Awesome staff and experience. This hotel is located in an excellent location off the highway. I would accidentally stay here! The breakfast options are perfect.

Hotel was quiet. Staff was helpful. Price for room was great. Room was clean and had a fridge. The only negative I have is room was left open after maid cleaned it. Wifi was also great.

Really, everything was pretty good! The only hitch was, the hotel was undergoing renovations and looked in pretty bad disrepair, with paint partially scraped off walls, ceiling tiles missing or half-falling out, and a lot of tools and buckets and whatnot lying around. However, the service at the desk, the room itself, and the breakfast served were all decent and satisfying. In my opinion, this is more important than how the public spaces look, so it was overall a pleasant experience!

It is having a serious face-lift ATM. It's a nice older hotel and normally very clean. Everyone knows how remodles go… UGH WHAT A MESS! But the new rooms are great! Very modern! Pictures to come soon.

The person running the counter was rude and has absolutely no customer service skills of any kind. Booked online and they accepted my card, when I tried to check in, the tide clerk informed me that my card was invalid while my 3 week old newborn sat in the car, then she refused to accept cash as my card "wasn't valid" what a joke. Don't waste your time, the place is obviously on its way to bring out of business and no one there cares.

Lady there named Hidy or Hidie works front desk is really rude and talks very unprofessionally rooms are nice breakfast was not good pancake mix was spoiled yuck but customer service sucks big time oh I forgot to mention they have renovations going on clutter everywhere and nails laying out in hallways very dangerous and considered negligent.

Had my GF fly in from FL to visit for the holiday. This place looked decent online, not the case in person. For whatever reason they decided to renovate during memorial weekend. We get here and first thing we see is old mattresses clogging the parking lot along with other construction materials. We get inside and there's this weird odor and debris everywhere. Just filthy. The elevator was probably the worst. We were on the 3rd floor. All by the elevator was nasty looking and a vending machine had been moved kind of in front, blocking your way. Our room had a strange smell, we had to buy some Glade spray. Fire alarm went off during the day because of them renovating, totally interrupted us doing you know what. They expanded to renovating the lobby, everything is a mess and blocked off. They offer breakfast here, but it's nothing special at all. Waffle maker, toast, bagel, little debbie cinnamon wheel, yogurt. The one redeeming thing is they're pretty consistent with house keeping… It's currently 1am and the fire alarm has gone off again. This is the worst experience we've ever had. We would really love our money back. We feel cheated.

The upgraded rooms are very nice buy my A. C. Unit was leaking and water was all over my room. I complained and they couldn't change my room because the hotel was booked… smh.

This hotel is under remodeling/construction and the rooms are not well maintained and do not appear clean. Ok to stay one night when in a pinch, but otherwise not recommended.

The hotel has been under remodel since November from what I have been told. Quite Frankly, they should not have any guests until the remodel is complete. Safety hazards are everywhere. My room was terrible, unclean and in dire need of repairs. IF they desire guests they should charge $20 nightly vs their standard rate. I gave it 2 stars because I could walk next door to MEPS and say goodbye to my daughter who went into the Air Force today without having to drive.

My room was on the 2nd floor, and coming off the elevator, the 1st thing I noticed was how dirty and stained the carpet was, the not so pleasant odor in the hallway. Reminded me of a stairway in a NYC project. I realize they are renovating, but the way the hallway looked and smelled has nothing to do with that. Get to the room, at least that didn't smell, but the carpet… the sliding bathroom door not in its track properly and the door all scarred up because of it. The service was decent, and the night clerk pleasant. If you asked for something, she got it promptly. Would I stay here again… NO. At least not before they've completely renovated.

Horrible qservice by karen (if it’s her real name, she wouldn’t gave me her name). I came around 11:00pm after long day, I’m a truck driver, and I made a reservation 2 hours earlier… the credit card on my account didn’t work so she cancelled my reservation, usually it’s not a problem, when I arrived I oay cash or with different card but in this hotel they immediately canceling your reservation, even without to call. By the way I’m a diamond member and they have all my information, I’m sleeping every day in choice hotels, thing like that never happened to me. The reception woman are very rude and I felt that since I stepped in. Do your self a favor and choose different place to sleep, they have no respect for people! I drove special to their after a long day and they even don’t care.

Is very dirty, The bathroom does not work.

The room I stayed in was the perfect size for me. Small, would be a great descriptive word. Nothing fancy, just wanted a place to sleep close to my work. The room was nicely kept, but you can tell it hasn't been updated in a while. Very small breakfast bar with not many choices. I would recommend if you aren't that picky where you stay the night.

Great stay. Clean room. No smoke smell! However lots of road noise.

