Very family friendly and always on top of things. I give it 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Checked into the hotel about 11:15pm. Walked into the room and discovered the room had not been cleaned or the beds made. Back down to the front desk to get another room. In the new room, the toilet seat had melted cigarette burns on it even though it was a non-smoking room. Turned on the air conditioner. It sounded like a freight train and the smell! It smelled like a combination of deodorizer and urine. Off it went. Everything felt damp including the bed linens. They also had a horrible smell. The mini fridge/freezer in the room had so much ice build up it was not usable. The washcloths and towels were abrasive. There was also a hole in the ceiling with exposed wires. Bottom line we were very dissatisfied with our stay and won't be back.

GREAT STAFF! Our group of 12 Drove in from MI arrived about 1pm and check-in was not until 3pm. Sandra at front desk did not get bothered she did everything to get us checked in early. Sandra through our stay made sure we were all around good. Deborah that did breakfast area was VERY PLEASANT! There are two older ladies at front desk at night very pleasant and conversational. The cleaning crew came in cleaned our rooms nice. I have a phobia sleeping under covers at hotels so I bring my own they made bed up and took my covers and made hearts with them and laid over bed, left us in an AAAWWWeeeee State! Clean facility and Great Stay I MOST DEFINITELY IF IN AREA STAY AGAIN! As long as these reps are there! RLM.

A bunch of liars work there always an excuse for something Left my medicine in room was told first it would be mailed out on Monday by Hope waited and waited meds never came called back said mail went out on Fridays ok waited again still no Meds called oh we've been short staff… come on now but they took my credit card info no problem doin that … still 3wks later ive not recieved my meds… LIARS! And the rooms stink…

My company booked several rooms here recently, one of the rooms had food left in the refrigerate and there was personal belongings left behind my the previous guest. So that made us wonder if room had been clean good enough. Also we noticed that several things at the hotel were broken.

Great place to stay in Tarboro, the front desk clerk, Hope, was very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for a wedding in a "non-smoking" room and it was the smokiest room I have ever been in. Everything we had in the room smells like smoke. Asked for another room and they said the there were no more available.

This hotel was not bad. It was clean and tidy. I can tell it went through a remodel. It was up to date and contemporary looking. The beds were really soft and comfortable. It was very quiet here. I couldn't here too much noise from the street. I would defenantly stay here again.

Very good rates and the rooms are very clean and well kept.

1st room had 1 bed when asked for 2.2nd room had cock roaches super bad. 3rd room was ok with the exception of no volume on the TV for the first hour if turning it on. Overnight desk clerk was rude and not professional until confronting her on the attitude. Morning and day staff was great and very friendly and helpful.

Our room didn't have a remote for the TV, nor a hair dryer. The employees piled the (clear, and full) garbage bags right outside our window. When asking for the Wi-Fi passcode, shortly after checking in, the lady that checked us in responded with "and WHAT room are YOU in? " (when answered, she rambled off the 4 digit passcode, ensuring that my room number didn't really matter). At 5am, when asking what is causing our wall to vibrate 1-2 times per hour (waking me up), this same lady responded with "I don't know what it could be, no one else is complaining about anything. Sorry it's keeping you up. " Nothing came from that conversation, by the way. I was REALLY hoping the breakfast would make up for the shortcomings, but this, like the receptionist's personality, was also pretty gross. Overall, worst hotel stay yet.

We found a roach in the bathtub. The refrigerators was messed up and it's was red stuff over the carpet.

Not very clean. Room had not been vacuumed, debris on floor. Empty shampoo container left in shower. Floor behind bathroom door was dirty, etc. Etc.

This place is horrible. The rooms smell like mold, the carpet was soaking wet. The pool was dirty the fitness room was out of order for the whole 3days I stayed there. I also had mold in and around my shower, oh to also add the jacuzzi was out of order. Two tv's in my room and only one worked. My list could go on and on. I only put one star because I had to.

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our trip an excellent experience. They allowed our group to use the lobby to congregat instead of us trying to pile into a room to hang out. They were very accommodating!

Room was clean and front desk staff was very nice, I will definitely stay here again, on my next visit to Tarboro.

Loved my stay, comfortable sleeping bed, clean room and bath. Excellent breakfast. Receptionist very warm and friendly at checkin and checkout. A very lovely place to stay…

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was the nastiest hotel I have ever seen in my life! Their lobby restroom was worse than any gas station bathroom in the back woods somewhere, a porta pottie was cleaner. The staff was busy eating pizza so one came to the front desk to talk to us instead yelling at us from the table where they were eating pizza. The reservation said rooms ready after 12noon, we arrived around 1pm, they said it would be after 3pm before rooms would be ready. If they weren't eating pizza, they could have at least clean that public restroom by the front desk. Its been almost a week and I'm still having nightmares about that bathroom.

The staff at the Quality Inn was excellent and very friendly. The accommodations however were lacking. The room was dirty, the furniture was broken and in disrepair as were several of the outlets in the room. Even though the room was a non-smoking room it still had a cigeratte smoke smell. Will not be staying there again.

