Update: Second stay at this location is even worse than the first. While the locks and furniture has been updated… ALL of the second floor rooms smell like mildew/mold. I tried switching rooms twice, and was still left with the same musky, moldy smell in every room. Tonight will be my final attempt at this hotel. Didn't live up to my expectations. The Holiday Inn Express is right next door for a far greater value. I've personally stayed in both now, and only stayed here to test the waters. It's more expensive and at a lesser quality. The furniture is outdated, the door locks are outdated, the showers are basic, there's no Ethernet cables, the beds squeek and the pillows are flat. It's not a bad hotel, but compared to next door, it's subpar.

I can only give this place 4 stars because it really is just a regular hotel. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just that I don’t think of the area as very touristy which would need a fancy place. The staff was very friendly, the place was comfortable, clean, and well cared for. It is conveniently located close to the base. My only complaint would be that the gym is very small. Less than a room worth of space.

Awesome customer service very nice comfortable room very clean.! I will recommend and I'm sure I'll visit again! Oh and very reasonable price. Gotta love this place…

Had great breakfast food pool the rooms are really nice.

Rooms clean, housekeeping staff pleasent, counter staff: typical. Its a chain, you knew before you checked in what you would get. Clean rooms, breakfast, well lit parking. Nothing to do handstands over but consistency has value of its own.

Staff was nice and rooms were very comfy and clean. Breakfast bar was really good as well.

The best hotel in havlock, no doubt about that. Ruby at the front desk was so sweet and helpful… no way I would ever stay anywhere else in havlock. If your thinking of staying there you should for sure.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Front desk was very accommodating.

The room was clean and had comfortable, modern furniture. The bathroom was well equipped. The employees were friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that the breakfast was underwhelming, but it was free, so I can't complain too much.

Bed is comfortable and room is clean. Shower was terrible, sink would not stop and room temp hard to conrol.

Went for baby shower. Was In the conference/event room. Always a pleasure. Also had a birthday in that room. Would recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. Always have a pleasant stay. Staff is always very helpful.

Overall, my experience was great. I did have trouble with the TV since it was Dish. It took 3.5 hours to finally be able to watch tv. Breakfast was good. Waffels eggs cereal and orange juice… all good :) Fast check in and check out.

I had a great experience. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great. I really enjoyed my stay.

It was raining so we could not use the pool. The room was nice, as to be expected by the Hampton Inn. Breakfast was pleasant, as usual. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Very nice, clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Didn't stay long enough to enjoy amenities. But breakfast was good. Simple & quick.

I'm giving this location a 5 for many reasons. I have stayed here on numerous occasions in the past and it was always a decent place to stay. This time things were very different. Even though no Govt rate rooms were available on the Govt site, with a phone call, they gave me a room at the Govt rate anyways. Great on this hotel staff. Breakfast is always decent and the rooms have been upgraded since I came here last. They really look nice now. Another really big plus is that there is a microwave and ref in the rooms. Most other Hampton Inns have gone to a community microwave in the lobby. Another big plus is that this particular Hampton Inn has wine (a few different products and sizes) along with Beer that can be bought in their store. This place also has Great location which is a big plus as always.

We do a lot of travel, we been staying here for years now, they are very accomudating, and consistant, very hard to fine these days. Everything is aways clean and comfortable, my wife is ultra picky. She's is very happy.

Very nicely appointed room. Loved the tile floors and the large sliding door. Front desk staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend this location.

A nice, newly renovated hotel withat a decent outdoor pool and the typical great Hampton Inn breakfast. The beds were super comfortable. I loved the alarm clock with convenient outlets and USB plugs and the sliding closet/bathroom door which made for more efficient use of the space. Just a short ~30 minute drive to Atlantic Beach. This was a perfect and affordable family place to stay.

The service was excellent and expedient. The well tended rooms we're inviting and invoked an atmosphere of home. Overall and excellent area.

King bed is very comfortable, very quiet rooms even next to elevator. Staff friendly and breakfast is great. To-go bags of of snacks for the work day. Return and get a nice warm cookie. Great hotel.

1. Our key cards NEVER worked, we constantly had to go to the front desk to get new keys that also ended up not working 2. Our bathroom did not have a fan 3. Construction on the conference room kept dirty sweaty workers in and out of the building 4. A water main issue called for an evacuation and NO water for 6 hours5. Employees attempted to make the stay bearable.

Good place close to cherry point mcas. Rooms are recently renovated, breakfast is decent, and service is consistent. I received payment for this review.

Great location if you're doing business at Cherry Pt. Recent reno and clean rooms w cranking AC. Wish Hampton Inns had bars, tho.

Overall nice place. However renovating so halls smelled of paint. Third floor which was not worked on yet reeked of smoke. Room really clean and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of choices, ample supply and good tasting.

Best place to stay in town. Overall nicest and most helpful staff. No issues or inconveniences with the rooms whatsoever.

The rooms are amazing and comfortable. The free breakfast had plenty of variety as well. It's within a reasonable travel time to the beach as well.

The Hampton Inn in Havelock, NC was not too bad. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good and the price was right. The only thing about the hotel that I did not like was the pool and the Internet. We went swimming Friday night and Saturday night. This pool had so much chlorine in it it instantly started burning our lips. The chlorine smell was horrible. We were hoping that they had just chlorinated the pool Friday so we were hoping Saturday would be better. Nope same thing. They definitely need to do better on the pool. The Internet is super slow. I had to do a few things for work this weekend and Friday night and Saturday night, the Internet was slow. So slow that I had to get my phones Wi-Fi in order to upload a few documents. I ran speed test and both times it was. 36 Mbps. I mean wasn't dial up faster than this 10 years ago? Overall the hotel is very nice with the exception of those 2 things. Next trip down here I will probably stay somewhere else mainly because of the pool. My kids love to swim and they hated the pool because it burned their eyes and lips.

Receptionist was extremely helpful and professional. But the room smelled old and was damp. Carpet looks dingy and is gross. Doubt I'll stay here again. Definitely needs renovating.

Last minute reservation. The front desk receptionist was excellent. The room was very clean with very comfortable sheets and bed. Bathroom was very nice with shampoo conditioner lotion and even a makeup remover. Will definitely be staying here again.

I just checked in and I'm already disappointed. I reserved a non-smoking room and got bumped to a smoking room. There are no wired network points available, and the wireless does not work in my room. There are plenty of other options in town, I'm tempted to check out and go find one now. For this price, a hotel better be able to get reservations right and make sure things work.
