Old school style motel with clean, comfortable rooms. Scenic views and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the train depot. Will book a room here again on my next visit to town.

The room was very clean. No microwave but we did fine without it. Almost the entire town is within walking distance and very scenic to do so. The guy running the place, Clint, was extremely courteous and helpful with any questions and needed services. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The faculty itself is in need of renovations BUT it is clean. To me that says allot when a place is old but clean. The manager was super nice. As he was cleaning he noticed water on the carpet. It was his last room so he apologized over and over though I told him it would be fine. But he felt so bad he offered us the family suite upstairs, since it was not booked. We accepted. It was quite spacious with a small full kitchen, living room, three beds and even a little porch. I believe if we decide to take our grandkids to the Christmas train I will inquire on the availability of this room again. OH! I have the place 4 stars because the manager was so nice. The facility really does need some updates so I'd give it 3 stars but it's really not a bad place with a manager who keeps it clean.

Love this place. I stayed two nights over the weekend. Old-fashioned, key entry, everything is clean, and someone came in to tidy while we were out in the middle of our stay. Didn't touch anything of ours, just made the bed with clean sheets, hung up clean towels, and restocked the coffee. I would definitely stay again. Best hotel experience I've had.

If you are looking to be pampered and to experience the high life this place isnt for you. But if you are looking for a cozy and quiet place to kick back it's gold. The rooms are classic and comfortable. My wife and I will be staying here again in the future.

I stayed here a couple weeks ago. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I had someone named Clinton I believe his name was help me? He was EXTREMELY rude, was not helpful with any of the issues we were having, and our room was terrible. If you like outdated, grungy rooms, then be their guest. But if I were you, I would spend the extra couple of dollars and go elsewhere. WILL NOT be returning here, nor would EVER recommend it to my worst enemy.

Had called for a reservation, but they were full. Expected. They called me back after a couple of weeks and asked me if I still wanted a room, because they had a last minute cancellation. Wonderful customer service! Way to keep your returning guests.

Love the old school 60s original building and rooms are great. It reminds me of my great grandparents house. The view of the mountains is breathtaking! The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly as well. I enjoyed swimming in the pool with my husband. Everything was clean. I'd love to come again!

Gracey Manor maybe old school but still very much alive. The inn keeper there is an amazing young man and the owner is very down to earth and friendly. The location is not great, its perfect. I felt very welcome and at home. A pleasant stay and looking forward to my next return. Highly recommended!

An excellent old school motel from the 50s. This is the real deal, neon sign and all. It's convenient, cozy, clean and comfy in this great little mountain town. We'll be back.

I had a great short trip planned for myself and 89out if I'm registered and call me back. I did get a call back that day. We arrived at noon checked in a person said she just opened up our room. We had a very long enjoyable afternoon then called it a day about 9:30 pm. We were dozing when suddenly my granddaughter jumps out of bed screaming I looked down in the bed and there was a cockroach crawling. I got it and flushed it. I checked the bed calmed her down tried again. 20 minutes later a repeat. I called the hotel number and the message said to call Monday through Friday 9 to 5. I walked to the office and called the number posted on the door and text the number listed for text only on all after hours and weekends. My granddaughter and waited for a call while sitting in a chair and Lord behold a spider crawled down from the ceiling my granddaughter ran out and would not come back in. This started at 9:30 pm Sat 7/16/16 by 1:30 am I have not received anything from the people so I had to have money wired to me and find a new hotel. I returned to the Gracey Manor 3 times Sunday before leaving the area and still no one present or no communication or text. All I asked is a refund but I guess they will ignore me and carry on without the concern of ruining an 8 year old long awaited trip. It is now Sunday 7/17/16 and still nothing. Definitely do not recommend this place.

I will never stay at Gracey Manor again and I do not recommend it to any traveler or vacationer. Once upon a time, I adored this lovely, cozy 1950s motel, but this historical landmark was recently purchased by a new owner who has the intention of leveling the quaint building with the rocking chair porch and replacing it with a modern high rise hotel. While we had reservations prior to the sale, the new owner increased our room fee immensely while decreasing services — okay, basically eliminating services. No pool, no clean towels, no house keeping, no internet, no personnel on the property, and no one answering the phone number on the office door. At the end of our overly expensive and under appreciated stay, I said goodbye to the hotel that once welcomed us home like a dear friend, shoved my key under the map (still no one around), and walked away — knowing I'll never be back. And this new owner could build the most amazing and beautiful hotel anyone could imagine and offer me a week for free, and I still wouldn't stay there. I'd feel more welcome and receive better service sleeping under a bridge. I'm sorry Gracey Manor. You and your guests certainly deserved better than this new owner cares to give.

New owners. Raised the prices to as much as surrounding modern properties. No service whatsoever. No people working in office or on property at all. No one cleaning rooms or anything. We have stayed here for ten years this same week. I don't think we will be back.