I stayed here for 2 nights. I enjoyed my enclosed, quiet, smoking room. Its a little small, as far as their basic rooms go. Thankfully this hotel still offers smoking rooms and decent ones at that. I liked the location as well, on the backside you can see 440/beltline. So if you're a person who hates hearing traffic and stuff while sleeping… try to ask to be put on the front. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because during my stay the little mini fridge barley worked. I reported it initially and maintenance was sent promptly. But he pretty much only turned the knob back and forth and jiggled a cord and said "it's working now". In which, it did not. Smh, one of my items ended up going bad due to this. The whole time I was there I had to keep playing with the knob. But whatever, I'll stay there again, I just want a smoking room with a working refrigerator next time.

Hotel is moderately clean. Not fancy, but suitable for the price. Lots of restaurants around close. Had a do not disturb sign on door. Room was still cleaned and AC turned off. It was miserably hot when I got back to room. Hotel clerk apologized and advised he will speak to cleaning manager. Also reduce my rate 10%. I will return here.

No Complaints, Great Value & More Bang For Your Buck.

"Fire death" happened in front of their surveillance cameras. It was bad enough when they didn't notice someone leaving a threatening note on my car saying they would key the car when I parked funny after 14 hours on the road had made my back stiff and I got a little lazy with my parking. It was terrifying to look out the window and see smoke outside and all the flashing lights. Then people were not allowed to come or leave because the police had to investigate — — someone had died. Are their cameras turned on? Clearly they have no security person watching them. This used to be my go-to Raleigh motel. It is so hard to find a good place to stay in Raleigh that I have decided to stay outside the city after this experience.

Great Experience. My wife and I need a place to stay last minute and it was amazing for the $60 spent. Quiet, great staff, and minutes from great eats. Everyone at the front desk were knowledgeable of the area and smiled genuinely. Not a must stay but if you need a quick overnight nap headed south, give it a go.

For the price this was a great hotel. Check in was fast and easy. The night clerk seemed to be having a bad day, but was friendly enough. The room was clean, as were the linens. We asked for extra pillows but were told they didn't have any in the back. But there was 4 pillows on our queen bed, so that was OK. The shower was clean and the water was nice and hot. The breakfast consists of muffins, bagels, cereal, fresh make your waffles, fresh bread for toast, milk, oj, Apple juice, and coffee. The day clerk is super friendly, very helpful and very funny. She had us laughing the whole time we paid for a second night. The cleaning staff was at the front desk as we were signing the receipts and asked if we were going need service, we asked for fresh towels and they bought those to us still warm. So all in all for $60 a night this was great. I read other reviews that said there were bugs, the rooms were dirty, and there were drug dealers in the parking lot. I saw no bugs! my room was clean! and unless someone offered you drugs, exactly how do you know what a drug dealer looks like? I will definitely be coming back again.

Better than I was expecting for the cheap rates they have. Our room was spacious and the bed was pretty comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was alright but nothing to write home about. This hotel is worth it for the price and I would definitely stay here again.

The room I got had bed bugs (bedbugs) and in addition a lot of noise in the rooms at the side (the place is ideal for your pocket, but unpleasant if you want to rest)

It had ok, somewhat comfortable rooms. But, the hotel lost my reservation, and I am sure that I had gotten eaten up by bedbugs. And, when we left the room at 6 am, and came back at around 2 pm, the room STILL HADN'T BEEN CLEANED! And, when they say that the "Breakfast" ends at 9:30 am, they MEAN IT! At 9:30 am and 1 second comes, it is SHUT DOWN! Everything is cleaned up and put away… But, they can't have the rooms cleaned up by 2pm?!?!?! I don't understand that part. Would I go back there? Only if it's the ONLY reasonably priced hotel in the area… Otherwise, probably not. And, I'd be willing to pay an additional $25/night. And, we were there for 5 nights, so that would be an additional $125… But, if my room is cleaned up by 2 pm, and there aren't any bedbugs, I'd pay the additional $125 in a heartbeat!

Recently renovated, with excellent results. I loved the entertainment system (you can use your own Netflix account, FINALLY), and the restaurant staff was superb. Good location, great hotel.

Place is awful. Bugs, visible water damage and don't try and get a non-smoking room, you're still going to smell cigeratt smoke from the smoking rooms down the hallway.

A roach walked across the TV and his cousin was on the wall next to the bathroon. About 20 seconds later I was packe and left. Nastiest place I have seen. Don't do it.

