Good for a place to sleep while on the road. Convenient stop right off the highway but this location has a guard out front at night, it shows they care but tells you a lot about the surrounding area. Excellent service from the staff. Finally, there were limited options for breakfast when compared to other La Quinta locations (example: only had bagged hard boiled eggs vs the more preferred cheese omlet and sausage).

Fairly good. The place is convenient in order to get to the Charlotte Convention Center. The room itself is nice and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is nice too with it's variety and location. The only drawbacks are that the fridge is rather small and there is no microwave.

Good and cozy, great employees excellent service. Right there 8 min from airport, secondary road in case traffic it's great. Good dining room, excellent waffles and great tasting, variety of breakfast and great coffee, dark roasted recommended. Very centric crossing the road from hotel there is a waffle house and a gas station. Recommended if near to fly or just spend the night.

Complementary shuttle to the airport was great. Our room was clean and neat, with multiple types of pillows to choose from. The TV's had calming nature scenes on them, and the breakfast options were pretty extensive. I'd definitely stay here again.

Easy location to get to and super easy to get to airport without getting back on I-85. Room was clean, bed comfortable, shower good. Breakfast assortment good. Only wish they had 2-queens bed option.

Located convenient to the highway into downtown, making it close to everything. Excellent, very comfortable rooms, for a great price. Hospitable service and housekeeping. Very nice hotel. I think I will always look for a La Quinta for my future hotel needs.

I arrived at the airport and their shuttle arrived promptly after my call. Angelo was personable, friendly, helpful and kind. He went out of his way to be helpful and gave me information on shopping and restaurants that were in the area. I didn't have a vehicle and he offered to take me where I needed to go or to pickup something if I preferred to stay in the hotel. Wayne was also extremely helpful, friendly, personable and kind. He took me back to the airport when it was time for my departure. The front desk ladies were sweet and my check in and out was seamless. The room was clean and functional, housekeeping did a wonderful job. Definitely a place I would recommend and will return to when I am in the area. Thanks so much for making my stay so enjoyable. Angelo and Wayne are the best!

Comfortable bed and helpful staff. Room was clean and wasn't musty smelling. Easy access from highway. Would stay again.

While not the most up to date establishment, it was certainly clean and good where it counted. Came in at 2am and they took care of a last-minute check in with no hassles. Definitely recommend.

Service was friendly. Bed was comfortable. Normal quick food at breakfast bar. Bagels, yogurt, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice etc. Carpet was pretty funky. Had that "hotel smell". My non smoking room really was! :)

Cleanly. Quiet and restful. Smoke free. Courteous and attentive personnel especially the cleaning staff (inquired if extra towels or other items might be needed — we needed 2 cups). Though this is an age of GPS front desk personnel extended a caring touch by giving us directions in a city in which we were unfamiliar. 5

La Quinta is a pet friendly hotel. It was clean and smelled great. The staff were courteous and helpful.

We use this hotel 4 times a year on route to and from Atlanta. It is comfortable, its quality is very good (breakfast just OK), and the rooms can be heated and cooled to ones liking. Although it allows pets, I've never been disturbed by barking.

Stayed there for 2 and a half weeks minus the weekends. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Now the reason for 4 stars instead of 5:: the lobby and outside the front door is a hangout (for young people) before security arrives and after he leaves. Also The guy who makes the coffee in the morning adds WATER to the coffee when it runs low, I don't know if it's him being lazy or management is telling him to save money. The coffee looks like sweet tea coming out the pot and tastes like hot water and pepper. So get coffee at 5am.

Love this hotel no pool but great location right next to a chinese buffet across the street is a waffle house and a 24hr gas station that serves delicious food great tourist hotel will stay again.

We spent a Saturday & a Sunday night here (Labor Day weekend). 1st impressions were good. We left at noon Sunday and did not return until 2am Monday morning. The room was never cleaned! We had to go ask for clean wash clothes & towels. The continental breakfast included only 1 hot food, make it yourself waffles! Very limited selection of items. Very crowded serving area. Not likely to choose again.

I am forced to stay here since my employer does not spend much on employee lodging. The property is dated and in need off renovation. Also, the area (surrounding lots, businesses) are not well-kept either. The hotel serves as a place for travelers without a lot of money or those not willing to spend much money to stay. I am not impressed and there are far better locations and properties in the area to stay. It is all a matter of finances.

