The room was clean and bed comfortable. But no frills. During the night and all night long they were doing renovations directly above my room. So my family was awakened numerous times to banging noises like someone was going to fall through the ceiling. The shower didn't drain well and the toilet was weak in flushing. I fixed the toilet myself with the plunger.

Rooms are clean and spacious. It's a "no frills" hotel, but for the price it works.

Shopping and food nearby! Super! Walmart is open throughout! I've been visiting the hotel for the fourth time! And I'm sure you'll come back! The room is well equipped with TV, cooker, microwave and large fridge/freezer… Bathtub, air conditioning and with free Wi-Fi. The receptionist is not busy but the staff are all the friendlier and always helpful!

Nasty, loud, people getting drunk, people getting arrested. I travel for work and when I arrived the room smelled like cigarettes and I was supposed to be in a non smoking room. Walls and floors are paper thin so you can hear the basketball team above you and the porno shoot next to you. The only reason I haven't moved is I'm to F@ exhausted in the evening when I get off work. Only reason for the 1 star is it would not let me post without.

Great staff. Great hotel. Weekly rate isn't bad either… especially if you consider what you're getting. Basically a studio apartment (mini kitchen is only missing an oven… a toaster oven fixes that though…) I recommend this hotel to people looking for a decent price…

Comfortable beds, stove tops, microwave and refrigerator. Nice cozy place to stay for descent price. 5 stars!

Not really a hotel or an extended stay. Fairly new but does not appear to have been really cleaned since it was new. No utensils as advertised. Obviously weak and lazy management from the very top down!

The room smelled like cigarettes (we were on the non-smoking floor). The pillowcases were dirty when we got in the room. The people above us were super loud and obnoxious. Not even worth the fairly cheap price of the room.

The manager and assistant manager where great. There is a few very rude specially one guy he big guy with glasses always gave my son and I dirty looks and accused us of smoking in room who h we did not. Rooms were ok, don't pay for internet we paid for faster so we could watch movies and play games and The free was better.

We have been here for 3 weeks and we have had a great experience. The staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. They are quick to assist you with all of your needs or if anything goes wrong in your room. The price is great and well worth it. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

I travel with my husband on the pipeline for a living an this is one of the best extended stay kinda hotel we've ever stayed at! We've been here over 2 months an we've enjoyed every minute of it! Very safe place for you, your pets and your family. It's very affordable, comfortable & quiet! The employees are so gracious an kind an make sure you have everything you need at all times. The rooms are super nice an always clean. There's kitchenettes in every room with a full size refrigerator an 2 stove eyes & a microwave. Bathroom is spacious with a deep, big tub. The best place to stay overnight, for weeks or months!

No thrills but had what we needed which served our purpose. Clean and had a hot shower. Would definitely stay again for the price!

Location was very good. Rooms were not as nice as they could be as they are very basic, but clean. Didn't get any service only there two nights.

The staff is great, and the hotel is being upgraded constantly. Our room smelled bad, had chips in the walls, end of the kitchen and bathroom counters we're broken, microwave was rusty, and more. Good thing… the price.

Very clean and enjoyable place to stay. All the workers are very friendly. Nice big refregarater and cooking area in rooms. Place usually all ways filled up.

Adequate lodging at a very affordable price. I stayed in a studio room, plenty of space for one or two people (double bed). In room kitchenette included a full size fridge, small microwave, 2 burner electric cooktop and hood fan. A desk / table, small bureau, night stand, shelf and a place to hang your clothes. Also includes an in room controlled heat / AC unit. On site guest laundry facilities available.

Rooms are clean and staff is very nice. Rates are reasonable. Perfect if you want to stay somewhere and cook so you don't have to eat out all the time.

The location was decent, the room was clean, it was a double studio upgraded from a single because there wasn't one available. I would recommend this hotel. If I had to pick an issue it was that the bed mattress was relatively hard.

Has affordable weekly rates, decently clean rooms, cold AC, hot water, television, internet, full size fridge and freezer combo, and an electric range. Not much else is good or bad. Staff are decent and accommodating. Walls are a little thin. They provide a few clothes hangers and a laundry basket. Close to many shopping and grocery stores; restaurants as well.

I stay at Value Place on January 15, 2016, The room was clean and basic at best. Around about 2:00 — 2:30 am was awaiting by people constantly coming in the side door on the first floor by my room which was Room I called the front desk with no result. Then around about 8:30 am. I very rudely awaking by the people that was staying in Room They was playing the television, and talking loud, and a gentlemen was coughing up a lung sound-like. I called the Front desk twice and didn't get a answer. So I checkout and told the lady that was working at the front desk that I wanted a full refund. Cause of the noise issues and received no resolved. She told me with no problem that they didn't do refunds. Then I still had to drive eleven hours to Little Rock, Arkansas with proper rest. So I wouldn't recommend no one to stay at Value Place location in Shelby, NC.

I know I see a lot of bad post about this place but this is my 2nd time staying here and it's very nice and very clean also the staff and manager are very polite. No bugs no bed bugs and no noise… best in Shelby. The bad reviews are from people who just hating.

Basic hotel. If you wanted to cook, you needed to provide or purchase your own pots and pans, which was disappointing.

Will never stay here again. The towels look like they have been in use for 2 years and they have stains on them. Beds are hard. The bed linens and blankets are very cheap and thin. Standard TV channels are missing. Walls are very thin and you can hear people in the hall and in the other rooms. Everything is extra… Wi-Fi is $10 a week per device but only works part of the time. Ended up staying for a week and had to pay $70 a night with linen service and Wi-Fi. Motel would be way better.

This place sucks they got bed bugs. The manager treat you whit a bad attitude. They stole my friend walet.

Very Clean and Comfortable. Was in Shelby for about a week. It came out to $27.00 a night for super clean and comfortable rooms. I had paid in upper $70 range per night in Shelby on my previous trip, hands down Value Place has better and bigger rooms then those high priced hotels. I wish, I would have known about Value Place before.
