It's a beautiful hotel. The lobby was very nice and tidy with complimentary delicious coffee. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was catered in but it was absolutely delicious. The room for the event was small and exactly the amount of space needed for the occasion. Parking was great! It was a very pleasant visit at the SureStay. I heard an individual say they will be booking their birthday party there because of the perfect fit for her number of guests. She also stated that the rental price is very affordable and reasonable! Thumbs up to SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Tarboro NC.

The manager was awesome! Friendly and personable, he made us feel at home. Breakfast was easy above average and we enjoyed the whole experience. I totally recommend this place to my friends!

Got a really great deal for a 7 day stay. People are very friendly here, and the beds are comfy. The swimming pool was a plus also.

This place is absolutely horrible. The carpet is filthy when you enter the hallway the smell will knock you off your feet! We went without water for several hours and couldn't shower before we attended our event! When we first got in our room there was no washcloths. In one of our rooms the door couldn't lock. We reported it several times therefore we had to travel with our laptops and personal belongings because we couldn't lock our door. Tammy at the front desk runs the whole hotel there is no manager on site. Tammy checks in and checks out, she's maintenance she cooks breakfast, she takes out trash she does it all. This hotel is understaffed and and disgusting DHEC need to shut it down as soon as possible. If you have an issue there is no manager to contact the only thing you are given is an email. Because of this experience I will always ask to see my room before checking in, this was an absolutely horrible experience.

Absolutely AMAZING hotel. We had booked at budget inn and got there and was terrified so we found this hotel. The gentleman at check I'm was super accommodating. We checked in about 1:30am and he helped us carry our bags into our rooms and everything. Probably the best customer service I've ever received at a hotel. The breakfast is complete with biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs and so much more! Anyone should stay here! There is no doubt about it MY WIFE, MYSELF AND OUR DAUGHTER WILL RETURN.

The place best I've stayed at. The people are friendly and nice clean rooms. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Orville was my point of contact. He was very pleasant. I was wary of small town hotels, but when we arrived everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. FREE Wi-Fi and Breakfast. We checked out at 5:30am and Orville gave us a breakfast care package for the road because breakfast wasn't until 6:30am. Above and beyond my expectations. 5 stars.

Some of the staff is very nice but the Manager is extremely rude. He doesn't want to hear anything and is all about the numbers. The Quality Inn up the road is a equally as nice and the manager is a very reasonable person. The rates at the Quality Inn are less expensive than this place. So don't waste your time and money on a place that doesn't care about it customers and only cares about taking you for all they can get from you. Sad that this owner/manager really has no heart.

It started out good but toilet didn't work. I can say the room was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Best place to stay in Tarboro. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, strong internet, and hot breakfast.

It was clean the people were nice all around I liked my stay.

We stayed here Thanksgiving day. Check in front desk rep. Was nice and friendly. The next morning we had no wash clothes. We was told when the room was finish cleaning house keeping was gone for the day and we could have call the front desk for wash clothes. The problem I had was when I saw a dog in the hallway. I didn't know this was a pet friendly hotel. I don't do animals and don't want to sleep or be in a room that someone else pet was in… I think the price of 90 something dollars is to much for this hotel. This is the most we have ever paid at this hotel when it was Best Western We have AAA and was told they automatically deduct it out she didn't even look at my card. We also had to wait on the breakfast that was cold… The refrigerator was noisy and loud and kept me up. We will reconsider base on price and room. They just need to do a little adjustment.

The issue was fixed so I have changed my review… The event went well in the conference room. The only issue was that the room was not ready when my family got there to set up for the baby shower (floor had to be vacuumed) but other than everything was fine.

I filed a complaint with best western an tgey told me this is not best western hotel. But when you long into the Wi-Fi it says best western, the managers business card says best western, the door sign do not disturb says best western but the corporate said they cant give me my money back because they are Not a best western yet. My experience at the room was ant infested. No one clean my room. And to extra towels a little boy went from room to room empty rooms to take those towels out to give to me. Be concerned when the house keeper has a can a raid on her cart cleaning rooms. Discussed. Never had a problem with this hotel until now. Never again.