This "La Quinta Inn & Suites in Charlotte, N. C. Is the first time I've stayed at this hotel. My room was clean and everything in the room worked. The people at the front desk were nice and polite. They helped me out a lot with no complaints. The only downside to this hotel is the fact that it's a non-smoking Hotel. You have to go outside to smoke a cigarette. Which wouldn't be so bad, but this "La Quinta" is in Charlotte, North Carolina. And it's also the month of July. It gets really hot in Charlotte around this time of the year. But besides that I can recommend this place.

Room was neat, and clean. The walls were thick and kept the noise down. I couldn't hear noise from the rooms around me until I stepped out into the hall. The staff was friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to help. As an aside, the ability to hold a room with just my cell number was a godsend when flights were cancelled, and hundreds of people were scrabbling for hotel rooms. The coordination between corporate reservation, your front desk, and your shuttle bus driver was a great example of how teamwork should be. Thank you all for making a bad day end on a great note!

Room was neat, clean, and quite. Walls were thick enough so I couldn't hear other around me has nice laundry facilities. Good breakfast. Nice and respectful staff. I left a note asking for a few extra things and it got done. Besides the noise from the planes every now and then it was great.

I always enjoy my visits with La Quinta. To the point I use them almost exclusively for cross country travels. This location was no different. Not a four star establishment but definitely cozy and clean. The staff were courteous and the breakfast while not huge was sufficient. The location is a little difficult, it's easy to confuse the Sushi place next door's driveway but overall a score and convenient to airline travel.

When I fisrt arrived it rook 15 minutes for the lady at the counter to show up. She complained the security guard should have come to get her. The rooms are old and outdated. There is no closet or mini fridge. The next morning my husband and I go to breakfast across the street. Before we sit down, we received a call stating our dog had been barking for over an hour. The problem is we had been gone maybe 10 minutes. When we arrived back at the room I waited outside for 10 minutes and he was not barking. I will not be staying here again.

It was advertised as a 2-star hotel, however I was surprised how nice it was. The room was very cold when we entered but that was an easy fix. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Hotel was good for a quick overnight stop. Everything was fine except when we arrived, the door was not locked. We walked in and it was humid. The room was clean, but there may have been a little mold in the bathroom.

The worst service ever, I used to book with them a lot for my corporate guests since they are close to the airport but sure not anymore, the front desk employees are not helpful at all and there is never a manager in charge to talk to. I called a lot to make complains and every time they put me on hold for at least 20 mins and then no help provided. I'm for sure going somewhere else. Do not try it!

Hotel is out dated and dirty the breakfast sucks for a hotel that big (4 floors) we booked the best room and was not aware that this hotel was not non-smoking, we were never given the option when we checked in. Our room smelled of smoke and the one bathroom had a horrible musty smell. The furniture was old banged up and not working (drawers not opening) for the price we paid we sure didn't get our money's worth won't stay here again.

I went there because it was pet friendly, I was in a rush, and it was afordable for me ($150, 1 night, 2 beds, 2 pets). My room smelled like animal urine BAD. I understand that it's the guests who are letting their animals pee in the room, but the hotel should have cleaned it better or not rented that room to us. Aside from that, hygiene in general was not awesome. Found a pubic hair in one of my towels which was not pleasant. Staff was nice enough I guess, and there was a nice 'yard' for the dogs. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Very clean motel, rooms were updated and heat/ac worked good. Front desk was nice and helpful throughout stay. Breakfast was good and fresh. Conveniently located near food and highway.

Checking in was quick and simple although the staff seemed a bit weird. Room was clean, TV channels were good, bed was comfortable. Distance from downtown wasn't that bad either.

Made a reservation and requested a microwave and mini fridge… received an email telling me that i can have my request if I upgrade to a King size bed… then after paying extra I was told that there is no microwave or fridge in my room… Classic Bait and Switch behavior from LaQuinta DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Very disappointed after staying here for a class that was scheduled at this location. I did not feel safe during my stay here. Throughout my entire first night there were groups of loud people roaming the hallway including adults and children until 3am. They beat on the door to our hotel room several times and were yelling and running through the hallway. I was trying to sleep and I was scared that tgey would hear me through the walls if I called the front desk to report this. There was also someone smoking marijuana all throughout the night which left s very strong scent in our room. I woke up the following morning to someone making "ghost" or "spooky" sounds around 7:30am to be funny or intimidating. I was so nervous to leave my room. The breakfast that was provided was less than appealing with stale bagels, no cream cheese for the bagels, messy waffle irons and rotten looking bananas. I was so uncomfortable during my stay at la Quinta. I will know now that if I schedule another trip to Charlotte for leisure or education that I will need to find a safer and more accommodating hotel. I also saw roaches in my room as well. Very displeased. I did express my concerns with the front desk upon checkout. No real response was given.

