Very accommodating and the staff is nice… and finally had the opportunity to taste the cinnamon water!

The Hotel was very clean. Hospitality was amazing. Waiter eas nice and friendly. I recommend this. Hotel to everyone. I give the a 5stare. Oh the chef is outstanding.

Everything, the front desk staff, amenities, room service and spacious and clean rooms. The atmosphere was always pleasant. I will only stay here on my next trip to Charlotte.

We stay here for our Kidfest event each year. The staff is helpful and very understanding of having a hotel full of elementary students.

Our cab driver dropped us at the wrong hotel. Your staff didn't hesitate to offer us a ride to the correct hotel and even offered us bottled water. Thank you!

Near the airport but you would never know it. Secluded surrounded by trees and foliage. Great hotel services and rooms. Great staff.

I was there for a company event, so I didn't see the rooms for overnight stay, but the ballroom was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and was willing to help us out when we had some technical issues with the audio during our conference calls. Very clean and nice hotel from what little I saw. If I were travelling, I would want to stay there.

This place is an absolute steal. You can rent a night here for around $100, and it is close to both the airport and the Panthers game. It is certainly more upscale than any of the other hotels you would consider in this price range. Like I said, I feel like I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton and it was only $100

The check in was smooth and the stay was great start to finish. I would definitely be back I love the view from my room and the room service was awesome and affordable. Staff was friendly and the pantry came in handy at 3 in the morning.

The was nice. Has a beautiful lobby area. I was there for a business meeting so I do not know what the rooms look like. I ate lunch at the clock tower, the restaurant that is in the hotel. While there food was good, they were slow. It seemed like they were not expecting a large group of the attendees to eat there. But they were good. They are a bit on the pricy side. Including tip my burger and fries meal came to $30. I would say it was a $15-20 burger.

This hotel is close to the airport. The rooms are larger than my first apartment in New York City. At first I was concerned to be on a lower floor due to a noisy group of people attending a conference, but the rooms are huge and the bedroom is located in the back behind a second door. The noise didn't bother me at all. When you enter the room you have a small living area with a couch and a chair, then there's a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave, across from that is a large bathroom, and then the separate bedroom. The space is a little tired but it would be perfect for couples or families that need some extra space for work. There are also two different televisions — one in the living area and one in the bedroom. The staff was friendly at check in as well as at the restaurant. We ordered several appetizers from the menu and everything was delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a large room near the airport.

We used this hotel as our host hotel Brats All Area Schools Reunion. Most of the staff that I interacted with were very cordial. I want to give a big thanks to Chelsea the bartender for her service. The overall experience with the hotel was mediocre and as a whole we did not feel the hotel was prepared to accommodate us. We explained what we needed and it was like pulling teeth to get our request me. With the amount of attendees that we had, we could've EASILY filled the maj…ority of the rooms but requesting extra rooms was a hassle as we found out that there was a wedding party there. However, I will say that we definitely appreciated the rates for the rooms that we had. That was a big plus for us all. As an individual I don't have many complaints but the a/c issues definitely need to be addressed. Reunion Committee Member.

This was my worst experience ever at a hotel. I had one good night of air conditioning. It start in room 807 at 2:00am no air and it June 29 so management move me to 813 the room was nasty wasn’t cleaned at all. So management move to 609 still the same problem the Core engineer came to the room to rest the system that didn’t work either the air conditioner finally worked Sunday morning when I was checking out. The District manager offered me 10, 000 points and charge me two nights and I’m a rewards member. I hate that SPG is partnering with this horrible company! This Mr. Jones run from this hotel…

Thr experience here has been the absolute worst. The staff is rude, the customer service is lacking and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially a Marriott rewards member.

The event was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous and clean. The staff encountered were friendly and service-oriented. I would stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for a training event for work, and I had a pleasant experience overall. Rooms were spacious, and the meeting rooms were set up in a welcoming manner. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I attended a local work event at this hotel, so I cannot comment on the overnight accommodations. The public areas were clean and we'll maintained. The ballroom facilities we're equally well maintained and clean. My encounters with the hotel staff were very professional.

