The room was great. I really liked the privacy. The 2 queen beds were separated into 2 rooms with a bathroom inbetween. Balcony was overlooking a river. The room was mostly clean… road noise was VERY loud. Continental breakfast was not worth mentioning… or getting out of bed for. If you wish to stay Super 8 but are here visiting Gatlinburg plan to drive… ALOT!

Room dirty. Lamp shade had large stain on it. Bedspread had burns. Cobwebs all over. Had to kill spiders and other type bugs. Room had a foul odor. Ashes behind bathroom door. Balcony covered with bird droppings and chairs on balcony filthy. We have always used this hotel on previous trips to this area, but never again. New owners?

The hotel room and location was lovely. The river in the back all rooms have view too it. The room was very clean, the bed and linens were very comfortable not scratchy they picked the best quality pillows and sheets. They could use better comfortors. Service was great. The breakfast was not good at all though we came down around 830 all they had was cheap donuts and cereal. We were also told we would get a discount for a certain kind of visit we had and we didn't notice until later on they didnt apply it, they said they did as we were paying I didnt realize until the day of check out they didnt add it. I would also recommend putting the fridge and microwave in middle of two bedrooms that way both guest sharing a room have access to it in case the other is asleep. All in all it was a great location to stay and next year hopefully we'll stay here again.

Clean large room with nice patio on the river. I liked that it had a door separating the 2 rooms.

We had a great stay. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the hotel was very quite. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because the breakfast was awful, all there was toast, cinnamon roll bites, and a waffle maker. Other than that our stay was great!

Was very nice, and clean place to stay. Rooms were very decently priced, and a big plus because they all over look the river. All in all a great family friendly establishment!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, I love the price but I was very disappointed that the continental breakfast closed at 9am. Me and my family had a late check-in and did not get to eat breakfast although one of my family members tried to grab food but staff said no. I thought that was a bit rude but hey, its the price you pay. Beyond not getting breakfast, this motel was nice, clean, comfortable and also had renovations within the last yr or so. I would reccommend it to anyone, just make sure your up early enough for breakfast.

Two beds with a door in between for privacy that was different than most motels but it was clean and beds were comfortable also has balcony on river view only down fall was small breakfast options.

Meh. Smelled like a dirty ashtray. Can't be too choosy at 2am, though. No imagination when it comes to breakfast, either. Could barely open the front door to the room. It sounds crazy, but I think they laid the new carpet over the older carpet.

Bring your own pillows. Basic, clean enough, nothing fancy, fair breakfast, very nice staff. Decent room — AMAZING room for the price! Love the layout, don't like that there is only 1 TV per 2bedroom "suite. " Staff is great. Had to call back to see if we left an item & the person on the phone went to the room to check the drawers for me. I really expected to hear, "No. The person who cleaned the room would have found it. " Instead, I was asked to hang on while she actually walked down to the room and checked herself. Thanks so much!

The room was cheap, so that was good. The location was okay. It was about 10 minutes away from Pigeon Forge. The room was mostly clean. There was a blood strain on the comforter. We took the comforter off the bed and left it on the floor. When house keeping cleaned our room the next day, they just put it right back on our bed. Also, one of the "clean" towels had black hairs all over it. They do have a continental breakfast and an outdoor pool. We didn't make it to the breakfast so I can't comment on it and it was too cold to use the pool. I don't think we would stay here again.

Really nice hotel with split rooms (one bed on each side of a bathroom) which makes it really great for family trips. The balconies over the river are nice too. Has good Wi-Fi and the owners keep it really clean. The complimentary breakfast is good but nothing fancy. At any rate you can't beat it all for the price.

Nice place. Great view out back creek was coming. Rooms was so so clean, the jet tube was very nasty had to go buy my own cleaner and take and let it soak & run through the jets. Then I was conformable to take a bath & soak in it.

Very very good place to stay. Room was way bigger than expected and way nicer. Would love to come back and stay again.