Dirty! old bar of soup in shower with little black hairs on it. And dead bug in the coffe maker. Hard to sleep, creepy vide.

Upon checkin, room smelled like marijuana. Had to get a Change of rooms. Breakfast was terrible, no eggs, syrup container broken. 4th floor is smoking, we didn't realize there are still hotels that allow smoking.

Bring your own cleaning supplies, bring your own clean sheets, and bring slippers. No need to bring your own pet, there's enough animal hair from other animals in the room for you to create a stuffed animal version. I found hair and spots on my sheets, the floor clearly hasn't been vacuumed in who knows how long, probably vacuumed the last time the toilet bowl was cleaned (brown all over, YUCK). Nasty human and animal hair EVERYWHERE. NO trash bags in the trash cans. I work in the hotel industry in the midwest and I can honestly say I don't think my sheets were changed before I came here. There were Bobby pins all over my floor before I even brought my bags in (I'm guessing a girl that wore bobny pins with a big black dog stayed in my room within the last 15 occupants). The first room we were told we were staying in was in complete shambles without mattreses and then we got moved to a nasty dirty room. The person at the desk said " well, I didn't assign you to that first room… " so what, fix it… Don't stay here unless you have no sense of cleanliness or your really REALLY desperate (like willing to risk your health).

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Not only did I get scabies from staying here, but when I called to complain the manager threatened to call his lawyer and sue me. I highly recommend that you stay at a different hotel.

Our shuttle driver from the airport, Jimmy was fantastic. Truly turned our day around. Room was clean and check in and out was lightning quick.

FILTHY! Nobody here is wearing shoes in the hallway. I don't know what I was thinking by booking this dump. We walked out even though it was too late to cancel the reservation.

Be careful if you need early checkin. I paid for my reservation 3 months in advance, and when I arrived at 6:am to stay for 4 hours before my next flight, THEY WILL NOT CHECK YOU IN. They claim you can't check in until noon. They even said they have open rooms but will not allow early checkin. AND they refuse to cancel the reservation. So here I am sitting in their lobby with no place to go for 4 — 5 hours paying for a hotel room I can't get into. This is awful. Don't book here.

Very Comfy! Park and Fly $5. The decor is older, but the blankets and room was very comfortable. The hot water is HOT so you don't end up halfway through filling the tub and get lukewarm water.

This is not a five star hotel, but it's about as good as you can expect a low budget, pet-friendly hotel by an airport. They got the highest review for any comparable hotel in the area. They room was clean, the staff super nice and helpful, and the maintenance staff helped me move the beds to extract my hiding cats. The room was clean, and they also used a spray mist disinfectant on the carpet immediately after I left so they seem to try and mitigate the aftermath of pets. It's a tad run-down, but other than that, it's perfect for a pass-through or a quick trip where you need access to Highway 85 or the Airport.

The room smells like urine. Since they are full we are unable to move to another room. The room is questionable on what they call clean. Hair all over and the shower curtain is nasty. The area this hotel is located is questionable. Was told by the staff not to go in the area at night. The continental breakfast is the usual breads and sugars, nothing special. The hotel staff is nice and friendly! Won't be back again next year for the races at this hotel.

Just OK — I arrived and the front desk was welcoming. The hotel has 4 floors and I was on the fourth, all the way at the end. The entire 4th floor hallway smelled strongly of smoke, though I couldn't tell where that was coming from. My room was small, drafty, and you can hear all the noise from the nearby highway and planes landing at the airport. I turned on the heat to warm up and drown out the noise, but it was only the fan and never warmed up the whole night. A lot of light comes in from the hallway due to them not properly insulating the doors. Bathroom fixtures looked like they had been lifted from a much cheaper hotel. Breakfast was disappointing — options were scarce, the coffee was bad, though I did appreciate the Belgian waffles. If you're using this place as just somewhere to lay your head for a night as I was then it's adequate. Otherwise I'd suggest steering clear.

Before I booked at The La Quinta Inn and Suites Charlotte Airport North I read the reviews. They were all glowing and all right. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the staff members are welcoming, courteous and warm. My room was very comfortable; I felt safe and as a single traveler that is exactly what I need. This hotel is definitely my go-to home away from home when I return to Charlotte. Thanks to all.

Nothing short of shameful having to wait more than an hour the shuttle bus after calling it and called back for 3 times! And we weren't the only ones waiting! For the rest, nothing to say.