HORRIBLE! It's coming up on 6:00pm and my room is still NOT READY! This is a convention center so excuses of "we have groups checking in" hold no water. It doesn't change the number of rooms in the hotel. All these rooms didn't get booked today! POOR MANAGEMENT… POOR PLANNING… POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I expect a much higher level of service from a Renaissance Hotel and I have been greatly disappointed. ***UPDATE*** After waiting over 2 hours for my room to be cleaned and made ready and almost immediately after posting the above review, the gentleman at the check in post graciously offered to give me a different room that was ready. I of course accepted and within minutes was in a room. I greatly appreciated the offer and only wish that when I inquired about changing the room to one of the young ladies at the check in area that she had the authority to have done the same thing. Still very disappointed with the situation but grateful for the initiative shown to resolve the issue. Bumping up a couple of stars and we will see how the rest of the stay goes.

The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. My room was very clean and well kept. The facilities where my company held our meetings were exceptional and the staff made sure we were well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel to anyone.

After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical about may stay. Upon my arrival, the reception was awesome. Everyone was pleasant and greeted me with a smile. My room was clean and comfortable. I spend a great deal of my time in hotels. My expectations are as if I were home. I was pleased with my stay. I will give caution if you plan to leave a tip for your housekeeper, please place it in her hands. I have an uncomfortable feeling that their supervisor is checking the rooms and picking up their tips before they enter the rooms for cleaning. I hope I am wrong. This was my observation. Thank you for an awesome stay.

We are attending a continuing education conference at this hotel. When we got here yesterday, our room was hot, so we turned the thermostat down to 60 and went to the conference. During a break, we came back to the room… no change, still 75 degrees. I tried to call the front desk and repeatedly got a recording so we walked down there. We were told that an engineer would be sent to our room immediately. We continued with our conference and went to dinner. When we returned, no change… it is now 2am, it is still 75 degrees. I have missed most of the night’s sleep and have continuing education sessions all day today. You would think, as much as we paid for one night here, we would’ve at least been offered another room. Worst night”s sleep in a very long time!

This is the second time I've stayed there, and both times had a great experience! The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are really nice. This time we had a small problem with getting new towels and such, but there were a lot of people there for the conference I was attended, so that's completely understandable.

We had a great experience! My most favorite part was our meal! The chicken caprese was wonderful and the tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons was to die for! I can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Came in late. Complimentary shuttle stops at midnight. I think hotel should make exception for guests on those late flights that arrive at 1150 pm or those 6 am flights. While room was comfortable, my room is overdue for spring cleaning. Will not be my choice for future stay. Staff at check in 5+ stars.

Older hotel in need of renovations. The rooms are very large but they need to be completely remodeled. I didn't even want to sit on the couch it seemed so old and worn out. The carpet is pretty gross and the shower is horrible. The concierge lounge is pretty decent, it has the same offerings as any other concierge lounge. The restaurant has pretty good food and the staff is very friendly. Overall I'd rather stay here then at a lower tier Marriott brand hotel. It is better than a Courtyard but not up to a Marriott or Renaissance level.

Hotel is nice. Staff is friendly. I reserved a suite with king bed for a great price. However… after check in, things were less than optimal. Dirty towel in the elevator… for four hours (meh, no big deal right). Get to the room, wine glass outside door from previous occupant (I didn’t check in until 7:30pm). No big deal. Get into the room, nice size. However… carpets have stains everywhere. No trash bags in the garbage can. Went to make a drink with one of the glasses that were provided… I don’t even know what the sticky substance on the glass was… again, I know how to wash a glass, no big deal. Ultimately the bed and pillow were clean and comfortable. I’m not one to make a fuss over easily fixed things. It seemed to be extremely busy on a Friday (some sort of party/convention as we checked in), so on the whole, it was really nice. Also, the food was delicious. Parking is $10 a night, as well as $50 “incidental” hold per night. Given the location, I would stay here again at the price I paid.