We stay here because the hotel we usually stay at was full. It was a big mistake. The hotel was under renovation and we wasn't told that when our reservation was made. If I had know this we would have stayed in rocky mount and drove to the family gathering. I was sick the whole weekend even 2 days after I got home due to the dust and the smell. The carpet was dirty because dust. I feel like the price should have been reduce. I called and complain and was told it was out of there control. Not… just inform your guest and don't make them sick for money you want. I would like a free night stay at another one or something to make of for the money I had to spend to get well.

DO NOT STAY HERE! It was within 2 miles of the hospital where a family member was staying & very ill. They were renovating & materials were everywhere. OSHA, the fire department & any other safety organizations would NOT have approved. In two days a ladder was NEVER moved from the 1st floor hallway & the employees never wore uniforms but regular clothes. Also, the employees ate breakfast BEFORE the guests & staff refused to add more food even though guests had to go without (this was 1 hour before breakfast was over). The room we had needed new carpet (bulky with lots of stains). The mirror had a permanent "haze" & the commode was very worn & "light" brown! I tried to find other accommodations but they were unavailable. We only slept there but we were very disappointed in our stay. My husband insisted these accommodations were typical of Eastern NC. I KNOW this is NOT Eastern NC'S BEST!

They were obviously renovating so it's hard to know what to attribute to the hotel being in flux but overall it left much to be desired. The amenities were lacking (tiny shampoo and conditioner, mismatched coffee packages) and the spare bed didn't have sheets despite the room being booked for three.

Very disappointed when we first got here we stood at the desk waiting for the receptionist. We happen to look outside see a young lady standing out there talking to her friend she finnally looked back and saw us and another man waiting. We were told we were in a smoking wrong neither one of us smoked. Then we get to the room carpet is filthy. On top of all that theres a couple of bugs that look like a roach it has legs on the wall. Ive loved staying at Comfort Inn before but this is the pits they re changing it to Quality Inn here but, I dont think we will ever stay here again we still have another night here.

I stayed here a whole week. They serve great breakfast quiet clean pool. Right next door/walking distance to plenty food options. And staff was very friendly.

I stayed here with my family to rest after a long day of driving. I have 3 kids and the lady working the counter was nice enough to discount our room which was usually 140$ to 90$. The room smelled like mold but that's kind of what I expect for a 90$ hotel room. When I woke up in the morning I saw what I thought was a glass of juice, but it was actually a glass of rusty water my daughter got in the middle of the night from the sink. They told me that it was due to remodeling, which is understandable if certain pipes are shut off for long periods of time. After looking in the AC and finding 1" layer of mold, bed bug stains on the mattress and gnarly stains all over the carpet, I had enough and complained to the front desk they discounted my room to 81$ after taxes. Which I feel is fair since I did actually suspect there might be issues with the room but did not fee like pulling my kids out of bed, packing up the car and driving an unknown distance into the night 3 hours after my kid's bedtime. I definitely would not have stopped if I knew the conditions.

Old rooms but comfortable. A little pricey.

We rented out a room for a party. Friendly and helpful staff but a little unorganized. They lost record of payment but once they made calls and checked computer they fixed mistake. Very nice inside as well.

I checked into this hotel on the 6th of February, 2015, because I was too tired to drive to my sister's home near Greenville. My mother is in the hospital in Tarboro. First, the room smelled horrible and looked worse with old dirty carpet that I would not want to walk on with bare feet. If the carpet is dirty and the room smells, I know better than to think I will get any sleep. I usually avoid most Comfort Inns for this reason. I have yet to find one that is clean. I am a Choice Hotels member, so I know what I am saying here. I wasn't asked if I was a member, by the way. After viewing the room, I immediately returned to the front desk and told the clerk to check me out of the room. She told me my refund had been processed and that I didn't need to worry, so I didn't. Four days later, my bank account was charged for the room. I called and spoke to the desk clerk again. She took my name and number and told me she'd call me right back with more information on the situation. I called my bank and found that there was never a refund issued in the first place. I had to file a dispute to get my money back. I ended up driving an hour to stay at my sister's place that night.

My best friend in the world lives in Tarboro and every time we go to see her we stay here. And we are going to stay here again in two weeks when we come down for her grandson's 4th birthday party. Rooms are always clean, staff is always friendly and we have never had any complaints. Nice place to stay and I definitely recommend it. Be there again very soon!

Great place. The rooms were big and comfortable. The bed was the best sleep I've had in a long time. The staff was wonderful, making the conference room available to our group. And the cleaning staff was on the ball with extra blankets and pillows. I asked for sheets and a blanket for the fold out bed, and the maid was at my door when I got to my room.

I stayed here in December 2011 and would definitely go back. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, reasonably quiet, and staff was considerate and helpful. Lmast year I had stayed at the Best Western in Tarboro and the Comfort Inn was definitely nicer. My only negative was that the equipment in fitness room was in need of repair.