The room was disgusting. Next time I'd ask a bum to slide over and sleep next to him. We seriously considered sleeping in the car. Due to a medical procedure and meds my husband was taking he had to get sleep so the choice was a little out of our hands. We checked in late and the front desk staff were polite enough. Our room was next to the stairwell and the banging of the stairwell exit door sounded like someone was jiggling our handle all night. The strangers hanging around the hall all night didn't help with that either. But we were able to muffle the noise by using a spare sheet at the base of the door. It also kept the intense cigarette stink out if the room. Nasty is the only adjective I can use really. It appeared the entire room was covered in finger prints, smudges, dust and other unidentifiable marks. The wall damage and water stains were less shocking than the damp towels hanging in the bathroom. I wasn't sure what exactly was clean or had just been refolded. The live bugs in the bathroom were great too. The sheets were the exception and the only reason we didn't just sleep in the car. You could tell that they had atleast been laundered and folded at some point. If you want a morning breakfast you'll get better options at the nearest gas station. At that point I was just hoping to not get crabs as we checked out as early as we could for his appointment. For obvious reasons we did not use the available Wi-Fi.

In a good location off capital blvd, near food shopping and fair grounds. Room seemed clean but carpet in common area was pretty bad. And housekeeping stands in the hall blocking traffic, not their fault, laundry room is right there as you turn to go to the rooms. But its still hard to get through carrying luggage. (This was 4pm) but for the price its ok for a short stay.

Anyone saying this hotel is "clean" must live in complete filth! Stains on the carpets, ceilings and walls. Housekeeping must deodorize the rooms with a weed scented spray. They like to talk loudly and bang the vacuum against the walls early in the morning. No chance of sleeping in. Check-in staff weren't rude nor did they seem happy. *** to the military mother, the hotel asking you to move your car does not equate to the hotel/company not supporting the military.

The location was excellenr service was on point and everything was great.

Before you read, you should know, I am the type of person that normally stays at Marriott's, Holiday Inns, etc. I had to stay some place cheap because only a few weeks ago I put a very large deposit on a new house. I wanted to stay some place cheap so I could attend and very good friend's wedding. Honestly the stay was slightly above expectation. Yes, the reviews about marijuana smells are completely true. I stayed on the first floor and even our last day there, the whole first floor reeked of marijuana, however, when you go into your room, it smells clean, it looks clean, the sheets smell and look clean and the bathroom is clean. The receptionist, who seems like a no nonsense type of person, did help us with an issue that I had initially with my credit card. My bank canceled my card due to an issue with the magnetic strip and this canceled my reservation and did not even think to call the hotel. The lady at the front desk, though she seemed annoyed, was able to quickly accommodate me. Breakfast was good and honestly better than some of the holiday inn's I've stayed at. (Waffles, cereals, muffins, begals, cinnamon rolls, milk, coffee, apply juice, orange juice, toast, yogurt (I am sure I am missing more) ) The area was NOT in a bad area. It is on a hotel strip, and an extended stay is literally a few steps down the street. I NEVER ONCE saw any drug dealers or prostitutes.

So far, so good. Minor things like, the toilet seat is loose. Beds are pretty comfortable. Room is quiet. I'd stay here again.

Very clean hotel! I really like it breakfast was soo good. Wafles yogurt cereal coffe juice bananas beagles toast. Cinamon rolls I recomend it!

Host wasn't rude but wasn't friendly. 3rd floor smells like weed and bleach. Very thin walls, could hear everyone walk by. I reserved a queen sized bed but the room had a full sized. Everythis was clean though.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE GOING TO MEPS, they don't support you or your families! I didn't stay there, I admit it, I did use one parking space in their mostly empty lot to go next door to watch my child swear in and ship off to boot camp. The MEPS center parking lot was full and my son told us to be there by 9am so we parked in the far back of the the Econolodge lot (NOT in one of the customer only marked spaces). Ten minutes after we got there an announcement was made that we needed to move our car or be towed. The lot was mostly empty, it would have cost them nothing to let us park there for an hour. My husband almost missed the swearing in because he had to move the car to an industrial lot across 4 lanes of traffic to find space. As property owners they had the right to do this but it was an absolutely crappy thing to do! I can assure you, we won't stay at this or any hotel in the Choice chain (Comfort, Sleep, Clarion, Suburban, etc) if that is their attitude towards our military and their families. BTW, the Motel 6 up the way didn't make people move.

I used to live in Raleigh but recently moved to Wilmington. My boyfriend and I checked in on new year's night, and we were very surprised. A lot of the reviews on this hotel made it seem like it was a kind of sketchy hotel, but we didn't have any problems. The lady at the front desk was very nice and the room wasn't bad for the price. The breakfast was a plus, but don't expect a full on buffet (they had coffee, juice, yogurt, bagels and that kind of stuff). Overall, it was a great stay! Don't let the other reviews fool you, good place for the money.

Here I'm going to rest the day of today.