Service is trash. The front desk got my check in times wrong and I wasn't able to come to my hotel at the time I had booked. I got upgraded to an executive suite and the pull out couch started giving me back pain when I looked at it, much less having anyone sleep on it. I was on the phone on hold for 45 minutes with guest service asking to bring up a thick comforter and two extra pillows for the couch and a man was sent up to my room another 45 minutes later with a bed sheet instead of what I had asked for. Don't even bother with this place, your money is better spent sleeping at a motel with proper bedding and quick service. Two stars for the aesthetically pleasing elevators, lounge area, and lobby music.

If I was going solely on the service I would give this hotel 5 stars. The staff at this hotel were friendly, helpful and made the other issues easier to deal with. Unfortunately the plumbing issues I, and other people who were staying there with me in other rooms, on separate floors were very difficult to deal with. The sinks were backing up, and the toilets would not flush. The staff was very quick to help try and fix issues, but they kept reoccurring. My advice to the owner/manager would be to focus on their plumbing being corrected as soon as possible!

We recently attended a church event at this hotel. Our event was from Friday to Monday and we made use of a number of different meeting rooms for all types of activities, everything from dances to seminars to board games. We were comfortable in the meeting rooms, as they were specious and similarly, there was plenty of parking. While we did not stay in one of the guest rooms, from everything that we saw we would guess that they were spacious and we'll appointed. It seems there was a business center, a pool, a bar, and a restaurant. We had several meals while attending the events. Most of them were decent but the beef brisket was outstanding. The prices for these were fairly typical for hotel catering. Which is to say, not inexpensive but not outrageous. I suspect that we will have future Church events at this location. All in all, it was comfortable, spacious, and as far as we are concerned, met expectations in every way.

The Renaissance is a beautiful hotel. We were there for a gathering with a big group. The staff was friendly and ready to help. Everything was clean and the various meeting rooms we used were perfect for the occasion.

Christopher at the front desk was AMAZING! My 21 year old daughter missed her connecting flight on the way to Utah from England. She was stranded in Charlotte for 20 hours and no one in the airport were kind or helpful. I called Renaissance and Christopher answered. He helped me book her a discounted room, get through a third party credit card authorization form, and treated my daughter like she was his family. She told me the room was great, the bed comfy, and the breakfast awesome. Thank you again to Renaissance Charlotte Suites and Christopher for helping us!

The hotel has great amenities but they haddnt been kept up. There was a dead bug on the wall in the room as well as toe nail clippings in the room. We stayed mutliple days and not only did it look like they had cleaned when we got there, but we left all day one day expecting to come back to at least a made bed. That didn't happen either. Check in was supposed to be at 3 they told us they weren't ready. We waited till after expecting a text per the front desk and we never got one. We waited in the restaurant in the hotel were the server was very rude and tried to get us to pay before we were done. She ended up taking our receipt without a signature. It is a nice looking hotel and could be a great stay with proper training and staff but what we experience was far from that. I would save my money and go to a holiday inn next time.

Five stars for sure. Our rooms were ready at the time requested on the mobile check-in. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved the rooms. Suites everywhere!

All suites. Clean. Exec lounge. Food ok in restaurant. Airport shuttle came quickly but call hotel for it. Friendly staff and van will take you anywhere.

Stayed there for a night. Accommodations were generous and room looked tidy and new although the sound isolation was lacking. I heard knocking at my door only to realize it was th for the guests next door. Heard the whole conversation about their pizza delivery experience and thankfully didn't hear anything more exciting from them later that night. Staying there would obviously be beneficial if you had business to attend in the immediate area although I fail to see any other reason to stay.

My husband and I just returned from a 3 day 2 night stay here and it wasn't what we expected. To sum it all up in a nutshell. Our room wasn't ready until almost 2 hours past check in time. Understanding things happen and this weekend was extremely busy there wasn't any communication made to advise there was a delay. We almost missed the show we came to see from out town due to the room not being ready. We weren't told of the $10 parking fee until after all this was done and we returned that night from the show. The air felt like it wasn't working. We temporarily got it going but then it quickly jumped back up to about 71 degrees. By then that was icing on the cake for us and we were just ready to come home. The good part in all of this was Jim at the front desk (he was very understanding and patient through it all. ) and the room service! I also loved the fact the door closed off the living room area to block out the noise from the outside. The location is perfect and the fact that it's not on a busy road or near a highway is a plus! It's tucked away and we loved that. I can't tell you to stay here or not but based on my experience this weekend we won't be returning to The Renaissance. Yes, I also know that I am just like any other guest that will or have stayed here.