Wow. False advertising at it's best. They say they are pet friendly. They are not. Evidently they do not consider Cats as pets. They are only dog friendly. Please cat lovers don't stay at Super 8s until they change their policy.

Very disappointed. First room we went in smelled so much like smoke that we had to change due to our daughter’s asthma. Not very clean, cobwebs in the room. Two rooms and only one television! Only two pillows per bed. And when we asked for extras pillows we were told they didn’t have any. Bathtub not very clean! Won’t be staying here again!

We loved this place. For real. We are card-carrying members of Marriott and this could not have been nicer. We stayed for 3 days. It seems to be an independently-owned place. Don't judge the place from its exterior, the interior of the rooms are fantastic. Away from the hubblub, with private balconies overlooking a river. The property next door across the river is a golf resort. The price could not be beat, extremely clean and orderly.

Pros: split rooms, very clean, employees were nice, seemed safe, saw some ducks. Jetted tub was nice. Cons: The ac/heat unit didn't work in the back room and the bathroom door didn't lock. Neither was a big deal, we slept with the balcony door open. I FORGOT to tell them before I left though so they were not given an opportunity to fix it. Only one bedroom has a TV. Definitely not enough coffee in the rooms. Overall I would stay there again if I needed to but would try to find something better first. But, it's cheap and clean.

Not the best hotel I've stayed in but definitely not the worst. Been remodeled in the last 5 years. It's great if your looking for a place to crash at the end of the day. They do have breakfast but you won't find eggs, bacon, biscuits, sausage, etc.

They should really not have Super 8 in the name. It's much nicer than some Marriot hotels. Room was extremely nice and clean.

I liked the way the rooms were set up. The price was good. I did not like the location though.

UPDATE : Stayed here for the 2017 Fall Rod Run. This place is nothing fancy, but it's a good place to sleep for the price. I did not get breakfast here, but was told it is better than last year. I enjoyed the wild life out back. Ducks are everywhere in the morning and we even had a raccoon visit us one evening. My father and his friend stayed here while my boyfriend and I stayed somewhere else. But from going into their room and walking around, it isn't a bad hotel at all. I believe it was just newly remodeled. Only complaint my dad said was the breakfast wasn't that good and said he would recommend people go somewhere else for breakfast.

Last minute reservation. Accommodated quickly. Clean quiet room. River view from private balcony peaceful. Would recommend.

We love staying here. The room is always clean and the bed is comfortable. Everytime we come to pigeon forge, we stay here. Seems like there is always a new upgrade with each stay. You can't beat the price as well.

Hotel was clean, staff was nice the 3 people we encountered during our stay. We paid extra for a suite and YES it was extremely roomy! Was worth the extra money! But no tv's in the bedrooms was strange. When we asked the man upfront said they only had a select number of tvs for the hotel and each room had 1. Also the beds were so hard, you had to make sure you were ready to fall asleep before you went into the bedroom other wise you would not fall asleep on the beds.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. My friend and I had our own room. Awesome. Staff was friendly.

Me and my family went to stay here last year on our vacation to Tennessee. It was A great place to stay, Vacation Wise. An amazing A. C. Great storage space, and There are Mini Refrigerators in the rooms on the third floor, Don't know about the other floors. Good breakfast, the two rooms are separated by the bathroom, a balcony facing the creek, An Arby's beside it, An outdoor pool, and All kinds of wildlife. Ducks, Groundhogs, Rabbits, Squirrels, people said they even see turtles sometimes. Complaints are — Only one room has a T. V. And our Air conditioner was leaking and we had to put towels under it. Overall it was very affordable but could have been better.

The Rooms was very clean it was a nice stay all around. Had a great variety of breakfast I would stay again.

Clean room, I loved the room set up wish I had taken pictures, we had a 2 queen bed room. Nice private balcony to sit on. Small continental breakfast included with stay, they do have an outdoor pool (we didn't use it, no time). Good rates and we got a few buck off regular rates using a couple in a travel book. Staff was very friendly, we checked out 10 minutes late and they were very nice about it. Would stay again if in area, would recommend.