I would like to know who owns this property. I called and made reservations for two rooms and was told after asking about their cancellation policy rhat I would not be charged a cancellation fee by a clerk named Catrina. Therefore I made the reservations. Therefore day I was to checkin I called to inform the hotel that I would only need one room because my party had a family emergency. I was then informed by the clerk that I would in fact be charged for both room because of their cancellation policy (which I was told there was no cancellation fee) After informing the clerk of the conversation I had with Catrina, she stated that I would indeed be charged for the cancellation fee. After several minutes of deliberation, the clerk and manager began to state that it was the hotel's policy and that I would be charged even though Catrina informed me that I wouldn't be charged. After the manager spoke with my husband, she informed him that I would not be charged a cancellation fee. She then called my cell phone to inform him that she would still charge my card for the rooms and we were not welcomed at the hotel and if we showed up, she would call an officer. She refused to give her name to my husband. I will certainly take action against this awful business and it's unprofessional staff.

Had a funeral to attend so we rushed and settled on this place. Was one of the worse stays I've ever had — this is why I love using resorts. Ants were all over the bed/room in the morning, closet door off hinges when we arrived (they promised someone would be up), phone didn't work for us to call the front desk and we couldn't use the 2nd bed because the sheets were dirty when we pulled them back. Terrible, terrible service,

I'm surprised at some of the reviews I have read on here. We have stayed here a couple of times and it was nice. Clean rooms, good A/C. Clean bathrooms and staff is nice. No complaints. I have a 3rd stay already booked here for Sept.

Working out of town. Got here Sunday, four days in now. Was kinda crazy getting the room even tho it was booked a couple days in advance. Got to say, it's not the Ritz, but I have no complaints so far. Room was clean and the cleaning lady gas done a great job. Breakfast is better than most places I've stayed and it's ALWAYS been ready when I get ready to leave in the mornings. Wi-Fi does really good for a motel. All the staff has been courteous. I do wish they had a laundry room… cause working the long hours I do — that would help a bunch. Maybe they could consider that.

This is one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in! It smelled of mildew all throughout our room. The staff was very friendly and nice, but the hotel was disgusting!

Have stayed in this hotel at least 4 times and each stay has gotten worse than the previous stay. Previously, the management always wanted to make a side deal. When told under new management, was looking forward to a bit of a face-lift since it's a small town and you don't have much of a choice. Rooms needs to be repainted because they are dull, curtains are dusty, TV goes in/out, carpets stained, dresser drawers don't open and close properly and the toilet was unleveled to the floor. Plus, the continental breakfast was limited and noticed people pulling up from the street utilizing the ground floor bathroom with no problem. That's new management? All this AFTER changing rooms because wasn't pleased with the first room. Is that because there's not much competition? Next visit will probably due better at the up and coming newly renovated Buget Inn that is currently under construction. Definitely overpriced for the service!

Though the facility itself could use a few repairs (the only reason it didn't get​ 5 stars), the staff definitely get 5 stars. After an emergency, my 20 y/0 daughter had to stay at the hotel until I could come get her (a 14 hr drive). The staff took care of her as if she was one of their own. From the manager, front desk staff, and housekeeper, they were wonderful. I can't thank them enough. It sure helped to relieve this worried momma's mind.

If I could rate this hotel a 0 I definitely would. As soon as I entered the hotel my nose was hit with an unpleasant smell in the hallways. When we got settled in our room that same unpleasant smell was in our room as well. The sheets were dingy and had several spots on them. I couldn't even enjoy my sleep because of the loud noise from the air conditioner, it sounded like someone was breaking into the window. Several of my family members were bit by bed bugs and we have pictures to prove it. When my family member went down to tell the front desk about the bed bugs she was told by a Caucasian female "what do you want me to do about it"! All together this is a NASTY establishment! I am so disgusted and I will NEVER return. I have a huge social media platform that I will use to let others know about how disgusting this place is!

People are very friendly, rooms are clean and nice looking. Breakfast is great for a free breakfast. Only issue I experienced was if you want a hot shower, you need to wake early. The hot water heater didn't keep up with morning guest demand.