It's gonna be pricey but what an experience. The place is always clean. Staff is incredibly friendly. Walking into it and just seeing the layout, and the atmosphere of it was something to marvel and be wowed by.

So far one of my favorite Renaissance properties that I've stayed in. They are all very good. Front desk person was very helpful when I arrived around 1am. The suite style rooms are nice. Only minor quibble is that the bath towels are pretty sandpapery. Great place to stay though.

Great hotel to stay at, good customer service! Love the additional door in the room closing off the bedroom to the living area. It helps block out the noise from outside. The gym is way better then most hotels. And the breakfast is pretty good too. I would definitely stay here again!

I attended the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel for a business event. Not only was the hotel clean and neat, it was very elegant and well-designed. I especially enjoyed the tinted windows and strong air conditioning that kept a room full of hundreds of people cool even in 90°F weather outside.

The suite was very nice and clean. I enjoyed working out in the fitness center; where they provide disposable ear buds to listen to the TV while on the treadmill or other equipment. The indoor pool and hot tub was the perfect place to relax in the evening. I would rate 5 stars if the breakfast wasn't so pricey for the amount of food you get. I would definitely stay here in the future, but I will go elsewhere for breakfast.

I stayed at the Renaissance Charlotte Hotel for a two day work event. My room was wonderful. It was so spacious and comfortable. The food at the hotel was delicious. The hotel is so impressive and beautiful. All the staff was very friendly. I would love to stay here again sometime.

Stayed here april 29. I was supposed to stay until may 1 but on saturday morning I came across the biggest cockroach I have ever seen in my life. It must of been a full 2.5" in size. I packed my bags, went to the front desk, explained the situation and that I needed to check out immediately. They apologized and told me they'd add points to my account for the inconvenience. Well that never happened. Regardless, it was a disgusting experience.

The hotel is located off Tyvola Road in the old Charlotte Coliseum area; about 5-10 minutes from downtown. The room was clean and well laid out. I had the king suite with pull out couch. It was split into two separate rooms and contained a sink, microwave, and mini-fridge. It also had two TVs. The bed was a bit on the firm side, but I was able to sleep without pain from the springs. The pillows, on the other hand, were aweful. They were king sized down pillows but didn't contain enough material to support my head properly. Putting two of them together ended up forming a triangle-like structure when I laid on them and caused my chin to press towards my chest, limiting my breathing. I settled for one, but woke up with neck pains in the morning. I suggest bringing your own pillow. They offer room service, but I didn't use it. The charges were high and they added a 20% surcharge on top of that. They have a bar and restaurant in the lobby and the decor is very appealing. Overall it was a pleasant experience, except the pillows.

I've stayed for a day so far, but already, the experience surpasses that of my usual Marriott experience — — which makes sense. It's a higher price, higher quality experience. When I speak about hotels in this review, I'm referring to other Marriott brand hotels, particularly those in Charlotte (residence inn, Fairfield inn & suites, spring hill suites, courtyard, etc) I normally have my hotels replace my down pillows with foam pillows because of my allergies — — most other hotels get to the errand faster, but are less likely to have more than one or two pillows. This hotel took a few hours to get me the pillows (it was the middle of the day, but I was jetlagged and needed a nap, so I noted it), but they had four of them available for use. This is also one of the few hotels that took the feather pillows away, which is good, because otherwise sometimes the housekeeping for other days will replace the feather pillows on the bed (s). It's kind of a hassle to check which pillows are feathered. Usually all of them are, but the concierge here convinced me that it would be mixed, so I checked all 8 (with the minor temporary rash/itch on my arms to prove it) and they were all feather, as expected. Bit annoyed at that, but they were helpful as I called again to explain. The buffet breakfast is very nice compared to other hotels (though I think it should be included with the price of the stay).