Great place to stay. Really nice for the price. The only complaint is have is the smoke detector occasionally goes off when you first turn on the heat.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The shower was nice and hot, but the curtain was on a curved bar that made it awkward. The air conditioner was very touchy, and it was hard to make the temperature just right. Breakfast was pretty good, but there weren't many options. Overall, it was a good experience.

I stayed here for 3 days, June 20, 2016 — June 23, 2016. Everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful and our room was clean. The split room design was awesome and we had a great view of the river from our balcony. The room also had a small TV (tube), mini fridge, microwave, hairdryer, ironing board, iron, and the lamps had 2 outles on them to charge things. The breakfast was toast, cereal, and cinnamon rolls the one day I went to breakfast. It's crazy some people expect bacon, eggs, ect. When the room only cost $60 a night with taxes and fees. I will most definitely be staying here the next time I come to East Tennessee.

Beds were only made a few times with sheets definitely not being changed. Items not being restocked (coffee, sugars, etc…) Barely any outlets. Wi-Fi is a joke. Only works certain times and will not stay connected very long throughout building, and the internet speed is equivalent to dial-up. Don't expect to stream anything. (Less than 1Mbps download,. 04Mbps upload is what I hot at the best of times). The breakfast has a small selection. Decent prepackaged food. (Bananas were solid green but still edible). Was here during a terrible streak of thunderstorms. Called there manager about what to do in the event of a tornado (as they were touching down all around), he had no plan for that or any idea what to do. If you're looking for just a place to sleep and will spend all day away, its a good affordable place. But if you're vacationing and need a place to wind down in the evenings, I won't recommend it. Spend the extra money somewhere where it will go to good use. Gave it a second star only because it was pretty clean each day. Couldn't complain there.

Overall the place was reasonably clean and comfortable. The only negative was the breakfast had very little selection.

I had a good stay at super 8 and was really surprised with the rooms especially knowing the rates were very reasonable, the only complaint I had was the bathroom was a little small, I stayed in room 101 and was really pleased.

Clean, quiet, and great location. We have stayed here many times and it is affordable and the rooms have a great set up — two bedrooms separated by a bathroom. Great for light sleepers or if someone wants to stay up later than another.

We stayed here two years in a row. Last year we stayed for almost 2 weeks. It was a wonderful experience. Clean, comfortable beds, great staff. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

The room was very hot and musky when we arrived. The comode ran over the first time it was flushed. There was also a roach on the table beside our bed! My son's socks were BLACK from walking on the carpet, not to mention the filthy swimming pool! The water was so dirty you couldn't see anything underwater. Also, there wasn't a refrigerator, and the coffee pot that was advertised, is a ONE cup! We got a decent rate of $59.00 plus tax, but I would definately pay more next time for a cleaner room! Don't try to save a dollar here, you will be quite disappointed! We were.

I'm not sure how anyone could rate this place as nice, suggest that the service was good, or state that this pig sty was clean. We went with four other couples. The first couple checked in at a rate $30 less per night than what we were quoted. When we went to check in I asked why their rate was so low, the woman managing reservations was apparently flustered by the question and asked her manager to come and explain why it was so much less than our rate ($70 vs $100 a night). The manager asked me why I was making such a FUSS over the rate (odd, I thought I was merely asking a reasonable question). I explained that it seemed odd that we both booked our stay at the same time, requested the same type of room, so why the discrepancy? She said the computer was acting up, and that the first couple got away with a bargin. And, that Super 8 was getting "screwed" by letting rooms go at that rate. I tried to explain that as the CUSTOMER, I thought the reduced rate was good. She offer to let me cancel the reservation. So to clarify, I asked "you mean cancel this one, and rebook it at the reduced rate? ", and she said no. If you have a problem with the rate, you can cancel the reservation. Unluckily, we decided to stay and were welcomed with a fithy room, the carpets were horribly dirty, two tiny pillows for the bed, and the bed was hard as a rock. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this or any other Super 8 for that matter. Disappointed. Very.
