I put out our NO housekeeping/do not disturb signs so I assumed it was family. Nope, someone once again asking if I was staying another night. I said yes and she wrote something down and went along her way. Flash forward to me in Raleigh, an hour away, and I get a phone call from a nasty little thing named Courtney telling me I needed to be out in an hour. I explained the situation and Courtney flat out disrespected me and called me a liar. She was extremely rude and refuses to give me any information on who was calling my room at 6:30 if it wasn't her front desk and who was knocking on my door at 9:30. On top of that they over charged my prebooked room by almost double and wouldn't give me any info for the general manager.

Great place. To stay dog friendly amended come and stay whether great.

Overall good stay, I was disappointed in the pressure of the shower.

The room smelled very humid as soon as I walked in. Other than that, my stay was pleasant.

Floor was not clean (pieces of paper, finger nail) and the kitchen trash bin was full, one cup and a plate dirty. But the worst is the fridge, which is incredible loud, so I woke up every hour.

Over charged my card 3 times in one week lost over a 1700.00 not cool. I will never pay with card again.

Cannot enter a zero, unfortunately. General Manager was horrible. They canceled my room and then told me I did not call to confirm… though I had a confirmation number and was assured the weekend before everything was good. Everyone had a bad experience here. Nice Hampton Inn next door.

Little expensive, but great stay. We stayed here with our 13 month old little girl and our 4 year old dog almost 2 months.

I will never stay here again. I paid cash and they still authorized over $90 on my debit card. They held my money for 30 days. If I paid cash they should not have touched my debit card. My stay was ok as far as the accommodations are concerned. However, I stayed on the bottom floor and the curtain was sheer. The misleading thing about the room was that they have a full kitchen in their rooms because they don't, there is no oven. Only a cooktop.

Our stay was great all thoughh the place has a few problems the staff was great and went out of there way to make out stay great will stay there if we come to Wilson again great job staff.

I travel for business and hate living in a bedroom, so I always try to find an extended stay type. This place is great, the rooms are very spacious and have a kitchen, with a flat screen in the living room. The bed is great as well. The staff is very friending and always willing to please. I will be returning again my next trip.