We had an overnight layover in Charlotte and only spent around 6 hours at this hotel. Clean and classy. The staff was extremely accommodating, they picked us up late from the airport via free hotel shuttle, which was a God send. Yvonne, at the front desk, was amazing! She gave me the resources I needed to order food for my family after hours, and upgraded us to help get us on our way with ease in the morning so we didn't miss our flight. I was able to get my family fed breakfast, cleaned up, ready, and on out flight stress free. Thank you Renaissance Marriott and your wonderful staff!

Be sure to get a room on the far right of the building. I was moved 3 times in one day. The first was from a severe musty odor (much like a men's locker room). The second room a bit better, no odor however, the toilet overflowed at 2 a. M. Spewed out water all over the floor, was happy my items did not get drenched. Then finally moved to room 901 — — which by far smelled clean and had hot water. The service was nothing like any other Marriott I've stay at. Management was average, only sub par compared to other hotels. The bartender with the strong Hispanic accent was so rude to her co-worker, it made me uncomfortable. Was the last night of my weekend getaway, just wanted to enjoy a simple dinner at the bar. But after eating dinner and watching how this woman treated her fellow co-workers, I decided to skip desert. Not the worst hotel I've stayed in, suggest folks avoid this place.

Ouch. Mixed review. Booked one night. Clean, excellent club level room, in-hotel restaurant was exceptional. No concerns, perfect. Checked out at about 6.30 the following morning for a meeting, bill in hand. Found out after about 4 hours we'd need to stay another night. Back we go. Ask for a room and are told "we haven't checked you out yet you can have that room back" fine, didn't need it cleaned we didn't make a mess. Went down to in-hotel restaurant for dinner. Why not, the night before was perfect. We both had soup. Husband had Vidalia onion. His was cold. The cheese on top was so hard he had to use a knife and fork on a napkin to cut it. Entree. He ordered a chicken sandwich. I ordered ravioli with mushroom sauce. How easy can it be? They were out of mushroom sauce. No biggie I had them do marinara as per their suggestion. My husband can recommend the chicken sandwich. I cannot however recommend the ravioli. First attempt it came up stone cold. I asked them just to zap it in the microwave — hey — customer trying to make their lives easy. I think their microwave must be broken as after 25 minutes of waiting I'd had enough so I politely explained the issue and also mentioned my Husbands soup too. My entree was off the bill but they felt the need to bill my Husband for his rock hard cheese and onion soup. I let it go. Checking out the next morning we are told they can't check us out as the people in our room are staying for 23 nights and we must have the wrong room number.

Five. Effing. Stars. Hilton quality at Holiday Inn Express prices. The rooms were lavishly appointed, the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were impeccable. I was shocked at how nice this place was. I unreservedly recommend this hotel.

I was onlu present to help set uo for a meeting but everyone was very accommodating and the roon was set up as requested.

Nice large rooms, but most do have a window that faces the attrium — — not a problem for noise on the 9th floor, not sure about lower ones. Concierge lounge has basic items available, nice and big though. Staff is all very nice and friendly. Great hotel overall.

Very nice hotel. Wish the beds were more comfortable and that more amenities were free, i. E. Wi-Fi, breakfast. Excellent location, easy to find and far enough from downtown that lights and noise aren't a problem.

The hotel rooms & property were both very nice. I had an unusual experience at the onset of my stay that was handled with care & professionalism by Front Office team member, Meredith and Front Office Manager Kyle who both exemplified what genuine customer service represents and personifies in the hospitality industry. Kyle, thank you for compensating me in a tangible way, beyond my expectations. Thank you both (Kyle & Meredith) for taking the time to ensure my experience was both pleasant & worth sharing. Kudos for excellent customer service!

Stayed at the Renaissance this weekend & I must say we were very very pleased! The room & restaurant were awesome & the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be staying here for my next visit to the Queen City.

Inexcusably dirty. The staff were polite and efficient during check in. The lobby was nice. However the room was shabby and unclean. There were multiple large stains on the carpet. The bathroom and the area around the toilet was sticky and had obviously not been cleaned since someone made a mess. The TV in the bed area was broken, the screen was fuzzy and had lines across it to the point where you couldn't see anything. I would recommend staying elsewhere, unless you don't care about cleanliness.

The service is friendly, but not worth the price since only a bed is included. No breakfast and no Wi-Fi. Unless you pay at least another $25 a day.

The lobby is grand while being inviting! It's a great place to host your next business/church/civic/any type of meeting or get together! They have a concierge/bell stand and individual check in desks for customized and personal service! Kyle was great checking us in. We're platinum elite and since the club lounge was closed for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays he gave us vouchers for the outstanding breakfast buffet! It's a buffet while also customizing made to order eggs, waffles, and omelets! The room was awesome! It was a spacious living room with a desk/office area and a wet bar! There is a separate king bedroom with its own door which is comfortable for 2 persons; one is working at desk and the other retires for evening! Each room has windows and you can open them for fresh air! The full bath is great with high quality Aveda products! The club lounge is charming and offers delicious culinary varieties! It's open for breakfast Monday thru Friday. It's open for dinner and snacks Sunday thru Thursday. It's open in between to grab a coffee or soft drink (piece of fruit and/or cookie) with 2 quiet business centers. Please inquire for exact hours of operation. There is a powder room too which is great so you don't have to back to your room in the middle of breakfast or dinner!

I stayed here for one night while visiting with someone on my team. The check-in desk area is quirky in terms of there being random free-standing desks. The decor is a little dated, but everything is in good condition. The suite setup for the rooms worked great for my meeting and for me to knock out some work. Staff was always friendly and helpful and I encountered quite a few — front desk, bartender, housekeeper and hostess. If you don't rent a car, you're totally stranded. But a nicer option close to the hotel for quick business.

Rooms not very clean, overpriced, offered services but did not follow through, CHARGED MY COMPANY CREDIT CARD AND MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE ROOM, thieves, not a good place to stay. Charged another person in my group for items he did not use that were still sitting in the room untouched! Do not stay here.

Hotel was what would be expected from a Renaissance Suites. Not quite at the level of a Renaissance Hotel, and while this was a bit older, it was clean, everything worked well. Concierge lounge essentially served a 'dinner' each night, cookies we good.

I won't lie, the room was nice but we had a horrible experience. They charged us twice for our room and even after a week and a half of trying to get it fixed we have not received a refund. My wife actually caught it before we left and when she confronted the desk they assured her that the 2nd charge would fall off. It didn't, and it caused things to bounce in her account (thankfully our bank fixed it). We have called multiple times. Left numerous messages. Were told several times that they would investigate and call us back but only after calling corporate did they finally return our call. With all the time we've wasted on this, you would think they would not only refund the money they took but also the money we paid for the room! They've yet to do either! We are not happy! Their customer service blows.

We were there for a weekend for a Christian retreat. Apparently they booked a wedding party in the same weekend. The wedding party was loud and making merry in the lobby. But the worst part was at 6:50 am. My young children are used to getting up at that time for school. The walls are so paper thin from our room to the room next door we could hear the woman (and man) having sex next door. She was "oh, and Oh, and Yes and yes" though the walls. My young son was terribly concerned that the woman was being hurt next door. I stood at the wall and sang as loudly as I could. I figured if they realized they could hear me I could hear them. But they didn't stop. I called the hotel main desk to file a complaint and asked for hotel security to come up to our rooms on the 2nd floor. No one ever showed up. It was so embarrassing. The only thing I could do was try to explain this to my son. We brought our own bottled water, our own snacks, and did our own housekeeping. It was 4 in the afternoon until a maid came to the room to do up the beds. I was taking a nap at that time and told my children to tell the maid she could take out the one trash can and leave fresh towels, but do nothing (I didn't think she would really show up since it was so late in the afternoon. ) Only stay here if you get the room for under $75.00 that's all the service is worth.

This hotel is a nice place to stay, ecspecially if you want to have your car broken into and all the items stolen from your vehicle. The hotel does not appear to have any cameras or surveilance set up to try to deter thieves and no security guard on duty. The hotel did spend money on putting signs outside to let everyone know tht they are not resplonsible for items left in your vehicle. The hotel wants to get your money but once your in the parking lot on their property they could care less if your are beaten, mugged, or robbed. Thanks for looking out for your customers.
